IN THE EARLY HOURS OF JANUARY 4TH, a massive energy swell is reported in The Silent Icelands. The League and Team Rocket (thanks to and 's energy tracking technologies) send their finest to the ice-locked location, while experienced trainers or brave civilians join the fray to protect the region they call home.[break][break]

This stretch of Hoenn is purely encased in snow and ice. Steel and Ice-types flee the field—and some are in need of rescue.

Upon arrival, everyone's worst fears are realized. The devourer of legendaries, the galactically giant dragon of ice, emerges from its dimensional pocket once more. This time, it is aided by an UNBOUND HOOPA. For some reason, this Kyurem has allied itself with this mischievous djinn.

one may believe this djinn to have kept the creature's appetite satiated by drawing in meals by way of its translocating rings


And perhaps, this Hoopa's allyship is responsible for its newfound metamorphosis. Combined with the missing RESHIRAM of Hoenn, the Boundary Pokemon has transformed into WHITE KYUREM: a monstrous form of fire, ice and truth.[break][break]

The UNBOUND HOOPA laughs, its disembodied arms curling toward its muscular torso like maniacal arrowheads. It acts as the translator for WHITE KYUREM, for the dragon roars in draconid speech: a language gleamed from infusing itself with the embodiment of truth.[break][break]

It seems as if the Hoopa also desires to know the truth. The truth of this world. Of Universe 820.

Prophecies revealed in one thread will be revealed in the other thread and vice-versa.[break][break]

He's there. Of course he's there. He's not been dragging poor grunts to freeze their asses off in the Silent Icelands for months NOT to be there when there's weird energy spikes and reports of the pokemon in the area leaving the scene. If anything's got the pokemon spooked, then of course something weird is about to happen. At this point, Neon listened to the omens Hoenn gave him. And this is one of them. [break][break]

"Neon reporting oh, so fucking live! They're scrambling! I'll move in closer!" he said into the comms, already racing forward as his Weezing, Tortellini cleared a path through the snow until he hit the giant ice patch. [break][break]

she has avoided the silent icelands for months now. memories come alive there, hungry and insatiable, reminding her of a year from her lifeline robbed, frozen solid and shattered into pieces. she lived, for months, with the primordial hunger skulking in the back of her mind, gnawing at already-fraying strings, promising that it would be her end.[break][break]

she mobilizes as soon as the news reaches hq. wayward texts are sent to , , and, after some hesitance, .[break][break]

they're greeted by a blizzard, she and lyune. her sygna suit flares to life, shielding her from the worst of the cold, and lyune bellows into the freezing winds. through the flurries, the beast emerges - the colossal kyurem has been warped. her mouth goes dry, lips a thin line, as she cranes her neck back, back, back, and stares up at the malformed face of the hunter.[break][break]

its features, albeit malformed, are familiar, and she realizes with a sickening start that this creature has done more than gorge on an otherworldly rayquaza. it's taken their own. reshiram is gone, absorbed in some macabre attempt to satiates its hunger.[break][break]

The ginormous White Kyurem was visible from miles away. Andrea froze up at the sight, gruesome memories of the Meteno incident resurfacing. Why did she always find herself at the wrong place at the wrong time?

She could feel her Pokéballs shaking with rage, her party craving revenge against Meatloaf's murderer. "I know you wanna fight him, Chomper, but..." This wasn't a threat they could take head on. They'd already paid the price once for being reckless.

Nearby, a Bergmite family of three were trying to escape the roaring blizzard, when a frozen tree got uprooted, threatening to crush them. The young cosplayer sprung into action. "Go, Savage! Use Flamethrower on that tree!"

With its fiery breath, her Roaring Moon melted the icy hazard into a puddle, saving the poor critters. "That was close-nnngh..." Andrea winced in slight discomfort as Kyurem's decree of truth suddenly rang in her ears. "O-oppose the future?!"

The nerve of Shirley is in all time high and Zahra can't put a blame on her even in the slightest bit. A wave of heat brushed over the Silent Icelands, providing a momentary reprieve from the unforgiving cold, only for the warmth to evaporate almost instantly. Andrea looked up, spotting a flying Ultra Beast and the unmistakable figure of riding on it.

"Team Rocket is here too..." The dragon-costumed girl muttered under her breath. Processing that information would happen at a later time. Staying alive took precedence. She cupped her hands around her mouth, hollering at the Underboss. "WE NEED TO STOP THIS BLIZZARD!!"

Savage roared at the sky, attempting to offset Kyurem's raging snowstorm with its Sunny Day.

As she venture deeper, like she has expected from before - the temperature is no joke. Not even her thickest winter jacket and multiple hand warmer able to fend off the coldness. She start to second guess her option to move forward. Sure, sometimes keep moving forward would lead you to a wondrous scene but to see that scene one must stay alive after all. Shirley share the same sentiment as she has been nudging the edge of her jacket, insisting her to go back. I guess our journey forward is halted here, huh Shirley Zahra murmurs as she rubs the head of Shirley. What usually is warm, it has turn into cold. As she walks, she a pokemon use SUNNY day from afar. Come on gals, warmth is near. Let's go! Zahra tells Shirley while pointing at direction. Kyurem hadn’t hurt her personally. But she saw the devastation at the Silent Icelands. She had spoken with , heard of her loss and the loss of several others. And she still remembered vividly how Necrozma had inflicted her with similar wounds.

Some part of her wanted to fight, but she had grown since then. She had accepted that some things she simply could not fight. And so, as she focused her efforts on saving those she could.

Many Pokemon tried to run from the blizzard but some proved too weak. They needed a momentary shelter from the roaring Blizzard. And Elinor was here to provide!

“Lix, create a stone wall there.” Elinor quickly commanded, her voice fighting against the wind. The Steelix by her side roared as it used STONE EDGE to pull huge stone spikes from the ground forming an impromptu wall against the snow, or at least trying to.

It didn’t take long before the first few wild Pokemon sought temporary respite there.

A tremendous roar heralded Zev's arrival on the back of his Charizard. But unlike past deployments on behalf of Team Rocket, he did not wear a mask to hide his identity. In light of recent events, he no longer saw the need to hide who he was. [break][break]

"Beckett's right," Zev said over the comms to . "Give it everything you have." [break][break]

On cue, his Charizard unleashed a DRAGON BREATH upon the Kyurem as they flew by it. Ice and snow from the BLIZZARD pelted them, but beneath Zev's clothes, he burned hot with light. [break][break]

As his Pokémon peeled back to relative safety, he scanned the area for a familiar figure. He and had come together, but he'd split away to attack while she'd remained on the ground. At last, he spotted her. His Charizard dropped him off at her side before rejoining the fight. [break][break]

[attr="class","roythread"] Summoned from a mere text message, Roy finds himself in the company of a titan. He was used to this. These beasts didn't scare him anymore, at least not like they used to. Recklessness was his middle name. Even if he felt driven to protect the region, his carelessness would make him appear unreliable to those around him.

In one dramatic move, the trainer dismounts his charizard and retrieves another pokemon from his pocket. With his heels sliding across the ice and snow, he calls forth this pokemon. Instead of his charizard, a giant snail is forced on to the battlefield. Balmung, his charizard, is ordered to a position beside him. Roy makes note of his cousin in the skies before turning his focus to the battleground.

"Make it hurt."

His teeth are revealed through a grin. The Goodra acknowledges the command and concocts an orb of energy from her mouth. In a sudden release, the sphere of dragonic energy is fired towards the colossal beast.

as part of team rocket, it'll be maki's job to quell such threats when they arise. there's nothing to rule over if the region gets decimated, after all.

she's never seen something like this, though. she rode into battle on her aurorus earlier, commanding it to use mist, but the dragon's blizzard blew away any hope she had of cloaking herself. that means she's going to have to tread cautiously, as aurorus is a large target. one wrong move, and both her pokemon and maki could die, though the kyurem doesn't seem as interested in assault as she would have thought.

there's little she can do to stop the blizzard, but she can provide cover. "stone edge," she commands, much like and her steelix. the move creates a wall that blocks off the harsh winds and snow, and maki ducks behind it for shelter and to regroup. as much as she hates to say it, she's out of her depth here. she doesn't always work well without being given orders, so she needs time to think and to plan.

this may very well be a war of attrition, either way.

This cold bites. It seeps down into the marrow of his bones. Even clad in a gold-scaled sygna suit, the cold threatens to overwhelm him. Arthur voices his protest. The Kommo-O, like most dragons, hates this weather.[break][break]
Darkness little cares what mortal beings do and don’t like. Darkness threatens to consume. Darkness must always be fought. Arthur rages against dying of the light. As the cold saps strength from his bones, an aura of pure fighting spirit gathers around the dragon’s right fist. His clanging scales signal the coming attack against the titanic, glacial dragon.[break][break]
It feels less like they are fighting a monster and more like they’re punching a solid wall. It’s fight or die. He knew what he signed up for.[break][break]
At least he has Lyune’s flames to keep him warm, courtesy of and her dragon, attacking from on high.
