The herd of Venusaur aren't the only dinosaurs on the route that day; like Kazimir before him, Gavin enters the scene atop his Tyrantrum, the deep blue hide of the beast warmed by the sun. Their pursuit is slower, more methodical, aiming to cut the swarm off at a pass rather than to run in their wake.[break][break]

Gavin's aim, as always, is for the Venusaur whose pale green coloration stands out in the swarm.[break][break]

There was one big question that would forever be debated: was Venusaur and it's evolution line based on toads or dinosaurs? Well, it moved like a frog but the "saur" implied a dinoSAUR. Wait. How come no one has ever argued that they were both? Some kind of toadasaurus?

Not that Gigi knew anything about these fictionary toads and ancient relics. Unfortunately, she didn't have the power to break the fourth wall. Only her roleplayer could sprinkle some fourth wall breaking material into her ~~posts~~ actions. But that's beside the point! People need to put aside their differences and realize that both are correct - gosh dang it!

Oh, but, back to the focus of our story: Gigi.

Gigi whistled as she saw the crowd. Wow. Her chances were astronomically low for catching either the Bulbasaur, Venasaur, or diseased Venasaur. Luckily, a competitive fire fueled her heart. She'd prefer a challenge than a cakewalk any day (well, maybe not every day).

Captcha the Rotom rotated around her as she fished for a Pokeball. "RNG gods please!" she murmured as she often did when playing any semi-luck based game (especially those ones with irritating gachas and you've tried 100 times but it hasn't given you the ultra rare and-).

dominic is somewhat familiar with the species - he's caught dozens of them back at home in kanto to be sold overseas - but he's never stopped to think about the minutiae of their behaviour. in sum, if anything was amiss, dominic doesn't notice. throws out an empty pokeball the same way he has done over and over before.

he's seen land before time where a bunch of dinosaurs migrate from one place to another. the sight of the venusaur travelling makes him remember the animated movie of his childhood.

he takes a pokeball out and tosses it at one of the venusaurs lagging behind the group. by the time it goes through the crowd, kyle starts to notice the trend with the way these pokemon travel lately. this wasn't the first time.

kyle tries to squint ahead from the direction they came from, but he couldn't quite tell what was happening.

Hoenn's borders had become incredibly strict, which meant that for the time being, his own Venusaur, Gustave, was stuck in a PC for the time being. Hopefully eventually though, he would be able to reclaim one of his primary team members. For now though, the group of Venusaur and Bulbasaur that were migrating was of interest to him. Watching from a distance, he wondered if it was an evolution ritual, like the ones he had seen in the past. But something about it seemed... Off. He wasn't sure what was going on with it, but... Hopping down, he decided to go and investigate.

Moana watched as a group of Venusaur, Ivysaur and Bulbasaur trudged past him, his mouth open with shock. Sure, he had heard about the sudden influx of Venusaur, but he hadn't really expected to see it. But here he was, watching as these large Pokemon migrated towards... whatever Venusaur migrated towards. He really had no idea. He was just interested in seeing them, and he had gotten his wish.

However, the safe distance he was spectating from was soon compromised when a Venusaur turned and plodded directly towards Moana. Moana panicked for a second, unsure if the Venusaur had seen him and was trying to confront him. He could send out Wali to try to fend it off if he had to, but he didn't know how powerful these Venusaur were. Plus, he didn't want to attract the ire of the herd. Type advantage or not, a single Sigilyph would only do so much against an angry herd of these Pokemon.

Carefully, he pulled a Pokeball from his bag. This one was empty, and he threw it at the dinosaur-like Pokemon, hoping to catch it. It was far enough from the rest of the herd by now that they didn't notice his attempted capture of the Venusaur, he noted as he watched the Pokemon go into his ball, crossing his fingers that it remained caught.

Taking a break from the hunt and all the chaos associated with the appending war that was about to hit the region, the burnt scarred male found himself wondering the harsh conditions of the tropical rain forest. He grunted as he swatted at bug, grunting while he made his way through the thick vegetation. It was only when he was about to give up on his little adventure that he spotted a parade of venasuars and a bulbasour march in this path. He paused, gaze watched as they moved by him and kept an eye on him like he was up to something. The sensation like he was about to get attacked washed over him. Luckily, the wild pokemon left him along and disappeared before he could even do anything. “Well then,” he mumbled to himself, shrugging his shoulders before continuing his adventures, “That was strange.”

Hearing of the migration of seed pokemon Razz can't help but come to see it in person. Even with all his time in Kanto he's never had a chance to see such a thing despite their being native there. It was interesting to see them traveling and part of him pondered for a moment if they were going to the 'mysterious forest' he heard humors about on where bulbasaurs went to evolve, thought considering their speed it did seem like they were rushing. Razz even gave his Meowstic a side glance who seemed to be looking toward the direction they were coming from, though whether he was doing it because he sensed something or because he wondered how far back the pack went he wasn't sure. [break][break]

While watching them though he did notice that one was about to stomp out a smaller pokemon so Razz through a pokeball to stop it. He didn't care for catching it, but it would at least avoid a problem. [break][break]

The poisonours spores of the Bulbasaur line are incredibly useful. It's why she's here now, watching from a distance with her eyes following the lumbering gait of these gentle giants. They have no interest in her as of yet, and she bides her time. The chances of her peeling away one of the bigger and healthier brutes is slim to none, though her pack of Lycanroc are hard at work on the attempt.[break][break]

Choosing one of the babies is also difficult given the gigantic feet made specifically for trouncing. The last thing she needed was to rehabilitate an injured dog, so she had specifically given instruction to interfere - not to interact.[break][break]

So far, all she could hear was the bellowing of irritated dinosaurs and unhappy campers. Her Lycanroc snarl and bark as they weave between stubby legs. They manage to narrowly avoid being trampled, bitten, and poisoned. When they return, Emma gives only one a sideways glance and a scratch behind the ears. [break][break]

Rufio would hit the scene with hands in his pants' pockets, strolling about while whistling due to being quite a bit bored. Being a bit ignorant, or rather the fact that he didn't care to pay attention, the fact that the Grass and Grass/Poison-Type were fleeing something would soar over Rufio's head and he'd merely assume they were indeed migrating, which they were not.

Also ignoring the other people in the area the Leaguer would continue to stroll on until he found a keen target and in an instant he'd launch a Poke Ball high into the sky, blue energy streaming out to release the likes of....Lockjaw his Croconaw. Watching Lockjaw come down hot like a falling meteorite Rufio would give his first Pokemon a single order.

Jaws snapping open the large crocodile-esque, nay Dinosaur, Pokemon's teeth would begin to glow an icy blue while a chilling fog would begin to emit from their maw. And then, CHOMP, Lockjaw would clamp his new ice fangs into the actual face of his target before turning to the left in attempt to slam it's foe onto it's side while continuing to hold them in position for a Croconaw never let it's prey go once bitten.

In this Rufio would sneer with pride in his Pokemon while launching a new Poke Ball after their Wild Pokemon prey....
