SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER
THIRD DAY OF THE WAR
FALLING WIRES
While
Adrian Malcolm's Alakazam attempts to slow their fall, knives in hand, his Gardevoir assists. A powerful
SPIRIT BREAK from his Grimmsnarl allows it to protect its trainer— and with its inhuman Samsonian strength,
Adrian Malcolm and all of his Pokemon descend in the north with a heroic, perfect landing.[break][break][break]
The wires continue to compact the earth as they land. As
Rex Drago's prize Aerodactyl weaves in between the cords, the ground rumbles below. Each landing causes the ground to quake violently. Despite this,
Balder Schwartz's Duraludon and Camerupt cut across wires, or push them before they can crush them.[break][break][break]

While he moves towards the generals, he shouts at them; however, they're high up in the air— and unable to hear his inquisition...[break][break][break]
THE GENERALS
Remiel Calcifet's Mega Gardevoir
TELEPORTS. Attempting to bring
Remiel Calcifet and his Zekrom proves to an arduous task— but after a brief delay, they are able to move towrad Jules and Philomera.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
A
DRAGON BREATH blows against them as Tahlia, the champion nears. Philomera attempts to leap, trusting her partner to catch her as they swoop downwards; however, she freezes mid-launch. Her limbs suddenly fall limp as she falls asleep due to
dominic sinclair's discreet sleep.[break][break][break]
Tahlia watches as Philomera takes the brunt of the flames, and
as she wails in pain— her body begins to melt away despite Jules' and his Naganadel's attempt to withdraw. Philomera's body falls, charred and lifeless. As Jules screams, he lunges for
Remiel Calcifet, Naganadel's needle aiming for the Galarian Ambassador as the former champion follows on Tropius.[break][break][break]
However, a
DARK VOID strikes them all— and threatens to strike
Andy Blackadder,
Andy Blackadder's Yanmega,
Remiel Calcifet and his Zekrom. Jules, Naganadel, Tahlia and several of Tahlia's reinforcements begin to plummet from the sky.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
In the chaos, Tahlia disappears in the mess of Xurkitree cords.
She eventually crashes into the earth to her death among a graveyard of rubber-black.[break][break][break]
Jules and Philomera's Naganadel, however, is visible throughout his entire trajectory...[break][break][break]

THE TAIL
THE ASSAULT ON THE XURKITREE'S CONNECTIONS is a race against the clock. Mauville's earth is charged with electricity. As several cords disintegrate due to being severed or damaged after their landing, the connected foot and tail siphon energy from the earth itself.[break][break][break]
Rex Drago's Aerodactyl attempts to grab the gargantuan tail to pull the plug after narrowly avoiding being crushed by a cord. The adrenaline pumps— but the Aerodactyl opts to strike the tail instead, for it is far too large to pull up. Nearby,
Andy Blackadder's Gengar's
SHADOW BALLS explode against the charging tail. Similarly,
Samuel Boothe's Mega Salamence and Alakazam add to the fanfare, their
DRACO METEOR and
FOCUS BLAST joining with
circe crowley's Mega Absol's
STONE EDGE to attempt to unearth it.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
She sees
Raziel Beckett's Zeraora attempt to strike the charging tail with its electric
GIGAVOLT HAVOC. Quickly, she realizes some of the residual currents seem to be attracted by the tail— as if empowering it too, and although her Dragapult attempts to prevent Razz's Zeraora from using its attack, it fails for the Z-energy is too strong to restrain.[break][break][break]
As
Raziel Beckett's Zeraora strikes the tail, a powerful surge of energy strikes the plugged tail and illuminates it with a blinding glow. This electricity travels up the cordage, and as it does so,
it causes the black limb to become erect as if coming back alive...[break][break][break]
THE FOOT
While
Moana Reyes's Pokemon valiantly assault the plugged in foot toward the south, the trainer sees Mauville's previous gym leader,
cait alfric, attack with poise. Her Braviary and Magmar attack the foot with flame and sharp winds. While the remaining Megalopolan troops are picked off by the future Elite Four's
EXPANDING FORCE,
Thomas Benoit's Hydreigon attempts to unearth the foot with
EARTH POWER.[break][break][break]
However, it's not enough. The foot remains secure in the ground despite the fraying and peeling rubber coating. However, everyone's attacks culminate to grant
marcel maeda's Silvally with an opportunity to land a powerful strike with
BREAKNECK BLITZ. The Silvally slams into the plugged-in foot and pries it upward by a margin despite the gargantuan plug. Copper prongs tear up root and dirt.[break][break][break]
However, the foot's damage to the ground can not be compared to the dramatic destruction caused by
Bailey Cooper's crimson beast. As flames flare from her body,
DESOLATE LANDS activates. The entire battlefield is
drowned with hot sunlight. Nearby, the waters recede and expose the sediment underneath.[break][break][break]
From the Groudon, a
FISSURE tears through the earth and snakes toward the foot. Thanks to everyone's efforts, and the Ultra Beast predator's
Z-MOVE, the foot is exposed enough for the
FISSURE to tear it in half with a gory upheaval of earth and wire.[break][break][break]
Darting across the highways of cords,
kyle lopez's Raikou and Entei tear into the coating. However, they witness the surge of electricity moving up from the plugged in tail. The energy travels up the lifting limb, surging toward the Ultra Beast's spiky bulb-like head. As a pulse of electricity reaches it, the white head glows briefly before a thin ziptie sheds off of it and travels downward.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
marcel maeda's Clefable, Golduck and Gardevoir are swift to react, targeting the ziptie while
kyle lopez's Raikou and Entei travel across the wiring at incredible speeds. They tear into other zipties that form before they can solidfy into proper functioning bands of reconstruction. Thankfully,
Cillian Quinn's Lycanroc manages to sever the connection that provides these weaker zipties. A
SPLINTERED STORMSHARDS erupts into the wall to tear the cord in half and causes an explosive spark.[break][break][break]
Like
marcel maeda's Silvally,
kyle lopez's Beast Killer proves to be potent. While the Ultra Beast attempts to ressurect itself, its white head is clutched by the liberated chimera. Roaring triumphantly, the Silvally
CRUSH CLAWS the head, the immense pressure causing the head to shatter like a smashed bulb.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
As white shards spray out from the crushed head,
kyle lopez's Silvally leaps backward before the surge from
Raziel Beckett's Zeraora's
GIGAVOLT HAVOC reaches it. Instead of being siphoned into its head, the electricity surges upward into the
HARSH SUNLIGHT. Like a reverse thunderbolt, the sky cracks with earsplitting thunder before the Xurkitree falls back from its semi-lifted state.[break][break][break]
The tail stops charging. The Xurkitree is dead.[break][break][break]
ATTACKS
WHILE THE GROUDON ATTACKS, Bailey Cooper is swarmed by
LEAF TORNADOES and
SCYTHER DOUBLE TEAMS. Several cuts make purchase on her fiery body as her Groudon groans with disgruntlement.[break][break][break]
Within the Power Plant's exposed lower level,
Lucas Lane,
Katherine Fairburne and
Cillian Quinn continue to confront each other. The Underboss' Lucario spreads
LIFE DEW despite its compromised position, allowing everyone to relieve some of their pain. In the mean time,
kyle lopez traverses across the waters, his Suicune creating ice with every graceful step.[break][break][break]
[break][break][break]
However,
Tsubasa Yamamoto's Porygon shoots out from the wormhole on the ground of the Power Plant. The wormhole is unstable and moments later, the opening closes shut. As the Porygon emits cries as it attempts to make sense of the situation, a
DISCHARGE is spread from its body— and the electricity is quickly absorbed by the steel construction of the plant. Sparks strike
Katherine Fairburne,
Lucas Lane, and
Cillian Quinn before the ground shakes.[break][break][break]
Cillian Quinn's Lycanroc severs the cord as
kyle lopez arrives on his Manectric. The explosive spark of electricity is quickly siphoned from the cord in the wall by the dog.[break][break][break]
As
Lucas Lane attempts to escape with his Machamp, his run is slowed by
Katherine Fairburne's Sableye and Reuniclus; however, everyone's escape would be stalled by a hair raising roar from the heart of the power plant.[break][break][break]

From the gut of the plant, a terrifying force bursts through.
Lucas Lane's desire for help comes coincidentally. As what can be described as the residual
V-CREATE energy swirls around his body, he is protected from being clobbered by a
terrifying draconid covered in putrid sludge. Finally freed from its prison, a slimed Giratina rushes out of a lower level, tearing a hole through the power power plant's rubble above.[break][break][break]

It cries once more as it flies above Mauville's southern route. With a harrowing cry, the Giratina makes its presence known before vanishing with a
SHADOW FORCE.[break][break][break]

- The Ultra Beasts in these raids will not be exactly the same as their previous iterations on the site.
