Simple game with simple rules.

Each person draws a number and then picks a gift from underneath the tree. Everyone present has brought a gift, labeled themselves as the gifter, and keeps the contents a secret. One by one, everyone will pick a gift based off their number until everyone has a gift.

After that, everyone will draw once more. Players will then have the choice to swap their gift with someone else, in the order of the second drawing, until everyone has had their turn. Only then may they unwrap their present and leave the other players salty as they marvel in their newfound gifts.

“Who’s up?”

Much to his surprise, and despite their insistent comments about not wanting to join in, Fernando finds himself once again surrounded by his colleagues. Typically, the League does not sponsor such an event. But this year, everyone gets a little closer due to their unifying goal in repealing the Ultra Space threat earlier this year.

GIFT DESCRIPTION: Thin square present. Wrapped up neatly and with plenty of ribbons. Obviously wrapped by a profession, aka not Fernando, and laced with pretty ribbon. About the size of a paper notebook.

OOC RULES: No post order, post as much as you'd like. You must post twice, once for picking a gift, once for stealing. Your first post in this thread should be picking a gift. Katherine forces herself to rise from her seat and take her turn shortly after Bailey Cooper, not wanting to be called out specifically. Upon reaching the tree, it’s the sight of what appeared to be a roughly-wrapped bottle that steals her attention. Or, rather, it’s the first thing she casts her eyes on and that’s enough of a reason to claim it.

Besides, it was the least likely gift to be stolen, wasn’t it?

She buries herself into her phone upon returning to her seat, placing the bottle somewhere nearby. Frankly, someone could easily reach for her gift and take it without her even noticing.

GIFT DESCRIPTION: A small box covered in a festive, pearly-white wrapping and shiny golden lines that decorate it. The ribbon attached to the box adorns the same, golden shade of the wrapping itself, and inside, a small bottle of perfume remains hidden.

without hesitating he'd take a gift. the gift itself belonged to Katherine Fairburne. had anyone chosen to take before unwrapping it, by all means. if no one chose to then mateo would continue on with unveiling the hidden present. upon opening it, he'd ask, "the hell's this?" mateo would toss the item in up and back into the palm of his hand.

"can i drink it?"

he'd proceed to sniff it, "smells good." he'd then accidentally spray himself in the eye,. "shit!" and thus proceeded to fall over.

Yui was joyfully swung her feet from the chair she was sitting in. She never really celebrated an event like this before so she was kind of excited. Of course she was only really excited for the gift part, these people were kind of rich so she was wondering what kind of fancy shamncy gift she would get from this. She looked over at fern and gave a soft smile, "You're gift is really pretty Mr silph. I'm sure whoever gets it will like it." By comparison she lifted up her own gift that was rather crudely packaged. The paper and materials were the same as his but Yui INSISTED she wrap it herself as a matter of pride to prove she could do it, but she was blind to how bad the actual wrapping was. She however locked eyes onto mateo martinez 's mightyena plushie.

[break][break] It was so poorly wrapped that yui could tell from the outline it was some kind of pokemon's shape but what it exactly was, remained a mystery. She ran over to it and grabbed it when it was her turn "Mine!" she shouted as she bolted over to it. She opened it, tearing the paper to shreds and saw it was a mightyena plushie. She hugged it and proclaimed "I love it!" pretending it was an actual mightyena.

Bursting into the room with a swagger that rivals santa’s, Kim saucily saunters on over to the gift table and grabs a random gift, tossing his own into the ballot.

He’s soon to turn his attention to FERNANDO SILPH , pointing directly at the man as to shine a spotlight on the ghost with the most.

“You raggedy bitch.”

He says calmly and nonchalant before moving over to lay claim to whatever goodies he could gobble up as he waits on the sidelines.

Footing the bill for the majority of their hotpot was not on Kim’s to do list, but it was the only course of action he could take when someone dine and dashed before the event reached its end.

GIFT LEFT: A long small box professionally wrapped with corny holiday “Bob’s your Uncle” wrapping paper. The ribbon around the box is a crushed red velvet with a crochet lace, only wrapped around the center of the box. Makes a little jingle when it’s picked up.

It takes Stormy a very, very long time to choose a gift from the pile. Not even the time she'd been given waiting for her number to be called helped her make her decision. Should she choose one of the ones that were tall, or wide? Or the misshapen one wrapped in newspapers and aluminum foil, with shoe-laces for the decorative flair?[break][break]

When her time comes, she is startled into action. She really does end up taking the scuffed present, and it crinkles as she grabs it. It very nearly almost comes undone, and it is only due to her good reflexes and quick-thinking that she doesn't accidentally crush it.[break][break]

It is neither heavy nor light, and it looks as though it is a reused, smushed box that someone ordered online. Whatever is inside rattles.[break][break]

Holidays weren't something that were celebrated in the Pryde family. It wasn't something that was ever explained to them outside just 'we just don't' so this was his first time playing such a game. It all seemed simple enough, though what to even go for? He watches in some amusement as Yui Fujin Silph already opens up a lazily wrapped, though he wonders if she understands that it could technically get stolen. Though he wonders what adult here would still from a child.

Looking at the pile Razz opts to go for Stormy Silph 's as it was still up under the tree. Razz had made sure to put one under as well. One wrapped in newspaper as he didn't feel like buying giftwrap since this would be the only gift he was giving. The wrapping itself looking like it was followed after watching a tutorial. A bit heavy for it's size.

"So do we open these now or after the stealing?"

kyle already had something in mind the moment he got the invitation for this occasion. no one has attention on the gift he has on the pile, besides him at least when his turn comes.

he takes a large rectangular box right underneath the pile of gift boxes. it was heavy and hefty, but easily manageable in his arms. he returns to his seat right beside mateo martinez and opens up his gift right there and then.

"oi," he calls him out as he rips open the wrapper of the elongated box before him. "what did you do this time?"

he already knew that this was going to his elite four chamber if no one else gets petty enough to take it away from him.

And so here he was again. This time, he’d managed to get a present wrapped in what looked to be deep maroon-colored wrapping paper that had a simple design of what appeared to be Torchic feathers and it was under the tree.

He’d showed up not too long after Razz Kingsman and was wondering what the hell this was supposed to be. ‘White Elephant’, was it?

Squinting very suspiciously at the Councilman for the fiasco that had happened when they were invited over for ‘hotpot’, he wondered if the man was up to no good again.

Shame that evan fader wasn’t around to witness this insanity, because he’d gone off somewhere again and he didn’t even leave word as to where. However, Lars knew that the other man would return, eventually.

Eyeing the other presents, he saw that there was one with Spheal-themed paper and proceeded to go for that one. He knew he was going to shoot himself in the foot for it but he would ask questions later.

His gift is a self-stirring USB-operated coffee mug that basically has the words “I don’t work here!” stamped on it.

The young woman still gleefully hugged onto her Mightyena plushie, while watching as everyone else opened their presents. She was mostly uninterested until Bailey Cooper opened her present. She kept looking between the Mightyena plushie doll and the plaque that says FERNANDO SILPH 's favorite employee. Her face immediately showed torn and anguish emotions mixing around inside of her, what was she to pick? The Mightyena doll was extremely cute but being able to flaunt that present to all her siblings and co workers would be something she'd really enjoy since she was the self proclaimed Fern's favorite out of the Silph bunch.
