natalie echoes the statement, focusing her attention. she wasn't an anthropologist herself, nor did she really know any personally, but the subject has already interested her— and her study in finding the origin of life, of course.

"have you found anything interesting? new pokemon, by chance?"

natalies hands fold at her abdomen as she does her best to look polite. she really was interested— honest.

"i've been looking extensively into lugia. itching to get my hands on anything that can provide me answers to their origins."

she thinks back to Cillian Quinn 's tests and nearly chuckles to herself. being on the edge of the truth was truly exciting.

Eva listens with an intensity, inching closer with curiosity as the holograms appear before them. She watches the waves, studying them. The physics itself goes over her head but like any good scientist she can recognize patterns. Miles may be able to see the child-like fascination and excitement in her eyes as he continues. She consumes his knowledge with a ravenous hunger. It sounds almost too good to be true. She nods along, agreeing with his assessment of homelessness and reconstruction.

“Wow, Mr. Sharp, this is some really incredible stuff! You should be so proud of the work you all are doing,” she sips her coffee and flashes him a bright smile, “Life changing, really,” the prospect of making the lives of Hoennians better in such a tangible, sustainable, and efficient way excites her. It speaks to her core values and fills a void her knowledge does not reach, “It sounds like this energy has limited, if any, environmental impact, yes? Incredible,” during his spiel it sounded as far more sustainable than traditional energies. She shakes her head in disbelief, “I’m very impressed. I will be following this very closely from now on,” she reaches into the pocket of her white coat and extracts a business card, placing it on the table for Miles to do with what he will, “I’m no physicist but, if there’s any way I can help, I’m happy to support such world-changing technology,” Honestly, though, there’s probably not much she could do.

Miles turns hi interest back to her. She smile, setting down the coffee to show off her latest project, “Well, I’m pretty terrible with technology so I’m still looking for aid but,” she steps aside, letting the Porygon2 take center stage, “This is F.E.M.A. It stand for Field Emergency Medical Assistant,” The Porygon2 chirps happily at the sound of her name, spinning around to give him a good view. She resembles the average Porygon 2 with a few modifications. F.E.M.A. is equipped with a small tablet integrated into its chest along with a few a satchel containing monitoring probes that connect wirelessly with the A.I., “She still has some kinks to work out but, she’s basically a medical emergency A.I.” Eva taps the screen, bringing up a variety of settings, “The basic goal is to, well, save lives,” she smiles, opening the satchel to remove a few pieces of equipment. She places a cuff around her arm along with a few sticky sensors onto her chest, “The A.I. is programmed to adapt and treat medical emergencies in the field along with monitoring vitals and intervening if necessary,” A hologram of Eva’s vitals appears: ECG monitoring her heart rate, a blood pressure, breathing pattern, etc., “My goal is to get pokemon like F.E.M.A here into the hands of, well, everyone I can! That way, medical attention and life saving measures can be implemented immediately while first responders still make their way to the scene,” Eva points towards the sensors on her chest surrounding her heart, “The sensors here are equipped with defibrator capabilities using Poryogn2’s THUNDER SHOCK attack, she’s able to LOCK-ON and TRACE the patient’s vitals to intervene when necessary and instruct bystanders on what may need to be done to save someone’s life,” She places a hand on the Porygon2, “Basically, putting advanced medical technology and knowledge into the hands of ordinary people. Anyone could save a life,” She couldn’t be everywhere at once, “Right now it’s designed to treat people and mammal pokemon, I still need to work on the A.I. for other types of pokemon whose physiology differs greatly from ours,” it is proving to be a difficult task.

an involuntary frown tugs at painted lips. she of course, expected there to be no news; the odds of actually finding a new species of pokemon was astronomically rare these days, after all. but, still, the small thread of excitement at the thought was just thin enough to keep her wanting.

natalie blinks at his question, head tilting as she taps her cheek with a forefinger.

"hm. very little, unfortunately. information about it, and its mysterious avatar elude me. it isn't the only creature i'm studying, so if you have insights into other legendaries, i'd be glad to listen."

After a series of questions and exchanging pleasantries, Eva shakes the scientist’s hand and moves on with the rest of the fair. She assumes priam conrad follows her. After a moment of silence, she sips her coffee, glancing over towards the young assistant, “What do you think of that Infinity Energy? Sounds almost too good to be true,” She’s no physicist, but is it really sustainable and practical? She hopes so.

They spent much more time at the booth with Miles Sharp then she anticipated. The Rotom Phone in her pocket buzzes back to life. A few frantic beeps remind her that the day is almost over. A reminder fueled by a previous conversation with FERNANDO SILPH flashes on the screen, ”Oh, almost forgot about that,“ she glances at the map of booths, “Fernando suggested we head over to the Devon Corp. booth before the end of the day,” After glancing around to get her bearings, she points towards another aisle where a very large display booth takes up a good chunk of it. That’s Devon Corp, alright. Eva goes to inspect.

HUMAN INGENUINITY PACKAGED INTO A SINGLE BUILDING

TIME KILLS ALL THINGS. Hype is just one of its many causalities. Fernando allows the Science Fair to come to a nice simmer before he throws in his own batch of spices. When several of his employees notify him that their stall is ready, he waves to dismiss both Razz Kingsman and Yui Fujin Silph.

“I’ll be manning the stalls now,” he announces. “Feel free to attend or wander about. Kingsman, I expect you to be present in an hour.”

To have his own personal security brings relief at such a densely populated event. However, one security proves more trustworthy than his personal ranger–his Pokemon.

The wish of the late DAPHNE STONE was for Devon Corp to take a stand against the Ultra Beast threat. ALEXANDER STONE’s death had changed their mission statement to prevent another Three Day War. Upon Silph Co.’s acquisition of their long time rival, Fernando fancied a good chuckle after finding out their Ultra Beast defense initiative couldn’t afford to actually field one.

Now, they have his own personal arsenal at hand. Several Poipole fly around freely within the Devon Corp stall. His Naganadel acts as the head, directing them in a hive minded pattern on occasion. The Poipole prove harmless, gleefully smiling at passersby, eerily content despite their infamy for corrupting Pokemon during the war.

The Devon Corp exhibit boasts two words proudly above in enlarged letters. The tag line that follows is the subsequent line to the figurative hook.

Purification and the ramifications of restoring afflicted Pokemon.

Silph Co.’s neighboring stall presents something much more humble. Television screens play repeated slideshows of Legendary Pokemon and their respective Avatars. Fernando takes a backseat to some of the bigger names in Hoenn. Those in the Aqua Initiative make up the bulk of the passive presentation.

A kiosk details more information but Fernando is more than happy to break conversation with the right people. Cordial smiles and a thorough explanation help placate those mystified with such headlines. It’s an easy way to build bridges.
