This contest is formatted like an Among Us-style death game, but it is canonically still just a game. Your characters will sign up for it with full understanding of the rules and circumstances, much like entering an escape room. This contest is not death-enabled, and any “killing” is purely theatrical. Please have fun and use your Cleverness to its full potential!



Each round, players will work together with their partner Pokemon while attempting to solve group tasks, progress, and ultimately escape the game location. Players may be routinely eliminated by a randomly chosen “killer” among their ranks. The surviving player with the most points by the end will win the Clever Ribbon.

Group Tasks can be completed by using any Pokémon move and rolling towards the total. When the given threshold is reached, the task will be completed and all players can progress to the next stage.

For each of their turns, players will choose a “Kill Number” from a given range (ex. 1-10.) This will determine whether the player’s partner Pokemon is in danger of being targeted by the killer at the end of the round.



The killer is randomly selected and their identity is kept secret. There may be more than one killer.

The killer’s rolls still contribute to group tasks, but the killer does not get points through conventional means. Instead, their goal is to maintain the appearance of being a normal player, while attempting to eliminate a target each round.

Before each round, the killer will choose a secret “Kill Number.” At the end of the round, the killer may choose any one player with a matching Kill Number to “kill” and eliminate from the contest.

A killer can also target and kill another killer.



While any move can be used to help with a Group Task, only CLEVER, CUTE and TOUGH moves will earn the user points. *See Bulbapedia for a full list!
The surviving player with the most points by the end of the game will win the Clever Ribbon.

Furthermore, upon entering each new “stage” you will be given limited opportunity to spend your points on buffs, items, protection, and even the rare chance to take down the killer yourself! Plan your investments wisely (one might say... cleverly) and prove once and for all who’s the real mastermind!



Signups will be open for one week and are open to an unlimited number of participants! Your Pokemon's movesets are not locked during the contest, but be aware you won't be allowed to use the same move twice in a row.

If you are selected to be the Killer, you will be contacted via Discord or PM to confirm. Please feel free to decline!
