These Pokemon, rumoured to be formed by 108 spirits and imprisoned in stone, are aggressive and vengeful forces. The League asks the public to stay away from these Pokemon until they have finished their midnight move— but that will not stop those in want of a ghost like this.[break][break]

Ah, the day is approaching - the day of the nightmare before Christmas - A spooky scary skeleton will roam to the street yet Kano finds herself roaming on the deserts looking for a particular swarm of a pokemon that has been announced. Aaron found himself drawn to the desert, with his Scizor, Trevenant, and Gengar out and at the ready. The time for his personal favorite holiday was soon arriving, and a Spiritomb would make a fine addition to his team. Between the movies like Halloween with Michael Myers or Friday the 13th with Jason, there was also other activities. He planned on dressing up like a weredoom (werewolf + Houndoom = weredoom). Doom Soldiers were another favorite of his. Slasher flicks were everywhere, and he could only really stand the originals. But alas, time to keep up with the here and now, and not his favorite holiday. Spiritomb as a Pokemon was rare, and powerful. Interestingly, it was also formed by spirts sealed to a stone. Ghost-types were one of his two specialties, and there was simply no way he'll miss this golden opportunity.

Gavin's never cared much for Halloween nor the month surrounding it. The month of his birth, a date he acknowledges only as another year older. He's flicking through channels on the television, past classic horror movies and the grinning visage of Freddy Krueger, when he lands upon the news.

A swarm, huh?

Not uncommon in Hoenn. What's strange is the Pokemon itself; a conglomerate of wailing spirits imprisoned within an odd keystone.

He finds himself in the desert with all the other would-be ghost hunters, a luxury ball tucked against the palm of his hand.

Rayne had recently been having strange dreams as of late, for some god awful reason, he'd find himself entrapped in a strange yet always desloated area alongside three others being chased around by Michael Myers of all things, where his objective was to survive and escape by fixing several generators scattered around the place.[break][break]

Yet the strangest thing of all was that whenever he found himself assailed by famous fictional serial killer Michael Myers, the usually silent and steadfast wall of a man, evil incarnate... would suddenly start dancing with his own accompanying theme song suddenly blaring in the background, and if Rayne didn't participate in a dance-off with the man, he'd promptly get stabbed and awaken from the dream in a cold sweat.[break][break]

Of course, Rayne really had no idea what any of these dreams meant, having woken up from one of these such terrors just simply taking a nap, only to see the headline pop up on his news feed. While someone crazy enough would maybe associate these odd dreams with the sudden incursion of Spiritombs, Rayne hadn't made such a connection, simply thinking to himself aloud; "oh, that's neat," and making a note to go visit Route 111's desert in hopes of making a friend.

Where there were ghosts in swarms, Violet wasn’t far. Well, most of the time she probably was. But she never knew about those swarms she wasn’t to, so she was a cliché. Much like Jason would always find the teens that recently screwed if they did so in his movie, she found swarms randomly if they were in her movie. Well, her life. But that sometimes was the same, of course.

For now though, she simply enjoyed the atmosphere and looks, while her own Spiritomb mingled with the others. Frankly, she had no idea as to whether it was socialising, trying to woo some kind of female/male, or just exchanging the gossip of the day. But she enjoyed watching them nonetheless, a bit to the side of the swarm, sitting on a rock. Naturally, she was not silly enough to get too close to the vengeance demons. But she did get as close as possible nonetheless. If things went haywire, she had her own Spiritomb to protect her, after all.

Word got out about spiritomb being spotted more often then normal around the desert. The ghost and dark type were not only a very rare creature, but they are his specialty. It seemed their restless spirit was terrorizing travelers. Maverick wasn’t going to have this. Although dark and ghost were known to be dangerous, the man wanted to tarnish the notion that they can not be handled.

With that, the man travel to the location and quickly fond the source of the problem. Warm crimson colored orbs flickered over the land, spotting several creatures before him. “Azula,” the man mumbled, taking note of several others who have already arrived, “be swift but careful.” The hell houndoom throw her head back in a loud boisterous howl, the mega stone around her neck glimmered in response. Soon, it consumed her and ignited her power of mega evolution.

In the corner of his eye, he spots the shiny. Wasting no time, Maverick pointed to it. “Fire Blast.” Azula’s mega elution transformation was completed in seconds, massive body shifted in the direction as the power consumer her. She roared with life, summon a massive amount of fire power within her parted muzzle and fired. The blast aimed for the shiny, but another spritiomb blasted her from the side. Her attention turned, fighting the onset of wild pokemon that suddenly wanted to fight her. Maverick ready the ball, tossing the ball only after the blast hit.

After he took care of this one, he would be sure to take quick action of the rest. But, will the blast be enough to take this one down?

of all of the twisted things hope has seen and done, his hunt for ghost type pokemon had always been the worst. he did whatever it took to acquire other ghost pokemon— so far his attempts were proving somewhat futile but that didn't stop him. as soon as he heard the news of this swarm, hope was quick to pack a bag and head out to the desert. the trip was fast but usually that's how his trips went when he was looking forward to them. this was his chance to try and catch one of the more interesting ghost pokemon and it was his prime opportunity.[break][break]

a ghost made out of a bunch of souls? that sounded like it might hold the soul of a scary godmother that he once had who passed away while living in hoenn before he was a twinkle in his pops' eye. that was pretty grim thought to have but having a family member watch over you while as a ghost pokemon was...kind of nice in a weird sense. even if that wasn't the case kazimir wasn't going to pass up the chance to try and catch one of these rare pokemon so when he delved into the desert he was quick to seek one out and throw some pokeballs into the swarm full of them to try and catch one of them. "scary godparent here i come!"

Did he really need to come all the way out here?

Was it really worth it, considering he already owned several of these creatures? Or was he simply trying to scratch that itch, compelled to answer to his baser impulses, just as a serial killer answers to theirs? Was he sick in the head?

Nah, they were all just living in a pokemon world. Adrian would eventually isolate one of these creatures—he wasn't sure how they migrated, being anchored to a keystone—and battled it with a Morgrem. When he felt it was weakened enough, he attempted capturing it. He'd only have one shot before the other malevolent spirits began to show up, so regardless of the success of failure of it, he'd vanish from sight shortly after being seen.

He’d left a text message as well as a note for @mattis on the fridge that read, ‘went to the Great Desert, come save me if I send the safe word’ because…

Even if this was a fucking ghost that reminded him of a certain clown from a certain horror book that was almost one thousand two hundred pages long, he… curiosity would definitely kill the cat if he didn’t check out what the hell was going on.

If not outright kill him from fright entirely.

He’d made the trip with the wheelchair (how…quaint) however the wheelchair was being manned by his Gardevoir, Tatiana, who was ready to Teleport them back to Fortree at a moment’s notice.

…why could he feel like Pennywise was watching him from wherever, even if there were no drainage canals in the Great Desert?

Ah, the desert. He had committed a war crime the last time he was here. Thankfully ~~sadly~~ there was no more megalopolans here. The spirtombs were an interesting sight, and even if he had one of his own, Andy still found them intriguing. Like most encounters, gengar used a hypnosis after a confirming nod from his trainer. He managed to keep his distance for the hoard of wayward spirit pokémon.

He'd gotten here later than most this time around and having missed the unown gathering weeks back he figured his luck to be at an all time low.

He wasn't going to snag one of these rare ghost-types but he could still protect the peace.

and considering he had a spare pokéball on his person, well maybe his luck could balance out.

Still, it was an unnerving sight to see them moving through the dark desert like malevolent night lights.

What in the Frankenstein’s monster was this?

The Ranger had come to answer reports of paranormal activity but this was far above his pay grade. There was ghosts and then there was this. The blonde sighed and scratched his nose in mild annoyance. Where were the Ghost Type Busters when you needed them?

“Well, guess I’m playing the role of the exorcist tonight” spoke the Ranger as he put on the flashlight of his HoloWatch. Maybe he could get one with the light and take it with a Pokeball. It wasn’t a vacuum cleaner but it works just as well, right?

Melody had gotten ab it to close to the spirittomb and suddenly had fallen asleep. In her dream she had wicked and disturbing nightmares involving her running away from a specific killer who had many pins in his head. He kept screaming about "you opened a box and I came." what the fuck does that even mean? What did the box have to do with his arrival..did he mean the other version of the word? Regardless melody in her dream threw a pokeball at the strange creature which had morphed into a spiritomb and she wanted to see if she could even capture a pokemon in her dream.
