On the other hand, she thought wryly as she piloted her Mantine across the water, I wouldn't be surprised if it cursed me. I caught its brethren! Who knows if that might being bad luck, instead of good? Yikes!

By no means had he been a professional—or even skilled enough to be hobbyist—Mantine Surfer in downtime nor youth, and when he’d achieved enough clarity to remember as such, he did know that the few tricks and the like he’d managed to pull off were still things to acknowledge and take pride in.[break][break]
