at one point, he thinks of just getting his phione to do the work for him since it does blend well underwater with its colors and all so no one can be wiser.

he gets his phione out to retrieve the first shiny thing it sees. while the phione is small, every other trash under there was small as well, so it shouldn't be too bad for the pokemon.
