Temp did not mean, at all, to be caught in some weird Distortion. He was, luckily, pretty well at the edge of it. Sitting down and just waiting on Cillian Quinn to return with the mango smoothie he was so dutifully promised.

His little Phione rested in his lap, napping. Temp hummed and kept a hand on his pokeballs; while he was maybe safe over here, one couldn't be too careful!

In the end, they were both just fine. Yet, the Phione did not leave unchanged.

Despite having been to these things called distortion many times, there was something that still sent chills down his spine every time he entered one. Warm crimson colored orbs flickered over the crackling dome, wondering how many more will appear. An unsettling scream roared its head further into the dome, making his beloved hellhound emitted an uneasy growl. Her nostrils flared, lips lifted to reveal her pearly whites in distaste.

Hand extended out to gingerly pat the canine, attempting to confront her. It didn’t work. Long arrowed tipped tail twitched like an anger cat. “Easy girl,” he mumbled to her, letting out a long sigh, “We are just exploring today. Hopefully, we don’t run into trouble this time around.” Azula let out a snort, following behind her master as he pushed forward.

A glint caught his eye, plucking the shard off the ground and shoving it in his pocket. He has so many of these now and had no idea what to do with them. Maverick didn’t even know where they came from or who keep dropping them at this point. Either way, he wasn’t going to pass it up. It could make this dangerous trip more worth it in the end. Who knows?

He'd searched for months for the elusive Blue Shard, diving each and every day into the waters around Slateport City. Tales were told that shards had been discovered in these distortions, perhaps able to provide salvation and end his longing search. That or he was going to beat someone over the head and steal theirs. Look, things had gotten desperate. [break][break]

"Gotcha!" Rowan dove into the grass, snagging one of the Blue Shards for himself. It was beautiful, a hunk of something unlike he'd ever seen before. "You're going to make a beautiful suit one day." He smirked, stashing the piece away in a pocket and looking for a speedy exit.

This is not the distortion where he had met the strange Zorua that had since been staying at his home, it’s not even anywhere near Meteor Falls. Yet, with pokémon appearing out of thin air in these time and again, Tam wonders if maybe he can use it to return the little vulpine pokémon to where it came from.

He had come here with that sole purpose when informed of the distortion through the ranger channels.

Does he realise that he has no idea where the Zorua would go? Yes. Does that concern him? A little, but the fact of the matter is that the little fox does not belong in this world, and that unlike his Ursaluna, it’s not adapting well at all.

He still follows closely after it when stepping into the distortion, though. Taking a drag from his cigarette, Tam watches the Zorua rush forward as if knowing exactly where to go, but while he expects it to disappear, what happens is something much different.
[break][break]
Another similar pokémon approaches from among Fortree’s foliage, as if familiar with the Zorua. ’A Zoroark’ Tam realises. Also one that looks different from most Zoroark. Do the pokémon know each other? Is it just a matter of running into another of their species?

Whatever the answers to these questions may be, Tam sighs, because the Zoroark seems calm, and soon enough, the Zorua leads it right back to where the ranger captain stands. That’s that. A decision made without him even having to make it himself.

”Fine, I guess.”

You know, while watching the positively enormous Basculin swim at a river that is barely deep enough for it to do so peacefully, it occurs to Lia that she never told Marshall Slade what his dare would be. She had been too preoccupied with being pulled into the water by this exact fish, and then also by Marshall deciding to give being a lifeguard a try and jump in to save her.

Okay, so, like… to be completely honest here, Ceri doesn’t have the time or the money to keep a whole bunch of pokémon, and while the way Space-Time Distortions transformations are a really cool phenomenon to study, they’re far from her field of expertise and she doesn’t like most of them nearly enough to add them to her team.

Its been awhile since the last of these has shown up, and as usual Pryde was going to try his best to survive and thrive. ALl in the name of something new as pokemon with different forms of seemingly different time periods come to life. With his new ghost by his side in the form of the Typholson Pryde is on the hunt for something new. [break][break]

In it an Electrode with wooden traids rather than its usual metalic catches his eye as the man gives the whistle to have her start off with an FLAMETHROWER. Giving the texture of the new beast it was safe to assume it's type has changed. "Keep going," Pryde orders with a snap of his organic hand as the ghost keeps going to try and burn the elctrode more until the pokeball like pokemon couldn't fight back anymore. [break][break]

Pryde attemption to capture it with a pokeball, and while he aims to retreave the ball notices another shard within the ground as the distortion begins to weaken.

Mint doesn't hesitate to enter the distortion this time, rushing in despite the terrible weather, aggressive pokemon, and unfamiliar terrain. Really, he's just here to be a bit of a dick to his pokemon. He let's out a Growlithe, the sweet red and black pup looking up and around confused before morphing and shaking as the distortion messed with its body chemistry. Mint listened to the thunder claps, trying to ignore how bad he felt while Cacio kept watch.

Eventually, the process is over, and the poor pup is feeling a little better. Still woozy on its feet, Mint puts it back into its pokeball before nodding over at Cacio to lead them back out.
