“I suppose all toppled over like that it looks more like the judges than a snowboy,” she said, doing the double-L frame with her fingers at the Darmanitans and squinting through it, “but I dunno how that’d fare in the competition. Want some help?”

Her gaze looked over to the other two individuals that had approached Callan Young as well. She was familiar with Eva Morales's work in the science world, though she had never met the woman. The other man, ollie morales, she didn't recall ever seeing before.

Nevertheless, she offered them a smile and a wave, her mittens covered in powdery snow.

"A pleasure. I'm Summer. Nice to meet you both," she said, her THIEVUL popping up from the snow. Her red fur was covered in white.

"This is Loki. She's a mess. She enjoys digging in the snow, even though her bow is missing," Summer said pointedly, giving her Pokemon a look. Though the fox didn't seem to mind, going back to digging and rolling.

A light laugh escaped her lips, reaching out to pat Callan on the arm. "Oh, but you have to enjoy the festivities while they last. It only happens once a year, after all." She packed more snow on her snowboy, humming.

"Though a nice, warm cider sounds delightful..."

Tango watches in awe as Salem makes the middle piece seeming to sing some sort of Christmas song i nothing but meows making it so Razz had no clue which song it was. It wasn't like he celebrated it either before or after his defection from rocket. How his pokemon got so in the mood for it is something he'll blame TV for. [break][break]

adelina doesn't check to see if the snowball made their mark before they're glancing back at marilee beaufort, grinning so hard it almost hurts. part of them has the mind to pick up another snowball, but it's mari's question that gives them pause before they move to. they hesitate, just for a moment, trying to think of just how to word their reply.

"sort of? i don't know. it does, for the most part, but..." they shrug, then, to punctuate their words without having to actually say that, for the most part, their time in sinnoh winters meant they were bedridden. that they know, sooner or later, they will be again before the season ends- it seems like, for several different reasons, they've always been more sickly during the colder months.

and then the stranger (mint frost) comes over, clearly struggling with his pokemon- but he's not really a stranger, is he? even with the fact that he looks different, sounds different than what adelina remembered, there was no way he could be anyone else. even if it meant he had just let them all think he was dead for years.

adelina had thought, once, that if they got angry enough that they'd lash out. that they'd yell, or cry, or something. but this is different- it feels like someone's replaced their blood with ice, it feels like they've passed anger with that realization into something calmer.

before they can react, or even think to, mari is chasing after michaelis, grabbing his shoulder, and that's when adelina wills themself into action, following after her, head a flurry of thoughts. "mari," they begin, voice steadier than they were expecting it to be. colder than they were expecting it to be. "i think we should just go." please, she adds, mentally, as she catches up to them.

Eva huffed, glaring over at Ollie’s Snowboy. She can’t believe that he finished before her! Her attention then turns back to her own. It’s only missing a top so there is still hope she can finish it in time before the judges show up!

“Ok, time to get serious! Let’s make a little extra snow, ok?” she encourages the Glaceon to stir up a little BLIZARD to keep the snow fresh as she tries to form a top from the powdery snow.

Eva glances up as Callan Young and Summer Atreides approach. She smiles warmly in greeting, “Nice to see you again, Callan!” it’s been a while since she chatted with the Elite Four member, “Nice to meet you too, Summer!” she glances beind them, “Did you already finish your Snowboys too?” was she the only one lagging behind?

the whole event was unusual, but there was something strangely relaxing about patting together white snow until it formed a hard sphere. it was the methodical act that he found comforting, he realized.

[break][break] the snowboy was staring to make form, now that it had a top and bottom piece. yet, it still looked a bit mis-formed that it was missing it's middle piece.

Pure white snow, scattered as far as the eye could see. Safe to say, it was quite the pretty sight to Makoto - who rode in on Yurei's back. The Stantler in question was already dressed for the season - a red 'vest' that doubled as a saddle blanket, velvety with white fluffy edging, and little jinglebells at the corners. "You're starting to really look the part, of Santa's Stantler." Makoto mused gently - stroking a hand along their neck.

Everyone present appeared to be hard at work making snowboys, though - rolling up snow to form the body, and decorating each one as they please. And well... With all of the festivities, Makoto couldn't help but find themself keen on joining in. "Come on out, Kama. You too, Kuro."

Tossing a pokeball, Makoto would let out the little Sneasel - who chittered curiously and contentedly, at his snowy surroundings. And from their shadow, a little pale-white head peeked - Kuro shyly regarding the goings-ons.

Seeing the two's reactions, Makoto couldn't help but chuckle gently - kneeling down to gather up some snow. "Let's see if we can't make a snowboy, too -" They'd suggest to the duo, gesturing them over. "Doesn't that sound like fun?"

Kama certainly thought so - and chittering excitedly, he'd approach to join Makoto in scooping together some snow; forming it into a snowball, as a starter for the snowboy as a whole.

Kuro was a bit more reluctant at the idea of coming out into the open... Though, a little fox-shaped shadow would still slide over to where Kama's shadow was, a face sometimes poking out to watch Sneasel and trainer alike, hard at work.

Eva frowns as she continues to attempt to shape the white snow into a top for her snowboy so she can start decorating it with the cute pieces they had found. A quick glance around confirms her suspicion that ollie morales is lying. The judges are nowhere to be found.

Eva would love nothing more than for Ollie to jingle all the way back over to the other side of the field so she could finish her perfect snowboy in peace. She lifts her nose as she continues to pack snow together, “Perfection takes time. I’m not half-assing mine like some people,” she gives Ollie’s an obvious glance. All in good fun, of course.

Venus has almost completed the section she’s working on though the snowball looks more like an 16-bit version than anything else from the voracity of her pats and the inability to curve her hand.

Ash says something about doing this again next year and Kepler blinks, as though astounded by the concept of the passage of time. “Y-yeah?” Because it’s amazing to him that they might still be doing this next year. What a world they lived in.

“Well… there might not even be snow next year. I’d say that something like Kyurem popping in through a universal paradox hernia is a one in a million event but Hoenn likes to destroy practical statistics. So we could be dreaming of a white Christmas, I guess.”
