MOSSDEEP GYM's offices have been relocated to their original installations near the city center to facilitate the Gym Leader's movement from his day job to his night job.

Gym Leader Gwyar Wledig , an old hand from the Galar Major Circuit's silver age, has accepted the League's generous job offer after an enduring time in Sootopolis City Police Department.[break][break]
Choosing to represent Steel-type pokemon, he's been tasked with revitalizing the trainer scene in Mossdeep, assisting with the league's re-structuring of the local police force, and offloading the mounting pressure of challengers from other gym leaders.

And of course, ensuring the safety and security of all citizens in Mossdeep from those dastardly rockets as a member of the Mossdeep City Police Department.[break][break]

The gym leader has donated his own funds and commissioned local engineers to renovate a long disused stadium into a public battlefield for both community and Gym use. The stadium is open for community use at all times sans the schedules described below.

Gym Challengers are attended to on Mondays and Thursdays, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.[break][break]
Self-defense seminars for civilians are held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., instructed by the Gym leader himself and assisted by members of the local police department.[break][break]
Pokemon Training Group Sessions led by the gym leader are held on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m, and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

All seminars and sessions are free of charge and open to the public.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

Utilization of Pokémon for self-defense and de-escalation in real life situations.

Gym Leader Gwyar Wledig encourages not just trainers but any and all who wish to learn self-defense from him to attend his seminars on Tuesdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays. He also invites any and all who wish to strengthen their pokemon to join the Mossdeep community in Group Training sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays.

With that said, Mossdeep Gym Battles proper are not learning experiences but traditional testing grounds for one's combat competency.

FORMAT: TRADITIONAL

THIS GYM DOES NOT CURRENTLY FEATURE VARIETY in its formats. In other words, there is only a traditional option, 1v1. The battle will end once one of the pokemon has been K.O'd, or once the Gym leader has judged he's seen enough. [break][break]

Both standard as well as a number of rules particular to Gym Leader Gwyar Wledig apply:[break][break]

• 
  The following moves are banned from use: destiny bond and perish song. This is standard for most if not all gyms, even for traditional formats.
• If the Gym Leader deems the challenger's attitude as unbefitting of a champion candidate, the challenger will fail.
• If the Gym Leader deems the challenger's treatment of their pokemon as abusive, the challenger will fail, as well as be subject to investigation into trainer malpractice.
• If the Gym Leader deems the challenger has no practical need for the badge (ex: already meets all conditions for challenging the Elite 4; is a member of the elite 4), he reserves the right reject the challenge altogether.

OOC: EBC has set for himself One badge awarded per month minimum as goal. With that in mind, if the thread is waiting for a post from the gym challenger for a week, it'll be archived. Special exceptions will be made for those busy irl.
