As the dimension shifts again, the man and his firebird end up the wasted city of Mossdeep. While he hadn't been involved in this assault, the man recalled what he had heard of this tragedy. Of how chaotic everything was. The destruction, the deaths... Anyone that hadn't seen something similar would've been feeling extremely bad.[break][break]

But Balder decided to ignore all of this madness. To focus on searching for an answer and find anything useful while they could move. Thus, the man proceeded to wish for two of his pokemons that held good noses, to possibly assist him in fighting anything useful. Thus, just like with the Talonflame, the two creatures materialized through a whirl of electricity and stones.[break][break]

Quickly, the team began to move, heading towards Mossdeep Space Center. The man looted rapidly on his way there, his pokemons trying to get a hold of any smells that could assist their search. Once in the Space Center, the man began to look around, trying to loot even more.

His body punched through the water like a bullet through paper.

If Lugia didn't await him below the surface nor his mortal end and judgement, all that was left was to get his bearing and make it back to the surface. Getting his body back upright when his head burst through the surface of the water he quickly realized he was suddenly back on land far from the location he'd just been in.

A black creature taller than most buildings with many mouths all gorging on everything in reach, seemed to be the focus of everyone in this moment. Reaching for some sense understanding in what the hell was happening to him. The gambler scrambled a bit a ways from the trauma and active hazards.

Searching through the remains of a trampled shop Sénon order Murkrow to do the same. Their aim was to find something small and of value, or at least of significance to pocket. When the space came for him again he would check if the 'time token' was still on his person or not.

Hearing a piercing scream for help, Sénon pocketed the first thing he could find and dashed from the building in the direction of the scream, leaving Murkrow to keep searching without him.

Finding someone trapped under rubble he felt the heat of ticking timer getting him hot under the collar. Whoever this person was they were probably already dead.

He was trying to save a ghost most likely, yet knowing as much didn't do anything change his efforts. By the time he got to them, his Salamence helping to speed up the process, there was a terrible fear in his heart that his choice to 'loot first, help after' wouldn't leave him enough time save this one life.

"Give me your hand!" He reached out, and they could see him. They took his hand and Hiei held up the debris pinning them down.

He pulled them free from the debris and they ran off. Before he could return to his feet time carried him away again.

His wish falls on deaf ears.

Evan closes his eyes, blocking out the feeling of the fall, the would-be resistance of Laurence's wings as they manifest. Somehow the fall never quite seems to end until they hit the ground but it's not the one at the bottom of the ocean they were headed for. Evan tries to find his balance on Laurence's shoulder. He holds on tight and breaths deep before he opens his eyes.

He'd heard word of the strikings of these false gods on the lips of his regulars, seeing them in person made them real in a way his mind never could.

The shiver in his spine is alarming, his eyes turn to the other two. The impervious joker is alarmed in an unusual manner. Even Lars has yet to know how the affairs of the gods effect him, influence him, plague him. His jaw tenses under the eyes of skyler dross, his eyes focus on Laurence Anderson' movements and he finds himself again between the pair.

Evan does not find himself speaking, only moving. Actions distract him, calm his mind and silence the worries. A mimikyu, a musharna, the vaporeon and his corviknight find their way to the field.

Though he finds no solace in this awkward fitting nightmare, he will find it aiding the wounded and moving the fleeing.

Razz is feeling very disoriented with the continuous change of scenery. First he was falling, then flying on his Decidueye. Now suddenly a forest that he couldn't recognize? Though it seems it was yet another dangerous situation as a giant bamboo monster in a dress towered over the trees and was on the attack. At first Razz really didn't feel like joining in, even as the world once again glitches around him and everything feels real. No he wasn't falling for this trick again. If this was a dream then none of this should matter. [break][break]

Well that's what he told himself but his mind says otherwise as he notices a group of pokemon in danger and suddenly Whis the Zeraora was there with PROTECT in order to defend them. Standing in front of the hurt pokemon Wyn is suddenly there as well with a LIFE DEW in order to heal them. "Run" he orders as the crystal on his belt beginds to glow, if it worked on one Ultra Beast it should work on another. [break][break]

With the movement complete both trainer and pokemon glow with a blue arua as their movement synchronizes as they used GIGAVOLT HAVOC on the bamboo looking pokemon.

Those who help others flee Mossdeep's forest would find themselves granted with a gift, whether it is a bookmark or some memorabilia as thanks. Suddenly, time begins to shift once more. This time, solid ground is replaced by briny sea. As your legs immediately begin to tread water, those who attempt to check whether they still have the items from Mossdeep or not would realize that yes, they still do. Slateport can be seen in the distance. A large gathering of surfers and partiers cheer on participants of the MANTINE SURFING CONTEST.[break][break][break]

An announcer's voice rings out from the beach, tabulating the scores of the Mantine surfers. However, something else catches your attention. No human seems to see you or notice you. As you wade in the seas, your physicality seems to affect the waters; however, like a polteageist, you seem to be able to affect the things around you. From the water, a school of Mantine come to greet you. Bailey Cooper could scarcely breathe. All energy seemed absent from her body, had her marks not glowed so vibrant. Eyes stained red, she wondered if the water dribbled black from the running of her mascara.[break][break]

Emerging from Mossdeep, her body broke the surface of the water only because she was buoyant; senses greeted by bright, summery tunes that failed to contrast the sheer depth of loss that she had just re-experienced.[break][break]

With his grip wrapped around a twisted bit of metal he'd used to mark the Mossdeep building, Gavin is suddenly treading water. Fear catches him in its icy grip, breath caught in his lungs. Was he going to drown? Logic wars against his existential fear of the deep. What sort of hell awaited him next?[break][break]

Belatedly, Gavin realises he is not alone in the ocean. Figures surf, dive, and flip past him on their Mantine mounts, oblivious to his presence. A voice booms out across the ocean's shore, commentating on the sport.[break][break]

Gavin's fumbling for a pokeball he's not sure exists when a riderless Mantine approaches.[break][break]

It can see me. Though the circumstances were strange, Gavin eagerly scrambles aboard the back of the beckoning manta ray. Anything was better than being adrift in the water with no clear picture of what was going on. The previous snapshots of history had all thrown him into danger, and he suspects that something here will go horribly wrong. He'd heard tale of the Kyogre in Lilycove, destructive guardian of the deep, and his stomach twists at the thought of what monster lurked below the surface of these waters.[break][break]

Mantine begins to move without his direction. There is a hole in the sky up ahead, an escape from the twisting terrors of time — Gavin experiences momentary relief before he realises that the Mantine is heading straight for a curling wave.[break][break]

"Wait, what are you—?"[break][break]

He breaks off with a yelp and clings to the Pokemon's back as it launches itself, spinning, into the air. Gavin's lack of cooperation with the dual-type's attempts see it falter at the peak of its would-be execution of a Magikarp Splash, and they plummet back toward the sea. Gavin squeezes his eyes shut and holds his breath as they sink several feet below the waves. His heart hammers in his chest. This was it. "mooooooooon doggy!" he didn't know why after going what felt like literal hell he was no on teh back of a mantine racing towards a rip in the fabric of reality. it didn't really matter, this was just a fresh of breath air! of course it would be better if he actually knew how to surf but so far he was doing pretty well. that was until the mantine decided to go up a wave and launch itself into the air with kaz holding on for dear life as he saw the world around him twist and turn. "solid ground solid ground SOLID GROUND PLEASE!"

instead of solid ground he felt the splash of sea water once again as the mantine landed and cotinuned swimming. this time kazimir managed to get back onto his feet as he tried to steady himself. "ok...hard parts over....just smooth sailing from here on out ok?" he tapped his foot against the back of the mantine signaling it to speed up as he tried to steer it clear of any large waves. no need for an encore from him.

Adrian slips through some sort of timey-wimey space jargon at some point, though he was slow to come to terms with it, sooner believing it was just a bad acid trip. But the sensations were real.

A Mantine came up to him, as if it knew he needed its help to get somewhere, because shortly thereafter a rift opened overhead. It was too high to simply reach for, although as he watched the contestants of this flashback into Hoenn's history, it seemed that Mantine could ride the waves high enough to avail them. It seemed simple in theory...

Not that he'd ever tried before in his life, but the Mantine seemed determined, so he went along with it. "Alright, buddy. Don't get me killed."

Little did he know it was taking him for a joy ride he'd no control over, a playful creature that knew little of the danger Adrian had found himself in.

He felt butterflies in his stomach as they took flight off a particularly rad wave, which he wasn't entirely opposed to until the wretched beast began to roll over with a flip... Get me off this fuckin' thing-

Mantine did just that as he was practically tossed in the air with its backflip. He'd spoken too soon.

He'd went from saying a life to fleeing for his own.

On the back of a Mantine he rode the waves watching a massive wave in the distance where those before him seemed to be hitting tricks to impress the crowd and if not that, augment their speed and handling as they rode a water-type through the air.

He wasn't sure how he knew but he was able to emulate the elaborate moves as his peers ahead of him. Given the lot of them had tried to do the most difficult of moves and fell short... "Won't be doing that." He went for a more practical approach doing three full vertical rotations followed by six horizontal spins and another three vertical spins . An inversion of the 'The Double Starmie' when he tried to the do the 'Over-the-Gyarados' he nearly fell off the Mantine.

Once his ass was firmly planted safely, he didn't move it again riding our the momentum until he crossed into the rift again.

Katherine happened to know little about surfing, and even less about it when it involved Mantines.

And it showed in her pitiful attempts, and the desperate way her hands clung to the water-type, as if expecting that alone to carry her through it and for the pokemon to perform the trick all by itself - without her help or even an instruction.

And so, naturally, they fail and she falls flat into the water. The Mantine watches her with a puzzled look.

If it could speak, it’d probably voice its surprise in how bad the gym leader was at this. Who knows though, maybe there’s a loser bracket they can compete in.
