With the arrival of other unexpected allies of Serena and , Katherine seems to recognize that there’s only so little time for her to spare. With each pulse of the PRIMAL SHARD, she’s reminded that time is not on her side.

“Remember that I gave you an option, Gavin.”

“Make sure to tell that to everyone in Rocket when you recover the body... That is, if you'll manage to find it.”

Her mind was made up.

will die, and if Gavin was a man of his word, then so will .

Regardless of whether if others would agree with her methods, Katherine was less keen on having the League deal with prisoners in Rocket’s hands. She knew that it was a slippery slope and it wouldn’t be long before people pointed accusing fingers at .

“We are leaving, Giratina.”

And unlike the enemy, Rocket, Katherine had only one rule to follow - she will hold no prisoners.

The Renegade god releases a deafening roar, its domain trembling in tandem. Gravity appears to be unstable within the projected, distorted world as Giratina moves. It turns downwards with Serena still held captive in its maw, red eyes locking with the woman’s devoted Liepard.

“I don’t lose,” she whispers to Serena, finally addressing her captive. The radio device is tossed away just as Giratina begins to soar down; seemingly intent on colliding with the ground where the woman’s Pokemon stood.

“I am just sacrificing a pawn.” After all, every successful gambit called for a sacrifice.

One.

Two.

Three.


Katherine doesn’t tell her captive to brace for impact; for she does not experience it. Giratina’s SHADOW FORCE allows it to open a gate to hell itself; the true distorted realm of the Deity. Her pokemon are recalled in the process, as they dive down towards the ground.

The Liepard finds itself stuck between a rock and a hard place. A gate to an unknown realm and an approaching God. Whether if it makes up its mind or not matters little - for Giratina had made its own. With its golden crown, the Renegade God intends to mercilessly impale the pokemon. None will stand in its way.

Not the God of Death.

Not Underboss Gavin.

And certainly not .

Giratina and Katherine vanish, leaving only the mangled corpse of Serena’s Liepard behind. The trainer herself, however, remains in the deity’s mouth until their arrival at the distorted realm. There, and only there, is she released.

An overwhelming sense of vertigo would soon settle upon Serena’s mind, just in time for Giratina to banish her with another one of its roars. It opens a portal that she’s ejected into, freeing her of her captivity somewhere in Hoenn.

“Rocket was willing to let you die,” The Malevolent says quietly, almost in a hushed whisper. Serena would likely hear these words moments before she’s taken by the portal. “Remember that.”

It was a once-in-a-lifetime lesson.

- Final dialogue between Gavin & Katherine.
- Giratina soars down towards the ground, opening a portal through its SHADOW FORCE. On its way out, Giratina impales Liepard with its crown.

final note: Also recalls her pokemon on her way out, tosses the radio device, and the primal shard is likely disposed of / thrown in the direction of the cave if that's possible. I didn't address it in my post since I went above the word count already, hopefully, that's fine!

As brine and salt splashed the trio during their ascent up the reverse spiralling cascade, Izzy had pushed herself to worry about the current situation rather than the thoughts plaguing her mind after her revelation. Whilst safety was important, what on earth would happen to her new home? Was that strange phenomenon that splintered the city and defied physics going to cause lasting damage? She'd furrowed her brows, half a mind to stay back and research more, but it was far too dangerous to stay within in the confines of the city—even if she was in the middle of a daredevil escape up a rising maelstrom.[break][break]

In the middle of her thoughts, they'd eventually reached the top, right behind a massive blue shape of legends. Isolde had felt herself speechless in awe and horror, watching as Kyogre fled the city. She'd had half a mind to follow behind despite Violet's suggestions, though ultimately she couldn't shake her worries about the city itself, simply leaving with a shout; "Good luck, and thank you!"[break][break]

She'd turned to , "So, what's your plan? I don't think I want to stray too far from the city, as stupid as that may sound, but..." she'd trailed off, Isolde hadn't been too sure on what to do though if left unimpeded, she'd likely have stayed around the outer crater hoping to record and observe the strange phenomenons—confirm what they are and if they'd stay or eventually dissipate—from safety. Hopefully reclaim her home afterwards and look for the trainers that lost the pokémon in her care, but if things stayed dangerous she'd likely have fled to Mossdeep or Lilycove.

Silence is the option Kim took, eyeing Killian with a placid expression, content in his patience as more and more cracks began to show- spouts of water seeping into the floor Kim stood upon.

Eventually, Kim’s patience plays out, the man stepping through his hoop and the oddness of their situation eventually righting itself.

And then Kyle says some and does some shit, the spire quaking as he does.

“ , holy shit. I love you but holy shit.”

The shard, ever quaking in his hold, is dropped to the floor- Kim quickly closing the previous hoop and opening another to the outside of the spire where he had previously been.

And as he arrives, is swiped away, his Swampert left with his possessions.

“...Alright… One thing at a time.”

Kim nears the Swampert, grabbing hold of the shard and tossing it into the hoop before it closes completely.

Returning the Kirlia, Kim releases his own Swampert, the pokemon eyeing Balder’s with interests- Pheromosa returns to his side, flicking off droplets of water as it landed near. After a few seconds, she returns his shades, Kim sliding them on giddily.



“Minnow. Elka.” Kim calls with a clap of his hands, eyeing the spire Kyle so suddenly started destroying. “Let’s do a little renovating.”

A glow at his chest and the Swampert evolves to its mega, a slew of jagged rocks armoring its body as it curled into a ball, a hoop formed above the two and then below, both pokemon becoming trapped in a continuous loop as they fell endlessly for a few seconds.



With enough velocity, Kim opens another hoop above (or below) the spiral, the two pokemon coming crashing down through the building, smashing the two shards that remain in the process.

Meanwhile, the Torterra gives a light huff, watching things unfold from a distance as he assist in evacuating with help from .

ღ kim uses the ol portal™ trick to launch both of them above the spiral and just curb stomp that hoe and the 2 shards inside it

ღ torterra provides support by helping move the dead body of noah out of immediate danger : )

his ass stings as its pierced, a feeling kazimir was rather familiar with if he had to compare the excruciating pain that caused the hero to let out a pathetic yelp as he pulled it out of his rear. luckily for him his costume offered him some protection but already he could feel himself not sitting down properly for a week or more. it was only the sound of 's voice that managed to calm him down, well for a moment before he turned to look back at the alolan who was busy dropping his pokemon and swampert. things looked like they were not going well for them, the champion had decided that the tower wasn't worth it and as pokkenger waddled over to the swampert a hoop appeared before it and out stepped who took the shard the alolan man must have been talking about before up and leaving with his pokemon.

so that happened.

"hey. don't die out there ok man? we don't need a repeat of ultra space." was all the pokkenger said as he bit his lip under the helmet and rushed over to the swampert, patting it on the back as he gathered together balder's belongings and took out a ball of his to return his lucario and swap it out with his heatran. as he did his falinks did their best to bring up another protective barrier around them as kaz hopped onto his heatran and waved over to the golurk who towered over the swampert. "pompeii! DAMNATION FLAMES! gutsman! GET US OUT OF HERE ESCAPE!"

with his commands his heatran let out a roar as it spewed fire from its mouth and carefully moved the flames around and around to try and burn anything that even tried to get close to them. his golurk punched the ground beneath them and another whirlpool of darkness opened up beneath their feet and slowly dragged them deep into the shadows.

 Meanwhile, grimmsnarl's mega evolution turned off and Bryan didn't have much else for him to do at the moment. "Capture whoever isnt a civillian morgan." he tells it and then looks to his klefki. "Fairy lock." he adds trying to keep whoever landed there still trapped. [break][break]

He saw that one of his arrows landed in pokkenranger and fired three more shots at him since he didn't really have much else to do.

She barely noticed the water falling on her skin. The disorientation brought about by their flipped world turned her stomach too—although it may have also been the horror in ’s face at his kill. Maybe it was also the chaos in her ear of gods clashing, and the constant shift in temperatures.

She tore the comms piece out of her ear and shoved it away against her chest instead. Too much going on. She needed to think. They had to do something. They couldn’t just stand there.

“Lucario, go! Help them secure the city.”

The jackal left their side, and she watched after him a moment, catching the glimpse of an AURA SPHERE chasing after League forces. Then, she watched with a sinking feeling as Darkrai also left to join him of its own accord, leaving her side to fight for their organization, and firing off DARK VOID towards those who opposed them in the distance.

Meanwhile, her psychic-type remained closest—an escape at a moment’s notice for either of her nearby family. Making use of her time, Gardevoir sent a DAZZLING GLEAM out towards any aggressing forces.

Lulu, just as she prepared to move herself and attempt to do something, witnessed a ghostly portal open up next to them. She was shocked by the sight of both who were spat out of it.

In the moment, all reason that she shouldn’t have called out vanished.

“Balder!” ( )

She took a step towards them, but the sight of a seemingly possessed held her back. She stared in horror—as a faceless shadow, having been unaware that she’d changed again. It was a defense mechanism at this point.

In the end, she did nothing. She knew she couldn’t save him—not without betrayal.

Gavin hears the voice of his brother but can't focus with 's voice similarly ringing in his ears. Here, he mouthes, but it's likely missed in all the chaos.

"You know me well enough to know that I hold the will of Rocket over all else."

He didn't want to see killed, didn't even want to see her hurt — but his hands are tied by an obligation as underboss.

Rocket above all else. No exceptions.

Machamp falls and Gavin's attentions are momentarily directed back to the battlefield around him. He glances behind, intending to cover their flank, when a shadowy portal spits out and in a messy tangle of limbs.

Gavin spots the crystalline claws with widened eyes.

"Choi?"

Please tell me it's you, and not—

"Remember that I gave you an option, Gavin."

He doesn't respond to her.

Instead, he speaks to all of Rocket who care to listen over comms: "Secure the city. No matter the cost."

Lugia takes to the skies in a flurry of winds and miasma with Gavin aboard its back. It shrieks, exerting its PRESSURE over the area as SHADOWS coalesce to form a vicious cyclone. The corrupt STORM would hope to wall them off from the League as Gavin swaps for his Tyranitar and instructs it to hold a TERRIFYING presence. Its DARK SANDSTREAM aids this cause, shards of black crystal not dissimilar to 's parasitic host falling from the sky.

Delphox continues to concentrate on its WISH.

Electric injury can affect the central nervous system. the victim might become dazed or experience amnesia, seizure or respiratory arrest.
He came to for a second time with a lesser groan, unsure of when he'd went unconscious the second time. ". . . ."

From beyond the airspace of Sootopolis he saw a tower of a water made by a titan and gods of darkness, death, and destruction pushed their agendas in hand with the humans they made pacts with.

It wasn't until he saw the NO MANS LAND where he started, the SUNNY DAY finally burning out, that he realized he wasn't on land at all.

Amaterasu's black wings flapped keeping him in the air.

Gan was still in his Charizard-state and on his back was Jennika who was the most worried about him.

With Jennika jumping into his arms and hugging him tight he groggily returned the ditto to its pokéball as he called for Tsukuyomi who was still taking his forced nap.

A blast of HAZE from the wartortle woke the Kadabra instantly who began to support Amaterasu's flight while taking mental record of the last happenings of Sootopolis' strange geological shifting.

On a whim from all the gods and supernatural occurances about Kadabra was cued to use FUTURE SIGHT over Sootopolis and its airspace. Sénon himself telepathically plugged into the feed of what Tsukuyomi might find.

There is a feeling of helplessness that can't help but hover over the young ranger. His abilities weren't working until it felt like it was too late, the city was going crazy all around them from who knew what, and Skyler just gotten herself swallowed whole and there wasn't a single thing he could do. It seems like not even being an avatar would help with the bullshit that was going on. [break][break]

He looks toward Kyle who has called on his hoard of legends informing how he was going to destroy the Spire. Something that, as a Sootopolis Citizen himself, he knew wasn't going to go over well. Though he has no clue of knowing what the plan was for the League this whole time. His radio was linked to Rangers of the island, not the big shots. [break][break]

There is a silent question from the white Dragon asking him on what he wants to do. Seeming to trust in the one they have called their champion. He doesn't agree with whatever 's plan is with the tower, he has no idea what's going on in the other levels of the city outside madness. Though he knows they need to get out. [break][break]

There were still people at his home that were probably in need of help still. And while he gets there it seems like a majority have been helped by his flying pokemon, with his mask on he goes to help who is left. Pupils began to constrict into tiny beads in pools of amber, but all he saw was the absence of something that once was. Even so he refused to give up the search on the principle he couldn't afford her to have dead.[break][break]

She was gone. Just gone. No aura to trace, and a splatter that could've been hers...[break][break]

Crestfallen and outraged, Adrian continues to pursue the point where she'd disappeared atop Magnezone, followed closely by Yveltal. The leviathan entity seems pleased enough to know the threat has fled, and the world had begun to right itself. And perhaps it even lamented a life lost sooner than intended, but it would not mourn her alongside he, itself burdened with a greater, inglorious purpose beyond him.[break][break]

Adrian could not come to terms with the loss. Yveltal remains nearby, though its involvement seems to have ceased, save maybe to exfiltrate Adrian. He presses a finger to the radio in his ear, thinking to call out, but decides against it. What to even say?[break][break]

It all seemed so detached and horribly surreal to him. As they float about, Bronzor roams freely, a slight sheen in its otherwise dull finish that he'll never see. To think what he might've seen, and how it could have changed his course...[break]

There was no city worth his sister, no cause worth her sacrifice. His heart aches yet he abandons what allies remain to him; hopping off Magnezone's platform onto the crimson streaked monster, hands like manacles to its pronged horns as he saddles it like a beast of burden. In that moment his own aura and the seed that was planted proved darker and more intent even than the great one, whose affliction proved its undoing. Thunderous roars pierced her ears as two titans in the sky suddenly collided. Each jolt sent a piercing pain through Serena's body, but she could only watch on in fear and awe as GIRATINA and YVELTAL clashed. YVELTAL sent a sharp shockwave to the underbelly of the one who held her captive. The blow almost made Serena breathless but still GIRATINA held onto her. [break][break]

Out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of her brother as he sent out pokémon to assist her. "Adrian..." she breathed out before frowning. "I'm sorry..." she whispered. Before his ABRA could reach her it faltered under the weight of the the two Titans at war with one another. [break][break]

Unfortunately, whatever her brother had planned, she didn't think she was making it out of this situation that easily. Meanwhile Katherine still continued to speak with her communication device. “Remember that I gave you an option, Gavin.” Serena felt her mouth twitch. So this was it was it? So be it. “Make sure to tell that to everyone in Rocket when you recover the body... That is, if you'll manage to find it.”[break][break]

Serena scoffed. "Shame you can't see further than two feet in front of you." Serena called out again launching an insult at Katherine's intelligence. Just because she killed her here didn't get her or the league any closer to their goal. Sootopolis would still fall and if anything her behavior an actions could be used against the credibility of the League. [break][break]

Moments leading up to her death and Serena was surprisingly unafraid. Perhaps it was the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins, or something else. She'd done all she could with the cards she had been dealt and for once she didn't have any regrets about it. The only thing she felt bad for, was the people she would be leaving behind. [break][break]

“We are leaving, Giratina.” Katherine ordered. [break][break]

Suddenly a flash of light blinded Serena before GIRATINA'S deafening roar overwhelmed her ears. Gravity around them seemed to shift and become unstable as the beast pointed downward, giving Serena a clear view of Caspurr standing defiantly in the way of the god of distortion. “I don’t lose,” Katherine hissed in Serena's ears that caused her blue orbs to widen. [break][break]

“I am just sacrificing a pawn.”[break][break]

Serena's stomach lurches as GIRATINA suddenly begins it's dive downwards. Serena begins to panic as the world slows around her. "You crazy bitch! STOP!" she screeches out to her in horror as her eyes stayed locked on Caspurr. "CAS MOVE!" but he remained steadfast in his spot. "THAT'S AN ORDER! MOVE IDIOT!" she screamed at him as they continued their nosedive into an inevitable collision. "I GET IT!" she pleaded. She didn't care what happened to her but she didn't want her pokémon hurt in the process. [break][break]

Caspurr was so much more than a pokémon to her, or some tool. He was her best friend. Her family. "SOMEONE. PLEASE--" Serena's last plea was cut off on impact, an impact she didn't feel. Here in a distorted plane she is finally released. However Serena couldn't unsee what was before her. [break][break]

No sooner had she entered this realm was she cast out. But nothing was on her mind but the sound and image of Caspurr being impaled by the legendary. Nothing phased Serena as she was tossed out somewhere away from Sootopolis. Where was she even? She didn't care. She needed to make it back. It had to be a dream. "...ake me back..." she muttered lifelessly. She pulled herself up off the ground as she stumbled forward. "Take me back..." she repeated again as she reached out towards the sky. [break][break]

She felt cold, empty, hot, and furious all at once. Her emotions formed into a raging ball of tempest in her belly before erupting as she screamed up at the sky to no one in particular, but at the same time to the one that mattered. The one that had managed to alter everything in Sootopolis to begin with. PALKIA. "TAKE ME BACK RIGHT NOW!" Serena screamed at the top of her lungs. So loudly she could taste the blood in her throat but she didn't care. [break][break]

In a flash her body was trembling as she once again was taken through space and time, but this time, it wasn't against her will. Serena wasn't sure how long it had been upon arrival back in Sootopolis she had only one goal. To check on her best friend. Spit out from the distortion realm once more she landed back where she had been before this mess began. [break][break]

Her eyes were wild as she scanned the area searching for her Liepard, for any source of familiarity until...[break][break]

Her pokémon were surrounding something, among the rubble there was a pool of crimson that made Serena's legs weak. Somehow those same legs managed to carry her to them before faltering as she fell to her knees. The fire and defiance that had been in her eyes melted away to nothingness as her entire body went numb at the sight of Caspurr's crumpled body limp and on the ground. [break][break]

Serenity was panicking and crying as she attempted to heal him but to no avail since she was still under the HEAL BLOCK from earlier. Serena felt her voice catch in her throat as hot tears began to fall down her cheeks. Crawling her way over to where her friend lay, she could tell there was still breath in his body yet.[break][break]

"...rry..." she croaked, her voice hoarse from all the screaming. "...I'm...so sorry..." she pleaded to her dying friend, who only managed to whimper against her soft touch. Serena's body trembled as she crumbled before him and her team, her tears staining the ground and mixing with his blood that pooled around them. [break][break]

While her head was still bowed in shame and guilt, Caspurr mustered all his strength to gently press his nose against her forehead in a weak kiss. Instantly Serena was taken back to the moment she first caught Caspurr. They had gotten along so well, after he saved her from mean Houndour's that had ganged up on her.[break][break]

After chasing them away, the only thing Cas could think of to stop her tears was to press his nose against her forehead. It took Serena by surprise but the moment she realized she was safe her tears dried. Overwhelmed with gratitude she pulled him closer in her arms and cuddled against him. Promising him that day that they would be the 'bestest friends ever'. [break][break]

And so they were. [break][break]

Caspurr knew Serena better than anyone because he was always by her side. Always the overprotective one, but proud and strong nonetheless. As she continued to add more to their little family, instead of growing jealous he quickly became the pillar of strength among the group. The glue that held them all together. The reason her team could work so well together, why they were so well behaved was because of him. He took care of them, showed them the ropes and protected them when Serena couldn't. [break][break]

Cas eventually fell back to the ground, breath no longer in his body, which is what brought Serena back to the present. Staring down at him she felt something in her snap in that moment. She could no longer see as her vision became blurred. Around her, her pokémon mourned and cried while Serena could only feel her breath halt in her lungs. [break][break]

Painful tears continued to stream down her face as she gasped for air, clutching at her chest. He was gone. And it was all her fault...[break][break]

+ tl;dr: LEVEL 2b | Serena insulted Katherine's intelligence since it seemed she was incapable of looking at the 'bigger picture' or anything beyond herself. Serena soon lost her smugness realizing Caspurr had released himself from his pokeball once more to stand down GIRATINA in a last act of defiance and strength. This was his way of saving Serena. GIRATINA impaled Caspurr before taking himself, Serena, and Katherine into the distortion realm.[break] After he ejected Serena from that plane and launched her somewhere else in Hoenn entirely. Away from Sootopolis as a whole. Serena calls out to PALKIA to take her back where she was needed. PALKIA summons Serena back to Sootopolis, once more on platform 2b where she reunites with her pokémon. Serenity attempts to heal Caspurr but can't due to HEAL BLOCK (3/5) Serena recalls her origins of meeting Caspurr and his importance to her and her team before he passes. Rest in Peace friend.

[break][break] water crashes around him, sending him sprawling off his crobat and into the torrent that is the sudden geyser. something tight and hot grips around his neck as he chokes for air — the trauma of past events.

[break][break] the water swirls around and with wide eyes, jayden realizes the events that is happening. his father's blood-red gaze disappears from his mind's eye, and he realizes belatedly that his orbeetle has used psychic to create an air-bubble around his trainer, to prevent him from further asphyxiation.

[break][break] through the gleam of light, he only barely notices and being swathed in darkness. "sir — " he starts, eyes wide and panicked. "chu-e!"

[break][break] but they're both gone.

[break][break] he twists, just in time, for the chaos that sends the spiral's way. he notices a flicker of light where his crobat is still flying just outside the geyser. "quick guard!" he shouts, though his voice likely garbled by the water.

    Oscar turned his attention back to Giritina as its battle with Yveltal raged on. Foolish optimism convinced Oscar that Yveltal could still win, that Serena could be saved. His hopes for a happy ending were dashed, in the blink of an eye Giritina was gone. What was left behind could barely be considered a corpse, from Oscar's perspective Serena had been completely brutalized. 

    Oscar shuddered with disbelief, it happened so fast he could barely comprehend that it had happened at all. Oscar's shoulders went slack, the realization that nothing could be done rapidly eating away any grief that could have formed. Another comrade falling victim to the league, another mortal being made a smear by some 'god', Oscar had never felt so very helpless.

    He had no time to lament however, there was still a battle to fight. He straightened up, thinking of what to do next before gasping with a jolt. "Adrian." He swirled to face Serena's brother, but he was already gone. Oscar heard Yveltal's cry from nearby, how had such a large creature snuck away so easily? Oscar watched as the crimson reaper rained death and destruction upon Sootopolis, personifying the grief of a sibling made into an only child. Oscar was fixated on the horrifying spectacle, his attention only drawn away by the sound of Genesect charging an attack.

    Target Eliminated. Seeking new target. Target acquired.


    Oscar looked to the hunter, who was aiming its cannon toward something in the distance. Following its gaze, Oscar would see flying atop Lugia. Suddenly it clicked. "Oh no you fucking don't!" Oscar whipped out Genesect's pokeball, withdrawing it before any unauthorized destruction could occur. He sighed heavily, as soon as he got back to the sub he was gonna have to learn to program. Until then, he was at a loss of what to do. He looked at where Genesect had stood, cringing as he saw the unconscious form of Mime Jr. Mustakrakish and Hatred came upon beside their master, awaiting further orders as Oscar stared at the downed babe. Eventually their master spoke.

    "Get down to the lower levels, scare off any straggling rangers. If they don't leave, trample them. Make them hurt." 

    The two nodded in unison, stomping off toward the lower tiers as Sootopolis slid back into place. Oscar walked over to Mime Jr. gently scooping it into his arms and cradling it as he would a sleeping baby. Oscar sighed, "What am I supposed to do with you?" Perhaps Adrian would be able to raise it, and if not him certainly Gavin?

    Oscar's train of thought was derailed by the sound of sobbing. He turned and nearly dropped Mime Jr. in his shock. Serena was alive! Where did she come from? How did she survive? Oscar was ready to run up and ask her a million questions, however he stopped himself as he 'read the room'. She was sobbing over the corpse left behind by Giritina, whatever it used to be was apparently quite important to her. To interrupt her mourning now would be unjust, so Oscar stifled his excitement. He quickly spoke over comms, "Gavin, Serena's alive. Katherine was bluffing. I'll keep an eye on her." Oscar may have been addressing Gavin, but his words could be heard through every channel. Hopefully Adrian would hear in time to stop his rampage.

    Adjusting Mime Jr. in his arms, Oscar would slowly approach Serena. As he reached her he would say nothing, do nothing. He simply stood by her side while she took the time to mourn.

    tl;dr
    --Oscar stops Genesect from shooting lugia out of the sky.
    --Oscar commands mega-garchomp and tyranitar to move to level 1A and pick off any remaining ranger NPCs
    --Oscar scoops of Mime jr. and holds it while it sleeps.
    --Oscar sees Serena is alive, informs Rocket, and stands by her while she cries.
    --Oscar is tired and wants to take a nap.

    An absolute clusterfuck.


    Noah's words sent a pang through his chest.

    "... Okay. I'll go get him. I promise." Doug said to , patting the man in the shoulder. "But you are staying here."

    He pressed the man up to the Torterra.

    "Please... Protect him until Councilman returns." He said, before turning to Noah's Bouffalant, ruffling his fro. "You too, Tyrus. I'm glad you made it back... now I just gotta... get Cobra."

    He swallowed hard, pressing his hands to the comms as he ran towards the water spout, returning his accelgor to its ball as his Golisopod took point.

    "All units! Civilians have been evacuated! Fall back! I repeat, fall back!" He ordered as he grasped onto his Golisopod and she leapt onto the spout, swimming at high speed to return to the battlefield.

    His Orbeetle's thoughts came blaring through, and he nodded. They would meet at the site.

    "He's the strongest Machamp I know..." The youth said, eyes squeezed tight. He didn't have much faith in gods these days, but if any could answer prayers-! "He'll be fine...!"

    He would be fine, he would be fine, he would be-!

    The Golisopod's form broke out of the swirl's pull and landed, her trainer in tow.

    It's hard to breathe as he seeks out the scene of the murder. The evidence is on the floor, clear as day, Cobra's body limp as the enemy begins to morph the earth around him.

    They've killed Noah's oldest friend, and now they are making bait out of his corpse.

    Blood rushes to his head, vile and acid rise to his throat, and his chest burns.

    He can feel a familiar, prodding in the back of his mind as Garo descends from on high like an ufo, telling him to keep his head and run as the sensation of trick room fell over the battlefield with him. They were done here; Cobra was done.

    But he promised he would bring him back.

    Could he run away and tell Noah he had left the body in Rockets' posession, even after seeing what they were willing to do?

    No.

    and hadn't given up yet- and neither would he.

    "GET COBRA!" Ordered Doug with a booming scream, Mega Orbeetle's eyes gleaming bright as stars as his psychic aura fell over the battlefield, the youth's hand swinging and throwing a pokeball in the air, releasing a Type:Null onto the field.

    G-MAX GRAVITAS



    The ground cracked, tore and upheaved as gravity was reversed all around them, rising in the air as debris, hopefully throwing the rockets and their pokemon for a temporary loop as the power of Trick room and Zero gravity combined surged through Golisopod.

    Her usually heavy armor light as a feather, her firm, unmoving stance discarded as she crouched low... before she swung her arm at blinding speeds, blades of water erecting from her hands.

    The soared through the air, cutting to pieces the tower of stone to free Cobra's body, hopefully allowing Lars' Metagross to grasp it with its psychic pull.

    Returning his Golisopod to its pokeball, Doug rode atop Frankie as the type:Null leapt from debris to debris with Aerial Ace, having once experienced the wrong side of Zero Gravity before, following in Kaida's and Lars' heels to escape, Mega Orbeetle close behind.

    -Returned Accelgor
    -Trick Room still active (4/5)
    -Switched out Meltan for Type: Null.
    -Used G-Max Gravitas to (hopefully) drastically alter the battlefield.
    -Used Golisopod, a generally extremely slow pokemon, with trick room, granting her blinding speed to hopefully use Razor Shell before anything else happens and cut the stone tower to pieces so that ' Metagross can grab Cobra's body.
    -Is running away along with and atop Type:Null, who is using Aerial Ace.

    Mason could not bring himself to open his eyes, and yet he still saw rapid changes of light. Everything sounded like static and the boy was more drenched and cold than ever, he still had not quite recover from the cold and damp waterfall adventure he went through. This was too much for him.

    He could not really decipher what and @izzy said to him. But his Volcarona, Elio, did understand what needed to be done. When they were fully ascended from the spiralling torrent, Elio escaped from the grasp of the water he loathed so much.

    A quick Fiery Dance was performed by Elio to dry himself off. Immediately after, Elio swooped down at the helpless boy and carried him towards a much safer place. Away from the giant blue.
