Now, it will be a team effort and she got teamed up with Remiel Calcifet and Kaida Adachi for this round. She doesn't know much about them personally other than them being a great performer like how they have shown earlier. While Lyssa tries to think of a name for their team - Kaida rush in and set the atmosphere to intimidating with his Charizard's LEER and Remiel follow him up with a SLASH to increase the intimidating factor of the Charizard and give their team a name - A fitting name, so Lyssa can't argue with them for rushing in. 'Well, a good dancer should be able to become a backup dancer too. But, I will make sure people remember me even if I am a backup dancer' Lyssa thought to herself and start her action. Sigilyph rises up to the air and hovers right behind the Charizard - Winds gathers into one spot, creating one singular ball of wind floating in the middle of Sigilyph. The sandstorm that is engulfing them dance rampaging but it won't be any of use in the eyes of Horus, the guardian of the desert. "Horus, show your might!" The sigilyph cries ominously and a series of flashing wind slash produced from the airball that she performs, cutting through the sandstorm from different direction without any of it hitting the Charizard who is right in front of him. Creating an illusion from a certain perspective that Charizard makes the wind around him go rampaging from his intimidating attempt.

Three badass and unspeakably cool competitors all posed at center stage like the opening bars of an Abba song. "We're the Hadron Cool-iders!" Chryssa heard Luka say, and the girl signaled her Dewott to add to the performance as Shinx's Electro Ball grew like an atomic core on stage.

"And our fusion is out of this world!"

As the Shinx released his Electro Ball with a fearsome roar, Drew's scalchops appeared in her hands like hidden blades. While Maverick's Mandibuzz's Defog surrounded the Electro Ball with a web of light blue crescents like a cloud of electrons, Dewott came charging forward, shooting up towards the spotlights above just to kick off the ceiling and blast back down like a superpowered particle.

Drew's shells flashed in her hands as she used Aerial Ace and collided with the team's combined ball of energy, the outer layer of Defog protecting her from harmful electricity and repelling the ball away from her shells like it had been squeezed between giant fingers. It shot away, rebounding and crackling at sharp angles across the stage.

For a moment, the audience might have experienced the scene like a scientist experienced a microscope, observing a particle beam under perfect control, seeking a glimpse of something beyond simple physics.

...Then it ricocheted towards their opponents, and the ball was in their court. (Chryssa wasn't giving up her basketball metaphor that easily.)

To be completely honest, Mars hadn’t been paying much attention to the other contestants until now, but of course that out of all people he’d get put in a group with resident dog-lover kyle lopez (We meet again, Lopez). Rowan Wrynn, on the other hand, he didn’t really know beyond being a Rocket Beast, but he seemed pretty cool... if putting the apparent penchant for killing Machamp aside (ya do what ya gotta do, right?).

Apparently it was up to him to wrap things up, and as Mars saw it, there were two ways he could go about it: he could fuck over his teammates and save himself, or he could actually be helpful and raise their cumulative appeal. The former is what Mars himself would have done, but of course ever-wonder Martín del Mar would do the good thing!

”Alright! Let’s wrap things up with a bang!” As per usual, the confident cheer in his smile contrasted heavily with the quiet intensity of his Greninja, but let me tell you, a bang it sure was…

The Greninja put his hands together, as if holding onto something impossible to see, and in the space between them, light began to accumulate itself in the form of a bright orb. Then, with now warning, all that energy was released, being fired towards the skies in the form of a HYPER BEAM.

In previous rounds, Rowan had chosen to show off the raw power and accuracy of his Inteleon. There was another facet of the Pokémon that he hadn’t been able to display to the crowd and judges until now. “We’re going to do speed this time, Natasha.” Rowan muttered to the Pokémon as they crossed into the spotlight, receiving a small nod in return from her.

Planting her feet onto the wood, Natasha watched as Rowan threw the watermelon he’d prepared into the air. It would only be a few seconds before it hit the ground and shattered, at least for most. The Inteleon surged forward with a Quick Attack, splitting the watermelon into two pieces, catching one in each hand before they hit the floor. She smirked and handed one half to Rowan before taking a bite out of hers. What better snack to cool down a hot contest?

there was little time for prep, but at least what was needed to be prepped for was easy as done.

there's a flash that comes across the stage, with a mixture of orange and yellow colors on the blur. a strong gust follows after it as the tailwind from the manectric's display of agility, whose aftermath was delayed for a second.

firecrackers all sound from the manectric's trail, all lit up by the heat from the pokemon's static when it dashed through. the smoke trail left behind alongside the sparkler on the pokemon's mouth all make sense once the figure of the manectric stops and is shown to the audience.

"tada! hello everyone! please call us the howie harem!" kyle grimaces on the inside on why he has to be the one to make the introduction.

the sentiment wasn't shared by the manectric, who has a makeshift costume on her. extra fluff was worn around her neck to replicate an arcanine's mane and fur while stripes were painted where they should be on her body. the sparkler she holds on her mouth should make her look like she breathes fire.

Chryssa laughed magnanimously behind her hand at their foolish opponents who had foolishly underestimated their live, Pokemon-themed rendition of the real-world Large Hadron Collider. "It appears science triumphs again," she said, flipping her hair at her competitors to bathe them in the triumphant scent of discount shampoo.

The jamming round began, and Chryssa could practically taste strawberry in the air already. "Oh heavens!" she gasped, putting one hand to her forehead. "I seem to have caught a case of the vapors! If only a strong, sensitive Pokemon might..."

She pretended to crumple in slow motion as a feint (faint?) to distract their competition. Dewott caught her before she had to do a full backbend, barely keeping the girl off the ground before managing to lower her to the floor after some straining. Chryssa continued to cry out in her southern debutante accent. "Why... I do declare... if a knight in shining otter, I mean, armor, hasn't come to my rescue!"

The audience had lost some of its starry-eyedness after the consecutive rounds after the introduction, and their response to Chryssa's stage intermission was mostly just confusion. From her position swooning low to the ground, the girl carefully calculated who was next on her warpath. "Study your opponents carefully, Drew," she murmured, tone as sinister as a teenager laying on a wooden stage, "We don't know who we might have to... eliminate... next."

Dewott's black eyes scanned the ankles of the competition, sizing up weak spots and good legs among the preceding trio.

"By the way, I have this," Chryssa said from the floor, waving the gold star she'd mysteriously received during the commercial break. "I'll use it to shine a light at our opponent's eyes to throw off their aim at the last second. It's brilliant! Cover me."

Drew hastened to obey, waving her shells over Chryssa's head to create a brilliant X-Scissor over the girl's fallen body, indicative of her imminent disqualification. Hopefully she could distract the audience and other contestants from Chryssa's secondary (primary) pseudo-distraction. "Can't jam what you can't see, imbeciles!" she cried, wiggling the little light like a cat toy on someone's retina.

They weren't doing well, were they? Muspel looked over to Kaida sadly, letting out a soft grumble, eyes flicking down. There was only one option left, Kaida considered, to make Muspel look her best, the others would have to look their worst.

"Muspel, come." She ordered, and the normally strict woman whispered into the Charizard's ear, who nodded seriously. It would take a bit of skill and looking oblivious, but Kaida doubted many eyes were on them anyway. She prepared, climbing onto the Charizard's back, a first since the contest had begun.

As Muspel flapped into the air, she started releasing periodic Air Slashes, the white saws of cutting power swirling around the dracion. The rather tame display suddenly exploded in movement, the dragon twisting and turning like a blur, Kaida holding on with seemingly no effort, quickly muttering "Now." as Muspel seemingly randomly firing off the captive Air Slashes. To most onlookers, this was a harmless display of speed and move power, for Kaida, it was sabotage.

On her orders, Air Slash was fired off above their opponents heads. Not enough to harm, and the fact that the Air Slashes were little more than cutting air meant few could actually tell what she was doing.

To look the best sometimes meant humiliating your rivals.

If it wasn’t for his team mate during the last team up round, the scarred man would still be at the bottom of the bottom. And for this, he was thankful to be paired with such talent for contest. Their plan worked flawlessly, even bringing a faint smirk to the edge of the man’s lip when the score showed their hard work. Although the ex gym leader still had no idea what he was doing, Maverick felt like he might be starting to get the hang of it. Well… kinda….

A bushy brow rose when the theme for the next round was announced. He had no idea what jamming meant in terms of contest. He knew what the word meant, but how do you jam someone in contest. Warm gaze flickered as each competitor stranded their stuff, trying to understand what the judges and audience expected from him. In not time however, it was his turn and he only sighed. Time to play another guessing game.

Taking center stage, the Mandibuzz flew around the building preforming yet another around of aerial acrobats. Dive bombing, only to flash her wings out to spot her descent last minute. And after a few more fancy tricks, it was time to show them what cool was all about. “Punishment,” the man let out in a deep low growl, his gaze turned almost as dark as his down.

The flying and dark type vulture swooped down just before the judges, wings took on a purple hue glow. She then moved her wings as if she was hitting an invisible target, first at slow only to gain more speed and power with each passing second to PUNISHMENT was activated. Her heart raced, putting everything she got into the attack. But soon, she couldn’t do it anymore. And once the moment came, she thrusted herself up into the air once more. That was, until she lean back to backflip into a dive bomb once more only to open her wings to gingerly rest next to her human master. Both bowed in unison, Maverick fighting the grin that tempted to reveal itself.

Shinx bounds onto the stage again, hackles raised. He snarls at the competition, striking as intimidating a figure as he can despite his small stature. Electricity crackles around his jaws, teeth flashing as they snap shut. A low growl echoes through the crowd, commanding attention and sending the spectators into a sudden hush.[break][break]
In one bound, Lemon leaps from the stage into the rafters. For a moment he remains unseen, until a pair of sharply glowing eyes leer out from the darkness. They glint, flashing yellow and piercing through the other competitors.[break][break]
A crack of thunder splits the sudden silence, and a gleaming bolt of electricity strikes the center of the stage. When the flash fades, Lemon is standing proudly on the spot where the stage still sizzles, striking a pose.

kyle was ready to wow the audience with a second electro ball when the bonus round shows itself. there was a shrug that follows, regretting his choices the previous rounds.

a hand rests on the back of his neck as he stares at his manectric. eyes close as his shoulders gave a for a brief rise and fall. it's a go ahead for his pokemon to do what it wants.

manectric then throws up some sparks in a form off a few thunder waves in the air to show off.

Inteleon took the stage once more with a flourish, her hand positioned into the shape of a gun. Natasha wouldn't go down without a fight and even if she couldn't win there was a chance she could hinder others with another display of raw power. Energy gathered at the end of her finger, pulsating and reverberating throughout the air as the power grew more unstable until...

BOOM!

The Hyper Beam exploded much like before, hoping to startle the opponents and upset the competition. She wasn't going to win, but they weren't going to win so easily.

The hype is rising and as an entertainer, she starts to feel that they are reaching the climax soon. Well, a climax of an event needs to have a bombastic performance to close it. Lyssa stares at her Siglyph and nod to each other as if they have the same thought. Lyssa takes a step into the stage, "I hope everyone is entertained with all of the performance that we have been showing since the beginning" Lyssa starts to announce with a smile on her face, she is lifting her arm slowly and pointing at the sky where Horus flies to the point that she is directing to. "With that said, I want to give you all spectacular fireworks! Hope you all enjoy it" Lyssa swings her arms downward like swinging a hammer of judgment where a ray of intense light gather to the center of Horus's body and a streak of beam unleashed their rage directed to the ground producing a massive explosion that shakes the stage and inviting dust to scatter all around it (HYPER BEAM).

Lyssa stands right in front of the explosion making her like those Hollywood action movie character that stands in front of an explosion with their back facing it. As the explosion happened, she slowly wears sunglasses and walk away dramatically while Horus descend and follow her trying to hide his fatigue after shooting the beam.

This was it. The final round. The make it or break it. And despite the trainer not knowing what in the hell he was doing or being the type of person to like this kind of stuff, Maverick has to admit it it wasn’t as bad as he originally thought. Of course, he would never say that out loud.

Taking in a deep breath, the scarred man suddenly felt a wave of nerves. This feeling was strange to him. He wasn’t the type to get like this under pressure. Warm gaze flickered over the crowd, trying to think about what would really wow the judges and crowd to possibly get him a first place prize. And when it was his turn, Maverick was still coming up blank. His shoulders rose and fell, honestly not really caring if he won or lost.

“Brave bird.”

The flying and dark type took to the air, barrel rolling into the crowd. She let out a squawk, leveling herself out in preparation for the final move. And when she was ready, the Mandibuzz began to partial dive towards the judges. Her body began to became surrounded in a red fiery glow. The faster her dive, the more the flames licked her body. That was, until her wings shot just inches from their heads. The sudden change triggered the flames to disappear, creating a light blue static around her as she flew pass them and straight towards her master.

Maverick bowed, the Mandibuzz landed gracefully next to him and did the same. One wing bend in while the other straight out, dipping her head. It was in the judges hands now.
