it throws her off balance, hands darting out to brace for impact against glass. eventually, seismic activity subdues into nothing and she's glancing back over at the rest of the group. it's for merely a moment before there's two more familiar faces on their side of the wall.
Katherine Fairburne and
Eva Morales... weren't they just on the right side?
eyes dart between them and the glass. where she expects to see the rest of the right group, however... there's nothing. it's almost as if they've vanished.
something coils in her stomach and she can't quite decide what it is at the moment. concern, dread, a concoction of both? it grows as eva speaks, as she points to a nearly noticed tunnel.
and while illeana's facial structure bleeds into concern, she stays quiet. whatever questions she has are left to rot in the confines of her throat, swallowed back in favor of shuffling on.
they move into a new room, the alakazam at her side only a step behind. her head swivels about with a curious look. there's glass everywhere, some different than others. her mind processes the feeling of it all a moment later. it feels off in a way she can't quite put her finger on. ominous, almost alive but not quite. a strange energy she's not familiar with, certainly.
a step starts her path and then another until she's standing in the center of the room. she notes each placement of glass, rotating her body in a full circle. one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. when she gets to the twelfth mirror, she's sliding to a stop.
"huh," she murmurs. her head tilts slightly to the left, gears in her mind churning.
"it looks like a clock."why would a clock be made of mirrors, though? and where are the hands to shift from one hour, one minute into the next? questions continue to rise and she's rotating again for another look.
she stops, however, at four and five.
black residue lies in this part of the room, splotchy and wrong against otherwise pristine glass. is it... only in this corner?
her body is shifting before she can stop herself. boots click until she's standing next to
Kazimir Wynter, slowly bending at the waist to stare down at the black residue. it almost looks like tar but the consistency reminds her of something else.
blue sap. and yet, where the sap collected from the littleroot incident had a particular feeling to it, even when laced with poison and her own saliva. it felt pure in a way she couldn't possibly describe.
this, however, feels void somehow.
and before she can think of anything else, a hand is extending to touch it. wisps of
healing mist coil around her outstretched arm. it wraps gently at her wrist, licking at her outstretched palm even as her fingers make contact with the

“Whoa!” Eva nearly drops the torch when the strange bubble suddenly appears with a splash. The liquid shudders and bends until its settles over a light that mirrors the bright smile of curiosity on her own face, “Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting that,” she turns, holding out the strange torch for the others to inspect as well when
