the first try got him anything but valuables. he's not sure what he expected other than garbage by slateport's waters.

The clear cerulean waters of Slateport beach welcome Skyler again, lapping at her legs as she wades into the ocean. Playfully saluting the nearby divers, Skyler moves away from the golden sands, swimming towards deeper waters.

Her Lapras breaks through the surface, nostrils flaring. Skyler holds onto one of its shell spikes as it dives back down, eyes peeled for glinting gold.

what was he supposed to do with the rock that he found?

on one hand, it's shiny. on the other hand, it's not really that exciting compared to, like, getting some sort of treasure from the lost city of atlantis.

At the rate he was diving, Marshall would be an expert by the time Splashfest ended. He wondered if this should become a regular hobby of his — or at least a summer hobby to while away the time in between races. But that was a thought for another day, perhaps one he should have with his agent.

Marshall swam easily through the water, on the lookout for new goodies. Something in the sand caught his eye, and he reached for it.

Angelo’s busy with work today but the Floatzel that’s accompanied him so far has, admittedly, been bitten by the treasure hunting bug. A foxy face follows skyler dross out to sea, propeller tails easily allowing him to keep pace with the expert and her Lapras.

He watches her dive once or twice, observing, before slipping beneath the waves himself. Nosing around in the sand of the sea floor for treats.

The water was frigid, but she didn't mind that so much: it cleared her head, and made her feel more alert. All around her, seaweed floated haphazardly and bubbles floated to the surface, as if desperately seeking the sky above. A school of Wishiwashi hurried past in a flurry, and Seraphine pulled up suddenly in order to avoid crashing into them.
