All their best efforts came tumbling down like a house of cards. Everything happened so fast.

The alien pokemon everyone else was fighting, the lifting of the mineral vein pieces (he tried to grab a stray piece when the moment came), the rapidly approaching region.

All of it he noticed but he never took his eyes off of the good Doctor. After 's INFESTATION he provided a follow-up. "Essam" He'd hoped getting his ass blown off earlier didn't mess up his comms.

They had, but better the comms than the voice modulator.

Pinging was as far as he could think ahead to an escape plan. "I'm going after the Triad!" That unown-K was out and waiting for its moment to save its trainer. The vigilante would provide the Hidden Power Pokemon its opportunity.

Still amongst the SUNNY DAY and the GRASSY TERRAIN Zarude in its terastallized form took one last literal charge at the enemy, bringing the base of its palms together it rocked its body back and lighting particles of Green and Iridescent-colors pulled to the center of its aligned palms.

A gesture honed with help from its human trainer. How Senon knew the gesture when Senon himself couldn't fire a beam was Zarude's biggest mystery.

With a leap from the vein (Crimsen, in tow) the Nameless Rogue Monkey continued to let the power gather from the terrain and the sun in the sky. From above and below power pulled into its palms during a leap towards Dr. Holo.

When the firing path was clear, Zarude took its shot firing a collective expanding stream that would put every TERA BLAST from before to shame.

Zarude used Solar Beam!
(No Recharge Required)

If her unown didn't block the suped up blast she would have to tank the damage herself and then fend off the vigilante closing in on her position.

He'd slam into her throwing them both clear from the meteor to freefall below.

A second Solar Beam at the region's surface just before impact would work to slow their decent and break their fall but that was only after this capture attempt on the dark doctor, and that was only if couldn't do the heavy lifting to safely land them back on Hoenn soil.

could at least figuratively bury him an intact man and mourn his heroic sacrifice for her homeland if he got stuck on the meteor and killed. He would be a lot less heroic or 'mournable' (and even less intact) if he died from gravity.

Worst case scenario; he still had two pokemon that could TELEPORT and a gyarados that could FLY. But for now he put his every effort into clearing the meteor with Dr. Holo quite in his custody.

He even had some 'Ranger Rope' ready.

THE PRIMAL POINT BEAMS course toward the meteoroid like divine javelins. Before 99943 METENO is warped, , with the assistance of and , attempts to seize the DRK Triad member.[break][break]

's TOGEKISS casts a SAFEGUARD around the Head Scientist and her patron, while an ELECTRO WEB is launched. The UNOWN-K attempts to retaliate, but is immediately SLEPT by DARKRAI.[break][break]



However, it is caught by 's ZARUDE'S ATTACK. A SOLAR BEAM tears across the electrifying webbing, striking both a shadow-spout and Dr. Holo. The two are launched off the meteoroid by the searing heat of their descent—and the solar energy of a determined vigilante.[break][break]

"there is little use in taking me," Dr. Holo says to through gritted teeth.[break][break]

The beam is softened by 's GENESECT'S ELECTRO WEB thankfully, saving the two hurtling scientists from grievous harm. The UNOWN-K is struck by the SOLAR BEAM. Its shape falls to the meteoroid's rocky face... and will be warped along with it, if does not take the UNOWN-K instead.[break][break]

As they fall, DARKRAI catches them to help them both land safely, while and ride their Pokemon back to earth.


DEOXYS & TERA SHARDS



WITH ITS CRYSTALLINE SHIELD BROKEN, the METENO-DEOXY'S CORE spirals through the air. 's DEOXYS is quick to teleport to it. Momentarily, its body blurs as light attempts to keep up with its instantaneous shift. Around the last vestige of the meteoroid's threat, the 's DEOXYS' BODY wraps for absorption...

You may replace a move with METEOR BEAM for free.


However, before the alien can absorb the core completely, 's DOUBLADE interferes. The sword Pokemon clashes with the alien, and in the resulting struggle, manages to take advantage of the freefall of chaos.[break][break]

The Councilman's MIMIKYU peels off a layer of its disguise using its spectral claw. In between 's DOUBLADE and 's DEOXYS is a frayed, patchy cloth with limp stitched together ears rather than a DEOXYS CORE. The MIMIKYU holds onto the core tightly, allowing to take it should he so desire.


FREEFALL



WINDS HOWL ACROSS EVERYONE'S FACES as the earth nears, whistling fragments of space rock and crystal scattering across the expanse. The following trainers are able to grasp a TERA SHARD into their hands: , , , , , , , , , , and . Luckily, manages to catch one too, but barely, as if possibility and chance itself has been brute-forced into her favor.[break][break]

The descent is a dramatic countdown in and of itself. 's ARTICUNO swoops into save —but it is who requires the most help. As a crystal shard slips through her fingers, she's caught with icy wing.[break][break]

However, EVERYONE WOULD BE ABLE TO WITNESS A HORRIFYING TRANSFORMATION TRANSPIRE MID-AIR. From the broken PRISON BOTTLE, 's HOOPA SHIFTS INTO ITS TRUE FORM. It is a massive behemoth, filled to the brim with power. Several disembodied forearms float around it, able to conjure rings and grab those in danger...

The UNBOUND HOOPA will prove to be INSTRUMENTAL in preventing death and injury to those falling. However, his RELEASE COMES WITH A PRICE unbeknownst to and anyone else witnessing its release.


and his two passengers reach the earth with the help of and his UNBOUND HOOPA's intervention. Similarly, by her PROTECTING POIPOLE, allows the HOOPA to catch her too. Her plea to the other CRESSELIA falls on deaf ears perhaps, but who knows with the unraveling of brane and string?[break][break]

is spared too. Although his AEGISLASH is summoned in the nick of time, his safety is secured by the guiding hand of 's partner. On CHARIZARD, is rescued from the harsh descent. She utilizes the HOOPA'S HOOP, yoinked through safely by the mischievous djinn's hand. is snatched too as a shard remains frustratingly out of reach.[break][break]

Lastly, panics despite the warning, abruptly caught by 's HOOPA. and his Pokemon are caught too before it can EXTREME SPEED, for the HOOPA believes it to be a foolish move to accelerate the speed of one's descent to the hard, bone breaking ground.[break][break]

Others land without 's assistance. floats downward on his HAUNTER, while flies on his LATIOS: a master of Hoenn's skies. saves . With his TROPIUS, he is barely able to assist them, providing them leverage and deceleration enough for them to recalibrate for landing.[break][break]



Similarly, attempts the same with his JELLICENT. A massive WHIRLPOOL spawns from a point in the grassfield. It swirls up and outward like a great funnel, allowing them a softer and wetter landing, especially if they make use of an UNBOUND HOOPA RING.[break][break]

Nearby, adopts an unconventional approach. Using her KYOGRE, its innate powers allow the leviathan and its trainer to fall slower... but there is no promise of a soft and safe landing. However, should she choose to, she may follow 's unique route as well. As his SOLGALEO is summoned, he attempts what he has been unable to for so long: an ULTRA WORMHOLE.[break][break]



And behold, it works. A crackling rift emerges with blinding white lines fraying off from the grid of reality. It thrusts open—and is able to burst through. However, there is no window to Sea Hoenn that he can see, for the expansion of the worlds, the unraveling of the universe's webbing and knotting, has shifted places apart in unpredictable manners. Still, it confirms a theory: that WORMHOLE TRAVERSAL is possible—but perhaps, to a limited extent.[break][break]

The WORMHOLE reopens closer to the ground, allowing and anyone else like , safe passage to the earth.[break][break]

WITH RAYQUAZA'S APPEARANCE, would notice that her KYOGRE is unable to summon RAINS. Even if it were not intending it, she and the Pokemon would sense the stifled ability. In a way, the leviathan feels calmer, as if some of the burden of its primal energies have been alleviated...[break][break]



And while the pressures of the world are lifted from 's heart, the tears do not stop. Her blind faith, her steadfast ideals, pour forth from watery eyes. From her well of gratitude, her hand stretches out to grace the RAYQUAZA'S HEAD. Immediately, the golden circle glows around her palm; inside the Serpent's body, the MIKADO ORGAN pulses like the strongest heart.[break][break]

Energy pours into her. Overrides her SYGNA SUIT with the newest benediction:[break]

EVERYONE LANDS SAFELY in the end. As alights on the rescued earth with her newfound partner, she is unaware of the covert dramas developing. 's KYOGRE recognizes the RAYQUAZA as Hoenn's; yet, is it possible that the leviathan had wanted the serpent to have been killed all along?[break][break]

Similarly, unbeknownst to , , and , possesses a synthetic artifact that threatens the balance of power. One pilfered from another world...


LANDING



FINALLY, EVERYONE IS OFFERED RESPITE. Catching their breath by injured Pokemon and Ultra Beast, there is a sense of surrealness that tempers the palate. To stand on Hoenn's soil, liberated from invisible dome and imminent doom, is a reality that takes time to settle.[break][break]

Yet, some may be skeptical. After all, during their descent, everyone would have been able to witness the shifting of planes. How alternate worlds or timelines or dimensions, whatever they might have been, overlapped and overlaid themselves over this tested place. The displacement of new species, new phenomena, have changed this world... and have linked it to others through PRIMAL POINT RIFTS. The chessboard has been flipped.[break][break]

Nearby, a SQUAWKABILLY cries.

Dr. Holo speaks little, choosing to conserve her energy. But she does not seem too fussed about her predicament.[break][break]

Fissures spread across the point of most pressure before the peak bursts, revealing a terrifying jaw sealed by forever ice and piercing yellow eyes.[break][break]



As its frigid skull presses against the realm, frigid winds from its desolate dimension billow forth like death knells. A GLACIATE spreads across the GRASSLAND. It freezes the SQUAWKABILLY as it attempts to flee, stretched wings encased in ice; however, its iced form does not fall. Instead, it remains upright, glued to the branch it was perched on, for the tree is frozen solid as well.[break][break]

To say Matt wanted to scream the minute he was touched by some God hand was an understatement. Rage grew as he punched it out of pure adrenaline pumping through him. Though once they were safely placed down, annoyance came highly. The whole thing was starting to wear on the young 20 year old. To be shot by your own team, switch, and try to stop something like this and failed- he felt sick.

He wanted to take some of the rage out. No, he was better than that. Don't subsume to that, he told himself. Looking around, he looked for . Spotting him not far away, he rushed towards him without a second though. All the stuff around him was just noise as he rushed to his partner- limping the whole time. Once he had made sure Nico was not injured, he looked around to glare at the scene.

As the icy air struck, his eyes went wide as the incoming Pokemon. So, it had to be Ice, right? Returning Oto to his ball, he threw out Nana and Kazzy. The two shines howled, looking before them at the monster that stood before them. Nana locked eyes with the beast, howling at it- issuing a challenge to the ice-dragon.

Kazzy held back, looking at his trainer for sure- he was a little scared. He saw Nico was here, but no or . He hoped they were okay! but he would follow Nana's lead- snarling towards the dragon and stomping his feet, releasing a wolf howl as he threw his claws in the air, obviously showing off to get it's attention.

As the attack neared them, Matt cursed. "Rock Slide! Create a shield!" He barked at Kazzy, the werewolf howling as he slammed his fists into the ground below, causing a pillar of rock to shoot up in front of them.

A desperate look was shot to his fiance, going over to him and taking his hands. A worried look came over his face, leaning in to kiss his future husband deeply. "If we don't make it out of this, I love you." He said, giving him another kiss.

His eyes shot towards Nana. "Go over the top of the shield and use Flare Blitz!" The canine raced up the rock that jutted out in hopes to protect it's humans, her maw blazing with red heat as she roared over the top to send the blast straight for the icy demon that threatened her family!

The core is gone. Deoxys notices almost immediately the absence of the soul. Hissing, it quickly releases the Doublade and retakes its humanoid form. Not again. Sapphire orbs frantically dart to the owner of the invasive cloth. [break][break]

It will not escape.[break][break]

Like the forboding chime of a ship bell warning sailors of an encroaching storm, Deoxys wails an ear-piercing screech and zips after Mimikyu. Anger. Fury. These words fail to describe the emotion in its chest. For it is a rage as alien as it.[break][break]

No bond was needed for Killian to know things hadn't gone as planned. He growled, upper lip raised in a snarl. The underboss thought to blame , but a gut instinct held him back. No, played a hand in whatever went wrong.[break][break]

Still falling, feet first, Killian released his Metagross and positioned himself on its back. The steel goliath shook, almost knocking him off, but Killian caught himself before falling. [break][break]

The underboss set his sights on as he neared the ground. Kyurem could wait until he had what was his.[break][break]

Killian gave no shout, no yell - no battle cry. His rage was a quiet storm. A cold chill not unlike the one blowing in around him. Pointed like an arrow, Killian aimed that tempest at Fernando and fired. He jumped from Metagross's back, away from Fern's line of sight, and camouflaged himself. [break][break]

A second later, Metagross would Mega Evolve and bee-lined for Fernando. It brought its four mighty limbs to bear on Mimkyu in a powerful METEOR MASH. [break][break]

Deoxys halted in the air above, tentacles writhing violently. Paying little attention to its ally, the alien gathered power, preparing to unleash a ICE BEAM upon Fernando. [break][break]

But truthfully, the attacks were little more than a distraction. Subterfuge for a blow of the intimate variety. Killian circled around to Fernando's back and moved to tackle him to the ground. He'd go for the core in the fall or beat Silph bloody until he had it.[break][break]

Andrea thought she was a goner for sure, until she was rescued by an angel sent from heaven, who scooped her up in his strong, angelic arms. Actually, upon second glance, this was no angel. It was… “Mr. Lars?!” The girl cried out, still flabbergasted.

With a bit of help from a friendly, totally not evil djinn, the group was transported safely into a scenic grassy field, where it appeared as if their troubles were over… for a time. The young PokéManiac took a moment to get her bearings, realizing that her space helmet was gone. She pulled down the zipper of her protective suit and retrieved her glasses from the convenient hammerspace that was her cleavage, putting them on.

It wasn’t long before Chomper caught up to them, having flown back to the surface with such haste, it surprised even himself. Still, his impressive feat wasn’t costless. The effects of Terastallization having worn off, the shiny Hydreigon plopped unceremoniously onto the ground, collapsing from sheer exhaustion.

“Chomper, you’re alive! We’re all alive!” Andrea scooted up to her loyal partner, giving him a big ol’ hug. “You were so awesome when you were all sparkly, and gem-like, and shooting beams and stuff! I love you, Chomper!” She kissed the top of the Hydreigon’s middle head, causing the fatigued dragon to instantly perk up and lick her face in return.

Returning Chomper into his Pokéball for some well-deserved rest, the bespectacled maiden turned to , smiling at him with gratitude. “You were pretty awesome too, Mr. Lars! The way you caught me in the air, it was like you were flying!” She remarked with a soft laugh. Humans flying. What an absurd notion.

Speaking of people who were awesome, she couldn’t help but ogle at with her mouth gaping in awe. There was no mistaking it, that was definitely Lord Rayquaza by her side. The great dragon god seemed perfectly pacified, almost like… “Ms. Eva. Don’t tell me she--”

Their celebratory respite was disrupted by a violent tear through the fabric of dimensions, followed by a roaring snowstorm. The hero-devouring beast Kyurem encroached upon their world.

Beholding the beast’s pupil-less eyes, Andrea’s heart froze with fear; a fear of the unknown. As a PokéManiac, she subscribed to the school of thought that every Pokémon, no matter how ferocious, was a living creature worthy of admiration and cherishing. Yet that thing did not move or act like a living creature. “That Pokémon is empty…” The girl muttered under her cold breath.

Thinking on her feet as usual, the young woman hurled two balls forward. “Meatloaf, Huggles, go!” She shouted, calling forth a Salamence and a Dragonite respectively. Removing one of her gloves, she revealed a shining ring around her wedding finger with a Key Stone attached. “Meatloaf, it’s time for Mega Evolution!”

Infinity Energy coalesced around the azure dragon in the form of a large egg, shattering open to unveil his powered-up form to the world. With his wings fused together into a blood-red crescent, Mega Meatloaf rushed audaciously towards Kyurem, aiming a defiant Double-Edge at the icy dragon’s oversized jaw. At the same time, Huggles backed him up by summoning a mighty Hurricane to hopefully blow the freezing cold air back into the hole whence it came.

What a fool’s errand…

Much like the pompadour-sporting parrot before him, the crescent-winged dragon was frozen solid by Kyurem’s Glaciate, stuck eternally in his Mega Evolved form. “Meatloaf…” Andrea collapsed on her knees, utterly struck with grief. Her anguished wails filled the frigid battlefield. “MEATLOAAAAAAAAF!!!!!”

The two had touched down safely, Josh sliding off Articuno's back. Under more peaceful circumstances, going for a flight on the Iceborne Mirage's back would be a blast. It would also be almost ideal practice for handling the PRESSURE of a legendary mount's Aura. His experience today thrust more weight onto his shoulders. Perhaps was right. Perhaps the racer was getting in over his head. He switched to a private channel to converse with Lars and . "Head Ranger, Director... once we've both decompressed, I want to have another talk with you. About today, and about the whole Raikou thing."

Was this hesitancy? Second thoughts, even? He had studied the destruction the Johto Beasts and Swords of Justice could wreak during his time at Ecruteak University. Witnessing it first-hand, though, was totally different. He had the past experience of feeling helpless at the paws of 's Entei in the Battle Arcade. That was in a controlled environment with League-standard safety protocols enabled, and Entei's vast power was able to overwhelm even those. Seeing their unbridled fury shook his faith. Even if he were to succeed in his chase, was the cost worth it? How many lives, human and Pokémon, would be upended by his reckless, perhaps even foolish, chase of the electric Beast whose voice he heard in his dreams may not even have been authentic?

He had no time to reminisce; through a rift in the dimensional fabric popped a Pokémon Josh had never seen before, from it a burst of unearthly cold. It made being next to Articuno feel warm by comparison. There was no dodging this, as the GLACIATE spread in all directions. The Leader's one saving grace was that he was far away. He had time to react. "Twilight and Janus!" Josh cried as he grounded the two Poké Balls, the Absol and Espeon appearing next to him. He pinched his fingers above where the KEY STONE of his MEGA GLOVE was located beneath his space suit, the light of MEGA EVOLUTION transforming Twilight into her ultimate form. Though she could not fly, the tufts of fur spreading from her sides made her resemble a quadrupedal angel.



"Push that thing back with PSYCHO CUT, but stay near me!" Josh commanded. "Janus, use PROTECT!" The racer and his two Pokémon, all three of them huddled around Articuno, hunkered down to withstand the attack. Perhaps Articuno would be able to deflect some of the ice and cold away from them. Glowing a deep purple, Twilight flung a ranged psychic blade toward Kyurem before she and her trainer took cover behind the PROTECT shield the Espeon projected. Before the psychic-type could fully get his shield up, the latent cold burst preceding the GLACIATE caused the white quadruped's ABSOLITE to SHATTER.

Twilight's MEGA STONE has been destroyed by Kyurem's GLACIATE. Her MEGA EVOLUTION will end after this post, and cannot Mega Evolve again until Josh finds a replacement Absolite. This will require completion of a social or mission thread to research locations of Absolite, followed by a second social or mission thread to recover the Absolite from a researched location.

they’d found but she was apparently being too stubborn to let him save her life, choosing instead to wail at her garchomp in an attempt to get it to take flight. “ruby! you’re going to d-- oh, never mind. cool.”

Pluto shifted his master to his other arm and hovered close to Ruby, because there was safety in numbers and because the Beheeyem wanted to be at hand should her Garchomps flight gear give out and send her pitching downward.

there’s a deep warbling noise and suddenly hoopa is there-- but real hoopa, not the little fun version they sell plushies of at carnival games. kepler looks up at the massive creature as it balances its rings better than a circus performer.

he hopes he’s getting this all on camera. distantly he wonders where the deoxys core ends up, figuring probably grabbed it in the end. it didn’t so much matter because he’d planned to turn it over to the Rocket science division anyhow.

but they had more important things to worry about.

he catches the tail end of getting yeeted into space connected to the weird white haired ninja lady. darkrai-- fucking darkrai has them covered, though.

Pluto and Kepler descend towards the earth, surrounded on all sides by other falling bodies and the strange universal fragmentation that has turned the Hoenn region into a Turducken of timelines. Kepler frowns at his empty hands, bitterly amazed at his survival and yet this apparent continued tradition of coming away from big events with nothing to show for it.

when is he going to figure out what this stupid region wants from him to get anywhere in life?!

as his feet touch down not far from his bodyguard and he tries not to cry from-- from everything-- when fucking kyurem appears

"primus on a pony,” kepler shouts, throwing up an arm to shield his eyes from the terribly cold whipping winds. “can’t i catch a fucking break!?”

Pluto throws up a protect around Kepler, Ruby, and Ruby’s Garchomp, cutting the wind down enough for Kepler to chuck Arbalest’s Pokeball towards the massive ice dragon.

"We who are about to die salute you!”

The Poliwrath aims a powerful Mega Kick right between that asshole’s eyes.

Mint's body is on overdrive, surviving being shot into another time line, a space alien, and the League's fucking legendaries to boot. Though, he'd stayed out of the way on that mostly. He's not a thrill seeker by any means, and even his brief racing bout against had been a miserable experience, but that's training. This is real. This is life or death and his life depended on him making the right calls and his pokemon being up to the task. And they had succeeded beautifully. Saddle pouches successfully guarded jealously the tera crystals he'd managed to fish out of the air. [break][break]

His superior officer, for all intents and purposes, lay safely in his arms. Though, perhaps there was a the barest of trembling., whether that was the adrenaline or the effort of holding the Beast, he would never clarify. Adrenaline 100%. As they come down, the landscape ripples with wormholes and portals. Beautiful vistas to other worlds, lands, times bubble up beautifully. [break][break]

Briefly, he forgets his own mortality and the region's own demise. The vice grip on loosened slightly as red eyes are overtaken with the wanderlust. Mint doesn't shrink form the mystery of the unknown, but instead seemed enthralled by it in the high of this whole situation. Agretti landed, roughly but stable enough. vines unwrap and release the Genesect, and Mint's arms finally are allowed to rest with a sigh and a whine. He popped off the helmet, releasing blonde locks and tightening the wig's ponytail. He's sweating bullets this close to the surface. [break][break]

He would regret ever thinking he was hot. Before his pokemon can ready to defend from the League's finest that had frantically free fallen onto a far down field, the air changes. [break][break]

He'd only recently been discussing this beast with a month and some change ago? Ever since he'd seen a simulation of the creature in 's gym. He'd just been curious. He'd barely touched a fraction of the information on the legendary dragon. His gaze is locked and it hurts to breath. It's cold. So, so cold. At some point he'd pulled out the spy glasses had given him and began recording. Maybe a signal would reach the submarine? But then again, most troops were involved in the operation. He takes in the dragon all the same, horrified expression morphing into a nervous grin. He'd only been half joking about watching that thing devour Zekrom. Now it's here, and the electric dragon's avatar is missing. [break][break]

The deep freeze came and Agretti let out a cry, snapping his trainer out of his thoughts of insignificance of the universe. The fear of his own mortality hitting Mint thrice as hard after being away for the past half hour. "Cover Rocket!" he shouted, sapping Agretti the Tropius for Straciatella the Abomasnow. The dual type slammed down wit ha mighty howl, her presence itself bringing forth a chill and HAIL that isn't as painful at Kyurem's. But Mint is still shivering violently, hugging himself in an attempt to conserve heat. As his Abomasnow drops another AURORA VEIL for the He lets out his other combatant, an Aggron rushing further and slamming down on the field. [break][break]

"You better be leading the charge Bucatini!" he shouted as his hand moved up to a delicate earring that began to glow with rainbow colored energy. she resonated with her trainer, a piece of her armor glowing with matching energy before it enveloped her in rays of light that seemed to move like ribbons, cocooning her. Her form grows and changes and Mint tried to stay focused. "Let's see if you're heavier than god!" he said as his mega evolved Aggron charged forward before yeeting herself into the air once she was close enough and aiming to fall on the dragon's icy head with HEAVY SLAM. Oscar spent most of his fall trying to clear his head. The focus of maintaining a calm demeanor was the only thing keeping him from screaming like a small child as he hurdled to his death. If he was going to die, he would rather die with dignity. Yet that was not his fate, not yet anyway. A large form appeared and caught Oscar like he was a tumbling toddler. Blinking, Oscar looked up to find to be his savior. Oscar let out a long sigh of relief, his entire body going slack as the tension built within melted away.

While Mint was looking down, Oscar's gaze remained skyward. He watched the stars slowly fade as shards of the meteor fell like rain. Seeing the shards made Oscar realize that something pointy was pressing against his clenches fist. Opening it, he would find that he had successfully caught one of the ore shards! Satisfied, Oscar tucked it into his suit and waited patiently to land. He would find himself trying to look at anything beside Mint, as the Beast felt rather embarrassed about having to be rescued in such a manner.

When Mint's tropius landed, Oscar would roll out of Mint's grasp and onto the ground. He pulled himself quickly, looking around to confirm Genesect's safety. Genesect was found unharmed, having been saved by tropius's vines. It had at some point during the fall gained the opportunity to hover--but it decided to be carried down instead because watching the tropius struggle to hold it up was---amusing? Yes, it felt amused. How rare for it to feel anything.

Oscar put out his fist toward Genesect, who tapped it gingerly with its claw. It was their special 'good job' gesture. "Good work, get some rest." Oscar withdrew Genesect, stretching as he embraced the moment of peace. Oscar would rather awkwardly rest his eyes on Mint as the latter removed his helmet. Oscar gulped, realizing that he owed Mint his life and should probably thank him. It was not easy to come to terms with this, as Oscar had trouble feeling gratitude or expressing affection. Yet if anyone deserved some sort of hug of thanks, it was Mint. Oscar very quickly embraced Mint from behind, pulling away almost immediately as his entire body turned red under his spacesuit and helmet. "Thank you..." He said flatly, hesitating as he tried to think of more to say.

He would be saved by the sudden appearance of yet another apocalypse, because one was just not enough for today. Oscar whipped around as a massive hole in space and time opened, releasing what had to be one of the largest pokemon Oscar had every seen. Well he assumed it was a pokemon, the creature looked more like some sort of mythical monster. As biting wind grasped the grassland he and the other meteor invaders had landed upon, and if something was not done soon they would certainly be frozen solid.

Oscar grabbed two pokeballs and opened them to release his Naganadel named Robbie Rotten and Blaziken named Grievous. Keeping close to Mint to take advantage of his Aura Veil, Oscar would raise his hand as a ring that adorned it flashed with light. Grievous resonated with it, being enveloped by a cocoon of light and burst forth as Mega-Blaziken.



Shivering rather harshly himself, Oscar pointed toward the emerging monstrosity. "Go ahead and welcome this ff-f-fucker to our p-p-planet!" Grievous did an graceful spin, swords of energy emerging from thin air to clash with each other before being absorbed into his body (Sword Dance). With a boosted attack, Grievous charged into battle, attempting to kick the mountain sized dragon in the face (Blaze Kick).

Robbie Rotten, the most devilish pokemon alive, trembled against the might of the cold. Yet despite his discomfort, the crafty pokemon saw a delightful opportunity for mischief (Nasty Plot). Empowered by his machinations, Robbie decided to bide his time and engage the creature. Staying near its master, Robbie opened his mouth and unleashed a might stream of fire toward the icy dragon (Fire Blast). If all went well, Robbie would find the perfect opportunity to perform his cruel little prank...

Ruby looked at what was left of the Meteno Deoxys just in time to see 's Doublade clashing with Decker's own Deoxys for the core. She tried to facepalm, only to be met with a physical reminder that she was still wearing a space helmet. "Kepler, what the hell are you doing?" she asked on their private channel, too stunned to even raise her voice. Holy hell, Decker was going to kill the scientist for that one, and Ruby wasn't going to guard his ass when he did. For now, though, she could at least keep an eye on him and his Beheeyem to make sure they didn't fall or something.

[break][break]Her hand grasped something solid, and she grinned to herself when she realized she'd nabbed one of those weird crystals. She still wasn't sure what they were, but they'd somehow made Arachne transform into a completely different type, and that seemed like something worth holding onto.

[break][break]She could only watch as Hoopa transformed into its legendary true form. It seemed more focused on helping people not fall to their deaths instead of using those many arms to attack, but it was still unsettling to look at. It brimmed with power, and Ruby didn't know what it could—or would—use that power for. She turned her gaze to Rayquaza and the one riding atop it, . She couldn't see the transfer of power from where she was, but the fact that the head professor was riding that Legendary Pokémon had to mean something.

[break][break]Ruby held tighter to Delphi and squeezed her eyes shut as the Earth grew closer. In her weakened state, Delphi wasn't able to make a smooth landing, leaving Ruby grunting as she was jostled. It wasn't as bad as when she'd landed on the meteoroid, though. She opened her eyes to see that they'd landed in some sort of grassy field. Around her, other members of Rocket and the League alike touched down in various ways, all seeming to have avoided major harm. That, of course, included ; that Beheeyem of his was stronger than it looked.

[break][break]"Holy shit," Ruby whispered. "We're alive."

[break][break]She slid off her groaning Garchomp's back and, not caring about her tough-girl image for once, gently stroked her Pokémon's rough hide. Delphi rumbled, still displeased about being left out of the fighting but too tired to do anything about it. Besides, this petting thing felt kinda nice. Trainer and Pokémon caught their breath, Hoenn's soil firmly beneath them. They'd made it. They'd gone into space, stood on a meteor, taken a piece of it, and made it back to Earth in one piece. It didn't feel real.

[break][break]The cry of some kind of bird caught Ruby's attention. She'd never seen one like it before; it looked like it had a pompadour on its head. What the heck was it? She remembered the shifting of dimensions she'd seen from above. Maybe that had something to do with this thing's appearance. She didn't know. She didn't care enough to think about it. Dr. Holo gave what sounded like sarcastic praise, and if Ruby had the energy, she would have gotten up and kicked the woman.

[break][break]Instead, she looked at Kepler again. He honestly didn't look too great. Physically, he seemed unhurt, but he looked like... well, like someone who had just gone through that entire hell and wanted to scream about it. Same, though, Ruby thought. But this wasn't the time for that, not with the League right nearby. With a grunt, Ruby pulled herself to her feet.

[break][break]"Hey," she said to . "You o—?"

[break][break]CRACK!

[break][break]The sound that shattered their respite was so powerful that it made Ruby visibly flinch. She spun around to where the fabric of reality was being clawed through, heart dropping into her stomach. A sharp jaw sealed by ice. Piercing yellow eyes. And a gale of frigid winds from a desolate dimension that her still-donned spacesuit barely protected her against.

[break]"Fuck that, I'm not dying now!" Ruby recalled Delphi back into her Ball and tossed out two more in its stead. "Arachne, help with the Protect! Cerberus, get ready! Flamethrower!"

[break][break]If there was ever a time to break out her shiny new toy, it was now. Ruby clenched her left fist, and power began to coalesce into the metallic bracelet she wore on that wrist. That power burst from the Key Stone embedded in the accessory, and the Houndoominite around Cerberus's neck reacted and engulfed him in a flaming red light. The Houndoom began to transform, his horns and the bony growths on his body growing bigger, sharper, and more dangerous.

[break][break]The light burst from his body, revealing his Mega form. Without a moment of hesitation, he opened his mouth, gathered all of the fire burning in his body there, and shot out the most powerful Flamethrower he could muster. Meanwhile, Arachne hunkered down with Ruby and and focused her power on adding to Pluto's Protect.

[break][break]But even with Mega Evolution on Cerberus's side, it wasn't enough. The Flamethrower staved off the Glaciate for a little while, but it couldn't withstand a blizzard summoned by a god forever. Ruby gasped sharply when she saw that Cerberus was faltering. She remembered the sight of that bird frozen to the tree it had tried to fly from.

[break][break]"CERBERUS, GET BACK!"

[break][break]But the Houndoom didn't back down. His Mega Stone glowed with intense energy as he poured everything he had into his attack. Arachne cried out, begging him to join them in the Protect bubble. But he still didn't move. His Mega Stone fell into the falling snow, and he began to revert back to his normal form. Even still, he persisted.

[break][break]"CERBERUS!"

[break][break]This time, he did move, but only to turn his head just enough for Ruby to see one of his eyes. In that instant, Ruby could see every ounce of determination still burning within him, his gratitude for all she'd done for him... and his silent apology for not being strong enough. The blizzard washed over him.

when darkrai’s claws had brought them close to the ground, she reached for a pokéball. a telepathic beheeyem would force an imprison on its moves, in case any more unown friends decided to play rescuer. as they landed, lulu announced over comms:[break][break]
”this is flint. i have dr. holo.” and at the drk triad member's congratulations, the scientist sneered, ”you were always suspicious.”[break][break]
so as to not draw attention like before, darkrai released them and sank away into the shadows. in its place, a metagross was sent out, with the intention of holding dr. holo down with paired telekinetic forces. instead, the computer reacted quickly to the suddenly oncoming glaciate, leaning its body like a shield against the ice and flashing with an iron defense.[break][break]
for a brief second, lulu's eyes darted for the likes of , or , wondering if they’d landed nearby, threatened to be caught in the wave of icy doom. she pulled dr. holo behind their cover, perhaps just in time. the metagross froze over.[break][break]
feeling the searing cold from behind them, lulu hissed and cursed, watching all the things that froze past them across the land with a sour glare. their fight clearly wasn’t over yet.[break][break]

Whelp. No meteorite for her. Violet could do little more than watch her Pokemon fail to get a chunk of it, even as they were whisked away by some Pokemon she did not know. Probably some kind of avatar Pokemon. Those were everywhere in situations like this. There had even been some training in that regard, one of the benefits of serving under one herself. Though, she had completely lost track of where that one was. Or anyone else, given that she was busy not getting dizzy from the whole falling from the sky thing. There was a lot of stuff happening all around them, too, reflections of…different parts of the world? Different worlds? She did not know. It felt kind of similar to what had happened back under the sea.

She would try to make sense of all that later. For now, landing. The strange Pokemon made for a weird mode of transportation, but at least it just kind let them down, let them go.
That was good.

Then another Poke-god appeared and threatened them all. Less….good. The air all but immediately seemed to freeze over, to the point where she felt a chill even though her suit was supposed to keep her reasonably warm in space of all things. Whatever this was, it was much, much too cold to handle.

Once again, Violet had no idea what this was. Though the Pokemon itself looked amazing. But given that it was ostensibly trying to freeze everything, there was no point trying to think things over. She would not mind the stupid league freezing over, but she had friends of hers here, to say nothing of, well, her own body. Which would not make for a good popsicle at all. “Try another Hyper Beam, Mawhile,” she ordered the little one which was visibly straining to maintain the form of a mega, but equally unwilling to just power down at such a crucial point in time.

Additionally, her Aegislash sprang forth from its ball once more. Despite its wounds, it wanted to do its best to defend her and those standing near her still, once more applying its King’s Shield.

+ mopes about lack of meteorite, lands thanks to hoopa, mawile manages to stay in mega due to rolling above 20 on the roll for that, uses Hyper Beam at the opposing Pokemon and the ice wave, Aegislash comes back to King's Shield and try to defend

Her fingertips brushed the edge of the mineral. Her knuckles bent. Her hand pulled. Her arm strained.[break][break]
Against all odds, wind whipping her hair, Nomi managed to grasp onto a Tera Crystal Shard and hold it tight against her chest as she and Trillium descended. Eternally grateful, Nomi felt tears of pure exertion and relief - and probably also from the wind - stream from her eyes as they landed with a soft thump.[break][break]
The pink-haired scientist stared down at the crystal, at its immense beauty, and immediately felt a victorious surge of excitement: she had done it. She had recovered something from the meteor that mattered. She and and others would be able to do countless experiments with it. The mission had been a success.[break][break]
The sounds of a nearby skirmish caught Nomi's attention, and her head snapped up. was nearby, seemingly mostly unharmed, a massive Metagross standing over the white-haired assassin woman Lulu had been trying to apprehend. Whomever this woman was, she was important it seemed: someone Rocket desperately wanted in their possession. Nomi's curiosity spiked, as did her desire to help Lulu capture the woman. Lulu was someone Nomi trusted - someone who could continue to help Nomi achieve her own goals - and so she wasn't about to stand idly by as her mentor fought a Rocket adversary.[break][break]
Nomi swiftly recalled Trillium - but not before briefly patting his head in thanks - and then released Magnolia, her Minccino. The little mouse looked up expectantly, and Nomi took off running to Lulu’s position.[break][break]
Nomi just caught the end of something Lulu was saying about suspicion, but it hardly mattered. Ensuring the white-haired woman could not get away was paramount. "Incapacitate that woman," Nomi commanded of Magnolia. The Minccino squeaked and then began to SING. Hopefully it would be enough to put the strange assassin - and any lingering Unown - to sleep.[break][break]
A terrible roaring crack sounded then, like lightning striking right next to Nomi's ear, and the young woman yelped in alarm. She looked around frantically, suddenly spotting the terrifying shape of a Kyurem on the grasslands before them. With barely any time to think, Nomi released Saffron again. Without needing the situation explained - he could feel the threatening cold, after all - the Whimsicott quickly put up a COTTON GUARD around Nomi, , and Dr. Holo. Seconds later, the NEVER-MELT ICE struck them, icicles like needles against their skin.[break][break]

And in a rare stroke of good fortune for her, Elaine's hand had enclosed the fragment she had reached out for. Whatever that crystal was, it was now safely enclosed in her hand enough for her to press her hand back against Tiamat's back as the dragon let out a burst of sound beneath them. Though it was a rocky descent with a major deceleration, it was enough for the Flygon to gain full flight maneuverability as it took Elaine and Titania down to the ground safely.

As Elaine finally found herself placing her feet on the ground, finally being enraptured by the normal pull of earthen gravity, she recalled Tiamat, once again to let it rest before putting the still Mega-Evolved Titania back down on the ground.

It was a moment of respite. A moment to take a breath. As Elaine placed a button on the side of her helmet to allow the glass to slide up and unveil her face, she stowed the crystal she had caught away.

The dome above them had become a thing of the past. The meteorite threatening imminent erasure of everything within that dome had fallen to pieces. All that was left behind was the sight of distortions above as the world seemed to almost be correcting in response to the new change.

It was beautiful in a way. Something Elaine was almost grateful to watch despite the surreal nature of it all.

But that respite once again was far from protracted as the fabric of reality above the group of now landed people and Pokemon was torn apart by an ungodly creature of pure ice.

It still isn't over?! Her eyes widened as her hand shifted back to her helmet allowing it to once again give full protection from the elements, at least the best it could.

Mawile would revert back to its regular form soon. There was not time. Before that ungodly abomination could unleash a frozen apocalypse onto everyone in the region, they had to force it back.

"TITANIA! USE IRON HEAD AGAIN! ASTRAPE, SUPPORT HER WITH WILD CHARGE!"

The Luxray in the new Pokeball she had taken into her hand flew out as it joined Mawile and the rest of the Pokemon in the charge towards the enemy before them.

And yet...

for most, hoopa was accommodating. it grasped them in its clutch only to release them onto solid ground, wherever another was not occupied.

but for others such as , hoopa was not so kind, gripping them with a slight

SQUEEZE

before tossing them haphazardly a few meters above ground level.

a sigh is breathed as more and more safely make their way down, without harm coming to the majority of them. kim soon hooped the ground level after the descent of others as hoopa itself entered its own dimension, recalling itself after providing its assistance.

though respite was short lived, as the repercussions of their actions came to fruition, much faster than kim hoped it would.

then again, nothing was guaranteed to pan out as perfectly as envisioned.

the biting cold only nipped at first, but then came a torrent of wind, icy and wholly engulfing it its freezing blanket.
