WITH PALKIA'S APPEARANCE, the RESOLUTE KELDEO is able to fend off the rest of the Iron Paradoxes marching throughout the bloodstained snow. Despite its newfound confidence, the heroic equine is shaken by the loss littered around it. Heroism comes at the price of innocence. In Hoenn, naivety is but an endangered species. A limping lamb dripping blood trails for wolves to devour.[break][break]

As carnage broils all around the snowfield, the PALKIA struggles to cleave the WHITE KYUREM apart. Despite its mastery over space, this draconic fusion has devoured divine powers. Intergenerational myth. Legends whispered and heralded across time and space. To separate the RESHIRAM from its icy cage is seemingly a Sisyphean task as the KYUREM continually refreezes itself together.[break][break]

To make matters worse, the WHITE KYUREM'S ETERNAL ICE contests those who oppose it. Sharp spears of ice soar and pursue those who attempt to erode its strength... or attempt to eradicate it from the devastated shape of this universe. Despite the Spatial Pokemon's presence, it is clear that the combined efforts of all are crucial to overcoming the dragon of eternal ice.[break][break]

The PALKIA realizes that it must require another source, another prong of attack in order to undo the KYUREM'S FUSION. After all, it is not one being. But two.[break][break]

Spears of ice surround the PALKIA and illeana reyes, cycling around them like revving saws...[break][break]

The iridescent scent of spatial meddling is familiar to the pink dragon. It has seen her. Studied her. And so, it bestows a part of itself to her with a brilliant flash of light as illeana reyes's allies protect them.

Illeana receives the following perks:

With increased spatial awareness, Illeana can absorb, create, convert, and harness spatial energy, converting it into enhanced physical abilities, energy blasts, spatial rends, waves of spatial distortion, and/or protective barriers.[break][break]

Similarly, induce spatial erosion in the environment, causing structures, objects, or people to break down over time. This effect is weaker on people and Pokemon (beings with souls).

Illeana is able to manipulate the fabric of space to allow for swift movement, strategic positioning, or relocation to another location (within reason). However, she will not be able to transport herself and others to other alternate universes or dimensions without the real Palkia's presence, approval, and ability.
[break][break]

Illeana can manipulate the spatial properties within a limited area around her. For example, she can create zones where up becomes down and left becomes right, disorienting all those within excluding her.

Illeana can temporarily take on the properties of the space around her, becoming intangible or gaining the characteristics of different environments.
[break][break]

You may add THE SHARD OF PALKIA to your personal computer and choose its moves like a gachapon pokemon.

illeana reyes's HEALING MIST ability will now disappear. Furthermore, Eva Morales and illeana reyes's joint custody over the League's MEW will now end. The MEW will be in general League custody for now.[break][break]

SEPARATION

AS Remiel Calcifet SOARS TOWARD THE KYUREM, the planet eater opens its gigantic maw. The Royal would feel an unnerving sensation tug at him as the WHITE KYUREM'S jaws near. Perhaps, it is the INFINITY ENERGY of ZEKROM present inside him. An integral part of his physiology... Would devouring him bring about the same consequences as a ZEKROM being fused too?[break][break]

However, his quick thinking with his LIGHTNING JAVELIN—and the serendipitous timing of PALKIA, illeana reyes, KELDEO & HIS FELLOW SWORD(S) OF JUSTICE, and everyone's rebellion against fate, save him. Spatial energy tears the WHITE KYUREM apart. A blinding light expels from the KYUREM'S glacial sculpt as it snarls, its draconic vociferation resonant enough to crumble snowbanks and snap trees.[break][break]

The RESHIRAM is finally freed—but not in the form one would expect. Instead, the Dragon of Truth falls as a LIGHT STONE. MARILYN HASEGAWA's positioning by the KYUREM'S FEET proves pivotal. She catches the stone and secures it for TEAM ROCKET.

NOTE

THE LIGHT STONE will be in the general custody of Team Rocket.

A final push of power from the PALKIA and everyone's attacks forces the weakened KYUREM to stumble back into its DIMENSIONAL POCKET. The pink energy that had been coalescing upon the dimensional break's edges rapidly seal the rift with the KYUREM inside and repair the tear in space once again.[break][break]

Eventually, the PALKIA bestows a SHARD OF ITSELF to illeana reyes before departing for its own dimension of space. Should she ever need it, the Spatial Pokemon will heed her call.[break][break]

THE RESOLUTE KELDEO gallops around the icelands in celebration. Exhausted, the kelpie reverts to its ORIGINAL FORM, its magnificent horn now a humble point. However, the KELDEO'S DUTY HAS NOT CONCLUDED. With a grand whinny, the KELDEO gallops into the GIANT CHASM in case more threats lurk therein.

EPILOGUE

EVENTUALLY, your trainers depart The Silent Icelands. Whether they need to escape hostiles, nurse injuries, or tend to their Pokemon, everyone leaves with relief... and a modicum of dread. The KYUREM may have failed to obliterate Hoenn with its greedy maw and all-consuming ice, but there are surely larger threats ahead.[break][break]

Besides, the KYUREM still lives.[break][break]

Neon grins as Matcha manages to protect him from harm, taking only a glancing blow. With jayden cross coming in close second to feed Remiel Calcifet to t he beast and THEO BECKETT below offering his support, he's rejuvenated. As Jayden tries to end the traitor's life, something is happening with Kyurem, and Neon all but eagerly turns to watch the object of his research. [break][break]

White Kyurem is ripped apart, and Remiel Calcifet is saved from consumption. Palkia also manages to seal away Kyurem once more and Neon wondered how long it would last this time around? Especially without Hoopa to help it come back out. [break][break]

He's surprised Reshiram itself doesn't appear, staring dumbstruck, he watches a strange stone drop onto the ground before breaking out into a whoop of cheers as it lands near his Savior Granny. "Secure the stone! I'll cover you!" he shouted at MARILYN HASEGAWA, dive bombing and forgetting Remiel to set up defensive measures of the operative.

The bitter ICY TOUCH that jayden cross manages to deliver maliciously spreads across ZEKROM's scales to instill the BLACK YIN with HATRED. Its pupils enlarge and glow a threatening plasma blue as the dragon goes BERSERK and roars. Despite the haze of its rage, it remembers jayden cross from various training sessions with a ZERAORA it had learned to competitively despise.[break][break]

The fact the aforementioned ADMIN and the DRAGAPULT he rides are closest does not bode well for him at all. Summoning a powerful PSYCHIC aura, ZEKROM attempts to telekinetically seize the DRAGAPULT in place before pulling it apart.[break][break]

Its AVATAR, in the meantime, finds himself just a moment from becoming WHITE KYUREM's next snack. A DRACO METEOR summoned by THEO BECKETT and his NAGANADEL threatens to finish the job should the beast fail. An INFESTATION chases after him to scavenge the rest. The moment WHITE KYUREM snaps its jaws to capture him, however, Remiel TELEPORTS away instantaneously.[break][break]

Though not before feeling the UNNERVING SENSATION that manifests with his proximity to the grafted monstrosity. Unfortunately, there's little time for him to focus on that before he reappears where his LIGHTNING STILETTO had embedded itself: atop jayden cross and his shoulder. In the chaos of flailing limbs, the two fall from the DRAGAPULT's back and towards the earth far below like angels stripped of their grace and cast out of heaven.[break][break]

Not long into the scuffle, however, Remiel manages to seize jayden cross into a grapple from behind before hooking a hand beneath his mask and tearing it off. As PALKIA's power reaches a crescendo, tearing KYUREM apart at last, the EX-ADMIN fights to keep his former ally subdued.[break][break]

"LET EVERYONE SEE HOW CONSUMED YOU ARE BY YOUR HATRED, FOOL. YOU DON'T GET TO HIDE IT ANYMORE!"[break][break]

Her eyes gazed upward as the ethereal lights shone brightly from the maw and beyond, snow-ridden fractals leading her curiosity to distract from her prior earthquake that had consumed mechanical constructs. A spectacle that was difficult to refute getting caught up within; divine interventions were said to be once in a lifetime for the lucky souls when her mother would read her bedtime stories those seventy years ago. Not like she ever believed they could be true- she needed to see something like this to believe it, outside the rift that separated the ordinary from the spectral. And she saw it indeed, all the way until Kyurem was torn and eluded such immense pressure.[break][break]

Bracing herself upon the straps of the Golurk's belly as it tried to resist the vociferation, something that looked almost like a shooting star caught her eye. It was rapidly falling.. was this perhaps the soul of the dragon that was said to be on the inside, the source of the truths it wished to convey? ".. Ludwig..!" She spouted from the crackling maw of her own, flinging upward to allow her to snag it. Squealing merriments, her fingers wrapped around the beacon and snatched it out of the rain of white. And for just a moment, she stared into it, shocked at the feeling that resonated within the cracking walls of her elderly soul.[break][break]

It brought her back to the feeling of holding the tampered chalice and the bottle, the sensation that came with holding something so lethal, so imbued with power. The youth that she was forced to sign away. The cause of it. This time, she wished to use bearing such a task as a way to foster meaningful connections rather than cast them all away- allow all the others in the organization who made her feel truly respected, truly loved, to give into their desires. Before she could even think of rescuing him, a Ruination meant for Eva Morales and Rayquaza grazed Chomper's wings, inflicting a curse of decay that made his flight unstable. "Don't fall! Don't fall! Don't fa-a-a-a-all!"

As they slowly lost altitude, the young PokéManiac got to witness the conclusion of the greater conflict. With the help of its new avatar, Palkia and the Swords of Justice managed to finally separate the two dragons of legend--forcing the creator of the Silent Icelands back into its dimensional prison, while the stolen Reshiram reverted into a white sphere small enough to fit inside an old lady's purse.

Meatloaf swooped in to catch the falling duo. Filled with WORRY, Andrea activated her Sygna Suit anew, trying to heal her Hydreigon's decaying wings. They hardly had time to celebrate their victory over the devourer of heroes, when the two factions of Hoenn started feuding again over ownership of the Light Stone.

"STOP FIGHTING!!" The dragon-costumed girl shouted at the top of her lungs, more or less echoing John Sullivan's sentiment in a far less diplomatic tone. She was very much done with the whole ordeal. "We drove Kyurem off, and we did that together! We survived! Can't you just be content with that for once?!"

Meanwhile, her two draconic companions eyed jayden cross, Elisabeth Fiorelli, and their ruinous patrons with underlying hostility, feeling the hatred and grudges exuded by their respective avatarships.

"Aye." Preston nodded, though his brow furrowed slightly. "Yet we'll have to carry them on. We'll live on for those who're lost. For our sins. For our virtues."

Preston snarled at the Iron Crown. He didn't particularly care if he lived.. Death would be punishment enough for his crimes, but to live... that could lead to something more. It could lead to redemption for his crimes from his past. Preston had done evil things, but he had survived.

He had survived. The innocent had died.

Injustice.

"That's all we can do. When I live, I'm going to return to my restaurant. I'm over the battlefield." Preston hissed in pain as Fugu struck at the Iron Boulder again with Hydro Pump. After further damage, the machine folded and collapsed in on itself, grinding with rust.

"These can be caught?" Preston asked, Kyurem splintering in the background. "These are Pokémon?"

From his cursed time with Team Rocket, Preston had seen Pokémon he had never seen before due to his time. Paradoxes. Contradictions given form by delusion. They shouldn't even be allowed to exist, yet who was Preston Fugu to judge the existence of a walking anomaly? He was one himself, after all.

HATE fills every fiber of his being like frostbite. Despite condemning Jayden's submission to it, Remiel suddenly feels like he's become it. He HATES his former brother for putting him in this position. He HATES that he never found the guts to leave TEAM ROCKET and be his own man. He HATES that he placed such a great depth of faith in this man only to see it cast to the ground so easily.[break][break]

If this was what jayden cross wanted, clawing and choking each other every chance they got, then Remiel would put an end to it the only way his HATE knew how. It was why his body began to crackle with ELECTRICITY as they fell. It was why jayden cross retaliated with a blast of HATEFUL ICE in return. The sheer cold of it all burns, forcing the exiled prince to release him.[break][break]

When he sees Jayden's DRAGAPULT descend to swoop him away, however, Remiel scowls. "RUNNING THEN? CONCEALING YOUR IDENTITY ONCE MORE? YOU'RE A RAT, JAYDEN CROSS!" He casts a fury-filled LIGHTNING JAVELIN upward afterward, but it MISSES. Nevertheless, it serves in drawing Remiel back onto ZEKROM with a TELEPORT shortly thereafter.[break][break]

ZEKROM buckles when Remiel Calcifet descends upon his back once more. Despite the influence of jayden cross and his AVATAR abilities fading, the two find themselves in a terrible transition with no TEAM ROCKET nearby to unleash their rage upon. Eventually, the BLACK YIN and its AVATAR turn their attention back to WHITE KYUREM: just in time to see KYUREM stripped of RESHIRAM's power with a flash of light.[break][break]

And the LIGHT STONE falling into the wrong hands.

Despite their state, the shared connection between Remiel Calcifet and ZEKROM syncs once more as they set their gazes upon MARILYN HASEGAWA with anger. With a ferocious roar, the black dragon summons a SPIKY SHIELD around him before diving downward towards the frail human. In this state, the BLACK YIN becomes something of a wrecking ball, unwilling to let anything or anyone get in his way.[break][break]

His Altaria slams into the snow, puffing out a light mist as the powder is spread back out into the air. "Granny-! MATCHA! Get ready for retreat." he said as a blast of pink power on a now clear field reveals the disappearance of Palkia and it's chosen new avatar. He doesn't need his handheld to tell illeana reyes's infinity reading had changed once again. [Break][break]

He returns his pokemon, attention back above at @remiel and then Andrea Vaneau, summoning a pair of pokemon to being his aggressive defense of his operative and their treasure, as well as his friends still mind fight with an avatar. They should follow THEO BECKETT's order for retreat now, but he would hold the line for them before he bailed out too. [Break][break]

A Beheyeem floats between him and MARILYN HASEGAWA as he summons his shadow Glaceon. "Drop their dragons so they shut up already." he ordered as the League continued shouting. His Glaceon preps a storm until he watches Remiel taunt Jayden. His temper flares, "Sierra! Shoot through the heart!" He yelled as the ice type suddenly switches to a terrifying SHADOW CHILL. The beam of cold dark energy blasting forth against the sky, just barely hitting Andrea Vaneau's dragons befoe setting itself directly at Zekrom. [Break][break]

Neon takes the opportunitytointerject as his Glaceon preps. "The only rat faced coward here is you, Fox! I've read your fucking file! Couldn't even pulled the trigger yourself, you whiny arrogant prick! Ordered DOZENS of murders, but has yet to spill blood himself. You're a joke, as is the Galarian Crown if you're their best."His Glaceons atrack pulses as it egged on by the show of HATRED from his trainer. Listening to jayden cross's message and congratulations for catching the orb brought a warm, fuzzy feeling of self-pride into her worn, dilapidated heart; to feel as if she was of use after all the time spent in prison.. it was a feeling beyond compare. At least, other than the feeling that had emanated in her hands before she slipped the orb into the slot of her fanny pack! With the orders of retreat, she envisioned heading home to be like a spiritual, ghostly pilgrimage of legends. Her imagination and delight ran wild with such accomplishment, along with the self-righteousness that she had previously stated to detest. Was that the secret of the world, that self-righteousness came with holding such divine power inside of one's hands?[break][break]

Maybe that was just the royal and his steroid-imbued Corviknight, who knew? "A feast for the gods is what all of my grandbabies deserve, all of you," she said with an aged turgle into the comms, ".. to home we go-go!" With the proximity of mint frost and THEO BECKETT, she figured that retreat would be quite an easy feat- until the tea was spilled from mint frost's lips regarding the dirt rocket had on the one known as Remiel Calcifet. But in the end, why would anyone wish to spill precious tea, especially the expensive and flavorful ones? Marilyn did not understand such terminology, but she tried to get around regardless.[break][break]

But her wish to return to Sootopolis with the LIGHT STONE secured, that of which she planned to protect with her life until it fell into the hands of a rocket executive, was threatened. Had it not been for mint frost's hand signal that she was quick to pick up on, she would have certainly been crushed by the spiky shadow that rapidly hurdled downward. "Bah!" she exclaimed, rapidly clacking her cane against the belly of the Golurk to shoot backward in flight. Lucky for her, Ludwig was all the more in tune with her reaction, giving mere seconds between certain life and certain death.[break][break]

A name of a royal.. one that cannot comprehend the fates brought by the dragon's tongue have led the chrysalis of the dragon into our hands," she called out to the keeper of Zekrom, feeling the whisps of grudges manifest upon the automaton pokemon's shell, ".. if you're going to try to pry it from my grasp.. you're gonna have to fucking.. Hovering backward at a decent speed enough, Ludwig attempted to bestow a parting gift to the royal's black dragon as it readied for an attempted retreat- a CURSE, which maniacally drained some of the life force of the spectral machine in channeling. It did not react, as it had a job to do.. and just like all the others that the granny held dear to her heart, it knew that she would do everything in her power not to fail it. The lining of barren, snow and ice-imbued trees awaited them. And she giggled with each second that passed due to the irony, as in the end, all it took was her existence for the man to wish harm upon her.[break][break]

It reinforced her ideals. And though she was tempted to try to take home a clavicle of his to stir a cup of tea with, after a proper polish, of course, she needed to live to complete the final step of the mission. She hoped the Golurk would be fast enough.

The stretch of time to pick and prod at the kyurem quickly draws down to a close as the unbound hoopa takes its leave.[break][break]

There is a steadiness in hanging onto Jayden’s hand, though not for long.[break][break]

Zev Harcourt’s request to assist Elisabeth Fiorelli is met with an affirmative from Fern, “On it.” A pull of resistance comes from jayden cross, however, and they frown as he untangles their hands.[break][break]

They feel a bit wary to let him go, but their lips press in a thin line as they nod, and then murmur back a stern “Be careful,” that is no doubt swallowed up by the howl of the wind.[break][break]

Though they are not airborne, they follow Tapu Koko’s flitting form from below. It takes the initiative, darting away from the push against the hoopa to follow the tug of the bond between patron and recipient.[break][break]

Not that it needs much prodding to bother the great green dragon in the sky. A wily grin pulls across Fern’s face, and though, yes, Fiorelli has a handle on things, Tapu Koko seems keen to assist the other Tapu avatar.[break][break]

As it spins and buzzes around Eva Morales and rayquaza, tendrils of colored lighting fork down around it from the sky. NATURE’S MADNESS making the open sky far more narrowed.[break][break]

With their attention fixated on the fight directly above them, they miss jayden cross and how he comes to blows with Remiel Calcifet. But there are so many things going on around them, it is difficult to pinpoint between ryaquaza and the way kyurem is soon rended apart.[breaK][break]

It is not until calls for retreat begin to ring through the comms that Fern turns, beginning to look for signs of their fellow admin again, along with mint frost.

BARNABY FINCH’s nightmarish mask was recognized when he glanced over his shoulder. not looking to defy him, and ready to pull back anyways, she nodded.[break][break]

can’t afford to lose anyone else. how many had they lost? she glanced around the battlefield, up at fighting titans, and wondered if it might be the end of them. she looked for Cillian Quinn in the sky—still family, underneath the turmoil.[break][break]

As Palkia and Kyurem continued to struggle, the blizzard intensified, snow and ice merging together to form long, deadly spears high in the sky. Not even jayden cross's powers of winter could undo them. Zev watched with heightened anticipation as they circled the Spatial Pokémon, seeking weakness. [break][break]

Then a brilliance filled the Silent Icelands, raw power emanating from Palkia in tremendous waves. Pink-hued energy distorted the very air, whirling around a single human. Even from across the vast chasm, Zev could see her: [break][break]

Necrozma's attention shifted to regard Hoenn, a sensation in Zev's consciousness that was both extremely alien and deeply comforting. Through him, it sensed the bestowal. Even as Palkia disappeared through a rift of its own making, both Zev and his patron took note of its two lingering signatures. [break][break]

In the space between worlds, Zev's shard stirred, ready to act. But he stilled it with a thought. [break][break]

Team Rocket had to retreat first. Reshiram had not appeared; instead, an object had fallen to the ground, quickly collected by nearby operatives (MARILYN HASEGAWA and mint frost). Pokémon and their trainers clashed in snow and air. [break][break]

Recalling his Glalie and summoning his Corviknight, Zev turned to Neffatari Nzingha. "We're done here. Let's go home," he said, his exhaustion returning as the adrenaline of the battle began to fade. Reaching out a hand, he offered to help her onto the steel bird's back.

briars burst from the ice-slick ground, blackened barbs hungering towards all the life that remains on the ground. lyune feels their pull, the wrongness of it all, but freya's molten golds are still trained on the merged kyurem. its seams are unraveling. triumph bleeds from her cheshire grin.[break][break]

and then the tide swells. so quickly do they turn away from the threat at large to snap at each other's throats.[break][break]

snow and hail skitters over lyune's wings. the metal exoskeleton over his crippled appendage groans against the force that expels them. light dances over freya's eyes, but the kyurem's shape is a horrifying familiarity. cold knifes through her and a heat wells up in lyune's throat, meeting the creature's disjointed bellow with one of his own.[break][break]

her hand goes to a quiver that isn't there. flames lap uselessly at the air, too far away to strike with finality at the weakened monster. but is it weak? is it even weaker than when it began? the alien dragon is separated from them, is malice sealed away, and in its wake glimmers a stone of their spent dragon lord.[break][break]

in-fighting. vengeance. retribution. all foundations for a sin she's all too accompanied with. but pride does not have her in its clutches here. her companions all fall prey to the flame of old feuds and she dives, though she knows she is too far away to stop it.[break][break]

they lose another of their assets to rocket.[break][break]

but illeana reyes shines as a beacon on the battlefield and just as quickly as it had come, her rage subsides. she turns lyune's reins and presses a hand to her comms, gaze shifting to scour the ground for straggling survivors. the snow is a field of red. bright scarlet darkens as the shadows of her dragons stretch over the snowscape.[break][break]

"all of you, gather the survivors and fall back. live to fight another day."

So much was happening at once.

Necrozma, wo-chien, now Palkia - all gods looking to polish their piece for the incurring war. Steven had no place in any of it.

"Thanks," was all he could mustered when being dropped off by BARNABY FINCH . There was no verbalizing the gratitude that swelled. No matter how annoying of a boss he was, he saved him. He was the difference between life and an early grave.

But wasn't that just the worst? That, despite standing here, he needed saving every turn of this battle. Wasn't there something only he could do? Something within his powers?

Just as this thought swept through his mind, a glint of metal came cruising through. Wide, brown, and brazen, the IRON BOULDER consumed his vision. It became his sole objection. To procure one would be to solidify a small victory for his resume. And so a battle ensued, with Delphox aiding with mystic fires.

When it concludes, Steven not only leaves with a tremor of fear, but a small trickle of confidence. Maybe there were some things he could still do.
