he comes back after he has died. "sixth time's the charm," he mumbles, still knowing that the likelihood of him pulling the sword out of the stone is near zero. trying's free though, so he'll try this until he gets tired.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

This time around Isra is patient. She crouches beside the virtual sword and watches it for a moment, as if some manner of inspection might give her a key to figuring out how to best it. She herself had one of the later forms of the pokemon in her home. That creature, much like this one, was more ancient relic than not most days. At least it seemed that way.

But she can't say who exactly, as she stands and grips the blade again.

This is beginning to become like clockwork. Each day when the cooldown for making an attempt refreshes and Gavin has finished off his essential work for the day in reality, he logs into the game and the damned sword is the first thing he sees.[break][break]

This was Alec's sixth attempt to try and pull that blasted sword out from the stone. Even though he had died numerous times in order to do so, he would keep coming back and try. He was always to stubborn to give up. Maybe the sword knew that. Maybe it didn't. The thing the Demon mage knew how to do was to keep trying and to not give up on the prize that was in front of him. He still showed a sense of eagerness, as he walked closer to the sword.[break][break]

"I'm not giving up. I don't care how many times I die, or whether or not I won't get it before someone else does! I'm. Still. Gonna. Try!" the demonic mage said as he had begen to grab the hilt and pull on the sword, attempting to set it free and into his hands.[break][break]

He's less aggressive than last time as he marches up to the stone; he hadn't fallen on his ass and humiliated himself the last time he'd tried, which was enough to leave him feeling neutral toward the weapon and its rock once more.[break][break]

the sword stood there in all of its glory. still waiting for someone to pull it out. crowds went by, dying out by the end of the afternoon as people used up their daily chance on it. soon it was just by itself as the light of the sunset glistened off the blade. if it was alive it would probably fall asleep right about now before a large cat jumped onto it to try and tear it out of its stone home.

The fact that no one has managed to pull out the sword is a testament to how skewered the game is. At this point, there's almost no point in trying, but Fernando relents. He was nothing if not stubborn to a fault. Sure the past two days he had failed to remove this blasted sword from its slumbering spot, but that didn't mean that he would fail today. Besides he had continually fought, and trained his skills until he couldn't train them anymore. Knowing that he knew that today would be the day that he took that sword from the rock, and claimed whatever prize awaited him. A shimmering aura appeared around him as he walked up to where the sword rested, and then without further hesitation he reached out, and the aura intensified as he mustered every ounce of his strength. If the sword didn't find him worthy then he would simply take it by any means possible. Nothing would keep him from it today unless of course it did...A low growl escaped his lips as he continued his struggle hoping that it would break free.
