he comes back after he has died. "eighth time's the charm," he mumbles, still knowing that the likelihood of him pulling the sword out of the stone is near zero. trying's free though, so he'll try this until he gets tired.

kyle walks up to the sword and stares at it. multiple players have also tried and failed the rng roll, and he's about to do it twice in a row. his hand holds the hilt of the sword, watching the ribbon wrap around his arm.

"here goes," he mutters to himself, hyping him up before he readies himself to reappear at the spawn.

his hand grips the handle of the sword before he attempts to pull it out.

it's been more than a week now. she's been counting.
god, the rate on this sword must have been abysmal for how long it was taking for it to be drawn. no one has managed to do it yet. no one. not a single player who dared to come near this honedge managed to pull it out. or at least, if they did, they've super glued a replica of the same sword just so everyone else will keep on trying.

that was actually a good idea. when katherine will pull the sword out, she might consider doing this. was there even glue in VRMMORPG games? she'll have to find out after respawning - since she was just an inch away from the hilt of the blade with her hands. here goes nothing...

Isra took a day to think about the sword in the stone that everyone goes back to and tries their hand at. Or seems to at least. She always sees some kind of a crowd when she swings by the location of the relic like pokemon.

While before she had looked at the pokemon with disdain she watches it with a different kind of interest now from before. Like she sees in differently. Thinks of it differently. She's not entirely sure why.

It was amazing really. The endeavor seemed more ridiculous and mundane the longer he stood in line to attempt it. The chances were so against him that this was almost guaranteed to be a complete waste of his time. And, despite his fondness for other more _professional_ games of chance, he had half a mind to quit coming here.

But that curiosity, that damned curiosity.... it kept bringing him back. If there was a 1/100 chance of him sating it, he could find the time to do so. The sword was still there after killing her again. At this point Antoinette didn't even think about what to do. Quickly she wrapped her hands around the sword and once again gave it a tug. Either she was gonna pull this sword out from the stone, or she was gonna find herself dead and respawning. She was not a fan of having to do this daily, but if she got lucky it would all be worth it.

Still nobody had succeeded with yanking the sword out of the stone. No number of players who had flocked the cemetery to visit the sword had succeeded in pulling out the stone.

The rumors of more people getting ridiculously close were spreading, so that had to mean something, right? Was the sword going to yield?

Who would find it worthy?

As he watched the last person explode into painful pixelated death, he took a deep breath before walking forward and bracing himself.

What madness was this…
