Stormy chuckles as she approaches the man, a second drink in hand. She's picked up something new for the next event. The heat is exhausting for most but she's using it as an excuse to keep a cold drink in her possession. The straw twists around in a loose spiral and she takes a quick sip of the new poppin' pachirisu float she'd snagged. It was already melting, the ice cream portion now too soft.[break][break]

The other drink she offers to FERNANDO SILPH, should he like it. [break][break]

"Want to join me for jump rope? Maybe I'll beat you."[break][break]

She gestures to the next event, pausing a moment to wait for him to join her before she would ultimately participate in the next mini-event.[break][break]

Alexei wondered if Florian was around this huge… well, gathering of people running around and generally trying to cool down. Seeing that there were lots, upon lots, upon freakin’ lots of people, he wondered how easy it was to lose people in this huge-ass crowd.

It doesn’t take him too long to spot a familiar-looking parasol dashing around, and as he takes a second look to confirm his suspicions—the biggest smirk crosses his face as he decided to head over to where he was pretty certain he had spotted her.

Oh, this was going to be payback for the dance!

Smirking as he took a drink from one of the passing wait staff, he then approached the parasol before he spoke up.

“So. I thought you told me that ‘romance is stupid and it makes you weak’,” he began with the biggest shit-eating grin he could muster on his face. “Guess you’re going to eat those words now, eh?” he added a few moments later.

Oh, she was in for it—big time.

The moment she hears his voice her eyes go wide with alarm. The last thing she had expecte was for Alexei to find her here after their little chat. About the man holding her hand while she ran around the beach.

"Shut up Lexi." she says, turning to him in very clear alarm. It's painted all over her features and how her banette chuckles at the sight of her actually getting flustered by something. A rare notion.

Dare one say it, Isra may even be a bit emberassed here, how surprising.

“Make me,” were the only words he could say as he caught her pretty much red-handed at that point. Chuckling softly, he knew that she was going to have a hell of a time trying to explain herself since he had pretty much caught her in the act.

Holding hands, even.

“So, what did you tell me again?” he teased a few moments later. “Don’t tell me you’re going to eat your words now?”

Oh, he was definitely not going to let her live this down. Right in the act, absolutely.

She drops the parasol and her Banette who has been shadowing her catches it with his shadow. He keeps it over her as she lets go of Remiel Calcifet's hand. There's a split second where she seems stunned by his words but really she's just taking a second to debate.

Then she reaches up to cover his mouth with her hands, both of them, determined that he will stop talking one way or another.

she was going to jump.

... she was about to jump.

until she heard noah faber's question, which came out of, quite frankly, nowhere while she was focused on the vines of the pokemon that got their jumps ready. "eep..!" she was the first to go down - unceremoniously might she add - and tumble into the sand arms first with a soft squeal. her ankles had been caught in the vine mid-jump, so she was kind of.. left down there while trying to sit herself up.

gods, how embarrassing.

enough for her face to turn red, up to her ears when people looked. but rather than shy away, she only laughed at herself before picking herself up and brushing off the sand. she turns back to noah with a smile, along with kyle lopez who seemed to be enjoying himself alongside noah. "alexander stone. i think you've heard of him, before~" she doesn't say this with arrogance: she assumes that the stone name was household by this point, being in hoenn.

she scoots back a good distance from the rope, hugging her knees to her chest while watching from safety. "i'll buy a drink for whichever of you lasts longer~." though, probably something light for kyle. he already seemed to be tipsy enough.

The loud music blasted the open stage and thank Arceus Selena was not drunk. She would have volunteered to take her talent on-stage, but she was caught by another mini-game that involved jumping vines.

“Can I?” The Kalosian took another poppin’ pachirisu, gulped down the goblet , and began jumping at the cheering of the crowd together with a few more participants.

Emma has never gotten cozy with any of her coworkers - Marcel and Gavin being the only exceptions. As such, her reaction to Valerio's coziness with both her and Gavin is jarring and unsettling. She physically bristles as the woman leans in to whisper to her, holding her ground and exercising self-control so as to not warn him away from her.[break][break]

She's likely only seen Valerio in action a handful of times, Emma primarily worked alone. Her operations were solo missions or with single partners. It was unlikely, given their differences in personality, that they had ever worked together.[break][break]

Her attention is divided and with it, a breath escapes her as if she'd been holding it. Gavin leads her away while Valerio takes her leave, and she is promptly handed a stiff drink and asked a question. [break][break]

Though her fingers curl around the cold glass she makes no effort to enjoy it. [break][break]

"I'm fine."[break][break]

She gestures him toward the jump-rope activity. Though he pays no mind to it, she is sure he'd like to participate anyway. His concern is appreciated (sort of), but not needed. She's never needed comfort before, especially not for a bizarre situation such as the one she'd just escaped from.

the music shifts and he continues vibing. he passes by the stage with the band of ludicolo, and their performance is electric. eventually, he finds the third mini-game station and decides to slide right in, drink still in hand.

She doesn't even remember the last time she jumped rope. It was probably as a little kid, still doing little kid stuff, whatever that was. Skyler's gotten a little more dexterous as an adult, so why not try it? It looks kind of fun and there are rumours that maybe there are prizes involved.

Skyler struggles with the several pieces of party material in her arms, dumping them in the nearest trash can. She knows that cleaning the beach usually happens after the party, but she can't help herself.

She passes by the drinking booth and grabs of one the drinks for herself, giving the bartender a wink as she moves to where several people are attempting to jump rope. She takes a big swing of her drink, not really knowing what's in there, and jumps into the fray, laughing like a maniac.

Every strike of a volleyball was a sword clang. Every hiss and ignition of a BBQ burner was a dragon's roar and flame. Every peal of laughter was the constant chittering of the colony of Noibat that lived in the surrounding caverns of the Kalosian training grounds. It troubled him that he couldn't separate the two, but this was the first summer he'd spent outside of Kalos since his childhood. And it was all so... foreign. No training. No reading. No time chasing and challenging dragons.

No work.

All play.

To say he was feeling a bit restless was perhaps an understatement. The only thing that might have caused Isra not to notice his near constant neck rubbing or the firmness of his grip was the sudden appearance of an old friend: Alexei Ivanov .

The black-haired royal only knew Alexei through brief mentions on Isra's behalf and, of course, through the fact that he'd enlisted to participate in his gym challenge some time ago. Regardless, he imagined they wouldn't touch upon said challenge during such a time as this. Alexei, after all, seemed far more engaged in teasing Isra about them.

Remiel smiles a bit at her flustered expression, and he can consciously feel a good portion of that restlessness melt away. Though not enough, clearly, to volunteer himself for the next beach game when it is announced over a megaphone. After his long-haired belle drops his hand, opting instead to cover Alexei's mouth with them, Remiel takes this opportunity to summon Herschel to his side with a tap of his thigh before drawing a luxury ball and releasing Sarisse, his Lopunny, onto the sand.

"Myaaa!"

"Chirrup!"

"You two catch up. I've decided to partake in the jumping game with my pokémon." He speaks, offering a polite bow to Alexei. When he looks up at him and pauses, however, he shifts his steel blue eyes between the two. "Unless you'd both like to participate as well. We can make it interesting and treat the winner among us three to a pachirisu float." He added with a thin smile, departing shortly thereafter regardless of what they did.

When it's time and they've taken their positions, the trio jump into space among the swinging vines and begin jumping. Sarisse, the Lopunny, bounces effortlessly to his right and cheers all the way. Herschel, the shiny Applin, bounces to his left and appears more in fear for his life than anything. The prince of Hammerlocke, on the other hand, jumps the rope with a serious expression— and the fancy footwork of an experienced athlete.

[attr="class","hearrmenand2"]"Websites can be tricky," the guy beside her repeated, "Just like turning the page of a book." he snapped back. Piper couldn't hold back her laughter at that one. "Touche, big guy." She replied through her fit of giggles. Piper could tell she liked this guy already. For starters he was hilarious! Normally people either bitched or whined at Piper's sass. Always delivering some sort of comeback that was a waste of her time to even acknowledge, but this guy, he was different.

Or perhaps it was Piper who was different. Her mood being more positive than normal. Maybe she was losing her touch, but she didn't care. She was enjoying herself and that was what mattered right? "I'm trying to set up an online shop." the man confesses. "What. you have a website of your own?" The blonde slid her sunglasses up to rest atop her head so she could get a better look at her company.

With a shrug she smirked, "Who doesn't have one nowadays?" Straightening the strap of her black bikini she continued, "A lot of times you see people using premade websites. Usually those are hosted by a company to make 'website building' a bit easier for those that are new at it. So instead of creating something from scratch.." she pauses and points at his book to emphasize the "scratch" part, "...they already have the basic foundation established for them. Minimal headache but nothing like creating something unique and your own." Piper nodded proudly.

She reached into her bag to pull out her tablet. "As for me, I have a little something I managed to whip up," She bragged humbly while tapping away at the screen. "I'm a professional photographer. I specialize in action shots, so from Sports to your local rock concert I can do it all. But I'm not limited to that style. I can do just about anything really."

Piper batted her lashes at him before quickly adding to her sales pitch, "And I'm always down to learn more." She said as she flashed him a big grin before handing her tablet over to him so he could view the contents. Piper had managed to pull up her website, 'The Viper's Nest", home to VNP (Viper Nest Photography), her livelihood. The website featured a sleek and modern design, exercising a minimal but 'clean' approach to draw the user in.

"Go ahead," she said as she folded her arms behind her head and leaned back in her beach chair, "Go take a look, see if you like anything. You can click the gallery tab to see some of my portfolio as well." Piper smirked confidently. "And if you like what you see, I'm feeling a little generous, I'll help you out with your website...for a small fee," She teased as she pinched her fingers together at the word small before chuckling to herself. "Or you could learn from your book, up to you."

there's a grin forming on his expression with every word that marcel maeda whispers in his ears. his eyes were trained on Eva Dumont as he takes everything he gets from the rocket admin in.

"yeah!" he answers the questions enthusiastically. "you can call me, uh..."

priam takes a while to think of a name he could suggest to marcel. in the end, he realizes he'd rather hear what marcel would come up with and if it's going to be something as different as kosuke sato.

"what name am i getting? do i get a new background too? can i be a scientist of some sort?"

he tries to urge marcel to spill out the name, shoulders bopping with excitement.
