Wild Pyukumuku littered the sands of Slateport Beach, so much so that in every place the normal-type pokemon looked there were pink barbs sticking up; buried under, and pointed upwards, some sulking about where the water met the land, everywhere! Even though they were politely minding their own business in their unintentional swarm, their natural phenomenon was very clearly impeding those wanting to hit the oceanside before summer would fluctuate into fall.[break][break]

Rushing over to a cluster of a few, Blissey's lil' arms would reach out to scoop them all up, gently caressing the water types with all the love in the world. With the chime of the bells in her mind to help, she would use her HEAL BELL to cure any of them from any physical ailments that may have been afflicting them under their shells. In her curious and affectionate mind, she felt it was always better to be safe than sorry.[break][break]

Giving them lil' smoochies on the flat, black parts of their exteriors, she would toss them one by one with all her might. Hopefully, the bunch wouldn't make their long journey back onto the beach in places trainers wished to visit during the season's final stretch.

To say that the beaches were swarmed, was an understatement... The urchins were absolutely everywhere, the currents in the oceans must have definitely swept up an entire school and then some. They were sticking out of the sand, milling about in little sand trails they'd made, and generally just in all corners of the beach. No wonder it was making such a fuss, they were very spiky and sure to make any person or Pokemon who might step on one pretty hurt, but also they would get hurt too if someone stepped on them or generally didn't take too much care in trying to move them around. It was definitely a good idea to try and get as many of them back into the water as possible.[break][break]
The lumbering Feraligatr was shuffling about the beach, using his Metal Claw to pick up the Pyukumuku and toss them back into the water, sure to keep himself clear of getting pricked by any of their spines, but also... It was taking way too long picking them up one by one just to try and be careful! The water type huffed, looking around the beach for a moment, before he smiled wide on his toothy maw.[break][break]
Using the abundance of water washing ashore from the ocean, Crowley instead started to use Waterfall to brush through the sand and wisk the Pyukumuku back into the water, sweeping along the sandy shore with a steady torrent of water.

Rowlet dreaded this day to come. Why was it chosen to complete this job when any of the other Pokemon were better suited for it? Grudgingly it began to walk onto the beach, staring over the Pyukumuku infested beach that was just littered all over with them. It didn't want to touch them, it didn't even want to get near them, but it knew that there was no getting around this and its hand was being forced to do this job.[break][break]

It readies itself, aiming for the nearest Pyukumuku in its sights. It began to take flight, soaring over the beach with only one thing set in its vision. It Plucks the poor Pyukumuku, that was minding its own business, with its beak, right off the ground and lifts it up into the sky. It sets out towards the ocean and after a short while, drops it off sending it crashing down against the water, not caring if it had damaged it or not.[break][break]

Rowlet then lands back onto the beach, admiring the ocean view from its job well done. It felt triumphant, winning against its fear of other Pokemon, it felt like it could do anything in the world. That was until the small Rowlet turns around, remembering that there were plenty more where that Pokemon came from. It lets out a sigh in despair, ready to start the process all over again.

The moment he’d gotten word that there were Pyukumuku all the way out here?

He was on the fucking warpath.

As the Alolan native, he knew how much of an Arceus-forsaken scourge these things were…

“What are you doing out here?!” he grumbled, accompanied by his eternally-useless Yamper, Sumi. It didn’t take too long for the canid Pokémon to actually stumble over something… yet another Pyukumuku!

“I hope everyone’s aware that the moment you throw them out as far away from the shoreline as possible, they actually come back to the exact same spot,” he grumbled as he rolled up his sleeves and picked up the one he very nearly almost stepped on, before throwing it as hard as he could.

Not too far away, his Yamper had gotten into a scuffle with another Pyukumuku, roughly playing with it before snoot-bumping it back into the water.

Yikes.

These were.

These were the eternal scourge of all Alolans across all the beaches back home…

The Vaporeon is there at the beach since her trainer had some business to take care of somewhere else, so Mipha sees the Pyumukyu being washed ashore on the beach. She gets started with helping to take care of the summer heat affecting the Pokemon with Water Gun as the stream of water washes over each of the Pyumukyu’s bodies. Since the heat was probably affecting how they weren’t going to make their way back to the ocean and cooling them off first was a good idea, the female water type would do the rest of the job smoothly.[break][break]

One by one, Mipha picks them up with her mouth to take them back to the shallow waters of the ocean and throw them into where they could move in the water. Her trainer had taught her how to cool herself off in the heat since she’s a water type, so the Vaporeon would do her best in ensuring the Pyumukyu are safe from the heat of the sun than to leave them outside to suffer.

It seemed like it was simple enough. Yeet the pokemon back into the ocean so that the humans on the beach can continue to do whatever the hell they like to do. But as the urshifu started that the spike purple skinned pokemon, he couldn’t help but feel that this job was an insult to him. After all, he was a mighty beast. Surely, one of his other ‘team mates’ could have handled this. Whatever.

Saitama flexed his thick muscles arms, massive hands etched down to carefully pluck the Pyukumuku off the sandy beach. It moved, poking the urshifu’s hand and forcing him to let it go. It fell back into the sand at his feet. The bear like creature growled, reaching down once again to pluck the wild pokemon off the sand. This time however, he was careful not to let the pesky creature poke him. In fact, the panda bear throw the creature high in the air. It wiggled in place, only to hit its peak and gravity pulled it back down. It wiggled, knowing what was coming next.

Pulling his arm back and hand balling into a fist, the urshifu thrusted his fist into the wild pokemon with all his might. The WICKED BLOW sent the Pyukumuku flying through the air, soon skipping across the waters surface before ultimately crash landing far back into the sea. And once it did, Saitama let out a huff. Alright. Who was next? His gaze moved to the next one, its eyes widened as it began to attempt to wiggle away before the scare panda got to it.

kyle was basically an expert on all things related to the slateport beach, and his pokemon were no different. it was natural for them to perform work related either public safety or sanitation.

pyukumuku chucking was no different. his poochyena has chucked a good number of rockets to the ocean before, which includes, but not limited to, rocks, frisbees, balls, pokeballs, beach towels, children's toys and a lot more.

the trick with pyukumuku wasn't to gently toss them to the shoreline. that would simply push them back to the beach the next day when the tides bring them back. it was to push them with great force to the furthest part of the ocean one can muster.

the poochyena was a master of it. an exaggerated tackle brings one far from their beached position. a lot of those more and they'll be cleaning the beach and making it safe for both the visitors and the pokemon themselves.

The pink and black punchy things. And they were everywhere. EVERYWHERE. All over the beach, lying in wait for some hapless trainer to walk by and then BAM! Absolute menaces that they were. So the best thing to do was...

While some went for more humane means, others just straight up yeeted the things into oblivion. While Josh wasn't quite sure why the things needed to be yeeted into oblivion, there was too many Pyukumuku for him to voice complaint about so long as it wasn't overly cruel. As for Josh? Well, he had at least one idea. He would order Lightning, his Raichu, to dash from one creature to another, utilizing Nuzzle to stun them before moving to the next in quick succession. Then they would be able to pick them up while they were Paralyzed and drop them somewhere where they wouldn't be of harm. Hopefully.
