BLACKOUT SILENCES SLATEPORT WITH UNNATURAL UMBRAGE

UPDATE: Several Slateport residents have reported their accounts of what many are calling the 'Blackout of Slateport'.

"Everything went dark. You could hardly see your hand in front of you face," Rhodes said.

Rhodes explained that he looked out his window after hearing some noise outside. It led Rhodes to exit his home and come into contact with the unnatural darkness. Rhodes reported that his sight and hearing were reduced during this time and that he could not perceive his surroundings. This continued for several hours until the appearance of, what he believes to be, an Ultra Wormhole. Rhodes noted that this Ultra Wormhole was purple in color and much bigger than any of the Ultra Wormholes he's seen before.

Other residents have reported similar stories with different details leading up to the end of the unidentified phenomenon. An investigation is still in progress.

ORIGINAL STORY:

SLATEPORT CITY — An unidentified phenomenon covered Slateport late Saturday. Numerous individuals have been reported missing while the city has suffered significant damage, city officials said in a statement released Monday.

"At this time, the cause is unknown. We are investigating the source but have no leads at this point in time," the statement said. "Examination of damage inflicted on several building have led experts to indicate that a battle of natural disaster has taken place. However, they have noted that they have been unable to find any causalities or rubble in the wake of their investigation."

There have been no further comments from Slateport PD nor Hoenn's national relief agency. A League spokesman declined further comment on whether the circumstances may have had anything to do with the Ultra Beast War.

Slateport PD is asking anyone with information to come forward. A monetary reward has been placed for any information that leads to the discovery or conclusion of what happened in Slateport.

MEGALOPOLANS SPOTTED NORTH OF MAUVILLE

ROUTE 111 - Eye witnesses from Mauville have reported sighting of Megalopolans fleeing into the desert located on Route 111. Authorities have warned residents and trainers to avoid contact with Megalopolans and Ultra Beasts by any means possible. At this time, these individuals are presumed to be armed and dangerous. Please report any sightings to nearby League Officials.

These warnings come days after Mauville Miners LLC. have published a joint program with Mossdeep Minerals to certify trainers to explore the desert ruins. Several trainers have already completed the program and set out for uncharted treasures. The League has since annulled the program for renewal starting next year. A League spokesman has cited that the dangers and uncertainty that the ruins have presented in the past require explorers to complete a federal compliant course in order to be employed as contractors in this type of work.

kim cole-essam has gone on record approving these measures. He has cited the incidents and casualties of the Regirock excavation in 2018 as evidence that trainers require protective legislation in regards to hazardous employment.
