She was traveling by foot through the fiery path when she came across a group of pokemon. Her green orbs flickered over the group as they kicked a ball the was on fire back and forth. It appeared to be a game called soccer though she never seen pokemonplay this game before. But before the woman could leave, a oddly colored cinderace spotted her. It glared at her, the ball of flame under its foot. It nodded at her, waving its paw at her in the motion that indicated it wanted her to join. However, she wasn’t interested. The woman shook her head in a no, seeing as she wasn’t much of an athletic type as it was. And more than likely, she would get her ass kicked by them. They looked at each other for a moment, shrugging their shoulders and continued their game. The oddly colored one kicked the ball straight into the goal, their team cheering with the oddly colored one. But the woman left shortly after, not finding their game of soccer over interested.

their motive is lost on kyle, whose only present to calm down the situation.

while fire-types using their moves weren't uncommon in the fiery path, a whole group of them practicing all at the same time puts a certain danger for passersby. kyle uses it as an excuse to come by, putting off some of his time from mulling over the decision to go to the rumored treasure-filled ruins by the desert.

he's here to protect and serve, or so that's what he tells himself as he procrastinates to coming over for an adventure with mateo. distracted by the cinderace, kyle joins the rest of the people who throw their pokeballs at the fire-types playing soccer.

Chryssa shaded her eyes. She and Drifblim had been floating leisurely past Mt. Chimney, daring poisonous gases to hamper their aerial progress. Instead, it seemed they’d come across a rare phenomenon.

“Well, well. Isn’t that interesting, Beagan?”

<Beeeeeeee.>

Far out of Pyro Ball range, Chryssa could enjoy the spectacle from a distance. It was like having a drone view of a soccer match. She cupped her hands around her mouth as they floated past, pretending to referee the match. “Red Card, number five. That’s your third foul!” She didn’t know anything about sports, but that didn’t stop her from enjoying the distant strikes of feet and fireworks below.

    "Okay guys, we should be fine over there. Seems far enough back," Zac said, pointing to a patch of grass a safe distance away from the practising Cinderace. The junior soccer team sat down, chatting as they watched the Pokemon pass, kick, tap and knock Pyro Balls at each other.

    Their fast footwork was phenomenal, and every so often one of the Pokemon would miss a pass and the ball would explode in a shower of rippling fireworks, much to the amusement of the kids.

    "I hope you're all taking notes, guys," Zac said to the team. "Yes Mr. Ramsay," said Tyler, the joker of the bunch. The others all laughed, and Zac shook his head, smiling. The kids didn't seem too interested in the technical aspect of the craft, but they sure loved the fire. It would be a long road if this rag tag team was going to make it to regionals.

His travels had been interrupted by a series of Pyro Balls heading his way. It appears that in his walk with his wife, Izumi, through the Firey Path, they had found themselves assaulted by great balls of fire. Moving to and fro to dodge out of the way, Josh sent out his own Scorbunny to join the party.

"Rabbito, let's show them how it's done!" Josh called to the Scorbunny, who quickly intercepted one of the balls and kicked it back. While he had his own Scorbunny and likely wasn't the target of their goals, the least he could do was stop to play with them.

While Razz had no interest in getting anywhere near this place again the same couldn’t be said of his pokemon. With something going on nearby that brought Razz close, Royal took it on himself to wonder about. Taking one of his trainer’s pokeballs with him because this would be a great way to help build his royal court. [break][break]

That’s when he encountered a couple of bunnies playing a game. A game Royal had all intentions of beating them at their own game as it decided to interfere and make a goal for himself. The water type challenged the bunnies to their own game, and see if they would win.

Sven and Lupa had been roaming around the canyons, traveling nature as they usually did, before they spotted the mass gathering of Cinderace and Scorbunny from afar. The hike down was relatively easy and quick. Within minutes, they reached the large clearing where the rabbit pokémon practiced.[break][break]

Sven's eyes glowed with delight at the sight of their skills and tricks. Lupa, indifferent, was eventually forced to participate when one of the PYRO BALLS came flying her way. In her best attempt to mimic the actions of the Cinderace, she headbutts the ball and flinches when it singes her fur slightly. When it inevitably comes flying back down, she readies herself and uses her horn to keep it aloft.[break][break]

A Scorbunny nearby claps happily at the sight of it. Maybe one of the Cinderace will be impressed, too, Sven wonders.[break][break]

Valerio never thought the path towards Meteor Falls will always be safe until this swarm of cinderace blocks his way in the Fiery Path. All of the hares seem to enjoy the game they are playing with their geodude to golem-sized pyro balls. Lucky for him, one of the pokemons marked him, keeping him safe from the incoming ball of fire.

“Can I join?” He puts simply but he doubts they will ever let a person join their dangerous play with the flames.

Fernando cuts through the path in his quest for more Pokemon and the Cinderace he encounters perks his interest. It's one of those Galarian Pokemon; something he recognizes that he doesn't know but needs to in order to stay relevant. And for that endeavor, he juggles his own Pokeball, uncaring about the unthematic approach of HIS HANDS.

Nearby, several trainers catch sight of Fernando interrupt the wild Pokemon's game. How could he, they decry. Doesn't he have enough Pokemon? Can't he just buy more? Why must he tarnish and trample on this oh so blissful game between bunnies.

Because he doesn't give a fuck. He's just here for his LUCKY LETTERS.

kazimir joined the soccer playing rabbits in their little games. of course he stuck to being goalie for them and even then he was kind of bad at being one. he tried to argue that he wasn't going to be blocking giant balls of fire for obvious resons but the pokemon didn't really seem to understand that. oh well guess it was better than nothing when he heard about these things he might as well suck it up, he did want to try and bring one along with him. so as soon as his team managed to score a winning point he raised his hands high up into the air to high five the others as he called out; "GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL!!!"

Much like Fernando, Katherine had no reason to interrupt the bunnies’ games other than acquiring another LUCKY LETTER. The more, the merrier. If it meant that the joy and happiness of a Cinderace swarm have to be trampled, then so be it.

One of the scorching bunnies hops close to the woman, who in return quirks her brow.

They felt comfortable and at ease. They felt as if no one could shatter this false peace and freedom that they currently held.

A ghost-type would’ve known better, a ghost-type would’ve anticipated her Pokeball to be hurled as recklessly as some SOCCER BALL. A Scorbunny, however, doesn’t. Their naiveness is their downfall.

Fashionably late suited him well.

He wasn't much of a soccer fan, Kanto being more a Baseball country, but he knew his way around balls.

Ha!

Pity he was about to commit foul.

The young man fell upon the many Cinderace bullying with a drop kick to the back of the head, driving one's face into the dirt before stomping onto the soil for footing with his other foot and baseball swinging his net at the nearest other, the rest of his bugs bum rushing the rest of the not so coincidentally 11 Cinderaces with equal, extreme prejudice.
