He snickered at the remark skyler dross threw his way.

“I mean, I can obviously tell, from the way either of you keep ogling each other,” he sassed back, chuckling softly. Now that Skyler was sufficiently (at least) clothed, he looked over the crowd—hoo boy. Looked like there was something else up where the—other Pokemon was.

“Are they really going to burn everything—” he was about to say when the rain started to pour over the area.

“Well, that should help somewhat.”

A buzzing sensation from his hand alerted him to a message, before he let out a bark of laughter. Showing it to Skyler (the text from angelo vestri) for a few moments, he then turned his attention to the companion she’d summoned.

“Oh, nice, Lopunny,” he remarked, watching as a telltale attack flew from its paws towards the herd.

Back down where the Gallade and the Metagross were running through the crowd, the Gallade used another Shadow Sneak to stop a wayward Tauros from crashing into a stall, before it was hefted up into the air by the Metagross’s Telekinetic blast. Over where the Gardevoir and the Lucario were, the two were redirecting traffic for the injured festival-goers, Gardevoir releasing a potent Life Dew around their area.

With some help from another trainer the extra Tauros were scared off leaving Ranton free to focus on the one she already had ensnared.

With a little pressure it made a flinch leaving it vulnerable to a well placed ICE FANG. With it frozen in place Ranton moved on to another Tauros.

"DRAGON DANCE, then ICE FANG!" With orders in her head to follow through on, she found a target to carry them out.

With being frozen over with bite, the latest Tauros in her grasp suffered three sets of bites letting out a pained roar before passing out.

Okay, the noise was starting to get hella stressful. Looking over to where his Salamence and Aerodactyl were trying to herd the Tauros away, he sighed.

“Sorry. It’s just. So much noise and so much going on,” he apologized to Ruby Walker. Emptying another stick of grilled chicken bits, he then reached into the sleeves of what he was wearing and pulled out two more containment units.

Sky-high they went, this time releasing his Noivern and his Braviary.

“Fen, Kyou, if you see anyone that needs help, please go help them. You're both capable. Go. I'll be fine,” he reassured the Braviary, who let out a squawk of surprise.

“Yeah, go!” he urged, before the other two avians flew off towards another direction.

Turning back to Ruby, he ate another grilled chicken stick.

“Gods, sorry. I'm just. Ugh.”

He'd gotten so far along in an evacuated part of the festival that he scarcely heard a thing, walking in tandem with Rover at his side, a Sigilyph floating overhead. Not even the Tauros were showing themselves, causing him to begin stamping back the way he'd came. Fumbling for his phone, he sent Serena Malcolm a text:

"R u alright? where r u?"

The moment of calm was afforded by his pokemon, approaching the more eventful parts of Oldale Town, where there were still shrieks and screams that blurred the line between fear and excitement. Nobody texted him for awhile, and it only worried him further. Why did I run off? I should've made sure they were safe. As much as he considered Serena capable, she had never taken to training the way Adrian had. He'd left her, ostensibly defenseless, amidst a roaring crowd of people and pokemon, all of them panicked and pushing their way through by force... How could he have been so reckless?

By now he's approached a larger gathering; people are scrambling to leave Oldale or at least the vicinity, with the scent of Rover's AROMATHERAPY yet lingering, helping to soothe the beasts, quelling the confusion of the startled Tauros. With their unruly temperament subsiding, some left of their own accord, while others could be led away if coerced.

“Sorry, I just—stress the hell out,” he said again in Ruby Walker’s direction. “Nothing on you, of course.”

Now that four of his six companions were out in the field, he kept an eye on what they were doing before he turned to the plate and finally picked up one of the ignored taiyaki cakes.

“Ugh.”

Taking a big-ass bite out of it, he busied himself for a few moments as he destroyed the fish-shaped cake, tasting the red bean filling before going for another stick of grilled chicken bits.

“I don’t know why the Tauros—what even are they plurally called, Taurii? Hell I'm not sure—are stampeding still. Lots of people helping out, yet they still seem to be going their merry way,” he sighed.

Another stick of grilled chicken pieces disappeared. Thank hell he bought a lot, and the plate was starting to look lopsided now. More empty sticks than edible ones, too.

Zac had no time to argue with Stormy Silph about verbs. Head down, he crashed into Tapu Bulu, locking horns with the legendary. The impact shuddered through his shoulders, his neck muscles straining. The Ditto mantle across his shoulders quivered, but held.
    Head down, Zac watched the ground underneath sprout with thin flowers and creeping vines, only for the plants to wilt moments later as Tapu Bulu drained their energy.
    "You can't just come crashing in here," Zac said, as he ground his feet into the dirt, "and expect to tear the place up unchallenged."
    He set his stance, and pushed up. Zac was almost a foot taller that Tapu Bulu, and he leveraged every inch of that to rally against the Pokemon. "We are not here to be pushed around!"

priam takes his bag off for a moment and removes his espeon from it. "ward off any taurus that come along, okay?" he tells it.

nodding, the psychic-type appears to agree with his trainer even though the obvious points to it. it would have done the same thing regardless of whether it was instructed to or not. turning around, another blast of psychic pushes a taurus away when it comes too close for comfort.

priam starts to take the evidence from the scene in a hurry, wearing gloves to collect them as if it was an official job because he's conditioned to follow protocol. one by one, he collects any wrapper or anything that's solid enough to grab and dumps it in a plastic bag that would then go to his bag.

Stormy winces as a Tauros barrels down the path toward somebody carrying too many buckets of water. The Pokemon only clips the edge of a bucket, but its enough to send the poor sap tumbling into the dirt. In fact, he literally comes up with dirt and grass between his teeth.[break][break]

"It's a little late to say to duck, isn't it?"[break][break]

Whatever the response is, Stormy has already moved on. She whoops and shouts to try and gather the attention of the legendary Pokemon in the hopes that if she does, it might give the people driving it back a chance to be successful.[break][break]

It would probably be impossible, after all, to clean up the area without first eliminating the problem. [break][break]

The plate he had with him was slowly turning into a wasteland.

More and more sticks piling up, less edibles remaining.

“At this rate I might have to buy out another stall just to keep going,” he muttered around another mouthful of grilled chicken bits. At least the place where they were wasn’t so—smashed up yet!

He had to keep at least two on him at all times, but he figured—why not give that new move Vincent had learned a test run?

Unballing the Lucario, the dual-type looked around at the chaos in alarm, before Alexei held up a hand to calm him down.

“Okay, so uh... let’s try that new thing you learned,” he continued, before cupping his hand to let his voice carry.

“If anyone needs healing, do come over this way!” he shouted, before the Lucario took the hint and began to use Life Dew.

Turning to Ruby Walker, he added, “Not as impressive as Grace’s own, but it gets the job done.”

Over where the Noivern and Braviary were, the two were busy whipping up blasts of wind in an attempt to herd some more wayward Tauros down and out of the way of wrecked stalls to prevent further damage.

it takes a while to sweep the gunpowder and any other evidence that priam finds hard to grab with his hands, though he eventually realizes it's a lost cause. he simply decides to bury it in the dirt so no one finds it.

"ok i think i got most of them," he tells his espeon as he shoves the bag of firework wrapper and other debris to his backpack. "dazzling gleam!"

the espeon quickly shines a light bright enough to be another firework that it blinds any of the taurus lingering around. it gets them flinched for a moment-- an opportunity priam uses to run away from the crime scene.

he scoops up the espeon with his free hand as he runs away, slipping the bag back to his back.

There was more important things to worry about that the potential teasing that Chu-e could give Raziel Beckett for implying that kissing a person was the same as kissing a pokemon. He kissed a lot of his cute cat pokemon on their soft little foreheads all the time! But only a person could kiss him back and play some tonsil hockey. At least, without being a fucking weirdo.

"Maybe. I am kind of a scrawny little twink now. Just need to kind someone into sickly looking bitches and I'm all set." But, again, it was time to kind of move on from this line of topics. It always just ended up edging more serious and he didn't want serious right now. He wanted to deal with whatever was happening and just have fun.

Since the assault of cuteness wasn't noticed, Chu-e decided an assault of violence like everyone else was doing had to be working better. Sighing, he plucked up his Nidoking's pokeball again and tossed it out. "Everything is on fire. Go see if you can... do something about that." He said absently to the pokemon, who snorted but stomped off.

His duskull's eye glowed an eerie gleam, offering fortunes of doom to fill his vision through the use of future sight. The duskull levitated up to match Andy's admittedly meager height. Thankfully, most of the other patrons, some of whom he was familiar with were already attacking.

noah finally arrives at kyle lopez's location. as he leaps off his machamp, he taps his wristband. a brilliant flash of light blossoms outward like a firework and masks his machamp's form- but soon, the light withdraws to unsheathe his partner's new forme.

his shoes skid against the ground as noah lands next to kyle. dark blue hair bounces playfully across his damp forehead.

"let's pretend this is our break." noah says.

seeing a red gyarados take a tauros out, noah is quick to send out another pokemon. his urshifu lands with a roar. before it leaves, it beats its chest, its headband billowing past its head among the cinders.
