The unovan stand seemed to explode with no warning.

Covering his face from utensils and debris and steam-streaming Kentauros stared him down with angry eyes.

Taking one more bite from his pretzel he was forced to throw it aside in order to call out the triplets.

In seconds the three Metamon became three Kentauros and before they could knocked out the rampaging bull it ran away.

Taking the time to make sure Himeguma was safe and the triplets staying behind to do the same for him, the Kentauros escaped.

The fires were put out rather quickly from melody's sparkling aria making quick work of it and the icy wind managed to slow down the tauros. Then a group of mightyena came in and began to make quick work of the tauros rampaging due to their slower speed. Melody looked over to the trainer who had released the dog Pokémon. Melody called out to him "Hey! nice dog pokemon! They're pretty strong." she called out "Mind if I help out?" she called to him as she took on the group of tauros. She released a new Pokémon, her exploud and immediately gave it a command "Super sonic the tauros!" she called out as she tried to sent them into a tizzy and make them fall over.

The first hint that something was amiss reaches Skyler in the shape of distant screams. The second is a little more obvious as a herd of rampaging Tauros moves through a nearby street, knocking carts and stalls out of their way indiscriminately. Her lips are still latched onto the bottle of tequila as the remains of what must've once been a plushie flies overhead, yet another hapless victim of the startled herd.

Unlike many of the present trainers, Skyler doesn't react immediately. The chaotic destruction brings a curious light to her eyes, which sweep through the remains of broken structures, some of them set ablaze by nearby paper lanterns. "Think I should be kept on a tight leash, Celly?" The captain grins up at other woman, wearing trouble like it was a second skin. "Would you be the one to hold it, then?" Despite the playful tone of her voice, there is something sharp in the edge of her smile, some part of her rebelling at the thought in the most visceral of ways.

Skyler accepts Laurence Anderson 's hand when he offers it to her, rising to her feet and giving him a look as if to say 'don't you dare say a word, spiky'. Only then does she bother to take a look at her ripped yukata, swathes of fabric parting enough to showcase her whole leg and part of her torso. "I'm good." She waves away Lars' concern with a wave of her hand, turning to Celeste Abbiati with a shameless grin stretching her lips. "A bit too early to start stripping. Maybe in an hour or so depending on where we stop to drink." And what company she is keeping at the time...

There's a look of utter befuddlement on Skyler's face as she accepts the parasol, at a loss on what she should be doing with it. Her attention is, however, drawn to a small purple feline, his mischievous expression bringing about her own. "Jaspers!" Enthusiasm colors her voice when she addresses the familiar feline. "Bring me the most beautiful yukata you can find! I'm counting on you."

Unfortunately, the sea captain is too distracted to notice Laurence Anderson 's sudden interest in his phone. Skyler wouldn't have thought too much about it anyway, except that the head ranger utters a sentence that immediately has silver eyes narrowing, equal parts curiosity and growing suspicion. When she reads the words on the screen, however, suspicion melts away into loud, unapologetic peals of laughter - a strange contrast to the chaos that surrounds them.

Balls, huh? She'd have to remember that.

"Are you trying to set us up, spiky?" Lips twist into something wholly impish, the thought of anyone attempting to set her up with angelo vestri almost enough to have her break into laughter again. Instead she lowers her voice, silver eyes flashing as she looks up at Lars. "You're aware that we're-" fucking "-special friends, right?"

Regardless of his answer, Captain Dross would then turn her attention to more practical matters. Using the two halves of ripped yukata fabric, deft fingers effortlessly tie them together in a complicated looking knot. Her torso is still showing, as well as most of her legs as the fabric is pulled up - but it is marginally better. At least no one can see the color of her underwear anymore.

It would do for now. Time to join the Tauros party.

It isn't every day that Sabine is taken by surprise. Bold fingers fasten around the curve of her wrist, holding fast and pulling her in. Where once she had been the one in the lead, she is no longer, not with the warm breath against the slope of her neck and the temptation whispered in her ear.[break][break]

Sabine's lips part as she sucks in a breath, allowing, for once, another person to lead her astray.[break][break]

She senses confidence, danger and deliberation in the way Lulu had claimed control. It was interesting, fascinating, exciting, and she couldn't help but want to see it through.[break][break]

Except as quickly as she is lead, Lulu is just as quick to forget about her in favor of that same mess of tightly-wound blonde curls. She sees the flash of molten silver swimming amongst the crowd, and she can feel the tremble of temptation in the grip Lulu retains in her arm. It comes from the woman's core when she speaks, an aggressive challenge rising past her lips.[break][break]

But this challenge wasn't for her, it was for the woman climbing the tree. Whatever unspoken sexual tension lingers between them is lost in translation for the woman who had once, for just a moment, been Lulu's entire focus.[break][break]

It makes Sabine scowl, and she barely finds the will to turn that scowl into a smirk when skyler dross falls from the tree unceremoniously.[break][break]

"No one special, huh?"[break][break]

Jealousy is an emotion not well hidden on the princess' face, and she has the urge to tug her hand from Lulu's grip. She doesn't, but there is tension in the way she holds her arm out.[break][break]

[attr="class","spiral"]The calm, collected anger thrown at her by the stranger sends a chill up her spine. When placed next to the chaos around them, the rampaging pokemon, and her own frustration over the (admittedly minor) collision it feels out of place. Bizarre.

Somehow it still strikes a cord in her chest, though. Like maybe she should have expected it?

"Whatever, not my business if ya don't want t' keep an eye on your surroundings," she grumbles, standing up and brushing her clothes down. One hand still clutches her cheek as she turns her head and spits blood from her properly cut tongue to the pavement.

"What kinda deity is so stupid it doesn't expect fireworks at a festival, ain't they supposed t' like people celebratin' them or somethin'?" Plank replies. She conveniently misses the bit about how in running from the Tauros she was running into this problem. Why admit fault if she doesn't have to?

In the background, Mama and Jack have taken it upon themselves to protect their trainer while she reorients herself. They both SING at the surrounding Tauros, dropping them whenever they come close enough to fall victim to their soothing melodies.

Any misunderstandings about the connection between this man and Lilith were thrown to the side the minute that all hell broke loose upon the grounds of the festival, having already forgotten about it entirely as he focused on the task at hand. “Right, we’ll back her up.” Rowan reached out his arm, aiming the pokeball at his Roselia. “Eden, come back.” She disappeared as quickly as she arrived with a red streak of light, allowing him to place the pokeball back on his hip, quickly reaching to grab another. “Lilith, wait up!” Rowan called out, sprinting forward to follow her and Dakota despite the fact that he hated to run. He’d never had a real friend before, but something about his connection to Lilith made him feel as though she was as close to the real thing he’d gotten thus far, not that he’d ever admit that to anyone but himself. Now wasn’t the time to explore these failings of his pride, instead there was a Pokémon to calm down before he was able to enjoy this lovely evening.

“You’re up, Wonder!” Rowan let loose the pokeball from his hand, the Galarian Ponyta appearing in a flash of light. Normally he wouldn’t have brought out this Pokémon for fear of embarrassing himself, but it seemed as though this was the best course of action to get the legendary Pokemon to calm down. It didn’t take long for Wonder to get an idea of what was happening, between the rampaging Tauros and the disturbed Tapu Bulu. “You know what to do.” Rowan called out towards her, receiving a small whinny of confirmation in return. Wonder squared herself between Rowan and the large Pokémon, the horn on her head beginning to radiate with energy before unleashing a HEAL PULSE towards the great legendary Pokémon in an attempt to help soothe their temperament.

An idea popped into Killian's head, "Sounds like fun, but why don't we make things interesting?" he smiled slyly. "Let's have a little competition to see who can score the most in one of these games. If I win, you'll stop being difficult and tell me what's going on. And if you win...." he trailed off, willing to let her pick whatever form of punishment she wanted.

With as wild as things were getting it struck him as odd some of the festival patrons didn't seem to react at all to the rampaging Tauros.

Despite this he still managed to get a few strange looks from passers-by as he rode on back of Gan, still Transformed into a Tauros.

Riding down a singular bull that broke from the pack Gan exhaled hard from his snout and stamped his front foot signaling a charge against the smaller bovine.

Before he could charge, Kadabra returned with pokéballs he'd been sent to retrieve.

Snapping them on his belt Sénon turned his attention back to the Tauros. Only for it to have escaped while he was distracted. "Damn."

With his vantage point over the crowd he saw Sabine Calcifet in the distance making her displeased face at a larger woman (Lulu Flint) who looked vaguely familiar from a memory Sénon couldn't place. With a squint he tried to focus his gaze only to finally notice the commotion of a few trainers having it out with some kind of big bullish plant pokémon.

"I'm sure insulting Bulu will do wonders to calm it down," Gavin drawls, his attention on Dhelmise as it hauls itself back via its earlier ANCHOR SHOT. The cumbersome dual-type had little mobility out of water.

Another tossed ball reveals his Scizor, the angry hum of its wings drowned out by the chaos around them.

Gavin directs the hardy bug with silent, sharp hand signals — it responds with a curt nod before its natural AGILITY kicks in, carrying it easily toward the incensed legend. DUAL WINGBEATS send cutting arcs of wind toward Bulu, and Gavin turns back to peggie vela.

"Don't you recognize me?"

His smile is sharp, blond hair falling into his eyes as he tilts his head.

"I had a tumble, but I think I'm okay.. " He admitted, he was lucky that he got off so easily. He appreciated Eva's just as he was about to say something - the loud crash disrupted his thoughts. Teeth gritting in annoyance watching as Tauros continued their rampage. Much as he would like to leave now that he saw Eva there was hesitation. It wouldn't feel right to leave her here alone, and it looked like the situation needed more help. Simone's flinched as the pokemon cried out in agony, hurrying over after Eva to protect her from any danger while she did medical assistance.

"Atlas keep them away from the civilians. The command was natural thanks to all the years working as an officer the least he could do was offer basic protection during the chaos. There was a lot going on, glancing over towards where Tapu Bulu was all Simone could do was watch as other more suited trainers attempted to calm down the legendary.

The captain fell out of the tree with a thud. Lulu’s eyes watched with utter joy, her smile savage. The way skyler dross grabbed the bottle and drank away her embarrassment was both amusing and relatable. Lulu found herself momentarily wishing…

Eyes wandered down a path of exposed skin, before the voice of Sabine Calcifet pulled them back into her head.

“Hm?”

She looked at the princess, narrowing her gaze at her a little mischievously. “Just someone I would pay to watch fall out of that tree again a hundred times.” Assuring her, this was a rival of some sort, maybe even an enemy, regardless of any twinkle in her eye that told otherwise. Toxic.

Then, just as she turned to challenge the woman from the ground, bulls began to charge through. There was screaming. Absolute chaos. It all came out of nowhere.

“Fuck, of course.” She growled loudly, unabashed in her disappointment. She’d been robbed by Tapu Bulu.

She stood close to Sabine, vigilant, and happened to look up to see a shock of familiar red hair across a sea of brown fur. Sénon Game . On a Tauros of his own, he seemed to be helping drive the shitshow. Was this his fault?

Although it was uncertain whether or not he would catch it as her eyes only attempted to meet his in the instant he looked away, her glare bore a burning intensity which blamed him for the whole herd, the destruction of the festival, and the rich opportunity it had costed her.

In the moment before he took off after the Tauros again he looked to steal one more look at Sabine and the other woman only find her scowling at him.

Her heated glare caused him to do a double take as the stern expression caused a flashback in his head as he suddenly realized who he was making eye contact with.

Lulu.

"What the actual fuck." He muttered to himself.

"Revert Gan." On orders the Tauros seemed to deflate and melt back into its gelatinous original form. Stuff the Ditto back in his robes where he liked to hide the most Sénon snatched a pokéball from one of his pockets calling his Gyarados into the field.

Mounting her neck she hoisted him up high into the sky so that he could see the location of the Tauros herd in the distance.

To be fair, Lars wondered if there were other Rangers around the area. Once he was sure skyler dross was sufficiently clothed enough, he turned to his phone screen once more and opened a different group message—this one having all the known Rangers (at the time) in it.

Typing quickly, he sent out this message:

‘If anyone isn’t busy with the festival helping people get to safety, please help with the Tauros herd. They're proving to be tricky to handle.’

Once he’d sent it to everyone within range, he turned back to look at Skyler.

“Well that was a quick recovery,” he remarked with the shadow of the shit-eating grin still on his face. “Also, you two are deep in the Nile,” he added with an eyebrow wiggle.

To himself, he added, And I'm going to get you two together!

He then looked over to where he saw a flash of silver gathering up any wayward Tauros, moving along slowly because the Gallade atop its head was busy snagging even more of the bulls with Shadow Sneak.

Well, things had gone to hell quickly.

He just wanted to enjoy a day out with his kids, but nope. Work had already decided to call in the worst way. A complete and utter disaster as the Tauros began to rampage. Fine, fair enough, he'd get them wrangled and then he could get back to the kids. He handed them off to Izumi as he charged forward with Lightning, but all of a sudden, as he had been about to charge the Tauros...

"What in Arceus' name is THAT?!"

Josh did not know what a Tapu Bulu was. But it had two tree trunks and was trying to grind the festival into sashimi. Officers could handle the Tauros... This thing was going to need a trained professional.

So Josh did what Josh does. And that's the unusual and the strange. As the tree trunk came his way, he would actually leap upwards, clinging to it as his Raichu did the same. Remembering the lessons Izumi gave him, he began to climb up before detaching the expandable staff on his belt. He would try and poke at Tapu Bulu, as Lightning charged a Thunderbolt to try and knock it down.

Of course he hadn't counted on many other attacks coming their way in the process.

Oh god.

Chu-e sighed as his Machamp and Nidoking continued to wantonly take out Tauros. It was... boring. Which was a shame, cause normally this kind of blatant aggression and fighting was just what he liked. But, it probably wasn't winning him any favors with Raziel Beckett, either. Right as his two pokemon were about to gang up on a final unlucky Tauros, Chu-e called the two pokemon back- only to release his own Tauros. This one a toxic and neon green color, showing he was shiny. A few of the other Tauros stopped to look at him, snorting and apprehensive but not approaching not rampaging. Well... may as well use this to his advantage!

"Holy shit. Razz, if I were a lesser man, you would have fucking killed me with that." Chu-e replied to the joke, laughing, as he struggled to climb on top of his pokemon. The Tauros huffed before starting forward, a sparkling precession through the crowds and drawing the attention of many other Tauros. Before he knew it, he had a whole little pack of them following after his ride, which was slowly growing in number.

"Fair, though. I'm doing my best not to let him see my crazy until I've got my hooks in 'im."
