Oh, it was ON. Serena teased Rose, and the younger Rocket woman merely responded with a flirty, challenging grin. "Oh, sweetheart. Who do you think you're talking to?" she moved a hand through her hair, giving the confidence a whirl. Now her legs weren't shaking, as she and Amarylis began searching together, near Serena.

For every egg Rose found, it was like Serena found two, getting a substantial lead over her. The blue-haired Rocket was attempting (and failing) at hiding her competitive nature, as she felt her eye twitch. It wasn't that she was doing bad by any means! But it was strategy! She kept looking in harder places, costing her time, while Serena kept scooping the easy ones up. Amarylis was getting fired up too, the Kirlia feeling the flames of war between herself and Gwen. Playful, fun, egg-cellent war. By the time this was over, she would have victory.

She found one more, and was feeling better, until she heard the voice of a male nearby calling out for Serena. Rose's gaze shot up, as she looked over to the source. Two guys had come over, arm-in-arm together. Rose felt her lips part at the gesture. Were they together?

Letting them talk, Rose for once almost seemed shy to her usual demeanor. She didn't at all ask Serena to introduce her, feeling it would feel too much to ask that. Sure, it was kind of a date, but it wasn't like it was all that serious, right? Besides, they were probably friends! Rose didn't want to interrupt. Her confidence was beginning to dwindle just a little. When Serena looked over to her, Rose said nothing.

Then the introduction came, and Rose felt her face slightly redden. How did she introduce herself to these two. "Hello!" she stammered out. She almost seemed mousy, pushing her legs together, with her basket held in front.

Oh! Serena had a brother? OH. OOOOOOH! She had a sibling too... Rose gave a sheepish smile. "It's a pleasure, Adrian. Rowan" she responded after Serena spoke. Her gaze fixated on their looped arms, a hand reeling back to rub her neck. Slight turn to Serena, then down to Serena's basket. Competitive Rose squinted at her basket. Like heck she was losing today. It was so on.

The young man gives a simple wave hello when Skyler welcomed him. For now he was content with just watching from below as he figured this was as good a spot as any to have a picnic while Salem and Whis were out hunting eggs. Putting down his box of treats he looks back up toward Sky. "It isn't about fun, its about practicality," he can't help but comment as that's what Razz was always about: practicality. Why climb the tree when he could ask one of of his pokemon to use something like Psychic to grab it? [break][break]

There is a small hint of a smile as Skyler mentioned not being short. Reminded him a bit how him and his brother could compete over who was just that extra centimeter taller. Though the sudden peach to his head did take him by surprise as it caused him to rub his head. The 'shiny Meowstic' on his shoulder ended up catching it out of curiosity sniffing it a bit before seeming to ask their trainer. "Go ahead," he mutters knowing the ditto was wanting permission. Eventually they'll learn not to ask and just do. [break][break]

Looking up at the announcement, Andy was reminded of the games back in Galar around this time of year. He'd been made to egg hunt in order to socialize with other kids. There was a level of dislike for such a thing. Epitaph typically ate every egg they found, the bastard, so he always ended up losing to one or more other children. That being the case however, meant that the gengar was fairly adept at it.

While her trainer struggled to find his words, De-De decided to “sample” from some of the now-unattended tables and blankets.

The Delibird waddled from plate to bowl to basket, taking whatever leftovers she could and storing them away in her tail-sack. She was partway through scavenging among an impressively-sized cookout, when something colorful suddenly caught her attention.

A rather tasty-looking object was nestled beneath a large bush nearby. Probably to hide it from hungry thieves like her. Well too bad for them! De-De wiggled her way underneath the foliage and happily deposited the prize into her tail with the other snacks.

Now to try and get back out…

It’s been a few days since Alison first arrived in Hoenn. The region was a lot different from what she’s been hearing. She knew not to fully trust the news, but Hoenn seemed peaceful, beautiful even. The spring season in Hoenn was really breathtaking, completely different from Galar’s spring.

Alison’s reason for coming to Hoenn was to reconnect with her mother and brother, it’s been years since they left galar and they both seemed hesitant to come back. Her mother was a difficult person to reach, but Alison was determined to locate them.

It was a stroke of luck when she found out that there was a big event happening in the town she was staying in, she found it unlikely that she can find Andy or her mother here, but she figured that there would be no harm in checking. She walked around the park with her furfrou, Pompom. Who seemed ecstatic about being in a new park.

The beauty and liveliness of the event almost made Alison forget why she came here in the first place, she realized her purpose as she spotted Andy's face in the nearby distance. She didn’t want to believe that it would be this easy, her slow pace changed into a dash.

Alexei didn’t know how he’d ended up here. Everything was just a haze, to be honest.

The last thing he remembered before he was dropped off was that his receptionist had abruptly decided for him to show up here, alone, and to relax.

“Relax? But I already am!” he remembered arguing with the other guy, before being shushed and sent off by Kadabra-teleport to Verdanturf.

Fuck, everything was still a mess.

Appearing behind one of the flowering trees, he wondered if he was going to run into anyone he knew here… checking the crowd of people, there was nobody.

Welp, that sucked.

Maybe it was better for him to hide here instead and—wait, did someone mention ‘cupcakes’?

Okay, maybe he was a little hungry…

Making his way over to where the Alcremie-themed cupcakes were, he took a blue one for himself and demolished it in one bite, before attempting to beat a hasty retreat back to where he’d appeared.

He didn’t want to be amongst so many people today… here’s to hoping he could hide himself!

Melody showed up pretty late to the picnic event, she showed up with some rainbow oricorio popcorn! She immediately scrambled to run around with her oricorios looking for the egg. She saw kyle and called out to him "KYLE HELP ME I CANT FIND AN EGG IN TIME I WAS LATE AND THERE WAS A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH MY ORICORIOS COMING IN." She said between sobs and panics and the aspect of losing the very first round. "Pa-u Use your psychic powers and find some eggs please!" She said placing both hands together and praying that her psychic typing would help her out. Pa'u at first didn't seem like it found anything until it suddenly screamed out and ran towards a direction. Her oriocorio's all stared in horror and then chased after her feeling like they found something. Melody ran after them too and eventually they stumbled upon a singular egg that was...rather large? was this meant to be a real egg? She worried for a moment and then found an egg on top of the bigger one. She grabbed the egg meant for the event and immediately ran away from the large egg before the mother Pokémon came back.

Sigmund finds nothing in the tree hole, and emerges out from it with bark shavings on his hands as he regards the woman with a smile. "Well I didn't find anything... maybe Raya and your Gallade will have more luck!" He brightly grins. "My name's Sigmund, by the way!" He steps forward and extends a hand, but retracts it after a moment when he finally notes the bark shavings.

The youth abashedly chuckles as he claps his hands clean, wiping them on his pant leg for good measure before extending one of them forward again. "Always nice to meet another blonde, hehe!" Suddenly, the luchador Pikachu chaotically falls from the tree above and lands on his shoulder, scrambling to keep herself from sliding of fhis back.

Surprised, Sigmund turns to regard his pokemon, then cups a hand beneath her chin when he realizes she's harboring something in her cheek. Bwygah. The Pikachu spits out a saliva-covered plastic egg onto his palm. Sigmund narrows his eyes and gasps in mild disgust. There's still food-coloring in her spit from the cupcakes, after all, and it's bright green.

"Ewwwww, grody." He laughs, shaking the egg free of the dripping saliva before opening it. "Oh! A pokeball!" Pulling the item out from its capsule, he attaches it to his belt.

"They're really delicious, you should give them a try." Looking too at ease for someone who was teetering dangerously on a tree branch, Skyler lets go of the tree trunk and catches a few more peaches, craddling them in her arms. A few falling petals catch in Skyler's hair, their downward path interrupted by the tentacle-like mess of curls.

Just then, her attention shifts to an approaching rock, grinning widely in recognition. "Hey Opal, gimme a hand."

The Carbink easily floats the peaches down to the ground to have them join whatever Razz had brought with him. Judging the small diamond pokemon far safer than the barbarian she'd chosen as a trainer, the Morelull hops onto the Carbink's body.

"I've come for the free food, of course." Hooking her legs over the tree branch and tensing her muscles, Captain Dross lets her torso fall until most of her is upside down, a flag of blonde hair falling until it reaches Razz's height. Good thing she'd worn a sports bra today.

Silver glints down at Razz, a mischievous smile curling her lips as she reaches out to annoyingly ruffle his hair. "What about you, Razz? Wait - you aren't working, are you?"

When he heard someone call his name he immediately thought it would be Doug, or perhaps Hideo. The tone of the voice was familiar, yet much more feminine than either of those. A family picnic was a fine idea for the event, and Josh had happily taken his kids along. Though as soon as Josh had brought out the basket, the announcement of an egg hunt would catch the attention of Zack and Lyra. The blonde chuckled at that. Of course. He didn't mind, he hadn't brought anything that would be a problem if they couldn't eat it right away. And he hadn't loaded anything out of the basket just yet. Hopefully no Pokemon would eat it if they left it there...

So with that, they were on their feet as Josh let the kids rush forward to search for eggs, while he kept an eye on them from behind. Ensuring they didn't become a lost flock of Wooloo.

AS EGGS ARE HUNTED, the park's Pokemon hunt treats too. Wild Azumarill and Taillow snatch stray crumbs or steal sandwiches altogether. As the park attendants set up for the next mini-game, the weather grows warmer as the day shifts closer to the afternoon. To quench the thirst of those reveling in spring, several delectable drinks can be purchased.[break][break][break]
