An EXPLOSION rocks the area. As Chu-e Choi's GALARIAN WEEZING falls, so does Balder Schwartz's CELESTEELA. The recall is delayed thanks to a SHOCKWAVE that wracks across Balder Schwartz's body (from jayden cross's BANETTE). The rest of his Pokemon are recalled— while Kazimir Wynter is able to avoid the brunt of the EXPLOSION due to a PHANTOM FORCE.[break][break]

Within the elevating spout, Balder Schwartz is wrestled around the throat by Chu-e Choi's CRYSTAL VINE as they're swept up into the water. Even the small plot of land where the temple once rested on is submerged. As the ALOLAN is leashed painfully, Kazimir Wynter reappears, his KICK temporarily freeing Balder Schwartz from Chu-e Choi's grasp. However, arrows begin to fly— striking at the POKKENGER from bryan delarosa's high ground while jayden cross's ORBEETLE attempts to re-secure the chain around Balder Schwartz's neck with a PSYCHIC.[break][break]

A TENSE STAND-OFF BREAKS OFF INTO MORE CONFLICT. Confronted with the morbid scene of his sister in GIRATINA's maw, Adrian Malcolm fights back. oscar clayton combats Katherine Fairburne's Pokemon alongside Adrian Malcolm— and although the latter's ABRA attempts to ALLY SWITCH with Serena Malcolm, the horrific expanse of GIRATINA's realm terrifies it. In swift moment, Adrian Malcolm's heartbreaking concerns are communicated to Serena Malcolm via the ABRA's innate telepathy.[break][break]

Nearby, bryan delarosa fires arrows, their fletchlings adding color in midst the scattered droplets.[break][break]

Although Katherine's COFAGRIGUS strikes the YVELTAL back— the granted GHOST-TYPE on this deity of death does not override its purpose. Still, it grants Katherine Fairburne with a moment, for it hesitates briefly, confused at this new confounding element. Temporarily, it assumes some part of ghostly nature— the YVELTAL will continue to attack, threatening Katherine Fairburne and her domain. The Elite Four will only have a few moments before she must make her exit, for the GENESECT, who is low on battery, may strike again alongside Adrian Malcolm's Pokemon allies.[break][break]

Cillian Quinn's COUNTER-THREAT rings in Katherine Fairburne's thoughts while oscar clayton's TYRANITAR MEGA EVOLVES to further increase the heat.[break][break]

On 2A, noah faber and John Sullivan catch their breath. From the spout, noah faber's BOUFFALANT leaps and surprises them. Having fallen asleep mid-charge, the bull had crashed into the sea below; however, the WATER SPOUT has allowed it to return.[break][break]

LEVEL 1

Cillian Quinn Lulu Flint Laurence Anderson Kaida Adachi Rowan Wrynn noah faber

Cillian Quinn and Lulu Flint ready themselves for any incoming threat as cold water droplets strike their skin. The geyser's height reaches even here. While Kaida Adachi falls to the floor, her Pokemon come to her aid. Her YANMEGA UPROARS until it is DISABLED— but she is swiftly flown out of danger. Her KOMMO-O remains a level below, since Cillian Quinn's AERODACTYL has been recalled. Laurence Anderson mirrors the others, his Pokemon, like his valiant GALLADE, forging defenses as he cares for Kaida Adachi.[break][break]

Simultaneously, Sénon Game's Pokemon challenge grunts in their way. The vigilante attempts to make his escape in discreet fashion.[break][break]

However, this evening, whipped by the conjured rains of a KYOGRE's RISING BAY, grows darker. Rowan Wrynn's CRIES are unheard over the chaos— and the HAMMER ARM descends. noah faber's MACHAMP reverts to its normal form in a blink of unfortunate timing— and the MEGA SWAMPERT strikes the Pokemon's chest like an executioner's axe. noah faber's MACHAMP remains sprawled out on the cracked stone as a lifeless heap.[break][break]

THE SPIRE

Over the radio, kim cole-essam and John Sullivan coordinate the continual evacuation of League-affiliated citizens. The ORBEETLE transfers large swathes of citizens to boats outside the crater, some near Melody Miro's LIGHTHOUSE and GYM.[break][break]

Water begins to consume the spire itself. kim cole-essam's PHEROMOSA is a graceful creature, running the width of the water spout with ease as the large bay-geyser consumes the structure. [break][break]

Killian Decker's STARMIE takes the THUNDERBOLT after the HOOPA PSYCHICS water at them. The Pokemon PROTECTS— but the a stray spark or two strikes Killian Decker due to the excess of water. [break][break]

Water begins to fill the spire again as kim cole-essam preps his SHARD. Balder Schwartz too, preps his. [break][break]

WATER SPOUT B

Locke Jamison and angelo vestri are thrust out into the spiraling pillar of water. However, kyle lopez is last to leave the cave, his shard tossed into it— and once the activation occurs, it expands. A small orb. It takes everything within it in a sphere of black before disappearing. Unfortunately, one shard is not enough to adequately shift the cave.[break][break]

Raziel Beckett attempts to use his AVATAR POWERS— but finds that they do not work. As the WATER SPOUT threatens to suck him in deeper and deeper as he rises— finally, enough distance is made between him and kyle lopez's SOLGALEO for him to leave its grasp with an explosion and TAILWIND from angelo vestri's LATIAS. His RESHIRAM catches him. Nearby, Locke Jamison reconvenes with angelo vestri, while kyle lopez's ENTEI swims through the currents with all of its might.[break][break]

As kyle lopez, angelo vestri, Raziel Beckett and Locke Jamison wrestle with the currents, a powerful punch from the ranger's BUZZWOLE momentarily creates a gap in the waters. Within this wet frame, they would be able to witness skyler dross teleporting close to the KYOGRE.[break][break]

When she touches the BLUE ORB to the KYOGRE's scales, the leviathan turns to her. A second stretches out into an eternity, before the KYOGRE swallows her whole.[break][break]

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

FROM THE TOP OF THE SPOUT, the KYOGRE leaps. It passes SOOTOPOLIS and plunges into the ocean surrounding it. Swimming away, skyler dross's loved ones are forced to watch her disappear.[break][break]

@izzy, Violet Fairbanks and mason moore may take inspiration from KYOGRE's leaving, for should they dare too, they can leave the city from this height.[break][break]

The PRIMAL SHARDS that have not been used yet pulse violently in Katherine Fairburne, kim cole-essam and Balder Schwartz's possessions. They quake, as if ready to detonate. Slowly, THE WATER SPOUT descends, revealing the SPIRE bit by bit. As the BLUE ORB leaves the city, SOOTOPOLIS CITY's stone levels shift and groan. It's as if they are attempting to piece themselves back together, in their original formation.[break][break]

However, some are in far more dire straits. As skyler dross contends herself with her new, dark reality, she treads in the first of a compartmentalized stomach. Should her Pokemon be swallowed too (they may be recalled or left in the descending water spout), she may find some solace in having company. That is, if the KYOGRE didn't count. Within the the belly of this beast, skyler dross would notice the BLUE ORB glowing faintly— and with it, a channel of communication is opened.[break][break]

It’s said that Dragonite can fly around the entire globe in about sixteen hours, and Tini-Tini seemed to be trying for a world record. They were moving so fast it was hard for Locke to keep his eyes open against the rush of water, blindly moving forward with burning lungs until finally he broke the surface beside-

“Angelo!” Locke gasped as oxygen reacquainted with his lungs. “Please tell me you know what’s going on!” Looking around, there were a great many things “going on” at the moment, but his eyes were soon drawn up the Whirlpool to its behemoth source, and the figure brave or fool enough to approach it. “And what is that?!”

Almost as soon as the question was out of their mouth, however, the beast dove beneath the waves, taking the woman with it. There was heart-stopping few seconds where Locke felt the water displace around them as it rushed past, but it thankfully kept its course as it sank down the center of the spout, completely uninterested in the pair.

The Whirlpool followed shortly behind its master, and Tini-Tini gladly took the opportunity to escape the dying currents to hover near angelo vestri. The Spire slowly began to reemerge from the water, and Locke desperately wanted to land somewhere along the roof of the freshly-uncovered ruins, if only for a brief respite from their brush with danger. But they weren’t keen on losing sight of the first friendly face they’d found in the city, opting instead to keep as close to the older courier as possible, wherever he decided to go next.

Once the stray sparks hit him and the taste of static fills his mouth, Killian's over this whole situation. "Fuck, you guys really want this dusty old spire, don't you?" and every fiber of him screamed to figure out why. [break][break][break]

Thank Arceus that an image of Alexandra Briarwood and all her redheaded glory pushed rational thoughts into his head. [break][break]

Alakazam's Telekinesis still has him hovering in the air. Assuming the hoop behind him remained. The admin floated back a few inches toward it alongside his Pokemon. Ever the cheeky bastard, before he and his Pokemon dived inside, he whistled to his Starmie.[break][break]

Two quick breathes of air pass through puckered lips. Spotlight is cast out from the star's central gem and at kim cole-essam. Insurance, in case that teleporting bastard tried anything funky. Then - Killian and his Pokemon passed through the ring, hopefully to safety. [break][break]

Ideally, before kyle lopez goes apeshit and starts to level an ancient Hoenn monument.[break][break]
