her ears twitch - they hecking twitched - at the young girl's words. she'a anxious, no doubt, and it leaves a bad taste in her mouth, knowing that a child is moving on her own the way she is. mielle could take to safety in numbers, but the concern furrowing of her brows prompt her to go a different direction. with that said, she swaps out the large apple pokemon for a hovering queen bee. that should be better in terms of mobility.[break][break]

not to mention that she was still hurt. a twang in her heart makes her cringe, seeing a child put herself through pain as the vines grown beneath her. still, she turns to look for dante who, much to her surprise, already looked to be walking back with some new.. draconic features to his body. were not for the situation, she'd stare in awe. oh sho was she kidding? she was definitely staring. [break][break]

"are you alright?" she frets. her ears twitch anticipating an answer, arms instinctively reaching over to brush her fingers by his arm. the anxiety is split when she glances back at the child, already walking down the path she's created with a small light source. [break][break]

she makes sure that dante is okay, before smiling as the green leaf parts of her ears and tail began to glow, softly. the light gathers into a small, warm orb of light within her hands before she releases it into the air - she's never done it before, and it just came so naturally - to expand a sunny day out into the sky. she hopes that the harsh sunlight can brighten the way. with the artificial sun out, she opts to gently grab the man's hand to tug him along with her. her warm smile is there to offset her own anxiety, eager to follow the path of the young girl. she wants to catch up. "be careful." she says, smiling as her fingers twine around his hand "the ground is a little uneven, but.. i'm very worried about the little girl, so i hope we can catch up~."

When she recovers, she leans back and wipes her mouth. Before her very eyes, her vomit is absorbed into the earth as what she can only guess is another sacrifice. She feels queasy about the whole thing, as well as the fact that her hands have turned into blades and there is now spittle on her saw-hand.

She was hideous.

Someone above shouts, and she recognizes it as priam conrad. Something about paths or something. Whatever, chances are she'd be one of the last to move given her out-of-body experience, and she'd follow THEO BECKETT and KING WAYLAND, and ultimately Lulu Flint on whatever path they chose.

As it happens, the boys move to the right. So she does too, doing her best to keep up in spite of the rocky marsh. The water splashes up her legs and she feels immense discomfort as a result. Her Teddiursa has now climbed above her shoulders if she hadn't already by last turn, gripping her hair tight enough to make a grown woman cry.

But at least she was safe.

Remi's Unown hovers around nearby as well, keeping close with its wide-open, creepy eyeball. It seems transfixed by the rocky formations but doesn't stray too far from its trainer. The Teddiursa waves at it from time to time as it makes its rounds.

THEO BECKETT's WILL-O-WISPS light the way, and she takes advantage of the dancing lights to keep up with them all. In the meantime, all of the excitement from earlier and the rhythmic steps of Remi lulls the Teddiursa to REST.

Should any rocky formations block her path or attempt to slow her down, Remi would happily DUAL CHOP her way through them. And now.. wait.. is that a vine? Something brushes up against her to connect everyone taking the BLUE PATH on the right. She does her best to tuck it under her armpit, admittedly thankful for the connection to the rest of her peers.

"You doin' alright there, four-eyes?"

Damn, that sucked. Many-eyes was definitely better.

"Just think, girlfriend, at least you aren't getting wet!"

Mint let out a small laugh. “I think I’d almost prefer a beach than here.” He said to @rayne . “As long as you feel ok…I….feel fine for the most part. The pain’s numbing out now.” Though he wondered if it would be just as painful to lose these newfound abilities. He had a feeling it wouldn’t carry over if they left the tree. As the barista began to take off, he shouted at him trying to stave off the nervous energy. “See you at the finish line!” He would. He had to. It was going to be fine. The stranger transformation could’ve been a shared hallucination after all. [break][break]

Watching the Rockets disperse, Mint is quick about to move in the opposite direction of his friend, but not before giving a quick thumbs up and a wink at prince garrido . “I’m better now! A little achey, like I just had growing pains, but I can keep going.” He explained as he dusted himself off before nodding over in the direction, he was headed in. “Don’t take too long! You’re still on duty, Mr. Prince~” He said with a light tease before nodding over at Straciatella for her to follow. Mint headed onto the blue path, following the likes of Lulu Flint and her group. Even with the small light sources the group ahead was providing, Mint still didn’t trust that swamp. “Help me out Telly, I can help you do some work now.” He said as the ground got softer. As soon as his boots started to squish into much, Mint held up a hand beginning to coalesce cold energy into an orb in the palm of his hand. Moisture seemed to pull and gather form the swamp before he felt something click in his hand. He didn’t understand it, but it felt like his body was letting him know he was ready to go. Mint flexed hand expelling whatever energy had gathered into a path before him, refusing to sink into the muk of it all. His partner kept close watch on him following behind and stretching out her arm towards the vines Violet Fairbanks had set up, intent on using GRASS KNOT to link them to the main party once they got close enough. He perked up at the sound of another, familiar voice.[break][break]

By no means had the pressure within his chest subsided, but at the very least, it was more than a welcomed distraction from the ongoing changes that he’d been going through. Even as he glanced up to meet the woman’s gaze, he felt the skin upon his face shift and reform faintly, and by the time his eyes met hers (the same, royal blue irises outlined by a circle of what looked to be gold, and the sclera around either plummeted into a pure black), he’d absentmindedly lifted his hand and pressed a thumb to rub against several newly formed scales framing his cheek and jaw. ”Been better, but I’ll manage, I think~...” he murmured with a low, wry sigh, all with a small smile to match. Inhaling deeply, he tapped the aforementioned scales a couple of times before ultimately pressing the heel of his palm against his knee, pushing down upon it to aid him in rising from the ground. ”Been through worse, anyways. …Compared to that, this shit’s annoying at worst~.”[break][break]

A broader smile. A cursory glance towards their surroundings, and then to himself. Although noting the comments spoken to him, he found himself lifting his arms in examination of the newfound fins upon his arms, and - in little time following - turned faintly for the sake of peering over his shoulders and towards the tail hanging some ways behind him. ”Yeah, don’t worry about me, though,” he hummed, tilting his head fainty, lifting his tail and swaying at eye level before lowering it and glancing towards the numerous sources of illumination lighting the way- namely the one that his companion, herself, seemed to offer for them. ”You’re right, anyways,” he began to add. ”Mission or not, it’d lift a fair weight to keep an eye on everyone, in general. …Let’s go~.”[break][break]

And so, with his hand taken by hers (something he wouldn’t ever voice against, truthfully speaking), he allowed her to lead the way. He trudged through the terrain as well as he could, briefly shifting his attention towards the beloved drake accompanying him and offering a quick pat with the other hand, as well as an encouraging, ”Continuate cosi, mi amore~,” towards it, smiling as the advice was met but nothing short of another, gurgled cry, as well as another surge of energies around it as it trailed eagerly after them.[break][break]
