There was ice slipping inside of Locke’s coat as Pip-Pip tried to squirm his way out. ”Hold on! Hold on, just lemme-There!” He unzipped the thick jacket and watched the penguin tumble out face-first into the snow. He only felt a little bad for laughing.

Pip-Pip, however, was not as amused. The Piplup was rising to his feet, facing his trainer and puffing out his cheeks in what might’ve looked like the beginnings of a tantrum.

If their other Pokémon weren’t already diving out of the way.

”Nonono-” Locke tried to cover Pip-Pip’s beak, but the Brine slipped through their fingers with ease, raining freezing-cold water on everyone in the vicinity.

After Leon uses berries for the face, along with some rocks Razz examined it q bit more with a hand in his chin. SLEET AS WHITE AS KINGSMAN'S TOWEL

HOME ALONE is a time spent more productive than joining in on the snow filled horrors of a day outside. but fernando cannot keep his pokemon cooped up forever. while many find their exercise well and routine at the slateport gym, others require more finesse.

like his shaymin.

the adventurous little pet soars through the chilly skies without a care in the world. each little kick from its hind legs allow it to soar further, not unlike the magical sawsbuck fabled after saint nicholas.

while others enjoy their frivolities, fernando finds himself following after his dog. coincidentally, it strikes a fancy after razz’s snowman. the snowboy’s eiscue like appearance makes the perfect perch.

The impact of Eva Morales's snowball barely registers, caught by Remiel Calcifet's back as he hovers over her. Luka winces and offers an apologetic smile, brushing some snow off his lapels. It doesn't help much— snow covers him like so many layers of powdered sugar.[break][break]

She cranes her neck just in time to see MATIAS SILPH get his comeuppance.[break][break]

"Yeah!" she cheers with a happy laugh. "Get him! That's what you get for— ack![break][break]

Gentle snowfall gives way to cold slush, though poor Remiel shields her from most of the brine. She can't tell where it's coming from, but one of her other Pokemon can. Her Piplup chirps and waddles towards Locke Jamison's angry bird, attempting to soothe the other so her trainer doesn't end up completely soaked in the freezing snow.

for a second, andres looks alarmed to see him, and artemis shoves down a bit of disappointment. they're not friends, by any defnition of the word, but he's the closest thing artemis has here. maybe if reve zajac had been here, that wouldn't be the case- then again, if reve had been here, artemis probably would have tricked him into another snowball fight.

but he wasn't, because artemis was looking for gifts for him, and reve going with him ruined the surprise of what he was going to get.

the look andres buenaventura gave artemis was enough to make him realize it wasn't because of his arrival. the other man was eager to leave for some reason, and even if artemis had just gotten here- he wasn't planning to stay long, and if andres was really that eager to leave...he's more than ready to help look for chuchi, but-

luka's voice yells for help, and andres looks like a deerling in the headlights, suddenly. artemis tries to follow where he's looking, but instead he sees a shock of blue hair.

he freezes, like he's debating going to confront mint frost, almost glaring before andres speaks again. artemis blinks, turns back to them- and realizes he hasn't even answered Remiel Calcifet. neither of them have, honestly, until artemis signs a halfhearted 'sorry' to the man as he leaves, thoughts still preoccupied.

and then there were two, and- maybe artemis should leave. andres is offering, and if he doesn't get distracted again, he can still be back to the apartment with presents.

'okay. i do have to leave soon, though.' he hoped it was clear enough. they'd help each other stay out of sight of certain people, talk (just talk) and then artemis had to go and andres was on his own again.

unless he wanted to help artemis look for gifts for some reason.

With the simple plop noise on the snow, Razz looks to the headgehog that has perched itself on their little snowman. With how disruptive it was for a small moment Razz thought it was skyler dross's Galarian meowth that decided to ruin the Snowman. Though he does have to hold Cedar back as the bear seems to be pouting at the shaymin. "Why don't you try catching a snowflake on your tongue or something?" Razz offers the Kubfu who is still pouting in his arms before the ranger puts him down. [break][break]

After he takes a quick look around for his boss as the only person who had this pokemon was FERNANDO SILPH. Once he does he gives a bit of a wave, "Afternoon sir, didn't think you'd come to things like this," he greets while the fighting pokemon attempts what his trainer suggested.

The prince definitely receives much more snow than he's accounted for. He casts a quick look at Locke Jamison after the third assault, narrowing his eyes with brief annoyance before being forced to brace himself for another when MATIAS SILPH continues the volley. All that white powder gathers at his back like a mound before sliding off each side of him in piles. He doesn't let himself collapse on luka chêne .[break][break]

Despite his best efforts, the pink-haired lass still manages to get a face full of it. And, just as he thinks it's over, Eva Morales hits him with another. He can't tell it was intended for the girl under his protection. He shakes it off, however, and straightens in posture once more, letting all that snow slide off his back before the cold chill of water strikes it bare.[break][break]

It takes a lot of willpower on his account not to yelp and run for cover. That's when he realizes that 'cover' wasn't exactly doing its job right now. "Boris? You mind being a lad and helping us here?" He inquiries of his Arctozolt, allowing it a moment to assess the situation before waddling closer. Placing itself between the assaults and the two humans (luka chêne , Remiel Calcifet ), it inhales deeply before unleashing a frosty POWDER SNOW upon them all (Locke Jamison , Eva Morales , MATIAS SILPH , Nia Acadia ).[break][break]

In the powdery white haze that follows, the prince gently grasps Luka's hand and helps her up before swiftly attempting to whisk her away. "If we stay here any longer we'll be frozen." He chuckles with a tremble in his throat as water drips from his hair. So very, very cold.[break][break]

“What the- ?!” Snowballs escalate into cold slush and powdered snow. It’s the slush that knocks her back and beside the Snowboys. The winter jacket protects her ugly Christmas sweater from getting wet, but the coldness sinks in, regardless.

By now, her messy hair is soaking wet and the chill sinks in, manifesting down her limbs and spine with a shiver. In an attempt to warm herself up, she moves her arms and legs in the shape of a snow angel. The movement helps a bit but it’s frikken cold.

“I think I might need to go home now,” she sits up, shivering and smiling through blue lips, “Or at least get some hot cocoa or something.”

Razz Kingsman will find himself in a similar position as Martín del Mar. once an assumption is made and verbalized, fernando capitalizes. the natural follow up is to question their thinking and assault their presumptions.

with kingsman, it’s jokingly, a quick quip hidden behind as casual of a smile as fernando can muster.

likewise, the shaymin copies after the kubfu once it recognizes the snowflake melt against the pokemon’s tongue. in an upturn jut of its snout, the pokemon extends a warm, pink tongue.

but he should've expected Eva Morales to have retaliated as such. it's what he would've done as well.

covered in piplup's BRINE and arctozolt's POWDER SNOW, matias shivers from the cold, and once again he does his best luka chêne voice.

"bah!"

but, he laughs, and nods as he looks back at eva.

"hot cocoa sounds really nice."

standing, he looks at his jynx, then at Locke Jamison, Remi Cassel, and Nia Acadia. luka chêne's likely already gone off with Remiel Calcifet, a man matias recognizes only from his reputation.

She never held open train doors. The chances of Remi doing that for a complete stranger were low, but not impossible.

Unfortunately, she did have a soft spot for pretty girls with kind faces. And she almost certainly had held that stupid train door open for Miss Luka.

But only her.

She had to uphold her image of resting bitch face.

Remi awkwardly steps back after placing the scarf around Luka's neck, and in a whirlwind of events, a snowball fight breaks out. Somewhere along the way, she gets a fistful of snow down the front of her shirt- and she wished she hadn't just given away her nice scarf to a cute girl.

Luka, somewhere in between the moment before disaster strikes, manages to ask if the Cubchoo are hers. It is when she opens. her mouth to respond yes, the little devils are hers, that she eats snow.

And then there is hail. And more snowballs. Some of which she's thrown, too, because hell if she isn't going to fight back. Overwhelmed, Remi feels the metal of her jingle-bell earrings for her holiday-themed outfit (the bare minimum, because Christmas green and red do not fit her usual attire of black and grey) begin to burn in her ears.

She plucks them out, only to lose them in the snow as a crawling luka chêne approaches her when the snowball fighting ends.

"Uhh.. is everything alright?"

“S-Sorry! Here, I can um…” Locke stepped a safe distance from the snowboys before summoning Chiro-Chiro in between everyone, the Talonflame’s Flame Body akin to warming up next to a fireplace.

Hot cocoa sounded really good right about now, but somewhere between the adrenaline and the cold a dull ache had snuck in between his eyes. Fighting against all the emotions of actually being inside of a friend’s house for the first time in literally years could only make it worse.

But this was the second time MATIAS SILPH had made an offer like this, and it seemed rude to deny him again…

SLEET AS WHITE AS KINGSMAN'S TOWEL

“THAT WAS OUR VACATION,” he responds with a smile neatly tucked behind non-existent dimples. “two birds with one hot spring, kingsman.”

but the ranger is right. despite fernando’s own self-assessment of himself, razz describes him to a tee. the fact they’ve hung out enough to craft such an opinion only goes to show their closeness. no wonder shiv ships them.

“i’m here to visit the weather institute,” he eventually reveals. “while everyone enjoys this little mishap, i’ll be working with them to rectify it going forward.”

which fits his m.o. perfectly.

as snowflakes start to coat the pokemon’s tongue full of white specks, the barking from razz’s riolu breaks the shaymin out of the habit. it leaves a decorative paw print against the snowboy’s head before taking after the other pokemon.

Remi hesitates a moment longer, watching Luka and offering to help her to her feet should the woman accept her help.

In the meantime, however, it appears that her bundle of snot-nosed Cubchoo have caught wind of free sleigh-rides. Most of them, anyway. One trips, falls, tumbles into a heap. And, instead of getting to his feet, the little man instead proceeds to flail about and make little bear-sized snow angels.

The others, in the meantime, all bounce into the sled to harass the pair of Chingling tied to the bow. With a snap of the reins, the dressed-up Stantler drag the bears off.
