gorebyss. this reminded her of the two which had preyed upon her and . while she did want one, unfortunately, only one fish could be taken. she released it back to the water, and cast her line out again from milotic's serpentine back.

Martin would take a deep breath of the salty air of the ocean in front of and around him. "Ah yeah, that's the smell of summer right there!" He would exclaim. The Komala on his shoulder would squirm from the loud noise, and then calm down to a lull, snoring away its life. Martin would set up his chair and fishing tackle, a little tough for him, having one working arm makes a hell of a difference after all. He would attempt to bait his line, failing and almost messing up had it not been for his Malamar helping him line his hook with the bait. "Ah, thank you Agath." He said, letting go of his pole to rest against his body in order to put his hand on the top of his Malamar. The Malamar would hesitate, but then take the gesture in the last moment. The Munchlax at his legs would tug at his swimming shorts. "Alright, alright, calm down. Let's see if I can actually catch..." Martin would ready the pole behind him, causing the line to extend outward before making a movement towards the ocean. "Anything!"

That was a really tiny slab of Magikarp sashimi on the end of the line.

Much tempted as he was to filet the fish right then and there (because they were right at the sea, so readily-available source of salt) he decided not to, and threw the weenie-Karp back into the water.

Well dang, turned out his musings netted him another big one: he did have to reel this one in (with some Psychic-assisted aid), but he was able to pull it out of the water. A brand new Horsea - and a big one at that! Really big!

He was also pretty sure he could hear 's voice. Was he fishing here as well?

But before he could look and greet him, he felt another tug on his line.

Dunk tank? Diving for Clamperls? Surfing on a Mantine? No, none of those seemed like they'd fit into ordinary life too. But fishing—that she could see herself taking up again at some point, maybe not regularly, but definitely occasionally, just as a way to relax and spend some time outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and the hope for a nice, rewarding catch. As they always said, fishing was a skill that could help you throughout your life, and maybe it would help her too, at least a little.
