Razz felt like he was going to fall over himself as a wave of relief hit him as the Guzzlord turn into some poisonous blob to dissolve in the water. He looked over to Wyn who finished up his healing and gave a salute to his trainer. "Just try and keep yourself safe," he told the boy who thanked him not entirely believing some young teen should be out here fighting, but its not like he was going to stop them. It was the destruction of the bridge that held up Cycling Path which brought his attention back once more. He groaned slightly thinking they would have a chance to rest for a moment before continuing but they were in war he should have thought better. At the call to keep going by the ex-gym leader Razz whistled for Cobalt. [break][break]

With MAGNET RISE still in effect moving wasn't going to be a problem for them as Razz and Whis jumped on them and headed north with Wyn running beside. The ranger making sure to return Flygon back to his pokeball for now as he wanted the dragon to rest for a bit before continuing as they've already been out longest just to get him here. A small pauses is given when a worm hole opens up from above and a roar is heard. Well this was just their luck but they needed to keep going as it seemed the thing that had knocked the bridged down earlier was another Guzzlord. With a knock on Cobalt's helm he had the steel pokemon keep going taking a glance as the Naganadel coming from the forest, but with several trainers from before attacking them, and even more impressive a large black beast coming from the forest as well. Part of him wanted to get his eyes check as he was pretty sure he saw Remiel riding that thing. [break][break]

How could any of this get crazier?[break][break]

Thoughts he would soon regret as the Guzzlord roared and called on a DRACO METEOR. "Wyn teleport us to cover," he was quick to order as the bladed pokemon TELEPORTED them under the parts of Cycling Road that was still in tack. Cobalt's MAGNET RISE the only thing keeping them move the water as Razz returned Gallade to lessen the load for now. "Whis PROTECT," he ordered wanting to have a second form of defense in case the meteors hit the bridge and then that would be what they would have to worry about. [break][break]

Once the attack was over he would knock on Metagross again to let the pokemon go forward telling him the plan. As they rushed forward Cobalt would use PSYCHIC to grab the debris from the destroyed road before sending the derbies to attack Guzzlord. Cobalt finally moving them on top cycling road once more cause it seemed two of their group were already heading toward the plant so he felt the best he could contribute to was retaking the road from the high ground.

as the path is cleared the sight of the terrain forming up around the power plant was the tell tale signs that something was happening over there. then a giant portal opened up in teh sky above them followed by meteors and more nagadaniels and floating cubes oh my! "tch. scyther return. shiftry, venomoth, protect us." the two got to work with the grass type forming a swirling leaf tornado around the group to deter foes from approaching them while the venomoth flew up to the mouth of the storm and aimed a gust at the incoming meteors to try and alter their path to make them miss them.

kaine then took out another pokeball and released his ditto that looked up at kaine. the ninja pointed at the large guzzlord that was still up and kicking the rest of the league forces, "transform into that." could the ditto even do that? having such a beast on their side would probably tip the scales in their favor even if it was an alien. so with a little dance the ditto started to morph its body to try and mimic the physiology of the guzzlord.

WAR OF THE WORLDS RAID

SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER

THIRD DAY OF THE WAR

GUZZLORD & NAGANADEL SWARM

AS THE ENTIRETY OF THE ROUTE is rocked with the tremors of battle, the next couple of minutes devolves into the conflict's most chaotic sequence thus far.[break][break][break]

While Rex Drago narrowly evades lasers and smoldering meteors, he sweeps through with his Aerodactyl's HYPER BEAM before landing by the last Guzzlord. As Lulu Flint tends to Rex Drago in her unique way, her Blaziken darts forth with FLAME BURST to strike the remaining glutton. Her Golisopod uses LIQUIDATION on several low-swinging Stakataka cubes; however, one manages to shoot a powerful laser at its hide. Her Golisopod screams, writhing in pain as it pleads for help.[break][break][break]

She is joined swiftly by Thomas Benoit who drops gigi bae off. As his Hydreigon weaves through artillery his Clawitzer pulses AURA SPHERE from its claws as Stakataka cubes whip around the air.[break][break][break]

Likewise, gigi bae lands alongside her expelled Venusaur. As a swarm of Naganadel soars across the skies, her electric-type Pokemon and Venusaur combat their onslaught with an illuminated blizzard of petals. As DRACO METEORS upheave the earth around Andy Blackadder, he manages to fly away on his Yanmega. Despite its injured form, a HYPNOSIS buys enough time for Moana Reyes's Pokemon to fling the sleepy Naganadel against one another.[break][break][break]

Lasers cut into the earth, boring holes into unsuspecting trainers and Pokemon alike. As Stakataka swerve in the skies like migratory birds, Adrian Malcolm's Mega Gyarados launches a powerful THUNDER in the middle of the Naganadel swarm. A REFLECT pitter-patters violently as the poisons strike its screen. In the water, the red serpent would be able to swim quickly over to the Guzzlord and grassy path should it desire.[break][break][break]

The ninja, Kaine Ikari, arrives in a gale of LEAVES and VENOMOTH SCALES. Poison splashes away from the plants Kaine Ikari summons his Ditto. As the pink imposter begins to TRANSFORM, the foreign make of the Ultra Beast causes the Pokemon to struggle. In the end, the Ditto TRANSFORMS into a WADDLING GUZZLORD CLAW.[break][break][break]

cait alfric wisely decides to pull back, avoiding an onslaught of lasers. The residual scent is bitter, as if the air itself has burned black. As her Braviary disorients the Naganadel swarm with a WHIRLWIND, she would be able to witness the explosive appearance of a large, black dragon. Sparking with electricity, Remiel Calcifet's mount soars through the skies as his Pokemon offer further help with SIGNAL BEAMS and LIGHT SCREENS before his Shadow Druddigon smashes a Stakataka cube to the earth.[break][break][break]

THE CYCLING ROAD

THE CYCLING ROAD IS CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE. Naganadel swoop down to toss soldiers off the elevated road. Poisons splatter across Pokemon, causing even the most battle-hardened Shiftry to succumb to the onslaught.[break][break][break]

While Raziel Beckett's Zeraora provides him and his party with cover, his Metagross hurls chunks of bridge concrete at the Guzzlord. He's raised to the upper level by the steel arachnid's MAGNET RISE and witnesses the group of trainers in the middle of their Silvally struggle.[break][break][break]

Atop dominic sinclair's Steelix, circe crowley commands her Pokemon. Poison and laser fire batter the Steelix's mighty hide, but the Pokemon holds steadfast. Her Dragapult retaliates with deft DRAGON DARTS as several cubes become PARALYZED BY SPORES. As she surrounds herself in protective barriers, she watches as marcel maeda's corrupted Type: Null leaps. dominic sinclair is swift to act. His Pokemon advance like shadows, and as they strike, a MOONBLAST from marcel maeda's Gardevoir causes it to raise its front legs whike shrieking. dominic sinclair's Darkrai rematerializes to FOCUS PUNCH the Silvally off of its paws to save marcel maeda from its bite. The chimera skids against the littered bridge, sliding closer to Samuel Boothe.[break][break][break]

Samuel Boothe's Alakazam saves its owner from the edge. A laser chips the bridge where he once was, and as he rematerializes on the road, he sees Raziel Beckett and the rest of his Rocket partners engaged in their conflicts. As Stakataka cubes swing forth, dominic sinclair's Steelix lurches to SMACK DOWN several to a lower height. circe crowley holds tight as marcel maeda's Golduck and Clefable fire MUD BOMBS while Samuel Boothe, not to be outdone, provides his own attacks in the form of SCALDS and THUNDERBOLTS.[break][break][break]

As marcel maeda's Silvally comes to, it swings toward Samuel Boothe. Cloaking itself with an immense energy, the chimera rushes toward Samuel with a MULTI-ATTACK (a move never before seen)— and the distraction allows a Stakataka cube enough time to reposition. A laser fires and bores a hole through Samuel Boothe's Manectric's chest. The electric-type dog wails and crumples, panting for breath as its lungs fail to inflate.[break][break][break]

BLACEPHALON BOMB

AS SABLEYE MEGA EVOLVES, its pure gem is wielded like a tower shield. As lasers deflect off its beautiful sheen, Katherine Fairburne and Cillian Quinn fly on Corviknight toward the Power Plant. Tossing out Blacephalon, she would notice several Megalopolans reeling in fear or confusion.[break][break][break]

Lasers ricochet off of Cillian Quinn's Mega Corviknight as the Underboss' Metagross tears into several Megalopolan soldiers. His Lycanroc is barely recalled as the bird is slowed, and he would watch as an incredibly unstable Ultra Wormhole is opened.[break][break][break]

She leaps into the Ultra Wormhole, the energy of the portal swirling all around her. As her Blacephalon disconnects its head to prepare for detonation upon terminating the portal— several things happen. Lucas Lane, on his Ditto-Corviknight fly into the portal before Cillian Quinn's eyes.[break][break][break]

Like Katherine Fairburne, he becomes briefly suspended in the terrible vexing swirling and spinning of Utra Space. Unaccustomed to such travel, Lucas Lane would find that his Ditto immediately reverts back to its original form. However, more alarmingly, the other opening of the Ultra Wormhole seems to have difficulty maintaining its shape. An unknown source from Hoenn's realm is impeding its opening— for kyle lopez's Cosmoem begins to close the wormhole up with Lucas Lane and Katherine Fairburne inside.[break][break][break]

As Head Scientist Lucas Lane summons STEALTH ROCKS in front of the Blacephalon to attempt to block the bomb's trajectory, Katherine Fairburne would shout. The Blacephalon hurls its head— and as the bomb strikes invisible rocks, the powerful force of its Z-MOVE causes it to hit its mark. Relatively. Delayed by Lucas Lane and Cosmoem, the bomb is flung out of the portal moments before detonation.[break][break][break]

The Ultra Wormhole closes with Lucas Lane and Katherine Fairburne inside.[break][break][break]

THE EXPLOSION

SURROUNDED BY FORCES, kyle lopez consumes his SACRED ASH. The ash glows as howls ring around the area. The three legendary dogs rush into the obscured, misty area with powerful attacks. Megalopolan troops scatter in confusion, and as his Sivally attempts to bite at kyle lopez's neck, his Manectric mega evolves with a deafening roar of THUNDER. Megalopolan troops scream as they're electrified, finding escape impossible as they collide with the barriers of STONE caused by kyle lopez's Entei. Lights flicker dramatically across the grisly visages of Philomera and Jules— and cast kyle lopez's in an intimidating hue.[break][break][break]

Philomera and Jules withdraw— hastily taking cover as STONE EDGE and DARK VOID burns through several forces; however, it is the rapidly expanding ball of flame that forces their retreat.[break][break][break]

As Katherine Fairburne's Blacephalon's Z-MOVE makes its appearance as a fiery sun through the mist, the bomb does not make it directly to the Power Plant. Instead, it explodes immediately outside of the opening. The resulting explosion, still rocks the entire route. Raikou peels away from the generator, the machine dented and torn apart from its attacks— but also from the resulting shockwave of the explosion.[break][break][break]

Silvally is tossed off of kyle lopez and as he and his Pokemon are catapulted away, the earth peels away from the sheer force. kyle lopez and his Pokemon are thrown into the sea as the explosion threatens to char him alive. Raikou, Suicune and Entei leap away, retreating from the site to reconvene after the bomb settles.[break][break][break]

Remiel Calcifet is forced to pull back, the bomb's detonation large enough for everyone to see. dominic sinclair, marcel maeda, Raziel Beckett, Samuel Boothe and circe crowley watch as the final segment attaching the Cycling Road to the earth on the side of the Power Plant is obliterated. The resulting shockwave knocks them and the Silvally to their feet. Slabs of concrete batter their bodies.[break][break][break]

As Balder Schwartz attempts to rush toward the Power Plant, he would find the distance is much too far for what he wants to accomplish. Despite Mega Camerupt's strength, EARTH POWER can not erect bridges. Instead, the earth is uprooted and upheaved, causing some of the sea to part as mini-islands of sand and sediment are spiked above sea level. Still, he rides a ramp of earth to leap with his Galarian Rapidash— but the bomb's expanding force catches him in his mad dash. He and his DAZZLING GLEAMING Rapidash are hurled back by the explosion, and he crashes into the burning grass path below the Cycling Road. His Rapidash lays almost motionless, pleading for life, for its legs are broken.[break][break][break]

Similarly, Bailey Cooper attempts to shield herself from the attacks. However, she's close to the airborne detonation. As her Pokemon protect her, the earth tears up around her. The force of the bomb upheaves her tunnel and as her Pokemon are flung out, she lands on a fiery stretch of grass. Her Togekiss' chest seems to be caved in from the impact or the bomb itself, wings fluttering weakly as it begs for breath.[break][break][break]

THE AFTERMATH

AN EERIE SILENCE SETTLES UPON THE WARFRONT. In the aftermath of detonation, the bomb's damage can be seen. The entire earth above where the Power Plant is has been blown away, exposing the underground facility. However, more striking, is the odd cables that sprawl within its hallways. Philomera and Jules are no where to be seen— until a balled knot of black cables bulges out. The Generals leave through a gap in the cordage unscathed.[break][break][break]

In the distance, Philomera sees Zekrom. Its presence is unmistakable. And with a smile, she calls upon the Xurkitree to unearth itself entirely. The whole route quakes as thick, tree-trunk cables uproot from the ground. Like a giant, the Xurkitree hauls itself to its feet, shaking chunks of earth from its limbs. It is easily, the largest and tallest thing any of you have seen, for each sparking limb as thick as several fields. Sky high, Philomera and Jules are ants on the shoulders of the tall Xurkitree.[break][break][break]

It glows, beginning to charge more electricity when it raises its two arms, claws of exposed copper sparking like lightning.[break][break][break]

The Guzzlord near the Cycling Road finally succumbs to its wounds. Everyone's collective efforts made it weak enough for it be finished off by Katherine Fairburne's Blacephalon. Despite one threat leaving, there are still Megalopolan troops that have survived. However, the literal mountain of electric cables causes any celebration to be cut short.[break][break][break]

marcel maeda and kyle lopez's Silvally recover quickly. As they attempt to locate their "owners" they snarl, their bodies engulfed in the energy of a MULTI-ATTACK as they aggressively approach their injured frames.[break][break][break]

WITHIN THE WORMHOLE

AS THE WORMHOLE CLOSES, Cillian Quinn has a chance to slip in should he wish. However, to do so would mean being trapped within the pandemonium of Ultra Space.[break][break][break]

Within this world, where one can not discern up from down and west from east, Lucas Lane and Katherine Fairburne would find themselves spinning around the crackling, web-like space. With Blacephalon fainted from the sheer power of its move, they find themselves stranded.[break][break][break]

However, Ultra Space is different now. Not that Lucas Lane and Katherine Fairburne would know. The FUTURE SIGHT from earlier becomes more clear. Here, within the wormhole, space and time seem to be torn apart. Scenes from different worlds flicker around the tunnel like television screens struggling to find the right frequency. The tunnel sinks in places and expands in others, like a bloated stomach or punctured lung.[break][break][break]

They see a Hoenn with a Mauville City that is outdoors, a man with Articuno in a Littleroot Beauty Contest— but this man is no Laurence Anderson, and a colony in what appears to be space. However, the stranded trainers see two separate rifts. They reveal a dark dimension. Water flows from all directions, and like the poetic void, darkness seems to consume everything within. Should they stare in, they find that two pairs of red eyes stare back.[break][break][break]

Touching any of these rifts feels like glass. You can not slip into them— however, within this ever gyrating portal, you can see three Wormhole openings: one directly above you, one directly below, and one directly to your left.[break][break][break]

Rex tried to wrench away as something grabbed him, "Don't you-" His wild voice cut off as the slap cracked across his cheek. Immediately, he fell back, affronted eyes glring up at Lulu Flint, "Ow, why'd ya hit me!?" Bile stung his throat, and tears sprung up at the stinging in his cheek, but he was here, he was present. [break][break]

The water bug's injury drew his attention seconds before a terrible boom rocked his world, he could swear the very air vibrated as he covered his head futilely...before something far more terrifying rose from the explosion's aftermath. The other monsters? They were specks already compared to them, he only wondered if the gargantuan thing could even see them, but he wasn't hanging around to see. "Oh God! Oh shit! We gotta go!" He yelled like it wasn't already obvious.[break][break]

Another stranger rolled in (Adrian Malcolm), but Rex spared no thanks as he leapt upon the Gosliopod's shoulder, helped by a push from One, and patted it. "Up, get up here!" He barked at his friend, eyes jerking around frantically as he addressed the bug, "I don't know if you see this, big guy, but we'd like to go, fast!" [break][break]

The Mega Evolution wore off, and One couldn't bare to use a true attack, but the fossil picked up the thrown down supplies in its mouth before it would also flee, loyally after Rex. Still clinging to the fossil, Four used Calm Mind, finding much to calm down from and the draconian Haxorus and Armaldo acted as vanguard and defense, slashing at anything that dared approach the group with Dual Chop and Fury Cutter. the scene plays out as though in slow motion. [break][break]

dominic’s head jerks up to watch the events happen in sequence; two corviknight circling in the sky - one that he recognises as Cillian Quinn’s - then the yawning portal opening up as blacephalon emerges courtesy of his passenger. the tame beast detaches its head off of its body, and dominic thinks he knows what kind of blast to expect but he was wrong this time. [break][break]

the ensuing explosion visually appears tiered as dust, dirt and seawater are all ripped from the earth. impulse drives dominic to take cover as dust and debris blow over him and those in close proximity. when it all settles he rises slowly, as if testing his limbs and muscles for injury, and though he feels the warmth of blood trickling down the side of his face and along his neck no feeling of pain seems to register. [break][break]

gaze fixed on the sky, dominic blinks at his peer, incredulous, as he and his corviknight also disappear into the wormhole. a quick glance tells him all his pokemon are accounted for, albeit they’re covered in a layer of dust. the silvally stirs in the debris and dominic makes an irritated noise in the back of his throat before glancing back up to whistle for his steelix. [break][break]

the pokemon will lurch down beside him and dominic will inch forward to reach for marcel maeda and pull him back from the silvally - with probably a little more force than needed. he holds up a pokeball for luxray and the pokemon catches the cue as it lights up bright and lunges at the silvally’s eyes and retreats just as quickly with VOLT SWITCH. in that moment, with silvally’s vision hopefully limited, dominic leaps onto his steelix and pulls marcel maeda along too as they join circe crowley. [break][break]

the underboss taps his alcremie and points at marcel with a murmured, “make one of him for me real quick.” the pokemon turns its gaze to marcel and spins up a dead-eyed, boneless duplicate with SUBSTITUTE. dominic shrugs and tosses the marcel doll down for the silvally; hopefully it’s dumb enough to fall for the ploy, if only for a moment. [break][break]

as the steelix sets off toward the power plant, its travel is directed to be as swift and as close to the ground as is reasonable. nearing their destination, they coast over where Samuel Boothe and his injured manectric are, and although healing is provided by his colleagues the exchange is otherwise brief; dominic’s gaze is fixed at the smouldering power plant and the towering ultra beast. [break][break]

as they draw nearer, most of the movement below them is ignored as league rangers and the like rise from the debris and tend to their own wounds, their own dead. however, when dominic’s togekiss chirps and dips down in the air, dominic actually glances down to parse the ground below and calls his steelix to hover. he catches sight of two human figures, a clawitzer and an bloodied togekiss between; dominic recognises one of them and smirks as he pulls off the mask covering the lower part of his face. “not looking too hot there, champ,” he calls out to Bailey Cooper. though his smile is razor-sharp and his tone taunting, as his gaze gravitates back toward the power plant and the newly emerged ultra beast, dominic’s expression turns inscrutable. he heaves a sigh, glances toward the togekiss and inclines his head toward the wounded pokemon. “go on,” he says slowly. “help out your boyfriend.” [break][break]

his togekiss flutters down and taps into an esoteric power to perform a healing METRONOME for its winged counterpart. dominic looks on for a long moment and waits for the pokemon to finish before turning his attention back to bailey and jerking his head toward the xurkitree. “hey, ain’t it your job to take care of...?” [break]

When Razz arrived on top cycling road with the thanks of Cobalt he wasn't expecting crazy. Well not crazier than the whole alien thing they were all currently dealing with. Over the course of the, what week now(?), he's gotten used to Megalopolans and a few of their ultra beast but this was new. A white chimera beast attacking a group and then some pitch-black pokemon whose looks would be best described as what kids say the bogyman looks like. Though to him the most problematic of the bunch was the man from the Lighthouse (Marcel). Just seeing them had his paranoia flare up to red levels. [break][break]

Not that he had much time to react to any of what was taking place in front of him as the sound of an explosion hit, clearly a big one as the shockwave knocks him back making Cobalt taking a more protective roll as they catch their trainer with one leg, and allows Whis to hide behind another. Razz grunting in pain as all he could do was brace himself from some of the incoming debris. Seemed like everything just wanted to get worse and worse as what filled the air was mostly a ringing left after after the explosion. Though if his old training taught him anything it was action need to be taken, don't just sit and be a bystander. [break][break]

With one of the men ordering his shadow pokemon to attack the white beast that was chasing the Steelix they were riding Razz figured this would be the best time to leave. Since the explosion had already taken out the Guzzlord, a large portion of the bridge, and knocked town aliens into the water Razz no longer had a need to be there, especially anywhere near Lighthouse guy. With a slap on their head Cobalt jumped of the bridge with Razz and Whis on their legs, floating with the use of MAGNET RISE. Razz would have made sure to whistle at Whis to use PROTECT again in case anything attacked them while over the water and toward the flaming road. [break][break]

"The hell is that?" Razz couldn't help but question as he held onto his Metagross as all he could do for the moment was watch some wired creature literally tower above the electrical plant as the arrived on the road noting the downed Rapidash. Shit. "Cobalt do what you can do douse the fires," he ordered as Razz jogged over toward Balder Schwartz and his Raphidash as he called out Wyn to use LIFE DEW. The psychic pokemon trusting the others to keep him covered as he released a blue aura like a ripple to heal Rapidash, Balder, and his own trainer from their injuries. The gallade did what he could to focus slightly more on the unnicorn pokemon as he was sure both trainers could deal with a bit of injury. [break][break]

While Gallade did that Metagross used PSYCHIC in order to grab a decent amount of water to put out any fires near them to relive the group from any problems with that. "Balder right?" pretty sure that was the name he read from the article of the ex-gym leader, "Any ideas on taking on that?" he gestures his head to the kiju made of wires it looks they would all have to deal with. After all they were a Gym leader maybe they'd have some good ideas.

• Razz calls out his Gallade.
  
• Gallade uses LIFE DEW to try and stable Rapidash, doing it's best to focus more on her even if his move would also help the trainers.
