After it's over, he pipes up: "Our first combo of the night, and our panel is ecstatic about it! As the night wears on, they see a spectacle in Mandibuzz' Steel Wing, the lights glinting off the lustrous sheen of its attack. A clamorous Hyper Beam from Inteleon threatens to send the stadium into a panic, with a more solemn and hope inspiring performance by Sigilyph and its trainer to regain the crowd's faith in their safety. The range of their contestants gives the judges a tough time assessing the most prominent actors, causing them to slip on the classification of a move...[break][break]

Timing is everything for Dewott as the lighting dims in a theatric display, followed up by a phenomenal feat of strength and speed by Greninja. In a dance of dragon and dagger, Garchomp maneuvers across the stage, invoking powerful flames that wreath its trainer in a bedazzling display. And lastly the most adorable of their performers executed a final, resounding combo that the judges couldn't help but lap up greedily. And just like that, the lights dimmed, a single spotlight flicking to Adrian. "Alright ladies and gents..."[break][break]

"We've only just gotten started, but the judges are already beginning to size up the competitors... While they hash out their scores, we're allowing for a brief intermission. Please see yourselves to the lavatories or other facilities as you require..." He waved to the exits.[break][break]

Everybody loves prizes! Luka is holding a Dowsing Machine in her hands, the device glowing faintly. She brandishes it with a flourish and a bright, cheeky grin. "We've had no shortage of dazzling performances today, but here's something that'll really catch your eye! The Dowing Machine! This handy gadget will reveal even the most well hidden items— the perfect tool for an explorer on the go!"[break][break]Her Shinx yips in agreement, electricity crackling near his mouth to match the glowing orbs of the Dowsing machine. As Luka brandishes it, the colors change from white to blue, to a bright, bright red.[break][break]

Lemon's Shock Wave amplifies the effects of the device, making the glowing baubles shine even brighter. A circle of electricity spreads out from Lemon in a wide diameter that spans nearly the entire stage. The aftereffects make the affected area of the Dowsing Machine glow, and several sparkles seem to emanate from different points on the ground.[break][break]
Lemon makes a show of seeking out a sparkling spot and pouncing on it. When he does, he reveals a secretly hidden item![break][break]

"Wow! What's this?" Lemon pounces on the rest of the locations indicated by the Dowsing Machine and tosses out each item as a gift for the delighted crowd: rare candies, lemonades, a few berries. "Don't be too shocked! Your results may be even more electrifying, so get out there and try out a Dowsing Machine of your own!"

“I’m proud to announce a new product from the Wrynn Corporation.” Rowan began as he strode onto the stage, his Inteleon following closely behind. “We’ve developed a new unique beverage that can help anyone keep cool on these warm Hoenn days.” He produced a remote from his pocket, clicking one of the buttons to show an image on the screen of the product in question.

“Introducing the Inteleon Blast! A Juice Drink that is made with all natural ingredients and naturally sweetened with sugar. Free of artificial colors, flavors and preservatives for a guilt-free drinking experience.” Rowan felt ridiculous but this was the part he needed to play considering he couldn’t use a move this round to increase his appeal.

“Let Inteleon Blast away your thirst, today!” God he felt cheesy, but he hoped this would appeal to someone out there.

Kaida grimaced as she was presented with her own chosen "advertisement", how tacky.

Nonetheless, she was sure she could make this work. Muspel was already showing off moves that were strange for a Charizard, this would likely cap it off nicely.

"Introducing the Magnet, your perfect booster for all electric moves." Her voice was monotone, sounding terribly bored, but the audience wouldn't be paying attention to her anyway, "Make a thunderstorm."

Tossing the Magnet into the air, Kaida smiled as Muspel activated Thunder Punch, the lightning curling off her claws as she reached out and grasped the Magnet. Instantly, lightning exploded off the Charizard, who showed her fangs in a proud smile as she looked to the audience, looking more the eye of the storm than a fire-type.

Yes, that did nicely.

who else would he ask to sponsor his performance for the advertisement but none other than Zac Ramsay himself-- the king, the legend, the man himself. it is only fair to show off his product for having christened the drink a series that befits a champion's brand.

as explosive as the ceo of charja-cola™ is, kyle had asked the producers his requests upon this stage of the game. kyle walks up to the center of the stage, and walking alongside him was his manectric, strutting with her chest puffed out and head held high. behind the manectric was a mini fridge on wheels being pulled on a sled.

the manectric's static was enough to power up the mini fridge, even more so than usual as evidenced when cold, opaque mist spews out of it the moment kyle opens it up to take the product he's advertising.

"charja-cola kyle krush, everyone!"

he shakes it in front of the audience and then tosses it to his manectric, who catches it with her fangs without puncturing it. she walks up the very edge of the stage and holds the can outwards, showing the drink to the audience.

"what's your favorite fruit flavor for cola? doesn't matter, since kyle krush has it all! this summer themed drink was limited edition, but for this special occasion, you can have a taste of its fruit punch goodness just this day! head over to the stand by the end of this contest, and we got you!"

kyle snaps, and with it, the manectric multiplies itself with double team. the copies of the manectric all toss their drink overhead, catching it with their mouth once again, all with perfect timing.

"charja-cola also provides you with multiple other flavors for your own convenience if fruit isn't your taste, but let's be real, kyle krush crushes the competition."

on cue, sparks fly out of the stage. the manectric also crushes their respective cans, though only one of them actually gets wet. it gets rid of the copies, but the manectric still looks proud herself regardless.

Unlike others here, Maverick didn’t have a sponsor or a company that wanted him to promote their business. That being said, he had to be creative… and fast.

Reaching into jacket, the man pulled out a pair of all black aviators and put them on. And by some stupid luck, he had an extra pair for his mandibuzz. Placing them securely on her face, the man motioned for her to follow with a wave. He whispered “follow my lead” as he moved center stage. And for once, the trainer actually addressed the audience.

“Do you ever experience such intense light that you need a pair of glass?” Maverick turned to his mandibuzz, giving her nodding. The avian took to the sky, rising above her trainer. Her wings took on a low reddish glow. She then swirls, sending out waves of brilliant fire hot waves of heat with each full twirl. This not only sent out immense amount of heat, but practically blinding the audience.

Once the HEAT WAVE dissipated, Maverick couldn’t help the grin that spread across his lips. “I could see everything with these fancy pair of aviators. Not only help you see in intense light, but look stylish too. Grab a pair for yourself online or in stores today.” Mandibuzz lowered herself to stand next to her master, her one wing opened up behind her trainer while her master crossed his arms in a cool pose.

Dewott was running up one of those gray formless ramps that appeared step by step out of the darkness. Water beaded on her fur in close-up, ultra high-definition imagery. Texture. Crazy texture. You could see every fucking hair. Some of them were probably computer generated.

The camera tracked the Dewott in slow motion as it hurled itself fearlessly off the edge of the ramp, the edges of its fur shining bright blue compared to its shapeless, pitch black surroundings.

A glow lit up the darkness as it fell towards the camera, somersaulting midair to shatter an almost-invisible wall of ice with an IRON TAIL that fractured across screen with a chilling icicle-chime. The cracks reverberated, racing across screen with a soft, satisfied ahhh.

PEPPERMINT STEEL, whispered a throaty male (?) voice, emphasizing the deeply dramatic and masculine nature of the ad. BREAK INTO FRESHNESS.

…It was one of those damn gum commercials.

As her previous participant before her steps down from the stage, Lyssa comes with an assortment of drumming sets - However, unlike any drumming sets it comes out with different sizes and some of them are even bigger or smaller than the conventional. "Have you ever think about playing music with your Pokemon? Jamming together and create a masterpiece?" Lyssa asks with excitement - "Well, now you can with the newest product from the Chimecho Chime where all your musical need at - The PokeDrum Set!. A sturdy drum set that can withstand pokemon moves and comes with different sizes to accommodate different sizes of pokemon." The excitement in her voice keeps higher and higher as she points her finger upward shooting to the sky where Sigilyph rose to the sky furling her wings as if readying for something. [break][break]

"Hit it Horus! Play the music of your soul by using PSYCHO CUT!" Lyssa swings her arm down as the signal where the wings of Sigilyph starts to glow and he expands it unleashing a purple blade flies through the air hitting the drumset around him. Every hit creating a different tone depending on the size of the drum, the interval creates harmony and the whole experience creates a masterpiece. A piece of music with the hint of a rock and roll vibe, apparently he got influenced a bit from the time Lyssa listen to some rock and roll music in the past. Some time passes and the music starts to end which is the cue for Lyssa to talk once again. "Chimecho Chime - Plays your chime alongside your pokemon" Lyssa closes her act with the motto of the shop. Pretend that this is Sigilyph and the psycho cut hit drumset instead of Mega Charizard. :D

The lights switch off and, for a few moments, the entire contest hall dwells in darkness.[break][break]

Before long, however, a pair of spotlights break this murky dark and fix themselves upon a large box of curry slowly descending from above. Remiel's smooth voice emerges from the speakers filling the auditorium.[break][break]

"BYC Royal Curry: a staple of Galarian cuisine for centuries now arriving to Hoennian markets all across the region. Experience authentic taste with a selection of handpicked spices to provide some good mood for your every food. Because real tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire."[break][break]

With that, the large box of curry hanging in the air suddenly splits open, and the stage below is covered in a cloud of red curry powder as music fills the air. Though once enveloped in shadow, blue flames ignite out the sides of Damkina's mouth as she stands at the center of this stage. Then, with the bright explosive light of a MEGA EVOLUTION, the dragon emerges in a flurry of twin scythes, dancing in that cloud of smoky scarlet as the flames continue to rage out from her mouth (OUTRAGE).[break][break]

Just prior to the ending of exciting score filling the air, the Garchomp leaps into the sky before crashing back down and throwing her head back with a proud roar. The sheer force of her energy serves to dissipate the surrounding cloud of curry powder, filling the contest hall with a rich aromatic aroma.[break][break]

"Alright everyone, back to your seats! The Judges are ready to get the next round rolling!" After an extensive set of advertisements run for the sake of meeting their sponsors' demands, the audience begins filing back into their seats, eager to see what awaits them as the stage is unveiled and key renovations have been made during the intermission.[break][break]

Adrian tears open an envelope given to him by one of the judges, silently perusing its contents before announcing it in shorthand. "It looks like we've got an interesting round ahead of us," Adrian remarks with a marked interest. "This is a cooperative round between contestants. Groupings have been determined based on contestant scores, which you can see—" Adrian gestures to the leaderboard, which had adjusted to show the groupings. "And it looks like they want to see some battling, so let's get on with it!"

OOC: Using no more than 300 words you are once again competing directly! This round will feature a special twist: You are clustered into GROUPS that will be competing against two others teams made up of the other contestants! In this way your entire team's jammers and appeals will be added up together and treated as a single entity. Meaning for this round, jammers will STACK with one another, but do not detract from your previous scoring. Please note that while appeals and jams stack, secondary effects aren't shared with the team.[break][break]

You are encouraged to work together and to come up with a TEAM NAME that will be received by the crowd and the judges based on the contest's rating parameters.[break][break]

Some of you have earned a special token, or a STAR "☆" that has a special function. For now, you are allowed to know that it will be used as a tiebreaker at the end of the event. However, functions may be added later that allow one to sacrifice the star for something useful later down the road.[break][break]

Kaida looked upon her two teammates, Eylyssa Kay and Remiel Calcifet, and nodded at them. Their Pokemon were competent, and she trusted they would be able to catch up now that they were in a battle. "We'll wash them away." She had no idea of what to name their team, however, and would leave it to more creative minds.

Muspel launched into the air, aiming to support the two Pokemon with her presence. She didn't breath flames, claw, or even launch slicing winds. No, she Leered, and snarled dreadfully. Not many Pokemon could look upon the sight and act in a cool manner, not while also under attack.

A presence on the battlefield, she aimed to distract from the air. Too many cooks in the kitchen after all, burnt the soup.

Quite frankly, Luka is astounded by how well everything is going.[break][break]They'd definitely started off as underdogs in this competition, but look at them now! Everybody loves a comeback story, it seems. The cheers of the audience are intoxicating and terrifying all at once, stirring up a molotov cocktail of adrenaline between herself and her Shinx.[break][break]

But it's too early to be basking in success! The next round presents a unique challenge, but it's one that she likes— teamwork makes the dream work, after all! After some brief discussion they have a plan and a rather catchy team name. Luka beams as she heads onstage with her Pokemon, confident that together, the three of them can keep the tide turned in their favor![break][break]

"Okay, team! Let's get the ball rolling!" Lemon takes center stage between the three of them, chryssa glasgow 's Dewott and maverick noah ryder 's Mandibuzz flanking him. "We're the Hadrion Cool-iders!" Luka announces with a giddy enthusiasm, "And our fusion is out of this world!"[break][break]

Lemon's jaws open wide, electricity crackling between gleaming white fangs. A ball of static begins to form; small at first, but growing steadily larger. After a few seconds, the small bundle of static has become a crackling orb of electricity, the size eclipsing Lemon's small body. He releases it into the air a moment later, kicking it up with a flip just to be showy, and lets out his best roar while the ball crackles and sparks above him.[break][break]

He doesn't throw it at their opponents, not yet. Instead, it seems that something greater is brewing— they had promised a collison, after all!

Paired with Eylyssa Kay and Kaida Adachi, the armored prince took center with Damkina at the front. This wasn't his decision, of course. The dragoness was determined to be the spotlight of the show even despite the group dynamic. It was only through their extensive training that Remiel managed to keep her from shoving aside the others and seizing it more violently.[break][break]

Thankfully, as Kaida's Charizard soared above and intimidated their opponents with draconic flare, Damkina did well to stay put for a moment. It was only after the fiery beast had cast its leer that the Mega Garchomp sprung into action with a single massive leap. What followed was a wild flurry of twin scythes that soared upward and encircled the Charizard with perfect choreography and precision (SLASH) to add to its intimidation.[break][break]

This comes in sync with an aggressively Egyptian score that plays over the speakers.

"Together, our Pokemon represent the searing, merciless heat of the desert..." The royal speaks, his voice echoing throughout the contest hall to a great fervor from his fans. His Garchomp's raspy roar fills the air as it twirls around the Charizard and calls the Sigilyph to join them. "Together, we're the RAGE OF THE MEDJAY!"[break][break]

Remiel is the one to step forward next as his Garchomp summons a twirling sandstorm around its group. In the haze of sandy brown, the prince performs a spectacle of sword slashing and footwork. His dragon descends just long enough to join him, a blur of scythes and fins in the midst of that storm that waits to support the Sigilyph's entrance in whatever way it can.[break][break]

It seemed that no one was interested by the sunglass he tried to advertise while the intermission was active. All well…

The next round was an interesting one to say the least. Maverick didn’t know anything about contest or how to properly do them. That much, was very clear. But after a quick discussion with his poor team mates that unfortunately got paired with him, the man could only try to redeem himself a little bit and not hold back his team.
