EXPOSITION

RUMORS OF ODD POKEMON have surfaced among the populace. with the AQUA INITATIVE preoccupied with the SILVER SPIRE and TEAM ROCKET charting an expedition into the TREE OF LIFE, it’s up to hoenn’s RANGERS to investigate these peculiar disturbances. but, as these valiant protectors scramble to uncover the mystery, they will soon realize that hoenn is filled with rising factions and fierce competition.

RANGER RAIDS REDUX is a thread based event set to follow up with previous plot points and highlight the RANGER organization. due to this event having a smaller amount of content, the amount of participants will be lower than other events. [break][break]

canonically, this event happens around the same time as AN AQUA ASSEMBLY and GEOMANCY. therefore, characters present in these events may not participate. at this point in time, players may only sign-up with one character.

EVENT SUMMARY

THIS EVENT will be a thread based relay race. participants will be expected to post at regular intervals while fulfilling staff provided prompts. rather than focus on a poster’s speed, this event will challenge writers to post consistently until their thread is complete.[break][break]

while characters will be able to participate in multiple threads, they will not be able to participate back-to-back. instead, players will select a TEAM to represent and rely on their TEAM members to complete their own threads. as a TEAM completes their respective threads, new ones will unlock, progressing into an EXCURSION style finale. [break][break]

a character can only apply for one TEAM. [break][break]

participants may submit custom TEAM ideas to SPIRAL. due to the nature of this event, you will need at least FOUR characters to create a TEAM. for optimal performance, six would be ideal.

EVENT SIGN-UPS

THIS THREAD WILL host the available thread prompts and serve as sign-ups. players are allowed to pick a thread prompt that’s open to their TEAM. once sign-ups are filled, threads will be posted and participants can proceed accordingly. [break][break]

once a TEAM has finished a thread, they will unlock the next RANGER RAID in that chain. for instance, if any RANGERS complete LEAGUE BARRACKS I, sign-ups for LEAGUE BARRACKS II will be open for that team. [break][break]

occasionally, completely new and unrelated RANGER RAIDS may be posted. depending on participation, availability, and traction, these threads may be open for those who have also participated in a different RANGER RAID.

EVENT GUIDELINES

ONCE SIGN-UPS are filled, a staff member will post a thread for each set of participants. their goal is to fulfill the prompts listed. upon completion, players may request a new set of prompts in order to progress their thread. [break][break]

players will only be able to make a request every x days. the specific time frame will be mentioned in each prompt. [break][break]

all threads will host similar material. in the style of an ADLIB STORY, players will be directed through a series of scripted prompts. their goal is to accomplish their requirements while remaining within the realms outlined. [break][break]

while most events provide a lax setting where writers can flex creativity, this one emphasizes the ability to move a thread along without creating new details.

DUE TO THE NATURE of this event, you may want to sign up with more than the minimum amount of players. adding more players will ensure that it continues and prompts are fulfilled in a timely manner. however, remember that those who participate will not be able to jump into the next batch. try to balance having enough players to complete your thread while having enough TEAM mates to participate in the next set of RANGER RAIDS. [break][break]

these threads are scripted via prompts and require players to adhere to having their setting already established. due to the restraint on creating new lore and details, some players may have difficulty with progressing the thread while making it interesting. try to focus on dialogue and the interaction between characters to help with pacing and creating a neat plotting device.
