The bottom was first, the Crabominable ensuring that he got the details just right: the perfect size, the perfect shape, and the perfect set of stripes to accent it. After that came the middle, expertly rounded as he made small slits for the eyes and mouth.

So what did that leave for the top?

The hair, of course! This part took the longest, in part because it had to be baked into the middle, and the precision to get the subject’s hairstyle just right took a good amount of effort. But soon, he’d gotten it just right, and he stepped back to admire his perfect snowboy.

Not to scale to the subject, of course.

Said subject found his hand grabbed by someone - and gently pulled to the ground onto his back. The perpetrator’s voice was easy to discern, and Hideo smiled. “All the time!” he said to Eris Halla , “When it snows anyways. We don’t get a lot in Hoenn, so we gotta enjoy it when we get it!”

His arms and leg moved furiously around, making as big an indent in the snow as he could.

at the names Locke Jamison suggests, matias turns to look at his jynxes. they all perk up, shifting out of the eggshell white snow, then chime in unison as they all stick their thumbs up.

"looks like they love it. thanks, locke! looks like you're my official pokemon namer."

it's a tough job, seeing just how many pokemon he has. but if anyone could do it, it'd be locke. matias is certain of it.

seeing Eva Morales miss catching a snowflake is too funny to not laugh. he aws, then attempts to comfort her with a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"you'll get one soon, babe."

sensing a pair of eyes looking over their way, matias turns, waves, and gestures towards Nia Acadia.

"you can come over if you want! we don't bite!"

not like those ice hockey players. actually, pretty sure they don't bite, but matias needs the prompt, so.

score! the snowball- if it could even be called that- had hit Tempest Quinn like they had planned. they don't get long to bask in their victory, though, before temp is summoning them to all team up on Cillian Quinn; hurrying to make another makeshift snowball, they toss it at him, although they're too distracted by Eris Halla hitting them with one to see if it works. and by Martín del Mar- but they only manage to halfheartedly toss one back before they're distracted, again, by temp collapsing dramatically.

they don't know if that or the fact that he can't stay down for long is funnier, but they can't exactly judge. even with their bundled clothes, it's cold. that doesn't stop them from huffing in faux offense at temp's snow angel challange, though, and they stumble through the snow to come closer to the trio. and, abruptly, they flop into the snow, trying to make a hurried snow angel so they can help gavin and eris decorate the snowboy- but also make sure theirs is better than temp's.

well. they try, but they don't manage to stay in the snow long, either. their snow angel is all misshapen, and awkward, but...it's good enough, they decide.

Once she was done, Jessie did just that: take a picture of her snow angel so she could upload it to her social media when she had time to later. She also made sure she harassed Mars with her phone, trying to get him in several pictures to add to her collection. Save, save, save.

He'd probably kill her later, but it was worth it.

She dusted the excess snow from her clothing, looking up with a surprised look when he wrapped the scarf around her neck. She just smiled.

"Awe, big brother Mars! How sweet."

She couldn't help but tease him.

Mars mentioned decorating the snow men, and Jessica gave an enthusiastic nod. Because if there was anything she was good at, it was fashion and decor. She'd make these snow boys look amazing.

"Okay! Let's do it."

Mars has always been the sort of person who loves taking pictures, especially of himself, but given that he’s technically supposed to be in Hoenn under a different identity, it may not be the best idea for Jessica Manner to post pictures with him to her social media. If they’re for her to keep, though? He’d take a hundred of them with her if she wanted him to, in that case.

”Yeah, yeah, don’t get used to it.” He flicks her forehead in response to her teasing – gently, obviously. And yet, no matter what he may say, the fondness he feels for Jessie is one that is unlikely to fade away. He will always care for her as if she really were his little sister.

There’s a smirk, for Mars considers himself to have an impeccable sense of style, after all, even when it comes to decorating snow boys. The cold of the snow doesn’t help, and there really isn’t much to work with, but surely they’ll figure it out and make these snowboys look amazing.

Ugh. And she'd been having so much fun just a moment ago! But her little act of petty revenge has left her in a rather sour mood— or maybe she's still just reeling from seeing andres buenaventura again after all this time. From behind her snowboy Luka flops down into the snow, laying back while gentle flakes continue to fall on her face.[break][break]

She justifies it as necessary in order to hide from Andres. But really, she's just pouting.[break][break]

Luka lolls her head to the side, catching glimpse of Jessica Manner and Martín del Mar playing around and having a grand old time. Maybe she should pick herself up and ask to join them again. Or MATIAS SILPH and his little group. They all look like they're having such fun...[break][break]

Remi chuckles, shaking her head in exasperation as two rambunctious Cubchoo run rampant across the field. They dive into the snow, sneeze and squeal, tossing fluffs of snow into the air and tackling one another over and over again.

But after a little bit of coaxing, Remi manages to convince the two to help her construct a snowman in their image. She gathers snow into a ball with gloved hands, burying her chin deeper into her scarf.

Naturally, Gwen tags along with Greyson. When he had mentioned a snow festival of sorts, packed full of snow angels and snowballs and snowboys, she had stared at him with wide eyes brimming with excitement.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world!" she had said.

And now here she was, bundled up with mittens too big for her hands and earmuffs instead of a proper hat. She wore big, clunky boots, and knelt down in the snow to pack a fresh snowball. Another young woman challenges Greyson, and she can see the wink of mischief in her eyes. Although Greyson himself seems oblivious, Gwen catches on.

"She must just be happy to see you, Greyson!"

She smiles.

Ah, yes. Mareanie was in fact a meanie. Cute as it was, the bounty hunter would've been given a quick and somewhat grim reminder why she kept strangers at arm's length--- especially when said strangers all so eagerly tried to vomit poisonous matter into her face. And sadly for her, she was too close to dodge it, the purple goo splashing all over her. Although she was lucky enough to have her eyes and mouth closed in time, the toxins were now penetrating her skin, dizziness and a sudden sense of weakness kicking in so brutally fast that she was forced to remain on her knee in front of the Mareanie. Yvaine was however quick enough to wipe off the excess poison before it could do worse damage, but it left the redhead looking as white as the snow around her.

This time she grumbled more audibly, a deep frown as the Mareanie started dancing while the bounty hunter was on her knees suffering. An audible sigh escaped her as she looked up at the sky, a single snowflake twirling down and landing on her tongue. Yup. This was all on her.

Her frustration is further fueled by MATIAS SILPH ’s adorable laugh. He caught one so easily, why couldn’t she? Maybe it’s because he’s taller and has a bigger tongue . . . yeah, that’s it.

She tries again, and a small, cold snowflake falls onto her tongue. It slips back inside and she smiles brightly, relishing in the childish success before falling to her knees and continuing to perfectly shape the pieces for her Snowboy. With all three there, now she just had to put it together.

With a strong push, she rolls her base closer to Matias’s so their Snowboys can be side by side. Next, comes the middle which she hoists onto the base with a huff. Perhaps she should have made these pieces smaller.

The top though . . .

Eva blinks, glancing from her gleaming, snow white top to her snowboy. She might not be tall enough for this. An innocent smile extends over to MATIAS SILPH , silently asking for help to create her own Frosty The Snowman.

After a bit of struggling, the snowboy was all pieced together. Now all that was left was to decorate it.

The Delibird had come prepared for this, too, as they all rummaged around inside their tails for various rocks, coins, and buttons to press into its white surface. One of them even managed to pull a gray, raggedy Reaper Cloth to wrap around the neck. Locke used his finger to carve out a smile beneath mismatched button eyes and stepped back to admire the finished product.

Just in time for MATIAS SILPH to call someone else over. They gave a small wave behind the other man, quietly encouraging Nia Acadia to join them as well.

Jessie looked at the pictures she took, giggling.

"Look! I'm gonna put this one up in my room with the other ones I have," she said, pointing to a silly one of them she had managed to capture.

Her photo wall would be decorated with pictures from today, that's for sure.

While decorating the snow men with Mars, a wild Amaura appeared seemingly out of no where. The little ice-dragon Pokemon looked lost, confused almost as it looked back and forth, meeting Mars and Jessie where they were.

"Oh my god. Mars! Look!"

Jessie knelt down, smiling at the cute little dino-like creature. It approached timidly.

"It's so cute!"

”Ha! That’s cute! You should send me some of those later.” Perhaps if only to keep them in his phone, because it’s been a long time since Mars has hung up pictures, much less framed them. Things like those are meant for places that are supposed to be home, after all.

As Mars keeps on working on decorating his snowboy, it’s the way Jessica Manner calls to him that distracts him from all those thoughts – his attention then turning to an Amaura much like his own. Seeing Jessie interact with it makes him smile, and this time he’s the one who takes a picture of her.

”Looks like you got yourself a friend. It looks just like my Iris, and one day it might be as big as Clio.” Clio being the gorgeous Aurorus that sits next to his Amaura, of course, both Tundra Pokémon peacefully enjoying the snow together.

Now, the thought of them happens to remind Mars that he had seen his favourite do-it-all prince/ambassador/archaeologist/Rocket executive somewhere around here, and when looking around for Remiel Calcifet again, he is not at all surprised to see him talking to luka chêne. What is this, some Netflix movie where the prince from a distant land shows up near Christmas to sweep a pure and innocent young woman (as Fish often claims) off her feet and involve her in a lot of shenanigans? Don’t blame him for getting the plot wrong, he’s only ever seen the endless ads for those movies.

Either way, Mars readies a snowball, calling out to Remiel when throwing it.

”Hey, A Christmas Prince! Luka, let me know if I need to save you from his evil Galarian claws!” All jokes, of course, and yet the snowball is thrown towards Remiel with deadly precision.

Harumi shrugged, walking away from the frozen river to face Ahiru by the treeline. She put her hands on her hips in deliberation. What to do to make the most of this apparently random snowfall... as she thought, her Porygon rotated in the air, causing the pile of snow on its head to fall off and become a pile of snow on the ground.

And genius struck. Looking around at several of the others on the wintry route, the girl studied the variety of snow sculptures everyone was making, then turned to the crystal-white canvas at her feet. She grinned and relayed her plan to Ahiru, and the pair began their grand construction.

Harumi rolled together a single ball from the snow, placing it around the edge of the distance separating the path and the trees. The Porygon whistled and whirred as they spun their polygonal body around the sculpture's base to create a unique, geometric pattern, and their trainer started packing together a second ball.

Remiel raises a brow, slightly confused but amused as he reaches forward with a gloved hand to gently wipe a few snowflakes off her cascading pink hair. "A snow angel, hm? Then maybe I can join you." He smiles, dropping down beside her before laying back on the snow.[break][break]

Meanwhile, eager to be included in whatever play the humans were having, dopey Boris takes a nosedive into the open space off to Remiel's side. He lands with a great poof of snow, laying there like a content beached SEAL afterwards:[break][break]

Now covered in a light powder of snow himself, the prince dusts himself off with cushioned gloves. "Truth be told, I can't remember the last time I made a snow angel." He turns to Luka brightly, bits of snow clinging to his messy head of black hair. "You seem like you'd make a good one, however." Her being as sweet as frosted gingerbread, of course.[break][break]

The moment is interrupted by Martín del Mar and Remiel turns just in time to see the man cast his snowball, shielding his face with an arm before crawling to take cover behind his Arctozolt's slumbering form. "Del Mar!" He exclaims, quickly gathering snow between his hands.[break][break]

"Don't you have some numbers to crunch elsewhere?!"
