Only would call him a 'fuckin' idiot' in the middle of an apocalypse and make it sound like a confession, uttered like secrets. In the midst of calamity, for a soft stolen moment as his wounds uncomfortably stitch together, Angelo dares to chuckle.

“Just figured that one out? And I'm the idiot?”

Light draws his attention then.

Hundreds of bioluminescent stars fall from the inky void that is now the sky, creating icy blue contrails. All of them gather towards a single point up high, where a familiar figure holds a north star between its outstretched claws.

From Latios's chest a sphere emerges, glowing ghostly hues and energy pulsing out like waves, escaping the orbit.

Angelo had seen something like this before, long ago, in a memory. Only this time, as Latios unleashes the power of his soul, he's not alone.



Hundreds. Thousands. Countless glassy, translucent shapes join him. Past Latios who's spirits live on, gather towards their successor.

With their own power they feed into his Latios's assault, enhancing it with the souls of eon's past to greater and brighter reaches.

One half of a 1,000,000,000 YEAR BOND, crashing towards Necrozma in a pillar of light.



Awe disappears down Angelo's spine like a frigid bead of water had slipped beneath fabric, when his gaze diverts just ever so to the side.

“Skyler.”

Fingers follow a deceptively calm breath, tightening the link between them on a newly iridescent arm, as the woman cited stares near drowned with ghostly greys. Consumed beneath a looming shadow.

Raindrops can wash away blood, but dread is a cast stone.

And the ripples had long been stirred on days past.

“Hey. Wake up, sunshine. This isn't over yet.”

a familiar sight appears, letting everyone see the sight of what had pushed necrozma back the last time it had been on hoenn. while he doesn't usually lust for more, it's the power he wanted his solgaleo to have.

letting a pokeball out, he releases a smeargle. "sketch," he utters, finding the perfect opportunity to replicate it on the second time it fired.

while ultimately useless after this event, kyle has a use for this.

amid being struck in awe by the new legendary in play, the silvally he had held closely beside him started to grow restless. kyle's injuries start to heal despite the lack of assistance from ho-oh's influence. the surge of power can be felt, and it only needed one fairy memory change and a nudge from the trainer for the chimera to release it.

"go for it."

MIGHTYENA: MANAGARMR MIRACLE
FAIRY-TYPE
mightyena temporarily grows in size before attacking its opponent. the residual energy on its fur makes it more durable. this move is more effective at night.


the perfect conditions for the z-move to take in effect were present. the embodiment of the moon itself brings the move to its full potential, only to be exponentially boosted by the fairy aura around them.

the silvally grows in size as it takes in energies from the moon and the aura emanated by xerneas. turning into a mere silhouette of itself, it becomes the embodiment of the z-moves namesake.

it charges straight at the enemy, fearless and confident, ready to unleash the pent up power brought by the z-move phenomenon.

with his silvally attended to, he turns back to where his terrakion has been fending off the frenzied solgaleo. the results gets a click of a tongue from kyle, although hindsight tells him it should be expected.

the sword of justice gets put on the back foot, trying its best to disarm its opponent. the way it fights disturbs kyle, wondering if it was holding itself back from hurting a friend, or if it's simply overwhelmed.

kyle fears it's both

nevertheless, terrakion was the best band-aid solution he can afford without causing problems for others. he's had an answer for now with the smeargle beside him.

he runs back from where xerneas was towards where the two had been in a scuffle away from the rest. while he can't reach all the way, he orders his smeargle to use its newfound move halfway through.

"moongeist beam."

's comfey aids the smeargle, giving it a helping hand for its attack on the solgaleo. a familiar move to bring it to its senses might help.

Just a few minutes earlier, this battle seemed utterly hopeless. Yet the cosmos was on their side, proven by the blessings of these strange alien fetuses. Three present legendary pokemon were chosen to be their conduits, and just being nearby would empower surrounding pokemon.

Mercy would be no exception; her proximity to Xerneas would expose the battle medic to its infinity energy aura. This power felt familiar to Blissey, as it ran through every pokemon and sustained the very lives she sought to protect. Mercy roared, her body feeling one thousand times more powerful as energy surged through her.

Oscar took note of this change, and grinned with cathartic glee. "Mercy, it's time to show this eldritch fuck our strength. Unleash your fury!" Mercy flexed, the infinity energy she absorbed being directed into her egg pouch. It formed a new egg, which she took out and chucked at Necrozma. Should it hit its mark, the egg would erupt with the Light of Ruin.

Locke once again found himself overwhelmed and overshadowed by the infinitely more powerful people around him. mega-evolutions, z-moves, and…whatever was going on with the gigantic and uncomfortably-buff mosquito-they all fired off around him in a fantastic display, fueled by whatever mysterious power they'd summoned through the Lake Trio.

Even the crushing darkness around them was broken by moonlight-but when he looked up, all he could see was stars.



Meanwhile, Latias was undergoing her own transformation. Bright red down exploded with light, settling into a greyish-blue as her soft, rounded features grew larger, sharper, and more aerodynamic-until the legendary had fully Mega Evolved.

She hardly had time to admire her new form however, too awestruck by her brother's show of power to yet recognize her own, and her face painted with pure delight as an endless stream of Latios raced past her and towards the enemy. She flew to her sibling's side-the two almost indistinguishable now from this distance-with far more cheer than the dire situation called for, inspecting the offered orb with rapt attention before placing her own claws around it.

The pulse of the sphere grew rapid, slowly increasing until it had grown nearly twice in size and power. The stars doubled as well-swarming the siblings as the Latias of eons past playfully circled their descendant, then swooped down into the crowd.

They've come not to fight, but to defend.

The other half of a 1,000,000,000 Year Bond weaves amongst the gathered heroes, guarding as many as they can from their common enemy's next-and hopefully final-assault.



The rain cut out beneath the dome 's now-massive Audino-a soft smile reaching Locke's lips as they were finally able to take the time to recognize their old Pokémon-constructed for the group around her. A perfect reprieve for them to reach into their own bag and toss out a twin set of Pokéballs, releasing a matching pair of Indeedee underneath the safety of the Max Protect.

"Alright! Let's do our best too and cheer everyone on! Helping Hand!"

The energy surges through the sky, and then it surges through Stufful's body like a never-ending whirlwind of power. It morphs and grows to a size it's never even dreamt of being, and brimming with power the cuddly beast stands tall among its Dynamaxed allies. Brynnhildr would not have known how close it had come to the Necrozma if it hadn't dynamaxed, but what surprised her even more than it's gigantic size, was that despite the dire situation… Stufful looked happy. Excited even, by the bouncing it was doing.

And with every bounce the ground would vibrate further, its cries echoing through the darkened sky. It would not make an ulterior move; not until all of the other dynamaxed Pokémon had sent their attacks towards Necrozma– its bouncing would cease as it reared and focused fully on tonight's bane and sent itself flying towards it, fully intending to bearhug its face with an incoming Max Strike. It knew well it would not come out unscathed. Or rather, its trainer knew. Stufful just cared about hurting the thing that hurt its master.

The distance across the battlefield that Ahab currently occupies from Beau has no bearing on the command, and the Poliwrath leaps toward Necrozma, a featureless glare characterizing his movement as he unleashes a torrent of rushing water against the enormous adversary, the waters twisting into a powerful vortex that surges against the implacable beast.

Beau's jaw clenches as he watches with stoic trepidation. He's here to do his part, but he hadn't expected to lose one of his own so quickly and so decisively. Would Ahab follow the same path? Could he justify making this stand with the other denizens of Hoenn if it cost him another of his comrades, those he'd sworn to protect as much as anyone else?

Doubling in on itself, the Whimsicott suddenly bounces and throws open its arms, sending glittering spores soaring through the air towards Nezrozma. Brilliant, golden light - something akin to hope sparks in Georgette's chest at the sight of the veritable fireworks shimmering through the air. Where the spores come into contact, light sears across the flesh in snaps and crackles, creating pinpoints of light upon light in an almost never-ending cascade

The Snorunt fulfils its purpose, doing as Katherine had asked only mere moments ago. A protective barrier erects at the first sight of Necrozma’s attack, shrouding the elite four’s party with its defensive veil. Unfortunately, their assailant’s attack pierces through. The ice-type sacrifices itself to protect the rest, but its death won’t be in vain.

Elsewhere, Katherine’s Gengar accepts the pixies’ blessing, tapping into an unknown power as it goes past its mega evolution to reach the state of PRIMAL REVERSION. Alas, such temporary bliss is not met with a celebration.

Katherine’s patron, Giratina, warns her against staying. The sight of the RED CHAIN is enough to plant seeds of doubt even in the heart of an immortal god– for it is the first time it has ever skipped a beat.

To an outsider, it would very much appear as though Katherine was in fact speaking to herself, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She’s quite literally having a heated argument with the god that resides within her, who had already activated her blessing against her will, almost succeeding in transporting her to where they are both most safe: their distorted realm.

”NO!” Katherine may be fading in and out of reality akin to a ghost, but she’ll be damned if she doesn’t see this through. The warning is enough. She will heed it and avoid contact with the chain.

feels awe at Lugia's transformation. Temp feels something similar, like a pride for both his fiance and his patron-via-proxy. He knows Lugia will never feel the same about him as she feels about Gavin. Yet he hopes, deep down, that she feels at least something for him. If for nothing else than because he likes to brush her and keep her free from barnacles.

Still, he squeezes Gavin's hand and gives him a nod and a smile. His fiance. Even in a tense moment like this he can appreciate it. It seems like everyone is gaining another burst of power. Could this be... hope? Or is it just a hollow falsehood to be ripped away from them?

Well, whatever is it, Chandy feels fucking great. The Chandelure is filled with energy. She lets out a cackling sound almost like a laugh.

Flames collect around her before surging in a spiraling blast of flame at Necrozma. The move rides the wind behind the Aeroblast that Lugia shoots.

There was so much occurring it was difficult for Barnaby to know where to hold his attention. Throughout the battlefield flashes of energies sparked, like huge fireflies in the night, showing Pokémon enlarging beyond a comprehensible scope. Barnaby's ALAKAZAM was among the many to do so. Even 's LUGIA was changed, losing streaks of her shadowed fur in lieu of a glistening, stark white.

Through the chaos a Red Chain began to snake from the sigils below the Lake Guardians. Barnaby could only hope that it was a promise of an oncoming attack aimed at NECROZMA. For now, the chain continued to form agonizingly slowly - obviously needing more time before completion. It was their job to give the Guardians this time.

Amidst this realization, called to him, ordering him to keep watch over . Barnaby was barely able to return the admin's look before he teleported away... and into the thick of battle. A second passed where all he could do was fight back the utter panic welling up inside of him. What if he doesn't come back?

It was a sickening thought. One that Barnaby didn't allow himself to dwell on. He couldn't. There was too much to do, too much at stake. The second of fear passed as quickly as it came, replaced by a stern resolve as he approached close to .

"Stay by me." He instructed the boy next to him, releasing his HAKAMO-O in front of them as a barrier against oncoming attacks. The large Dragon-type steeled itself using IRON DEFENSE before setting up PROTECT around the two humans.

Meanwhile, his newly Mega Evolved and gigantic ALAKAZAM was gathering its psychic energy for a devastating attack. Just as the others around it, this newfound power allowed the Pokémon to tap into moves it had never been able to use before. Several spheres of violet energy materialized before it, humming with outrageous power and growing in strength by the second, before ALAKAZAM launched the PSYCHO BOOST toward NECROZMA.

The sight was almost enough of a distraction to stop him from sensing a presence pop up behind them. Almost. Upon turning to guague the new potential threat, however, he saw standing there instead.

Relief. Thank Arceus.

With all the trouble kicking about it wasnt hard to believe that the Head Ranger had largely lost focus on his charm.



The bulk of his focus was on the ground and what was bursting out from beneath. A killer photon just barely missed himself, shattering his glowing red pokemon into golden splinters of light.

When the splinters faded into the darkness his pokemon was gone and the vicinity became overrun with powered up pokemon of his allies.

Reaching for a pokeball he sought to call another to the field.

infinity energy crashes over tuile like a wave. the florges eagerly bundles it in her hands, within her chest, a surge of power that reaches from leafy appendages up to the blossoms that flourish atop her head. she finds a home amongst xerneas and the other pokemon gathered with them, a cotillion of life and light amidst a creeping darkness.[break][break]

this is it: the opportunity to act, to fight back. tuile has but a moment to decide her course of action.[break][break]

it's a basic law of physics: every action has an equal and opposite reaction. therefore, rather than striking, tuile puts all her newfound power into defense.[break][break]

from her clasped hands bursts a field of floral energy, a giant peony enveloping the field in a roseate glow. tuile's QUEEN'S WALTZ unfurls petals made of glowing light, creating a large dome meant to defend against necrozma's inevitable counterattack.[break][break]

queen's waltz: creates a dome of wildlife that protects against external attacks. inside, the user releases a sweet fragrance that heals anyone who inhales it

tuile holds the line, putting herself first so that she can protect others. in that respect, she much resembles her trainer; altruistic to a fault, carrying a glimmering light of hope within her. the battlefield is a ravaged landscape, but she grows a garden out of gouged wounds and sinks healing roots in deep.[break][break]

but luka herself fares poorly. still within the vicinty of , , and the rest, she slumps to her knees as her strength fails, sapped over time by spores and thorns, cuts and scratches that spiderweb over her skin. she could send out another pokemon to cure herself, but refuses to do so. anything that might draw another innocent creature into the line of fire is unacceptable.[break][break]

and it hurts. is gone and her pokemon are fighting in her stead and it hurts to realize how useless she is, how small and weak and powerless the slightest bit of danger renders her. though the tides may be turning in their battle she remains swept up in herself, a low sob ripped from her chest as she continues to mourn those she has lost and, selfishly, the person she could never hope to be.

[break][break] death oscillates in the air as the ground rumbles beneath their feet, yet another series of beams slice through his hakamo-o. jayden's heart gives a small stutter — he's had the pokemon since his first steps onto hoenn terrain. it's enough to make him pause, if so slightly, as the pokemon disappears from it's side beside and — out of existence completely.

[break][break] "moongeist beam!"

[break][break] surprise flickers in his eyes as his eyes catch the sight of lunala. no way. it can't be. it's valerio. looks like jayden is not the only one who was called from kanto.

[break][break] luckily, not all his lost. his shadow vulpix aids in freeing him from his prison, just as powerful energy glows around his keeper. as life pulses in the air around them, something catches in jayden's throat. he's not sure what it is, what he feels. it makes his heart feel full, thriving with something anew.

[break][break] he's not the only one. bruised violet turns to look at his flygon, who is similarly imbued with new vitality, thriving with the power that is infinity energy. wings flap powerfully in the air as the dragon took to the air and releases a MUD FLOOD. a tornado of muddy water blasts out from the pokemon's maw, spiraling towards necrozoma in an attempt to bring him down.

Crafted by the ruination of this damned region, the blackened beast bared it's fangs at the group, vicious in all the most dangerous ways possible. It was hard to believe they, or anyone for that matter, would be able to stand in line against it's fury.

Pushed by the directives of his trainer, Arcanine opened its maw, fire sputtering and congestion into a hard ball of sun.

INFERNO OVERDRIVE took flight.

More allies manifest and appear around XERNEAS and before long. Though bloodied and burnt, Remiel manages a weary smile at the sight of and before nodding with approval. Only the dramatic ROOST of RESHIRAM nearby serves to momentarily draw his attention away from his Rocket compatriots... and the devil looming over them.

Suddenly, XERNEAS brims with the power of GEOMANCY, sending it over those who surround it like a wave. Both Remiel and ZEKROM and reinvigorated by this life-giving force, though it seems to manifest differently within them as it has the others. A chilling spark runs down the length of their respective spines, followed by a warm feeling that spreads throughout. The black dragon shifts its eye to meet gazes with its avatar... and unspoken confirmation that he feels it, too.

The raw power of their connection seems stronger than ever now. But, more than that, they appear to share it with...

RESHIRAM and its rider ( ).

Further investigation, however, is put on hold by the sudden appearance of VALERIO DACHEV and his LUNALA. Remiel had heard he'd disappeared after the incident. He figured Walsh wouldn't be so cruel to kill him. Regardless, the man's reappearance and aid seems to provide just enough time to help the LAKE GUARDIANS manifest a fascinating RED CHAIN.

If the myths were true, this was the chain said to be able to harness the power of creation and destruction itself...

Rather than linger in thought about it (and the CREATION TRIO), however, the prince compels himself to focus on the task at hand and buy the LAKE GUARDIANS more time. The strange, somewhat familiar, connection between himself, ZEKROM, RESHIRAM, and its rider ( ), calls out to him yet again. He knows what they must do, and he's not shy about addressing it.

"It's time we introduce ourselves to one another," He begins, staring down the masked man and briefly imagining an image of himself as ADMIN FOX. The irony was certainly not lost on him. "You can't stay behind that mask forever. Though, given our company, I might understand why you wouldn't remove it now..."

ZEKROM, in the meantime, slowly turns itself to fully face RESHIRAM. There is a glimpse of remembrance in the black dragon's plasma blue eyes, but it fades before forming in full. It knows there is a wealth of forgotten history somewhere there, buried beneath the trauma of torture and genetic manipulation. Or, perhaps, this legendary amnesia is simply a symptom of old age.

Regardless of that history, and the seemingly innate connection between the two avatars themselves, Remiel continues before too long. He extends an open hand out towards the masked man ( ), palm facing upward. "My name is , and I'm asking that we unite our power: right here, right now."

Suddenly, blue tendrils of electricity spark over his arms and hand like winding snakes. This goes hand-in-hand with the distinct whir of ZEKROM's tail-turbine. It, too, begins to spark and grow in intensity as the seconds go on. Storm clouds are summoned overhead, complete darkness staved off by bolts of thundering blue lightning crackling in their greyish wombs.

"We'll show NECROZMA the power of our FABLED FIREBOLT!"

The storm intensifies as roars of thunder fill the air. It appears ready to obscure, then accept, the power inherent to RESHIRAM— before becoming a part of it altogether in a single, explosive, electrifying attack.
