too soon, splashfest had reached its end. nina was having a great time, happy to be distracted from what might be to come. as night was falling on the final day, however, she felt like the sun setting on the horizon. her joy slipped away into the night. she would be back to her lonely apartment in verdanturf to anticipate fate's ruling.

for now, the water felt nice splashing against her legs. riding on the back of a mantine was thrilling. she wanted to try the hardest trick one more time, as high as they could go. it didn't matter if she came crashing down. fuck it.

she went for the magikarp splash.
