As a cool autumn breeze blows across the deck of the yacht, Noble begins to tap a countdown with his vines. On the third tap, Rafael and Skrelp dive into the water and swim swiftly to the sandy bottom of the sea. Skrelp reaches the seafloor first and fans his fins out in victory. Rafael scoops up something lying in the sand with one hand and gently grabs Skrelp in the other as he rises back to the surface in a whorl of bubbles.[break][break]

The Splashfest was on the brink of ending, and all the festivities were gearing up for one last hurrah early this morning. the clock ticked down. it was nearly over. not just clamperl diving, but all of splashfest, their celebration before the end of the world—unless they could stop it.

she didn't want to think about it. instead, she enjoyed the feeling of the ocean, reaching for one last thing before she would go home.

a z-crystal. an exciting find, if not a bit worrisome that there were so many of these things being found or distributed. this kind of energy had been found to be volatile when combined with recent phenomena.

though he had no intention of using it unless necessary, he took it and carefully tucked it away. a few more minutes, and the clock had almost run out when he spotted his last find in the sand.

Given that it was the last day, Derek spent an abundance of time underwater searching for a crown with Jonesy. He skipped over the first few shiny things he saw, feeling as though they shared a similar glint with the other things he'd gathered. Eventually something does catch his eye. Jonesy is swimming back to him, holding the last prize they'd get to take away from the Clamperl dive. No matter what it was, they'd be going for some ice cream as a treat.
