The Maushold was pretty damn adorable, a family of mice mimicking a human one was ridiculous to think about. But Elio guessed even pokemon had family structures. These little guys were blessed to have such a nice, cozy, "household" for them, sure they were made of sticks, brush, and the like. But at least it would save them from the cold. [break][break]Idly, the blond-haired man thought of giving the little things some handmade coats and hats, but the idea sounded absurd. The little buggers were more likely to chew them up and use the scrap for their nest than wear them.

Elio felt as though his thoughts have become more positive these days. If not a little bit quirky. Something he would have to blame on Genevieve Cromwell. Not that he hated it, it was an improvement from his previous outlook on life. [break][break]Watching the Maushold scurry about their business, Elio found himself wondering what he and Genny would look like some year from now? Would they still be together? And if so, would they too, have a family to call their own?

It was a tempting fantasy, one that Elio couldn't fully dismiss as impossible. Even though doubts lingered in his minds that their relationship wasn't built to last. [break][break]After all, who's to say how they'll feel after the "honeymoon phase"? Hm... He supposed those were thoughts for another time, or else he sour his mood. For now, the mafia heir was more focused on helping this family of rodents - to hopefully build their dream home.

These things were so cute. When Temp looked at them, he was remined of his own family as a kid. It was bittersweet, that part always still had a faint ache when he thought about it, but it was nice. His dad, his mom, him, and his sister... a little household of mice! A mouse-hold. (Ha. Him and Cillian Quinn shared the same brain there for a moment.)

Temp always liked the idea of a large family, lots of kids, but he knew there wouldn't be a shot at that for a while. If he and his husband were to adopt, it would have to be when stuff was more settled down for both of them. They'd never really talked about it, actually; maybe he should bring it up sometime...

Later, later! Right now Temp had shit to do!

He was hoping to maybe get his hands on a family of them. As cute as they were, mice would be terrible for certain areas of the Region. It had been a struggle with border policies when he was a kid to keep Rattata and Raticate from the wild. In the end they had failed and it drove down the native Plusle and Minum populations by quite a bit.

Well, nothing would get done if he didn't throw a pokeball!

He wondered where all the white Pokémon had come from. It was weird, really—then again a lot of Pokémon were weird, so there was no questioning that.

Why did it look like some of the smaller rats were screaming at the bigger ones though.

“Huh,” he would muse, small hint of a sad smile on his face as he looked through his pockets and wondered if he had food enough to give some of them.

While going on her regular patrols with Raijin, Hailee happens to stumble across a family of Maushold while they make preparations for the winter. For a while Hailee paused her walk just to observe the little fellas. Watching as they all helped one another and supported each other, made Hailee think about her own family. [break][break]

Her family wasn't perfect by any means. In fact, it was quite broken. She had a lot of repressed emotions and wounds that she was still dealing with today because of them. But even if her parents were the source of her pain and grief, she knew she could always count on her big sister. Fae Madden was the saving grace of this hell hole. She was so thankful for her sister, even now, that they could spend time together and really love on each other to make up for their parents lack. [break][break]

And not just Fae, Hailee found new family members here in Hoenn too. Her boyfriend, Noah Camus and his family always treater her like she belonged. Her Slateport Rangers family, Tam Fawley, Orion Lykos, Caleb Harcourt and the rest of her co-workers. She spent so much time with them that they really had become like a second family to her. And she enjoys her time with them, they've all been through hell and back together.[break][break]

The season of being thankful might have passed but in this season of gift giving and remembrance, she was reminded that she needed to tell her loved ones how she cared for them. [break][break]

Scampering to and fro, little families of some odd rodent pokemon were gathering food and supplies alike - preparing for the coming cold. And all the whilst, Makoto watched - two plush-looking rats coming out of what must've been their nest, before eventually returning with either food or or bedding materials in tow. It was interesting, watching how they worked in tandem - almost like one pokemon. Were they a package deal, in the same way a pokemon like Exeggcute was?

Well, either way, they'd dig through their purse - pulling out and unwrapping a few packaged tissues. "Over here, little ones..." They'd speak gently as the two rodents poked out of their nest once more - offering the tissues, for bedding. Maybe they could make friends, with these little fellows?

His BUTLER SINISTEA, EARL GREY, hovers over his shoulder as it observes as well. Eventually, a pair of white mice dare to peek out at them in return from their half-finished abode.

"Earl, go fetch me a granola bar from my pack, would you?" The royal requests, blindly reaching out with an empty hand as he keeps his eyes glued to the mice. Before too long, the butler returns and hands him said granola bar with the wrapper already half peeled. "Here we are," The prince continues, offering the Maushold a nice piece of it.

"Come along then."

But the mice appear both excited, nervous, and unsure.

Bundled against winter's cold in a puffy coat and thick, wool scarf, Yumi trudged down Route 103 with her loyal Stoutland, Kiba, at her side. They had arrived to the sleepy, snow-laden fields outside Oldale Town to take Instagram-worthy photos of themselves playing in the snow.[break][break]

Yumi and her Pokémon had not been the only party to come up with the bright idea of spending the afternoon at play. Several families — with children and Pokémon alike — frolicked on the hills and fields, pulling sleds, making snowboys, and having snowball fights. Yumi watched from a distance, a strange bitterness filling her at the sight.[break][break]

Her family had never played together in the snow, not even when she was a child. And even she had stopped after reaching a certain age.[break][break]

Oldale Town had become the unfortunate victim of a Maushold swarm. The family of rats trying to find warmth and food wherever available.

Like so many other trainers Elinor had joined the efforts to help and perhaps catch some.

With bait aplenty did she try to lead the swarm away from the city. Unfortunately it didn't seem to do much.

And yet she was hesitant to fight them, for oppressing a family, even if they were rats, felt wrong.

The Maushold line, similar to the Falinks line from Galar, were a species made up of a collective, rather than of one individual creature. Though while Falinks was a military-like unit, Maushold was a family of adorable little mice.

Thomas was among the many who had come out to try to take care of the infestation in Oldale Town. Though rather than wanting to get rid of them, he wanted one of his own. He found them adorable, and figured that his many Pokemon would love to have them around.

Walking along Route 103, Zelle crouched by a rock to catch her breath. Walking was great for cardio, but she and her Pokemon had been at it for hours, trying to find more Pokemon to catch. Unfortunately, their efforts were for naught; most of the Pokemon she encountered immediately ran away, but the few that lingered for a meager few moments, she missed with her Pokeballs just before they fled.

Just then, Loki her Galarian Meowth sniffed the air. His eyes narrowed into slits.

Zelle followed the line of the feline Pokemon's vision to trace what he was observing.

A family of mice scurried about, collecting berries from a bush, probably to store away for the winter.

Before Zelle could say anything, Loki sprung, claws bared. The mice shrieked and tried to run away.

What were these strange mouse Pokemon? Josh had never seen them on any of his records until now. This was becoming a constant as of late. Just as he was starting to get used to the migration of "Galar" Pokemon into Hoenn, suddenly all these new Pokemon that weren't in the Rangers' records were now showing up from these rifts. And the "Hisuian" ones too. This was all so confusing but it was a little exciting too. More Pokemon! More discoveries to be made! More adventures to be had! Even now, Josh couldn't help the spark that was lit in his heart.

And perhaps one of these mice would be a fun addition to his ranch family. One that his kids might like, especially since there were two of them each, and he had twin children himself. Maybe he'd try luring them in with cake...

they are a mish-mash of round limbs. one not moving with out another moving too. a family, they blend. not just in appearance but in personality too. a little one mimics a large, rustling behind in scurrying squeaks. the larger one keeps on going, their fat cheeks filled with whatever they might've found.
