Starlight is welcoming the new year with a bang! The Sootopolis casino is hosting its first annual double battle tournament: THE BIG BANG CLASH. Many can enter, but only one will walk away with the 2,000-dollar prize and the title of Clash King or Queen.
THE RULES
- Participants BRING 4 POKEMON but can ONLY USE 2 DURING A MATCH. [break][break]
- All matches are DOUBLE BATTLES.[break][break]
- You can only use TWO MOVES per post.[break][break]
- BBC uses an HP SYSTEM for its matches. Participants START WITH 1,000 HP that goes down each time one of there Pokemon is hit with an attack. The amount of HP subtracted is determined by an attacks' Base Power. (I.E. Overheat with its BP of 130 reduces the opponents HP to 870 when landed).[break][break]
- Moves can have their damage adjusted (either increased or reduced) by the weather and terrain affecting the match.[break][break]
- Two dice are rolled at the start of a match to determine weather and terrain.[break][break]
- PROTECT AND SIMILAR MOVES have their effects changed, REDUCING DAMAGE BY HALF (I.E. a 100 damage becomes 50)[break][break]
- DOUBLE TEAM, MINIMIZE, & AGILITY have their effects changed, REDUCING DAMAGE BY HALF.[break][break]
- RECOVER AND SIMILAR MOVES ARE BANNED [break][break]
- OHKO MOVES ARE BANNED [break][break]
- MULTI-HIT MOVES (BULLET SEED, FURY SWIPES, ETC.) damage as if they hit three times. (I.E. BULLET SEED DEALS 75 DAMAGE.)

Heavy Rain [21-30][break]
A heavy rain began to fall! Water and Electric-type moves deal +50 Damage and Fire-type moves deal -50 Damage. [break][break]
Sandstorm [31-40][break]
A sandstorm is raging! Non-Rock, Ground, and Steel-types lose -75 HP each post. Electric-type moves deal -50 Damage.[break][break]
Harsh Sunlight [41-50][break]
The sunlight is strong. Fire and Grass-type moves deal +50 Damage. Water & Ice-Type moves deal -50 Damage.[break][break]
Strong Winds [51-60][break]
An intense wind blows. Flying-types take -50 Damage and Flying-type moves deal +50 Damage.[break][break]
Hail [61-70][break]
It started to hail! Non-Ice type Pokemon lose -50 HP each post. Ice-type moves deal +50 Damage.[break][break]
Fog [71-80][break]
The fog is deep. Dark and Ghost-type moves deal +50 Damage, all other moves deal -50 Damage.[break][break]
Meteor Shower [81-100][break]
Meteors crash onto the field. All moves deal +75 Damage but Pokemon lose -100 HP each post.
TERRAIN
Clear Terrain [1-20][break]
An empty field.[break][break]
Electric Terrain [21-40][break]
The terrain is supercharged. Electric-type moves deal +50 Damage and can hit Ground-type Pokemon. Water & Ground-type moves deal -50 Damage. Normal-type moves become electric-type.[break][break]
Grassy Terrain [41-60][break]
The field is in full bloom. Grass and Bug-type moves deal +25 Damage, Grass and Bug Pokemon take -50 Damage. Fire-type moves deal +25 Damage. Normal-type moves become Grass-type. [break][break]
Misty Terrain [61-80][break]
A gentle mist covers the field. Fairy-type moves deal +75 Damage and all Pokemon heal +25 HP each post. Dragon-type moves deal -50 Damage. Normal-type moves become Fairy-type.[break][break]
Psychic Terrain [81-100][break]
Psychic energy bathes the battlefield. Psychic-type moves deal +50 Damage and can hit Dark-Type Pokemon. Dark-type moves deal -50 Damage. Normal-type moves become Psychic-type.
