EXPOSITION

IN THE EARLY HOURS OF JANUARY 4TH, a massive energy swell is reported in The Silent Icelands. The League and Team Rocket (thanks to mint frost and Amor Rose's energy tracking technologies) send their finest to the ice-locked location, while experienced trainers or brave civilians join the fray to protect the region they call home.[break][break]

This stretch of Hoenn is purely encased in snow and ice. Steel and Ice-types flee the field—and some are in need of rescue.

Upon arrival, everyone's worst fears are realized. The devourer of legendaries, the galactically giant dragon of ice, emerges from its dimensional pocket once more. This time, it is aided by an UNBOUND HOOPA. For some reason, this Kyurem has allied itself with this mischievous djinn.

one may believe this djinn to have kept the creature's appetite satiated by drawing in meals by way of its translocating rings

And perhaps, this Hoopa's allyship is responsible for its newfound metamorphosis. Combined with the missing RESHIRAM of Hoenn, the Boundary Pokemon has transformed into WHITE KYUREM: a monstrous form of fire, ice and truth.[break][break]

The UNBOUND HOOPA laughs, its disembodied arms curling toward its muscular torso like maniacal arrowheads. It acts as the translator for WHITE KYUREM, for the dragon roars in draconid speech: a language gleamed from infusing itself with the embodiment of truth.[break][break]

It seems as if the Hoopa also desires to know the truth. The truth of this world. Of Universe 820.

the wallbreaker.

it's the term often used to pokemon with slow, but strong offensive prowess to punch through the defenses of a walling pokemon that completely negates efforts of other attackers in culling them down.

although they're usually defeated just as quick with those with enough firepower, kyle still needs to try to trailblaze through the fight and punch holes in the kyurem's protection.

"oi!" he calls his rampardos. "go at it!"

the shadow rampardos roars as it tramples over frosted grass beneath its feet. with its head poised to strike with dark impact, kyle takes charge of opening with a powerful strike for other participants of the attack.

the user delivers a life-endangering head butt at full power. the user also takes terrible damage. this attack cannot be STOPPED and will bypass these forms of DEFENSES: STAT-BUFFS, SCREENS, or PROTECT based moves.

Tempest Quinn 's radio crackled, and a familiar voice rang out. "We're gonna fucking DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Howard's voice echoed in a shrill scream as Rocket marched across the Silent Icelands as they bore witness to the colossal Kyurem, the beast that devoured the sun. It was a meteor that blotted out the horizon, a void that eclipsed Hoenn under the setting sun of truth. Yet why did a monster of this size need human concepts like 'truth' to begin with.

Howard Slayte shouldn't be here. He was at his best when he was behind line after line of disposable grunts. When his back was to the wall, that was when he was panicking, and that was when he was at his best.

"Nowhere to go but up...!" Howard groaned from behind his mechanized bodysuit. His helmet protected him from the cold, yet he was still chilled to the bone. He chattered and shuddered slightly, his Probopass braving the cold alongside him. It attempted to rouse up a small sandstor, only to be snuffed out by the snow.

He hadn't felt this cold since warring against Regice. Yet his body was used to it at this point. This chilling freeze was familiar.

Xenon had no interest in the truth. The truth was a malleable thing, an idea that could be shaped by the strong, the truth was whatever one decided it was.

Xenon had no interest in the power afforded by these legends. Forces of nature rooted in the past, they were beings founded in history, ancient creatures that disgusted her.

Xenon was here to kill a god. It was the height of insanity, even she knew she would likely not be successful as she fights through the blizzard alongside her faithful shadow. But still.

"Shut the fuck up you spineless wimp! Aren't you supposed to be our fucking boss, how about you give us an inspiring speech or something!?" Xenon's voice crackles to life through the radio as she berates Howard's cry of fear, the wind whipping her words from the air and drowning her in a deluge of snow. It matters not. She's only pumping herself up as she looks up at the gods above and smiles viciously, pointing forwards with killer intent. "Let us curse these gods with our dying breaths!" Night Shade blooms from the Gengar's lips as he screams his partner's wrath to the heavens, one curse of many to bring down a god and fulfill a prophecy.

matias is amongst the first to arrive, though he lingers in the cold cutting air as he looks out at what has become of THE SILENT ICELANDS.[break][break]

in galar, during the battle that would decide everything, he had felt both fear and dread for the first time in recent memory, and though the stakes are similar now, both are absent, and the one feeling most prominent is worry.[break][break]

he slides off his charizard after they make their descent, landing with grace similar to the sword of justice aligned with him. he breathes out a sigh, catching his breath as he looks at both kyle lopez and paxton concordas.[break][break]

"kyle has the right idea. we need to work on creating a path forward or we'd only get picked apart."[break][break]

fastening a CHARIZARDITE Y into the accessory around his shoulder but not yet activating it, he watches the clouds start to break as the air around them begins to warm—not by much but perhaps enough—a telltale sign of matias' DESOLATE LAND that will form.[break][break]

It was supposed to be a god damn vacation. [break][break]

Victor had just wanted to hole up in a comfy little cottage on the outskirts of the quaint Oldale Town, but at present, he found himself cowering behind a large, dead oak tree while shit was well and truly hitting the fan. He had been overlooked by the evacuation efforts, having apparently done too good of a job at hiding when he had first heard the draconic screams of fury. [break][break]

And hidden was where he was going to stay for the time being. There were other, more accomplished Trainers who he had watched throw themselves into the fray, and Team Rocket was here to boot. It was all the more reason for him to stay exactly where he was. He hugged the little Espurr sitting in his lap a little tighter, more for his own comfort than for hers, and prayed that his hiding spot would be adequate for the time being. The mission assignment had barely finished pinging his phone before Jack as in the air. He arrived quickly to the Silent Icelands finding it already in chaos. The glacial winds whipping around the White Kyurem was nearly blinding, obscuring much of the surroundings and creating a feeling that was isolating for Jack, even though there were others nearby.[break][break]

"Togekiss, set up some defenses. Let's make sure we help anyone who needs us!" Jack shouted into the wind as he shivered in his heavy Galarian winter gear.[break][break]

Either his Togekiss had heard him or was able to get the gist of his wishes as the sparkling energy of the pokemon's safeguard spread outward around them.[break][break]

The wind is cold, a cold beyond anything that El has faced. And yet, they have to stand strong against the cold. They do not feel as though they could - or should - back down, when such a great beast is bearing down upon them all.

Especially when they're not the only one here. As Eris Halla is evacuating some wild pokemon, El swoops overhead on the back of their trusty Togekiss, Akero - and they give her a wave.

"Let's give them a hand, Akero - Tailwind!"

At their call, the fellow fairy-type would whistle brightly, wings beating as the howling winds bent to her beck and call. Everyone's steps - including that of the wild pokemon below - would become all the more fleet, aiding in their escape.

TLDR/NOTES:
- Helping wild pokemon evacuate alongside Eris Halla , flying low on Akero the Togekiss + waving to her as they pass overhead.
- Togekiss uses Tailwind to speed everyone up; feel free to say you were closeby enough to be affected by it as well lmao

she joins the chaos on the back of her charizard, white hair billowing like a smoke trail behind them. a quick scan of the area below confirms that kyle lopez , MATIAS SILPH , and paxton concordas are already on the scene. her body relaxes slightly at the concept and her charizard swoops down to join them. the scientist jumps off a moment later, flashing a slightly awkward smile given the circumstances.

"need some backup?"

her role is almost always support - lending a hand or healing where needed.

and while she suspects each of the men could hold their own more than she could, there's strength in numbers here.

her charizard rushes up after MATIAS SILPH 's join kyle lopez 's rampardos in trying to break through the wall of ice. when her charizard meets the wall, he collects fire in his mouth and begins trying to break the wall with fire fang.
