The Pokémon League ► Pokémon X & Pokémon Y

SEPTEMBER — AFTER THE BATTLES OF PETALBURG & SOOTOPOLIS, the League summons the A.Q.U.A. INITIATIVE to the Pokemon League. Elite Four 's chamber has been selected as the place of meeting. It is thankfully available, for the gym challenge has been largely suspended at its higher echelons due to the war.[break][break]

As customary, a large conference table has been assembled in the chamber. In the table's center, a holographic projection displays 's visage in memoriam.[break][break]

Security is still significantly increased. Worries about a CHIEN-PAO attack as depicted in Dahlia Goode's "Rondez-View of Luv" route and the tera crystal expansion in the previous formal meeting have elevated procedures to a severe intensity. Guards and their Pokemon are still stationed all around the perimeter. Thanks to and 's vigilance, there is no threat expected to disrupt their assembly. After all, even the TERA TUNNELS that run beneath the island and sea have been cleared of dangers.[break][break]

Unlike Team Rocket's gathering, refreshments are provided. Kalosian coffee, Lava Cookies, and other pastries lay beautifully presented on a separate table.[break][break]

Commissioner has not arrived yet, and the time to become reacquainted with one other has been generously provided.

PRELIMINARY RULES


THIS "EVENT" IS NOT IN A RAID FORMAT. There may be no battles at all. After all, these meetings are opportunities for the A.Q.U.A. Initiative to mingle, express opinions, and assist with shaping the direction of the faction. Though there will be "moderator posts", these threads largely live by the interactions and decisions made by writers and their characters.[break][break]

You are encouraged to have characters ICLY DISAGREE with each other and conflict even though they are a part of the same faction.[break][break]

Although AQUA ASSEMBLY V is exclusive to canons, the consequences of this thread diffuse into the wider cast of characters. Furthermore, canon characters are granted opportunities to weave in non-canons into their stories from new hooks, new inspirations, and/or revitalized or reaffirmed conflicts, themes and relationships.[break][break]

Participation in this thread is NOT MANDATORY for League canons, but an absence requires IC JUSTIFICATION. Furthermore, there are no sign-ups for this event. Your sign-up will be your first post in the first "round". Please include THREE POKEMON that your character is bringing in your first post. Again, there is no guarantee that they will be used.[break][break]

Meloetta floats alongside her, sporting much more personality in her movements and demeanor compared to her shard counterpart. In addition, another little guest accompanied the two primadonna's. Melody's herdier starts to chase after Meloetta, trying to play a game with her that she quite frankly did not find amusing. Melody whistled for the dog pokemon to come over and he immediately sat at her feet when she saw that the diva grabbed a lava cookie. [break][break]

"Behave maksim, or else you're gonna go in your pokeball. Got it?" she warns him as the dog stares longingly at the cookie. She broke off a piece for him and handed it over to him, letting him eat it from her hand as she watched to see who else was coming in.

[break][break] The entryway to 's chambers casts the shadow of broad shoulders, the gleaming gold of his Head Ranger uniform contrasting sharply against his black cape. Unlike the last time they had seen each other, there is no remains of the torched embers of 's flames — of the death that he had so narrowly escaped only thanks to and CELEBI'S intervention.

[break][break] In present day, the Head Ranger strides confidently forward — a stark contrast to the last time that he was here, back when he and had attended AQUA as it's newest members.

[break][break] Ollie waves at Meleotta too when he approaches, snickering at the sight of Maksim chasing the mythical pokemon around the room. Tofu give a friendly 'CHAA!' in greeting from his position on Ollie's shoulder, just as the Head Ranger leans down to grab a lava cookie. He breaks it into two pieces, one for himself and one for Tofu, before letting the delicious treat crumble in his mouth.

[break][break] "How's it going? You must be glad you don't have to host this time," he asks, all charm and smiles. "It must be a pain to get ready." Every so often he glances at the entrance, perhaps to see who else might enter — or for those who know him well, to see when will make an appearance.

a fourth arrives by mundane means, travelling up from the science department on a lower floor to find herself sweeping through the threshold of the entrance into 's chamber. her fingers twitch for the familiar sensation of reality ripping apart beneath her touch, but nothing comes.

instead, she drifts further into the room with nothing more than an awkwardly sluggish gait and the heavy weight of space's omnipotence at her back. palkia is seemingly absent, with only the familiarity of a discolored automaton to fill the void.

and she says nothing at first, opting to grab a lava cookie quickly from the available snacks and filling a cup of coffee before turning to head for the table.

and lingering in the space left behind, where should be, is freya. she feels the weight of that truth on her shoulders as she walks noiselessly from the threshold to the refreshment table. more coffee fills the cup she'd brought with her, warming the cooled, perpetual circle of brown at its bottom. 

her clothes are plain and black, not quite worn for a funeral, but they very well may be. they match the horns curling up from her crown, but they mostly make her appear as an apparition - fair skin, hair like starlight; occasional golds ripple under irritated patches on her arms. 

as she takes a seat, bones aching, she grunts. coffee scalds her throat and she grimaces past the swallow, eyeing illeana and then penelope. but unlike her fellow councilwoman, freya cannot stomach the idea of indifferent pleasantries.

not when her failure is stamped into her skin, imprinted in her blood. 

"we have an eta on the others?" she asks quietly instead around another swallow of coffee.

Refreshments, seating, and even atop and , protection in the form of five uniquely colored Iron Valiants' littered around the chamber's edge. They stand stoic, each specializing in a different type of weapon, patient sentries waiting for a threat to emerge.

Alongside these silent protectors, Combee and Comfey flit about while Vespiquen watch from the shadows of their hives. The smell of spring carries throughout the entire chamber, hints of lilac and lavender, among the many.

Entering for the final time, Greyson carries a serving bowl filled with a thick, golden liquid. He places it next to a small advertisement for his and 's honey company: Royal Ambrosia. His other arm was wrapped so tightly in ethereal flower petals that he could scantly move it at all.

He'd been overconfident; the wound to his arm, and his ego, proof enough. Already he was working on ways to counter these issues for next time.

Pouring himself a cup of coffee, adding a bit of that Royal Ambrosia to add an ounce of sweetness, he makes his way to the group. He places the ensemble onto the table and, while the rest discuss amongst themselves, Greyson takes a moment to mix the honey more thoroughly.

He notes how terrible and look and finds their somber attitudes to be fitting for the situation. He recalls his last meetings with , and ruminates on the irritation that sparks when he takes in and . Satisfied with his efforts he lifts the cup to his lips, attention fixed on the floating . Before he could sip, however, he speaks, voice carrying across the chamber, aimed at no one in particular.
