THE SUNLIGHT IS BLAZING. alolan exeggutor frequent slateport's beaches. although they are not native to the region, several have come by, somehow sneaking on to ships. perhaps, some have been abandoned by their trainers who have been unable to properly house them (you would need very high ceilings, after all). however, some theorize that the radiation of the ultra space wormholes has caused some exeggutor and their offspring to mutate.[break][break]

the highest roll will earn a shiny alolan exeggutor (gender of your choice); the second highest roll will earn a regular alolan exeggutor, and the lowest roll will net an exeggutor (non-alolan variant).
the attempted capture will not consume a pokéball.
the alolan exeggutor/exeggutor have movesets that will be revealed at the end of the event.

at first he was wondering if someone planted a whole bunch of coconut trees on the beach while no one was looking but it was a pretty long stretch. just as long as the necks of these exeggutor that just stretched on and on to the point of absurdity. kazimir had to wonder how a bunch of eggs like execute could even evolve into something like that? especially since now it was part dragon according to the pokedex because....well because that made sense. guess dragon pokemon were really fond of scrambled eggs or something, either way kaz wasn't going to let them just walk away. so with a flick of the wrist he launched a ball at one of them.

Despite his many years of travel and handling many pokemon, there was one thing the man was not very good at. Handing eggs. Although he has taken care of a few eggs in his day, the man always dreaded it. It wasn’t that it was very hard. You just had to very careful all the time. And with Maverick lets go and fight attitude, it didn’t work in his favor. His thoughts ran back to his first egg he every hatched. It was a larvitar. The little rock and ground type wasn’t like the traditional one. It possessed iridescent scale pattern instead of the dark green skin it normally had. He remembered working very hard to not only hatch him but raise him into the tyranitar he was today. Another egg he had back in the day was a froakie who had bubbles have the consistency and persistence of down feathers. Of course, when the froggie was fully evolved he lost it. There was also Rurik, a poochyena who had white spots all over. Oh how he missed his old team. But if he hasn’t found them by now, Maverick knew he had to move on.

okay, that's not a palm tree...

she realizes it a second too late when she's suddenly not leaning against a tree but an actual pokemon. oh god, it's moving! she's scrambling, dazed and confused. is that supposed to be there? why does it look like a tree if it's not actually a tree? listen, she has a lot of questions.

more importantly, she realizes with a jolt as her eyes sweep across the beach... why are there so many of them? holy shit, there's hundreds! what are they doing here? better yet, why this particular beach? she can't help but tilt her head quizzically at the alolan exeggutor, whipping around to fully face it. it stares back at her with the blankest look she's ever seen, as if the lights upstairs are forever off and no one has been home in ages. odd...

she yeets a pokeball at it anyway.

Normally, he knew Slateport Beach to be nothing but an ocean of umbrellas and colorful beach towels scattered here and there.

That was, unless there was a huge-ass kaiju of a Tentacruel attacking the coast line and trying to lay waste to the place. Hopefully this time that would not be the case…

Wait a second, what the hell were those?

The glare of glinting sunlight off one particular palm tree caught his eye. Eggs? In this time and place? What the fuck? His mind went to all sorts of things.

He hadn’t seen this kind of Pokémon before, but Arceus they were blocking out the sunlight. Even if he didn’t like the hot weather, he knew he had to clear them out—and took aim, throwing a vacant Pokéball right at the crowd of sentient ‘trees’.

Standing in the shadow of such behemoths, however, he feels very, very small. He tilts his head back to observe the moving palm tree, with its egg-shaped heads seemingly squabbling over something.[break][break]

Though it's never been a Pokemon he's taken an interest in, it's sheer size makes him reconsider. Imagine the intimidation factor such a creature could have! There's a golden-coloured one that stands out from the small group, and Gavin naturally aims a thrown pokeball in its direction.[break][break]

Scorching heat poured down on the woman, her Durant nearby wheezing as she settled under some nice shade. Kaida and her team were true reptiles, extreme tempatures in either direction slayed them, leaving her team under the protection of shade and the coolness of the ocean. It was actually pretty picturesque. [break][break]

Kaida acted on instinct as Svart hissed and suddenly ran away, the mysterious trees suddenly moving. The egg-headed Pokemon were in a way, amusing, but she didn't want to see if their blind movement cracked somebody else's eggs. Even though it took away the wonderful shade, she threw a Pokeball. [break][break]

Adrian was primed and ready to throw a pokeball at the exeggutor moseying about Slateport beach. It was just like any other day spent capturing pesky pokemon, except it was about to go horribly wrong. As he primed his pitching arm, winding it back before hurling the pokeball, an unreasonably strong gale of leaves blew back at him, seizing the ball in its furor before returning to sender.

The pokeball crashed back against his face, causing no small amount of discomfort before Adrian's digits plucked it off his face, a tinge of pink left behind where it'd plastered against him. Really?!

Needless to say, he'd of course try again...

He had been abandoned in his youth, his parents left him to his own vices in a worn down cabin.

One day Eugene would awake to growling, discovering a Lycanroc [Midday Form] had wandered into his home, but once it realized Eugene posed no threat and was quite weak it sort of "adopted" him and he it. However unknown to the youth the Pokemon was female and eventually gave birth to two Pokemon Eggs. Sometime after during a trip into town to steal some food Eugene would return, discovering that the Mother was gone and what appeared to be some sort of struggle that had disturbed the terrain around the cabin.

So he waited...But, after two weeks he knew that the darkness of the world had struck again, taking from him another "parent".

As such Eugene swore to never let anything else bring him or his life down, he'd raise the Pokemon Eggs and together they'd watch out for each other. These eggs of course would eventually hatch into Rockruff twins, in time the three all became siblings. Evolving in their own ways, Eugene would become Noface while the Rockruff would respectively become Midday and Midnight Form Lycanroc.

This relates to present day due to Eugene and his Lycanroc duo being on the beach of Slateport, hunting down eggs...Or rather "Egg Pokemon" in the form of Exeggutor as well as their invasive Alolan variants. Working to capture some for Rocket's needs the Grunt would begin his own charge into the fray, following his Pokemon as they began to stalk down a target, Poke Ball ready to capture any downed beastie.

One minute, Oscar was minding his own business sizzling over easy under the sun. The next thing he knew, he had his sun blocked by some giant figure. As he lowered his sunglasses and looked to the source of the eclipse, he found an alolan exeggutor looking down upon him. Huh, Oscar's brother had one of these guys. He kinda always wanted one, but they always creeped him out. "Well this is eggciting!" He said outloud, immediately regretting it.

Fuck it, he threw a ball at its dumb face. Damn thing was blocking his sun anyhow.

Remiel wasn't one to tan, normally. But he developed a bit of a tan anyway during field excavations in Petalburg. So he'd come to the beaches of Slateport to even it out. Resting on a beach towel with black sunglasses and a pair of black trunks, he was content to take a short nap as the sunlight baked his skin. At least until he noticed the shadow of a palm frond come across him.

How strange. He hadn't set himself down beside a palm tree. That contradicted his efforts.

He opened his eyes to see, instead, a tall Alolan Exeggutor overhead. With a grunt of disapproval, he flicked the teacup that had been sleeping by his side. The ectoplasmic being within it quickly woke up, floating up into the sky before looking upwards from its saucer. "Shadow Ball it, will you?" He sighed, lifting himself up with his elbows as he reached for his nearby beach sack. And Earl Grey did just so, causing the large tree to groan and stumble backwards before Remiel tapped an empty luxury ball against its foot. It disappeared.

Devoured by the flash of light, Remiel was once again free of its unwanted shade. But would it stay put? He rolled the ball afar just in case...

There was little Isra hated as much as paying visits because said visits always ended up with her doing something she had absolutely no interest in.

Like running to the store in slateport for eggs because one of the elders was determined to bake something while she was in town. A dreadful endeavor in the middle of a summer day, but also the only way she could get away from yet another telling of an ancient story she knew by heart. Better than the elder did by this point.

Seeking a moment's reprieve, even if it only barely counts as one, the woman makes her way down the beach. The unusual pokemon hold her attention for the moment. She tosses the ball as an after thought, for the day grows warm and though she complains about her errand she can't say the idea of baked goods is disliked completely.

Valerio, being a Slateport local, knew by experience that this unisual spawn off egg pokémons was unusual for the city. Latched with him was his sobble Patrick who was still crying after not finding a good barbecue place. The rocket strolles the Slateport beach but decided to put his attention to these dragon-types instead.

Some exeggutor were aggressive, but some were also timid. He summoned his own Alolan exeggutor and tried calling the other’s attention with its own vibrant personality. Should he be able to catch one of them, perhaps it would depend if the sobble would stop crying and scaring off the exeguttor herd.
