as the shocks of the large beast's electricty send his two pokemon reeling back it isn't enough for kaine to consider even backing down. as he replayed the strike in his head he did notice that a certain tactic seemed to work, and seeing the lone wire flailing about separate from the main body was enough to strengthen the resolve for his idea. "venomoth, tear off that wire. scyther, shiftry, cut down that thing's leg again. this time stay away from it."

with his command the venomoth used its psychic energies on the wire to try and tear it off the beast. surely a sample of it would prove useful in some shape or form at least, and even if it didnt well...his ditto did manage to change into something alien that was for sure. his other two pokemon got to work on their ranged assault, scyhter slashing at the air with an air slash to try and shred away at the leg and tear off more wires with shiftry joining its efforts with a second leaf tornado. it was probably dangerous to cut wires this way but doing dangerous things came with the job after all.

Samuel’s focus on the assault on the beast allowed him to spot the exposed wiring that was a result of said attacks.

At first, the man was taken aback at the sight of the wiring coming from the inside of what he assumed to be a living creature but given that this was a being from a realm he knew nothing about, he supposed he shouldn’t be surprised.

And the way it just fits so well with the creature thematically it would be humorous in almost any other situation.

”Attack there, like the others did.” He ordered his two Pokémon, point towards the exposed wiring.

His Alakazam fired off and FOCUS BLAST the orb of energy flying straight for the giant Ultra Beast’s legs.

The sight of the legendary Groudon had the man completely awestruck and if he had gazed any longer he probably would’ve missed his comrades moving behind the colossal Pokémon to avoid the bolts. He’d take refuge behind the beast just as they did and just to be safe he ordered his Salamence to use PROTECT.

WAR OF THE WORLDS RAID
SETTING: LATE SEPTEMBER
THIRD DAY OF THE WAR



THE TRAVELING BOLTS


LIGHTNING RUSHES ACROSS THE ROUTE. Those sequestered in Mauville’s city cower in their indoor shelter. The windows glow with lightning as the sky roars with every thunderous step the Xurkitree makes.[break][break][break]

Those who attempt to flank or surround the Xurkitree would find that the beast cares little, for it is too big to truly be sandwiched. As ’s Mega Gardevoir attempts to DAZZLING GLEAM the Ultra Beast, it raises an arm to defend itself. The Gardevoir is dwarved by the sheer size of its limb, the beautiful brilliance striking a small stretch on its wiry arm. As his Zekrom rushes in with a fierce DRAGON BREATH, the Xurkitree’s tail swings. Huge prongs jutting out of its tail reach out to attempt to pierce the legendary.[break][break][break]

When Groudon is summoned into the plane, would witness the scarlet behemoth be submerged in the flashing bolt of electricity. The bolt is not blocked— for it passes through the Groudon. While the Groudon sustains some damage— it is able to summon PIERCING BLADES OF STONE to knock the Xurkitree back briefly.[break][break][break]

Others attempt to avoid the incoming bolts. Like tornadoes, they surge across the field and burn their trails into grass and stone. Several Pokemon come to Bailey’s aid. As CONFUSE RAYS and ROCK BLASTS batter the Shadow Druddigon, ’s Shadow Aggron HEAVY SLAMS the dragon. However, the Druddigon’s head is terribly strong— acting as an incredible bulwark against any blunt attack. The opportunity allows for ’s Druddigon to DRAIN PUNCH ’s Steelix, causing it to faint immediately despite ’s Pokemon’s healing.[break][break][break]

The Druddigon continues to be ganged upon. And as the electric bolt surges past the Groudon, it strikes ’s Kommo-o and ’s Druddigon in the process. is forced to escape its path, for the bolt electrifies the weakened Shadow Druddigon— and subsequently kills it.[break][break][break]

’s Haxorus is struck by the electricity as well. Although Raichu’s LIGHTNING ROD activates, the pillar of electricity is too powerful to siphon away the bolt from its allies. As the bolts continue, they also strike 's Zeraora, ’s Venusaur, 's Gallade as it barely allows its trainer to escape electrocution, 's Camerupt, 's Mega Manectric, and 's Venomoth. Although they do not faint, they suffer PARALYSIS (excluding Zeraora, Camerupt & Manectric) alongside ’s Kommo-o.[break][break][break]

Around the affected Pokemon, a 30 foot circle of electricity crackles around them. As if they had something similar to an ELECTRIC TERRAIN, the earth or area around them is staticky. However, it appears as if the electricity is about to burst from its shape unless something is done to neutralize the attack.[break][break][break]

THE GENERALS


AS THE BOLTS TRAVEL, those hiding behind Pokemon must flee their path. Their Pokemon assault the Xurkitree's body and exposed wires, causing more cordage to peel away. Attempts to pull away or snip wires work— however, 's Sharpedo and 's Vikavolt sustains a terrible shock from touching them or being near them. Thankfully, those who attack from afar, such as 's Braviary, are able to avoid the electrical backlash.[break][break][break]

While 's Gyarados heals, 's Metagross mega evolves, extending its spider-like limbs to grow accustomed to its new form. His Flygon's SAND TOMB attempts to knock the Xurkitree's footing off balance. 's Hydreigon adds more EARTHPOWER, the upheaved earth around the Xurkitree violently disturbed.[break][break][break]

's Mega Manectric summons a powerful FLAMETHROWER to attack alongside its legendary brethren, while and 's Pokemon SCALD the wires. Thanks to 's protections, she is instrumental in allowing her party to escape the incoming bolt and to lessen the pain of shock should a spark or limb of electricity strikes them. They spark frenetically as 's Duraludon sees an opening with LASER FOCUS. As the Xurkitree lifts its foot, dirty copper prongs reveal themselves like fragile toes.[break][break][break]

's Shadow Gardevoir uses NIGHT SHADE. However, the generals are high up, in the clouds, and it must TELEPORT up several times to ensure that it occurs. As 's Zekrom fires a DRAGON BREATH, it buys enough time for the Psychic-type to make the distance.[break][break][break]

When the Xurkitree stumbles, Jules Cotillard slips off the Ultra Beast's shoulder. Philomera swiftly jumps after him. Behind her, a brilliant burst of light beams out from her back. She swoops down quickly, catching him as her jetpack activates to allow her to maneuver in the air.[break][break][break]

Tahlia and her rangers continue to attack the Xurkitree nearby, the Tropius firing sharp blizzards of leaves.[break][break][break]

A powerful surge of light escapes from Meteor Falls' direction. Suddenly, the light showers across the field, invigorating those who are tired with a sudden swell of energy. would know this feeling, for her primal glyphs begin to glow... The Silvally on the ground suddenly stop their aggression. Bathed in this brilliance, the Silvally revert to a more obedient state.[break][break][break]

ALL SILVALLY ON THE FIELD GAIN ACCESS[break]TO THE Z-MOVE: BREAKNECK BLITZ (FOR THIS EVENT ONLY).

THE WORMHOLE


’S VICTORY STAR ACTIVATES. The ice around his body begins to melt, trickling down as warm streams down his clothes as he pushes himself through the portal using his STEALTH ROCK.[break][break][break]

[break][break][break]

realizes there is little time to bid farewell to the terrifying creatures lurking in the rifts. They flash their red eyes toward their extradimensional windows before disappearing into their abysses. As the wormhole begins to collapse, they follow, after a delay, into the same wormhole slipped into.[break][break][break]

They find themselves falling out into the exposed POWER PLANT’s basement. The large wormhole exists like a pit in the ground, and they are spat out onto the steel flooring. To leave the building, they must take a staircase at the end of the hallway they are in to access the ground floor which has been exposed to the outdoors due to the Xurkitree’s unearthing. However, and would find that their bodies are burdened with chunks of ice.[break][break][break]

THE XURKITREE ATTACKS


ON ITS BODY WHITE ZIP-TIE LIKE BANDS travel up and down its limbs. There is one on each limb. And as they travel up and down the black cordage of the Xurkitree, it seems to be repairing it. Cut open cords are smoothed over with new rubbery material. Furthermore, they seem to be holding the Xurkitree's bundle of black cords together...[break][break][break]

The Xurkitree attempts to charge itself once again. However, the Pokemon struck by the bolts crackle with an intensifying energy. Should nothing be done, a terrible release of energy is sure to follow.[break][break][break]

Furthermore, the Xurkitree's pronged-tail attempts to lunge for 's Zekrom. Should it miss, it would strike at any Pokemon nearby, especially those in the air.[break][break][break]

THIS RAID WILL FEATURE several objectives or goals for your characters to accomplish. You do not need to fulfill each objective for full rewards. Instead, they have been designed to offer you all guidance. You will notice there are overall objectives and round objectives. Overall objectives are goals to accomplish over the course of the entire raid. Round objectives are specific to the posting round they are for. Rex's Haxorus bellowed as it hit the floor, electrical energy crackling around it and paralyzing it. Rex had Armaldo be set down and circled around, staying outside the electrical area...he only had one choice to try and help though, "Don't get near her!" He yelled as his Pokemon meandered closer, taking out a Pokeball and trying to return the Haxorus. It was all he could do. [break][break]

Regardless of success or failure, he whirled One around and pointed, "Mess 'em up, One!" If they killed this monster, it had to be over, right? They couldn't have anything stronger than this thing, right? One swooped low, trying to avoid any attacks as he shot Ancientpower at the kaiju. At the same moment, Two used Brine. They salty water hurt on wounds, hopefully they could short-circuit this monster. Careful as ever, Four used Light Screen, expecting to be hit by an attack at any moment. [break][break]

As the Steelix goes down from the Drain Punch, despite the efforts of his Clawitzer to keep it conscious, Thomas shoots an apologetic look. Not that it could be discerned from the mask he was wearing at the time. Still, at least the Druddigon didn't last long, as the bolt electrifies and kills the corrupted Pokemon. All he and his Pokemon could do was continue to move to avoid the bolt of lightning, thankfully managing to clear the way.

When the lightning bolt storm subsided, Thomas sent out Ripper the Scizor. The large insect saw the surviving Megalopolan troops, as well as their Pokemon coming, and with a bloodthirsty grin, performed a Brutal Swing on a group of them, his large and heavy pincers smashing the bones of the aliens on impact with disturbing ease, the onslaught only enhanced by Technician. Freke, seeing the Nangandal mounts, would begin to assail them with Expanding Force.

As the tail came for the Black Dragon of Legend, Thomas and Kalameet would fly to escape the path of the appendage. Upon seeing the zip tie moving up and down its limbs to repair its rubbery "flesh, Thomas patted the Hydreigon on its back. "Let's give them a taste of your Draconian Wrath. Left leg. Aim for the big fuck off zip tie.", Thomas told the Dark Dragon.

Taking aim for the zip tie on the left leg of the abomination, Hydreigon would charge up a blast of dark energy from all three of his mouths, taking on the shape of his main head. Once complete, the unique Z-Move, Draconian Wrath, would fire off towards the zip tie, attempting to sever, or at least weaken the thing.

As this was going on, Colt would attempt to capitalize on this, looking for any exposed wiring he can, before firing a Water Pulse towards the first spot he could see. This, like most of his attacks, was boosted by Mega Launcher.

Okay, cool. Destroy the cycling road, pollute once fresh water, and all that ever fun stuff. But this? This was taking it way too far. A look of pure, bitter resentment caused her nose to scrunch up. Her phone, her precious phone, had short-circuited due to high intensity electrical current that now surrounded the makeshift party.

She forced herself to breathe: right, right.. this was a matter of life and death. Aliens were invading. But her phone was innocent!. Yep. She was totally cool now: composure regained. Surely Captcha or Porygon would be able to fix it, right? 

The funeral and vigil would have to wait (for now). Electric surged through the earth at a high enough voltage for Gigi to be shook. Hair instinctively stood up on her head, arms, and what not as the static threatened the steamer. 

”We need to get away from this zone.” Well.. duh. Had the electricity fried her brain already? Ugh, whatever, she could be embarrassed about stating the obvious later. Terabyte was inflicted with paralysis, causing limbs to go numb and prickle with an uncomfortable pain, but the drought was still active. Chlorophyll compensated, at least in some regards, for the status ailment. 

As Gigi tried to calculate the nearest path to safety, she commanded her “troop” into a defensive position. A cautious strategy was needed- rushing head first into the fray would surely spell doom. Terabyte, heal up as much as you can and you, Duracell, continue to charge.” 

The bright sun was turned into photosynthesis, allowing Terabyte to restore energy and speed the recovery of any wounds. Meanwhile, Duracell began to draw in the strong force of electricity that surrounded him, as if he was a rechargeable battery that needed to be charged. 

Captcha and his now army of clones levitated above the volatile current. While the team did their best to retreat towards a relatively safe path, the Rotom cast a hex on one of the many wires that threatened their safety, the hex trying to eat away at the wiring and helping to short circuit the oversized, personified version of a failed attempt at stringing the lights on a Christmas tree. 

Though her thoughts were frantic, Gigi tried to remain cool as she scanned the skies and battlegrounds for .

They are spat from the portal with all the elegance of a beast regurgitating its meal; Gavin's grip on Corviknight is the anchor which stops him from colliding with the ground, the bird's wings flaring as it shrieks its distaste. Though the world ceases its frenzied spinning, his stomach continues to churn. He's freezing, limbs stiff with crawling frost.[break][break]

He breaks off as he notes the Machamp's advance. His Pokemon leap into action to defend him: Lucario DETECTING the threat and launching itself forward to protect him, and Corviknight spreading its wings with an IRON DEFENSE to form a physical barrier of steel-and-feathers between Gavin and the threat.[break][break]

"What the hell is wrong with you? I'm on your side! Miss Fairburne is a bloody gym leader!" He couldn't reveal the true reason for his allegiance to her, after all. Gavin jabs his finger down the hall. "There's a war on, we need to get back out there!"[break][break]

Should his Pokemon be successful in keeping the Machamp at bay, Gavin calls his Lycanroc onto the field. Lycanroc could pack a FIERY PUNCH, but Gavin sought only to warm himself and melt the ice hindering his movement. If unrestrained, he would sprint down the hall toward the stairs with his Pokemon in pursuit.

Gavin's expelled from the wormhole cold and disoriented, gets knocked off Corviknight by 's quick attack.[break][break]
Lucario and Corviknight attempt to intercept the Machamp's grapple (on Gavin in particular) with DETECT and IRON DEFENSE. Gavin insists that they're on the same side and that is a gym leader.[break][break]
If he isn't grappled, Gavin attempts to send his Lycanroc back out, but doesn't order any of his Pokemon to attack. Lycanroc uses FIRE PUNCH to ignite its fists and hopefully melt the ice. If he's neither restrained nor stopped by , he then heads for the stairs.[break][break]

[attr=class,bulk]Even from a distance, the scene if picture perfect. It is only the lesser assailants who are perhaps difficult to discern, harrying the Xurkitree as it advances. A Primal Groudon and a Zekrom meet with the otherworldly giant head on, and perhaps suffer for it, but remain contenders nonetheless. As their battle is waged and the earth trembles, others are quickly to begin tearing at the monster, revealing its weaknesses...[break][break]

"...Karma, did you see that?" He looks around for his Alakazam, but they have already taken off using a series of TELEPORT after witnessing the incident firsthand. Armed with two knives it arrives on a freshly cleaned arm, pooling the vaunted strength of its latent FUTURE SIGHT and applying it to the odd zip tie-esque construct. When the object of its fixation is suitably weakened, it hacks and slashes with an unbefitting ferocity, chipping away at the weakened piece until it sustains enough wear-and-tear before falling away...[break][break]

Adrian cannot help but worry as a pokemon seemingly abandons him, even if it is for such a brave and noble purpose. Amongst the wartorn fields ravaged by godlike creatures, the insignificant stature of a human seems feeble and meaningless. Who could say what untold scores of trainers had already perished, the instance of their fall not even recognized amidst the clamor of war?[break][break]

"Vixen, patch us up some more..." As the fighting rages, a beacon of light erupts from the far distance, but the column is so radiant and massive that it can be seen from anywhere in the region. As its energy begins to disperse, Adrian finds himself a little less downtrodden, as do his pokemon. Perhaps even his spirit is lifted, if only slightly. Enough to bring him back down to earth.[break][break]

"Omen, I have an idea, but it's going to sound weird..." As he went on at length about the idea he was proposing, the pokemon seemed alarmed, perhaps even nervous, but it otherwise showed every sign of compliance. Soon after they began to test the idea, Adrian allowing the Grimmsnarl to tether them together, securing Adrian against it like a back pack, its prehensile hair securing him tightly against its body.[break][break]

"Can you run like this...?" Although it was at least partially slowed down, it wasn't entirely bogged down by his weight, capable of running even if the strain was marginally greater. "Bring your barriers together like a shield," he further instructed, the REFLECT and LIGHT SCREEN reducing in size and overlapping in such a way as to provide an impromptu buckler.[break][break]

Omen gave an affirming grunt before Adrian nodded back, turning his attention to Vixen and gesturing ahead with a tilt of his head. "We're going. Be ready for anything." As they began to move forward, Adrian wasn't entirely sure what he had planned. As the League forces ravaged the beast, its body releases surges of electricity that could prove lethal to anyone caught in its blast.[break][break]

Yet perched upon its shoulder were the two heads of the invading forces, commandeering the supercharged giant from what they likely thought to be a safe vantage. Yet it too offered another means from which to kill them, Adrian surmised as he counted on the Groudon's attacks to rock the beast enough to throw off the commanders' footing. Come on, fall, you damn bastards...

Something washed over her.[break][break]

An unseen force; Bailey trembled as it seeped into her skin, and felt it run warm to her core.[break][break]

The markings came to light, bleeding the blacks to something illuminate; something her eyes had not seen before, calling back to the stange, primal-like evolution that Groudon had undergone when they had first met.[break][break]

“Fuck,” and she was not used to this feeling, not used to the way that her body acted like a sponge that was eager to drain all that it came into contact with.[break][break]

The energy was radiating from somewhere far away, and she knew that by the current; like feeling a breeze that ran fast when cascading over mountains, this was something intangible that her body was able to sense when it crossed over her.[break][break]

There was no time to process the feeling. She could only hope that it was a sign of victory.[break][break]

Her eyes cast back, able to spy Aggron as it knelt next to her fainted Steelix. The thumbs-up from the shadow pokemon signaling that the Steelix was still alive, but out cold.[break][break]

Then, over her other shoulder, witnessing her Kommo-o as electricity rendered it unable to move.[break][break]

“I fucked up,” and she could almost feel Groudon's displeasure in the low, throaty rumble. “Oh, come on! You're a ground type, okay? You stomached it!”[break][break]

Three pokeballs were fetched. She attempted to withdraw her remaining pokemon on the field, knowing that they had run rampant for long enough.[break][break]

“Do something about the bands. They're like a zipties holding this thing together. Do something to slice 'em,” but reaching such heights, even with precipice blades, would be an issue.[break][break]

So, Groudon rumbled even deeper, tapping into something in its gullet as light began to pool and overflow from jagged teeth; solar beam.[break][break]

And the magnificent cascade was condensed, localized into a laser-like strike that swept across the body of the creature; from the ground up, Groudon raised its head as it intended to slice the cluster of white bands that ran from one leg to its waist... if the beam could sustain itself across such distance.[break][break]

It didn't take long to notice that Wyn wasn't with him or the others long after the teleport. The ranger cursing inwardly as nothing but worry crawled up his back as he put his hands to his mouth and whistled for Shamrock. The dragon turned back to his trainer as he called out, "Head back to Wyn do whatever you can to help!" Razz ordered and with a nod the ground dragon was off as fast as his wings could take him while the Ranger stood with Whis and Cobalt to try and think of what else they could do. Especially now as the weird zipties seemed to be moving up and down to fix up the wires that were breaking. Well shit. [break][break]

As annoying as that was Razz still had no plans on giving in just yet as he ordered Cobalt to use FLASH CANNON in combination of the ground type Legends's SOLAR BEAM up the left leg of the kaiju that towered above them in hopes of striking the zipties that ran of it's leg. Razz figured if his Mega-Evolved pokemon could add anything to it's power it would be a plus. Noting the electricity building a blue electricity formed around the Zeraora as it used PLASMA FIST to combat the electricity with their own in order to strike the wires of the Ultra Beast in hopes that it would break open and hopefully discharge some of the energy it was building up.[break][break]

Meanwhile Razz stood upfront to command Whis and Cobalt, Shamrock flew back in direction his trainer pointed. It didn't take long to see the odd electric field that his paralyzed comrade was trapped in. Thankfully though he was a GROUND-TYPE so the Flygon was more than willing to quickly fly down and grab hold of the Gallade to get them away from the electric terrain that formed around them and get them as far away from it as possible before heading back toward it's their trainer again. Shamrock would make sure to use DRAGON BREATH if anything came in their way of getting back to help.

The nasty static shock snapping to Jaw's snoot, causing the creature to shakes his face in the water, as if that would clear it right up. His malice daunted, the shark flitted away back into the darkest depths of the river to get its bearings. There would be a time where he would make a return, but for now the xurkitree's power was too much to bear.

Meanwhile thousands of miles away, Andy watched the electric light show from his aerial perch, and thanked his lucky stars that it wasn't him getting the deluxe experience of a fork in a light socket, a mistake he had thankfully missed in his early childhood. Much as before, he had little to offer in ways to deal with the overgrown foe's attacks.

The yanmega buzzed away from their position hovering over the ground, up the height of the lumbering xurkitree as fast as her speed boost would allow. Andy prayed the other trainer's attacks would keep the big bastard distracted enough, enough for him to get close. As they neared the light, he could better see that it was two megalopolans, but these two differed from the others.

''Surprise bitch boys!'' He shouted as they closed the distance. Alas, this was to distract from his gangar's hypnosis targeted at the female from below. Despite the frozen wind and the ice that clung to her body, Katherine is seething with anger and fury like no other. Whereas most would be thankful that they’re still breathing, all she wants to do is scream and shout at her own Pokemon for acting against her wishes.

This war has been terrible all around, but this day has been a nightmare. She should have stayed there. Blacephalon should not have fainted. The wormhole should’ve been more stable.

And most importantly, should not have tempered with her plans.

They are thrown out of the portal like yesterday’s trash, and the landing is anything but graceful. Her pack of ghosts (and levitating psychic-type) merely float about, avoiding the harsh blow she receives from the floor.

The gym leader’s eyes remain closed as she shakes her head, a lousy attempt at calming herself. “This idiot. This fucking idiot—” And they open again just in time to watch Lucas’s pokemon assaulting them with physical attacks.

Again, the ghosts manage to avoid any sort of damage. They phase through Dusknoir, a spectre in the room, who’s angered just as much as its trainer.

The shadow pokemon lacked the restraint its partners seemed to hold. In response, it extends its shadow across the floor in an attempt at assaulting the scientist then and there. It morphs into a claw, intent of slashing Lucas across his chest.

“DUSKNOIR! Don’t!”

But it’s too late, it had made its move, just as Lucas’s own pokemon did. The QUICK ATTACK connects and knocks Katherine along with Gavin, but thankfully, the STRENGTH is intercepted by ’s DETECT.

”Soul, stop this.” Her command is short and sweet, and the Reuniclus sends a SURGE of PSYCHIC to hold the shadowfied beast in place, to stop it from assaulting the scientist further.

Amethyst, in the meantime, reverts to her normal form and treats the chunks of ice with a dose of WILL O WISP.

“Lane, listen closely to what I have to say. I am not your freaking enemy. The aliens are, you hear me?” She hisses when a flame licks at her skin. Her arm turns red, but the ice slowly begins to melt. Despite the pain, Katherine pushes through. She lifts both of her blood-coated hands to reveal them before Lucas.

“Do you see this? I bleed fucking red— this is blood, alright? Human blood. We’re on the same side, and we need to get out of here.”

☆ lucas attacks kat & gavin with a normal / fighting attacks, so his pokemon phase through hers. she's knocked back along with gavin due to the QUICK ATTACK, and relies on gavin to protect them from the STRENGTH.
☆ dusknoir is also very pissed, shadow pokemon, you know. it uses SHADOW SNEAK with the intent of slashing lucas's chest.
☆ to prevent further attacks, reuniclus is ordered to use PSYCHIC to hold the beast in place. sableye in the meantime reverts to their normal form and uses WILL O WISP to melt the ice.
☆ kat tries to reason with lane and shows him her blood, because why not

as the xuriktree’s tail lashes out to strike against zekrom and calcifet, dominic’s steelix jolts away and careens around the groudon as it attempts to use the titan as a buffer once more. [break][break]

catching sight of the way the zipties move across the beast’s limbs - of the way that the damage inflicted is being slowly undone - dominic’s brow quirks into a frown and he orders his pokemon to attack one of the more mangled ones with a gesture of his hand. [break][break]

as a flurry of DAZZLING GLEAMS, AIR SLASHES and DARK PULSES are aimed at the ziptie sliding along the xuriktree’s limbs, dominic’s gaze lifts to follow the distant specks of the megalopolan commanders and then back down to tahlia and her reinforcements. [break][break]

“you see that?” he says softly, quiet as he lifts his gaze back to the commanders. “think we can reach them?” dominic watches the darkrai in his shadow shift, almost corporeal now, as it follows his line of sight and seems to contemplate the distance as though taking aim.

"You're kidding." Circe couldn't look any less unamused as she watched the couple escape their fate of falling via a jetpack. She had to admire the creativity though - and had she not been in this current situation, was positive she'd find this turn of events hilarious.

"Absol," the call towards the white canine was heeded with a solemn nod. A familiar bracelet flashes, and from where it stands, the pokemon is encased in a brilliant light. With a snarl and shake of its now ruffled white coat, the MEGA EVOLVED pokemon faced towards the electrical behemoth.

Its horn illuminates in a blinding sheen before a PSYCHO CUT is released, the blade of energy aimed to target the zip-tie on the Xurkitree's arm.

Dragapult and Gengar's sights are set on the generals. "Go for it." Circe merely commands. Stitching itself into the dragon's shadow, Dragapult abruptly disappears with a PHANTOM FORCE, seeking to close the distance safely and attack the hovering generals with the element of surprise. Gengar tags along - should it be given the opportunity once they reappear, a PSYCHIC would try to keep the hovering megalopolan generals in place.

Her Shiinotic has preoccupied itself with attempting to offer 's steelix a POLLEN PUFF.

"Leave it alone." The annoyed snarl is directed towards her pokemon, who only giggles. She hated it.
