Cathrine was just there as the side piece, interacting minimally with her surroundings. She allowed Callan to do most of the interacting while she merely observed. Taking in the sights of the people, the sounds, the joys, laughter, and the competitive spirit around her. Though it seemed Callan was intent on somehow trying to help her build connections. She was grateful for the thought but considered it unnecessary. Tonight was meant for fun and games and other leisure activities.

Still, she said her greetings and took the hand of Melody Miro giving it a gentle shake, hopefully matching the force of the songstress in front of her, before letting the woman return her attention to Callan. It was quite an interesting conversation between Melody and Callan, and she wondered if she ought to start taking notes in case Callan grew famous enough to want a biography made.

Though as things were getting good. Killian made his entrance, before delivering chips and lucky numbers to all the guests, Cathrine and Callan included. She felt Callan holding her waist and leading her into the Casino, and she followed along.

Still, as they walked, Callan seemed to release that he was about to lose an opportunity to promote. She couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit, what was this, the third introduction he made now? Appreciated as his efforts were, there was a time and place for everything. And this was not the time for unpaid advertisement.

“I appreciate the effort Callan, but remember, we are here to play. Work can wait until tomorrow.” She spoke calmly reminding him of their purpose as he seemed to not get the hint from Martín del Mar.

Leave it Mars to make such blatant flirtations in so public a space. Barnaby relished the implication, of course; they'd been playing this game for months now, after all. He'd thought of it as a game of cat and mouse, but perhaps a game of chicken was a more appropriate way of thinking about it. Escalation after escalation. Lips parted in preparation to respond, but he was cut off by Killian Decker's impressive entrance.

As Killian finished his speech, conversation was drummed up around them. To Melody Miro's nod, Barnaby smiled warmly in return, allowing Martín del Mar to make his introduction. "Wonderful to meet you, Ms. Miro, especially after such an exquisite performance."

Barnaby left it there, not wanting to take up too much of the celebrity's time at the moment, considering the other lines of conversation that were going on in their group - one of which tugged at his attention.

Teravolt. The name sparked a vague memory of an advertisement on HNN's latest issue. He'd taken a moment to listen to the band's debut single 'Becoming Closer to Closure', but it wasn't to his specific musical tastes, so Barnaby hadn't connected the dots until now. So Callan Young was apart of the up-and-coming Teravolt?

Perhaps the recent fame was what made him feel comfortable enough to insist on talking business when Martín del Mar had steered the conversation away from such a topic.

"I agree with Ms. Fisher. Let's just enjoy our night and save boorish business for another time, hm?" On cue, a GOTHITELLE glided over to him and offered the casino's opening gifts. Barnaby gladly took the chips, engraved with the image of a gilded STARMIE, and pocketed them for later.

It was time to begin the festivities. Already guests were beginning to stream into the casino, excited to gamble their earnings away. Barnaby was no different and, with a bright smile, he paused at the entrance to applaud Killian Decker. "It came out beautifully, Killian. Congratulations to you and Martín on such a successful endeavor."

Carefully making a few self-conscious adjustments to her purple cocktail dress and matching clutch, Xiura Balfaltin lingered in the Casino Starlight's spacious plaza, taking a moment to admire the beautiful fountain and the fanciful attire of the people around her. At her side with a calmly swishing tail, Delcatty kept pace. Xiura had never been to a casino before, and she hoped that Delcatty's soothing presence would help keep her nervousness at bay.

"Let's find out where to go," Xiura said to her feline companion, her swiftly wandering gaze betraying her anticipation of the night's events that lay ahead. There was so much to look at, and they were not even within the casino yet. The brilliance of Melody Miro 's lively musical performance and Killian Decker 's breathtaking entrance were beyond words. There were so many unfamiliar faces, made all the more intimidating by the sparkling ensembles and accessories, but she breathed a sigh of relief to see Aurelie Lefevre nearby, collecting chips from a Gothitelle.

That seemed like the right way of things, so Xiura trotted over a little more quickly than may have been strictly dignified for such a formal venue. To be fair, she was quite excited to find a friendly face. "Miss Lefevre! It's nice to see you again, how are you?"

With a smile and polite nod of thanks, Xiura accepted her own complimentary chips from the Gothitelle, taking note of the numbers inscribed on the surface of the Pokeball.

"I've always held a fascination with herbalism and toxicology - you know, as much as forty percent of medicines come from plant derivatives." He makes an absent little motion with his hand, the champagne held easily in his grip, as he continues, "Ah, but I shouldn't bore you with all of that."

With a thoughtful little noise resonating deep in his chest, he asks curiously, "Are you quite familiar with the importation of flowers? There is a variety of chrysanthemum I've had difficulty tracking down in this Region." Brow arched as he awaits her answer, his scarlet gaze casts sidelong when he realises they are not alone.

"Pardon me, Ms Fiorelli."

Blinking once, he observes Cyg for an almost uncomfortable span of silence as if waiting for something, and his head tilts subtly to the side. When it seems nothing will occur, however, he clicks tongue against the roof of his mouth and then bows slightly at the waist. "Ms Cygne, if I recall. I almost did not see you there," Tianyu greets, his head inclining with his words. "It's a pleasure to see you again. I trust your pokemon are well in their training."

Tianyu then sips at his champagne, his expression cultured into a pleasant display of interest as he entertains the two women before him.

Melody's Hatteren cut in between them with a well timed swing of it's hair-hand. Odd... though not entirely unusual, perhaps the Pokemon had felt that Callan was getting a little too comfortable with Melody. Either way, it didn't stop him before when he greeted her though, perhaps it was another thing.

Regardless, they began to walk over as @killian began to introduce the casino itself. Callan walked with the group, no expense was spared it seemed with the construction of the casino. He took a clear drink with an olive in the center, hoping it was a dry martini, to his pleasant surprise, it was. Callan chuckled as Melody spoke, given that he'd already been a little spicy earlier, he decided it was better to have the moment pass rather than potentially poking Mars past a comfortable threshold.

"You can have my talents whenever you wish Mel." He grinned, though it seemed as if she had something in mind. "Oh... well, I'll have to take that bet. But..." Callan paused, as they arrived at the roulette. "Half the coins? Are you trying to rob me before I have a chance to play all the games Miro?!" "Good to see you, Miss Balfaltin," she answered. "I'm glad to encounter a fellow small business owner here among all the high-powered celebrities."

When Killian Decker beckoned everyone to follow him inside, Aurelie unhesitatingly hastened after him as quickly as she could manage, with her dress and heels impeding her normally long strides. The interior of the casino looked just as impressive as the outside, featuring bold, geometric patterns, vivid colors, and lots of rare, luxurious materials in its design. The variety of different Pokemon serving as casino staff and security was even more remarkable to Aurelie, who often felt she had her hands full with only her handful of Pokemon at the moment.

The first casino game that Killian introduced them to was roulette—or, as his variant was called, Galaxy Roulette. Aurelie drew in a breath between her teeth, a flutter of uncertainty darkening her expression. Roulette normally wouldn't be her game of choice, being so inherently random that losing money seemed almost guaranteed. But when the guests were essentially playing with house money to start with, thanks to the complimentary casino chips, Aurelie wanted to try every game here at least once, if she could afford it. Tonight would hardly be an adventure if she didn't enjoy the casino's offerings to the fullest, after all!

With that in mind, the red-haired smith approached the roulette wheel to lay down her bid. She pursed her lips for a moment, hesitating, and then produced only a single chip, laying it on the roulette table as gently as if it were a delicate Pokemon egg. Tonight should be an adventure, yes, but that didn't mean she had to be reckless, either.

"I'll bet one chip on evens, please," she requested with a self-deprecating chuckle. "All the numbers on the complimentary Pokeballs were even, so those clearly will be lucky for me, right?"

Parting ways with the kinky couple, Rika entered the illustrious casino proper, awestruck by the flashy interior design and the machinations that kept the entire venue running, each Pokémon carrying out a specific task. And the best part? All of these Pokémon technically belonged to Team Rocket!

Czar's pupils narrowed as he noticed the curly tail wiggling among the patron's feet, his hunter instincts kicking in. Luckily the Rattata crawled into a hole on the wall before it could become cat food. For his troubles, the zeta predator got a comically-sized bump on his head, as he crashed into said wall.

"Oh, you poor, poor thing. I know what will cheer you up..." Rika said, picking a teary-eyed Czar up in his arms, before strutting towards the roulette table. "Wanna see the ball spinning? I bet you do!" He petted the Alolan Meowth's head, whose already big eyes widened even further in anticipation.

"I think I'll bet on EVEN as well." The cross-dressing grunt said, placing 2 CHIPS on the table. His other Meowth, Duchess, got so excited that she accidentally unleashed her PAY DAY move. A bunch of koban coins rained down from the ceiling, a true gambler's blessing.

Lex takes her chips with a smile and heads on inside with everyone else. On her way towards the first game table he wants to show off, she grabs a glass of champagne off the tray of a passing Gothitelle. Lex regards the pokemon with a thankful nod before sipping the bubbly drink.

The red head slides in beside Aurelie Lefevre, a fellow red head, and gives the board a once over. She grins at the two bets. Her own numbers were all odd (and two the same, how unlucky). Regardless she’s here to have fun and support her fiancé’s endeavors, “So many for even! I may as well go for the odds,” Lex places 2 CHIPS on the designated square.

“Good luck,” she smile, raising her champagne glass to the others. She raises a gloved hand to usher a passing Gothlitelle over with their tray. It gracefully obliges, holding out drinks for those that wish to indulge in the libations.
