This Mantine has absolutely NO remorse at all. It’s the Mantine from HELL!

“EASY FOR YOU TO SAY!” was his initial scream at Guillermo Marceliño as the Mantine he was stuck with showed absolutely no fucking mercy at all.

Oy.

He wanted to do nothing more but to wail in the open, however the Mantine that had unfortunately clung herself to his sorry ass was abso-fucking-lutely determined to get that stupid trick, regardless if the human she was carrying was terrified of the water.

(Hey, at least she wasn’t letting him fall, right?!)

Off they went again, screaming human and cackling Mantine as they tried the Magikarp Splash yet again.

She supposed she was lucky in that she hadn't fallen off her Mantine or been knocked over by a powerful wave, let alone gotten injured or drowned like she'd feared; she'd just failed to perform the trick she'd wanted to show off and usually ended up landing off-balance or never completing the flip in the first place. So, it's not a complete disaster, she thought caustically, just bad. So bad.

With a grumble, she guided her Mantine once more toward the highest waves. She was going to master this simple Lanturn 360 for sure this time, she vowed. Aurelie closed her eye for a moment, trying to remember how she'd accomplished it in the first place. A back flip and front flip, followed by a full 360 flip in the air—it should be doable. She clenched her fist at her side before assuming the wide, balanced stance and bending her knees slightly in readiness for the trick. You can do this, she told herself. You can pull off this trick. Probably. Hopefully.

Jack was beginning to feel slightly discouraged about how difficult this Magikarp Splash trick was, but she shrugged his shoulders. This was a nice break from everything else going on in the world, so why not enjoy it? He vaults back onto the Mantine, aims for a wave, and makes another attempt.

She had tried the Magikarp and failed. That was to be expected with her limited experience. Alas, she was not one to take a steady learning curve, so the next attempt would only be a tiny bit easier.

"It's good, right?" he said with a laugh as the Mantine flopped happily in the water. He eventually sat his drink down. "Ok, we had a little treat Let's try this again."
