Normally sized as it seemed to be, Leo found himself needing to take a breath after hauling his most recent catch in, only finding a brief reprise after tapping a Pokeball against its head. He set it down alongside the other few he’d captured, humming lowly in thought.[break][break]

…He hadn’t an idea of how long he’d keep doing this, nor how many Pokemon he’d end up with before long, but he figured that one amidst the growing pool would stay with him.[break][break]

The others would be released, of course— but that would be when his fishing venture was done and over with. For the meantime, he simply leaned over to take the hook between his fingers long enough to attach another piece of bait before casting it out into the water again.

It was a smaller catch compared to the rest, but just like the other were, he readied a Pokeball as he pulled the next creature into the air, promptly tapping the capsule against its head before giving it a somewhat haphazard toss to the side to join his other finds.[break][break]

Simple as that, he baited the hook up before long and casted the line out, narrowing and straining his eyes faintly to catch the ripple made by the hook and its bob within the distance.[break][break]

…And thus did the waiting game begin again.[break][break]

A Barraskewda wasn't a bad catch, either. Zev really did have options now regarding which Pokémon he wanted to keep after the fishing competition was over. He put the Barraskewda in a temporary Pokéball as well, then cast his line once more.[break][break]

His phone buzzed with a new message. Checking it, he saw it was from one of his bar managers. He quickly tapped out a reply, sending it just as his rod vibrated with the strength of another bite.[break][break]

Phew, she was glad she'd just pulled up one Wishiwashi! Apparently, when they were in trouble, they'd school up into huge fish monsters to scare off prey. Good thing this one didn't see her as a threat once she unhooked it! It joined the school, and Julia cast her line again.
