Mei gladly took the hot beverage offered to her by Yumi Hasegawa. "I did build these as a kid, but admittedly, I was never very good at it," she chuckled. "Your observation betrays my lack of talent." After all, neither of the balls of snow Mei had rolled thus far were meant to be the bottom of her snowboy. One was supposed to be the middle and one the top. They were both a bit too big, it was true. She set her drink aside after a few sips, and knelt down to start re-shaping them.[break][break]
"I know it takes longer if I do it myself, rather they rely on a Pokémon to do the work," She eyed Yumi's Mimikyu, but not unkindly. "But there's something nice about doing this every year. No matter how successful I am, I like the tradition." With that, she focused on her task, humming along to the Santa Baby tune that had started playing over the speakers.[break][break]

Zev laughed as Kazimir Wynter's Lucario ran up for a treat of its own, nearly bowling over angelo vestri's entire snowboy in the process. Thankfully only the back part of it collapsed, making it look like a very sad yeti indeed.[break][break]

"There are enough treats for everyone!" Zev assured the Pokémon gathered around him, but then said in a less certain voice, "I hope."[break][break]

At least kyle lopez's Mightyenas seemed too preoccupied with playing to swarm Zev for snacks. Angelo's snowboy might not survive such a stampede.[break][break]

Just in case, Zev glanced over at his own snowboy in the distance, relieved to see it was still intact despite all of the chaos around them.

While he did feel sorry for it that apologetic sentiment died the moment he saw angelo vestri bump into his snowboy and knock its head clean off. "Frosty!" Kaz looked like a mad yeti as he skidded towards the fallen head of his snowboy and craddled it into his arms. "Oh my god you killed him Angelo! You fugger!" He screamed before turning his wail into a laugh at the irony of it all, Frosty the Snowboy, taken before his time. "Okay okay, I guess I earned that one."

“Not really much of a bet,” he turns to PENELOPE LIVY, his lips quirk into a sharp smile, hungry for her fighting words.

It's not dampened by the premature near-loss of her very tempting dare, what with Kazimir Wynter having already been on the verge of tears.

There's a mischievous, Jack Frost sparkle in his eye as he turns back to the councilwoman he'd become familiar with. “But I'll bite. What're you willing to wager?”

Bit by bit, the ball of snow would be rolled along - growing bigger and bigger by the second. Although as Ettie and Princess worked together to push it, a yip from Duchess drew their attentions over. In the Electrike's mouth, there appeared to be a scarf - and the little pup's tail wagged with obvious joy at having retrieved it... Not that anyone in the pack - excluding perhaps Duchess - knew where it came from!

Still, this would look cool on a snowboy! "Good Duchess!" Ettie praised happily - accepting the scarf, and loosely draping it around her shoulders for the time being.

Something else would come to draw Ettie's attention though - namely, chatter amongst a few other people. Something about Darmanitans, and.... Yetis? What was a yeti? Were the Darmanitans - whatever they were - yetis? She could see a few pokemon she'd never seen before who seemed to be looking over the different snowboys with an appraising gaze, but... The wildchild didn't exactly get it. "... Huhm."

Maybe if she kept listening in on people as she worked, she'd figure more out? There was a lot she didn't know, about this... Hoo-lee-day stuff.

After putting the finishing touches on his Snowboy, Ashley just places his left hand on his hip, and eyes the three headed dragon snowboy. He was grinning. "Wow that looks nice. Good job on the scarf, Sunny. Chili, great job eating snow, and Maple... you kept it stable." He smiles, moving towards kepler brueshaber now that his was done.

"I hope we can do this next year too."

He seems so genuine in his expression, a small wish to hope they both made it to next year at all. As Chili, Sunny, and Maple all gave noises next to Ash, he prepares to assist Kepler with his own. He wasn't getting hot cocoa without him.

With a holiday outfit on, a new pokemon at his side to learn something new, and a reason to help support the Rangers Razz was mostly ready for the day. He didn't honestly think he'd made it as he had a job to do earlier, but he was able to get it done quicker than expected. So here he was, seeing if he couldn't teach Tango how to have fun in the snow, and not just immediately melt it. [break][break]

Razz squats down to be more level with his two pokemon as it seemed like the charcadet was looking at snow for the very first time in his life. "Salem why not show him how its done?" he questions as salem jumps up in some excitement as he makes a little snowball to show it to Tango before using his psychic to roll the snow and make it grow. "Okay, Sia," Zelle addressed her Vulpix. "Are you ready to make a snowboy?" She winced slightly, unsure why she was out here in the freezing cold amid many other laughing and frolicking participants, but another look at the shining, excited gaze of her Pokemon jogged her memory.

"Vul, vul," the foxlike Pokemon replied, wagging her six tails and sending snowflakes flying.

"Okay, then," Zelle said with a shrug, clad in several layers, including a puffy white winter coat, snow pants, and boots.

She woodenly began assembling a snowboy, taking several handfuls of snow and piling it onto an already existing pile of snow. The idea was that once she did that, maybe Vulpix could use her fire breath to melt it more into a sphere shape.

"Here goes nothing!" Zelle declared, once she was satisfied with the size. "Use Flamethrower!"

Summer noticed Callan Young working away at his own snowboy, patting together balls of snow to stack upon each other. He seemed hyperfocused, ready to finish it or add details. It was kind of cute, seeing him in this element.

He was being called over by someone she didn't know. Perhaps a friend of Callan's, though it almost looked like he was too involved in his snowboy that he noticed. Nevertheless, Summer rolled her growing ball of snow closer, stopping beside Callan's.

"Fancy meeting you here, Mr. Rockstar. Enjoying the frigid weather?" she asked with a smirk, tilting her head to the side.

Beside her, Summer's THIEVUL, Loki, leaped around the snow, digging holes and burying her face into the snow. A little scarf was wrapped around her neck, a Christmas bow on top of her head.

"Loki, don't lose your bow!"

By the time she's rolling the snow into a new shape (hopefully the snowboy's middle part), another drink has mysteriously materialized into her hands. The sweet tangy scent of mulled cider waffles up into her nostrils, and Skyler breathes heavily, reminded of holidays spent with the raucous cheer of the Dross family. Her family.

A specific memory jumps to mind, of Aunt Jules clad in a Christmas-themed bikini (she had no idea those were a thing), running around the house bellowing seasonal songs. Suspicions had never really stuck to one person, but Skyler is almost certainly sure it was Nana Dross who'd spiked the drinks.

Taking a step back and looking at the lumpy mess of a snowboy she'd created, Skyler feels smugly arrogant about her own creation.

Curiosity had grabbed Ettie's attention, with all the chatter from the other people around her - chatter about things she didn't entirely understand. Whilst the pack was still working on their own snowboy, Ettie would wander off to look amongst the other snowboys that had been built here, and the people who were mingling amongst one another. In particular, the chatter of a few young adults would catch the young girl's attention.

"What are you guys hoping for this year?" Spoke up one, as they worked together to put together the bottom of a Snowboy.

"Knowing my family, I'll probably be getting socks or a sweater - probably gonna need 'em, with the weather." Spoke the second, chuckling.

However, the third would notice Ettie's presence - and he'd smile, gesturing to invite her over. "Hey kiddo, do you got any holiday wishes?"

Ettie cocked her head. "Wish?" She asked - blinking a bit. What did that mean?

"Ya know," The first person spoke up once more. "What are you hoping to get this year? Any toys, or games?"

What did Ettie hope to find..? The wildchild would consider the question for a few long seconds - humming to herself, before settling upon... "Ettie want big pack!"

A couple of the trio would glance to each other, faintly puzzled - both at the response, and her manner of speech. "Like... A new backpack?" Asked the third person.

Which, Ettie shook her head - and instead pointed back to where her pokemon were still rolling the snowball along. (In fact, it was looking pretty decent sized, wasn't it? She should probably help direct them soon.) "Pack!" She supplied with a bright smile. "More pack! More friends!"

The second individual smiled at this, nodding. "Heck yeah, you can't go wrong with more friends." He agreed.

Ettie grinned and nodded at this, before turning back around - returning to her packs' side, resuming work on the snowboy.

Mei continued to work on her snowboy, frustrated that each new ball of snow she formed seemed to end up a bit too small to actually function as a proper bottom for the figure. Nephele fluttered about, trying to be helpful, but Mei waved her off. The young woman sighed, then stepped back to take a break and clear her head.[break][break]

As his fugger of a betrayer was busy waging bets with others Kaz was hard at work rebuilding his precious snowboy. Luckily for him only one part of it was really damaged so it wouldn't take much to fix it, he just had to make sure that he did it right. That's when he looked over and noticed the Darmanatin rolling around in the snow and he couldn't help but mimic their rolling with the ball of snow in his hand and almost shaped it like one of them. Maybe doing so will make it look even better than the last top part he lost.
