WINTER MASQUERADE
Been a while since he indulged in this. He was surprised when he recieved the invitation, though a quick scour through the internet revealed it to be a far more common occurrence than one might've thought. It was a grand celebration, as it turned out, and the number of invitees bordered on the dangerous.
The amount of possible criminal elements present was— well, it went without saying that it was best to maintain your facade, if only to avoid any possible altercations.
But despite these possible dangers... Gwyar still arrived— with plus two.
The man who walked through the doors and into the Masquerade had a bit more bounce to his step than he might've had a mere few weeks prior. He was... revitalized, one could say.
After all— he had finally made his journey home. Finally assessed the damage for himself. And mercifully— precious little had befallen his family.
Didn't mean he was about to leave them in Galar for that monster to pick off.
"A masquerade, huh? Not exactly showing us the sights, old man. We've been through this song and dance plenty of times back home."
"Hnnn... Lots of complaining for someone who spent an hour choosing a mask. Don't mind her, papa— she loves dancing."
"Huh? No. I don't. People just keep asking me for dances."
"Yes— because you're so good at it."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I like it."
"You could always say no~."
"Shut it. Mordred, deal with her."
"Whaaa! Protect me, Gareth!~"
The blonde knight simply smiled, watching the two siblings bicker. The Dark Triad could claim whatever it wanted— The Gods were definitely on his side.
"Alright you two." The man interjected softly, prompting the two teenagers to glance at their father, one smiling, the other bored. "We've been through this before. Got everything you need?"
"Yeaup." "Yes Sir!" The two replied quickly, reaching down to pat the Rapier Honedges at their sides. The man smiled.
"Perfect. Mordred, Gareth. Look after them, yes?"
The two masked Kirlia flanking the girls nodded at the man, then at the masked Gallade behind the man. Once again, Gwyar couldn't help his smile.
He often heard of parents who might've complaints about the way their children had turned out.
Couldn't be him.
"Then let us reconvene at the exit at midnight." The man said, all three of them popping open their pocket watches in time before looking at each other. "Have fun, girls. If you need me, you know how to call."
The two young ladies nodded, one smiling brightly, the other looking bored, before splitting off from the man with their pokemon in tow, disappearing into the masquerade.
"Hoh..." The man released a breath, before turning his gaze towards the masked Gawain, grinning. "What about you? Not going to go off on your own?"
The blue Gallade snorted. He chuckled.
"Sorry; I didn't give you much time to find a date, did I?" The man said as he turned towards the bar. "Ah well. Let's go find ourselves a drink."
TL;DR -Gwyar has arrived. -WITH THE FAM. -Gwynevere Wledig, eldest daughter, accompained by Mordred the Kirlia and Clarent the Honedge. -Gwendolyn Wledig, youngest daughter, accompained by Gareth the Kirlia and Robigus the Honedge. -And of course, Gwyar Wledig, Father, accompained by Gawain the Gallade and Galatine the Aegislash. -The young ladies are out and about. I might send them to harass your way -Gwyar's getting a drink. Will be going to Brynnhildr Erling soon.
